Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: beautiful resort. friendly staff.

beautiful resort, lovely staff, safe for kids, teenagers.relaxing there are some need to improve like gym, activity should extend a bit late spa open longer hour. they shut down early! wifi is bad electric down many times during day and night need more hotel information for guest like laundry, where to call when needed, house keeping time, mini bar…, i think the situation after covid i give them close to 5 stars p/s washroom and toilet are uncomfortable display missing door ….?

Memories Jibacoa: Nice and quiet resort

Our overall impression was pretty positive. The resort is a bit dated but clean. The room had everything we needed except the coffeemaker was broken. Other people complained about little things like a broken balcony handle or a leaking fridge (typical for Cuba). The beach is nice and spacious with a lot of shade from trees. A good thing is that you do not have to save spots -there's plenty of room for everyone all day long. The coral reef is amazing - if you choose this resort, take snorkeling [... read more] gear with you! The food was rather monotonous but you do not go to Cuba for food. Entertainment is high quality (again, typical for Cuba). The service is pretty good, the staff is friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with our Sunwing rep, Milena. She went above and beyond to make us happy and spent as much time with us as we needed. Many thanks to her for taking her time t answering our numerous questions and finding the right excursions for us! In general, it was worth the money.

Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort!

We had a great stay at Grand Memories resort with all the comforts of home. Really friendly and helpful staff.We spent every day at the pool and enjoyed the short distance to the beach. I only wished we had stayed a little longer. We will definitely be back!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memories are special

This is my second time at this resort. Go with an open mind and enjoy what Cuba has to offer. Remember that Cuba does not have access to the supplies most countries have, however they seem to make the best of their situation. Beach is second to none and people are also fantastic. If you are going for variety at the buffet pick a different country. The junior suite is perfect and the resort is very good for walking.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Not what we remembered

This was our 3rd trip to this resort and it was definitely not what we remembered. Ensenachos beach is by far the best beach we have ever been on and we’ve been all over. The beach absolutely lived up to what we were expecting and remembered. The food was okay, you don’t go to Cuba for the food. As far as everything else, it failed. The room was awful, toilet was leaking water on the floor, the safe was ripped off the wall and no hot water the whole time we were there. The hotel did noth [... read more]ing, we went down to the front desk everyday for the same things and everyday they said it would be taken care of … it never was. I understand that Covid hit the island hard and still is but there is no excuse for not for fixing the things that were wrong with our room. I could have fixed them if I had some tools. Very sad to say but this is our last trip to this resort because you can’t find a better beach.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Terrible resort - over stated rating by travel agency

This resort was not somewhere I would recommend anyone to stay. It’s dated, no renovations have been done in a long time. Washroom was dirty in the room, no AC in our room, food was terrible and same dishes every day. Staff was short handed but tried to do their best. The resort had majority locals. They ran out of coffee one day, ran out of beer one day. The 1 and a half pool was not maintained. Even the drinks were poor. Stop overselling your resorts by rating them higher than they are. Would not recommend this resort to anyone and would ls say do not use tripcentral rating blindly.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Fell in love with Cuba, fell in love with Dhawa!

I am so glad we decided to go with Dhawa for our first trip to Cuba. The entire package was incredibly cost effective with absolutely everything planned and taken care of for us from our flights to our hotel transfer. We felt like celebrities being welcomed at the airport by our transport, and almost the entire way to the hotel on the bus our advisor provided useful information and some history of Cuba - it was like a free tour! The resort is absolutely beautiful and the staff in all the restau [... read more]rants and bars and for all the amenities and activities were like family members welcoming us home; they couldn't have been nicer. The lobby staff seemed a bit more stressed and scattered, which is understandable as they get very busy sometimes. It is a newer resort so everything is absolutely gorgeous, but it does mean that they are still figuring out some of the amenities and activities - so take the entertainment with a pinch of salt, and be prepared for a whole lot of dancing! The gym is also a bit smaller, but there is a nice balance of cardio and strength based equipment and the staff are so friendly in there. The trip advisor was so very helpful with all of the tours that we wanted to do, and we saw some incredible things for such reasonable prices - I would recommend literally ever tour, and would suggest doing more than 1. The only minor inconvenience we had is that the wifi is done in units of hours, and is only available to "top-up" between 9am and 5pm. Sometimes after not using my phone for the day, I was still unable to connect to the wifi, making it a little difficult to contact friends at the resort to figure out when we were meeting for dinner and where. We just got good at having a schedule and sticking to it, and took it as a welcome break from our phones. The views really are stunning here, but I think the staff really made Dhawa the ultimate experience for us and would absolutely go again.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Awful Place

Unfortunately we stay at this hotel for a week , the hotel is falling apart, room service very bad at the point I had to fight for a toilet paper and bottle of water at the service desk.I know what to expect when I travel to Cuba special in the hotels but this in particular is the worse, main toilet beside the bar always dirty and awful smell , at the restaurant you have to inspect very well the utensils otherwise they can give you dirty plate or stained glass . Hotel Playa Paraiso: Excellent customer service

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing resort

Loved the rooms very clean pool was amazing service on the restaurant was great enjoyed working out daily in the fitness room ocean was spectacular the grounds were well kept the butler service was great the visitors were enjoying the place also

Paradisus Varadero: Great Resort

We stayed at Paradisus for 7days and it was a fabulous trip for my son and myself. There was hardly any mosquitos as mentioned from previous travellers. The food was very good and the deserts were great. Instead of 200 Choices of food like in Mexico, you had 100 which was more than enough to enjoy. I recommend the Japanese restaurant, which was great and entertaining. The beach and water was perfect, no weeds and very clean. Resort was beautiful, employees all very attentive and friendly Only issue was being locked out of our room 3/7 days as it keep breaking and never got fixed properly only down side no access to ur belongings lol

Paradisus Varadero: Adults only for sure

Go to the adults only Royal Great place to relax and very clean. You can eat at all the restaurants anytime and a-La-cart is unlimited. Pool is cleaner if you plan on travel in summer. With the shortage through out the world don’t except 100% after Covid. Everyone has to catch up!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful beach

We go to Cuba just for the beaches and this beach was amazing - crystal clear water and white sand with a sand bar in the water and a long stretch of beach to take nice walks. The buildings are older, the rooms are clean, but very basic. The pressure in the shower is not good and only a small amount of water trickles out. The staff are absolutely amazing and couldn't do enough for us. The food is typical Cuba; they run out of things like beer, mint, coffee, no pizza in the snack bar etc, but we  [... read more]don't go to Cuba for the food. We could always find something to eat though. We would go back to this hotel for the beautiful beach and not for a luxury vacation.

Blau Varadero: Sunwing horrible

We traveled this summer with Sunwing 3 times , May to Cancun , June Punta Cana and August to Varadero. The worst.of the worse . Airport staff so rude , customer service the lowest we ever seen. We do not and we will not recommend or travel with Sunwing.

Iberostar Grand Packard: Perfect Getaway

Our three night stay was made perfect by the wonderful staff and superb accommodations. The hotel location made sightseeing and absorbing the local culture and history a delightful experience. We would recommend this location to anyone.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Fabulous Vacation

Vacation was awesome from start to finish. Food, although lacking in some resources, was well prepared and tasty. Most of the staff were wearing masks and hand sanitizer was readily available around the resort. COVID quarantine rules were closely followed. Have been to Cuba 29 times; strongly recommend this resort.

Playa Vista Azul: Decent resort

Resort was fairly decent. Great pools and beaches. Hotel room was clean, and had excellent maid service. All service was super good and friendly. Food was alright, would have liked more variety and didn't get a change to enjoy a la carte because of the lack of reservations. Over all still a good experience.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Amazing!

We stayed at the Ansagna from Aug 6-13.Everything was great! The hotel and our room were nice and clean. The food was very good and lots of choices. The staff was very nice, polite & extremely friendly. LOVED this resort, beach, people and would recommend it to everyone.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Love You to the Beach and Back

Another superb vacay! We are overwhelmed with the enthusiasm of the staff when they see us and run to say hola asking if we need assistance. The best dinner was Gala night. It was the best lobster that was smothered in warm, melted butter accompanied with tender, mouthwatering steak with flavourful cream sauce. The lounge bar staff Lio, Anet, JJ & Adrianna our dear friends looked after us in the evenings and had big smiles when they saw us walk into the room. Lio handles the bar well, polite with customers, always wanting to please. We were ecstatic to see Jesús at the Sanctuary! He was truly missed by many guests. The cart driver Luis Andres has a huge, charismatic personality that engulfs the Sanctuary with happiness. Collectively the cart drivers are fun, polite, strong men to carry our tons of luggage. Crazy, loveable guys! The snack bar staff are an asset especially Roxy. Nice, welcomed touch is the BBQ at the beach bar at lunchtime. Ribs, chicken, sausage & hamburgers. Words cannot describe the legend Alex Basanta! Oh boy he does not stop, the energy he has is phenomenal. Hard working, pleasant and most important he knows baseball especially NYY. Siempre nuestro hogar!
