Muthu Playa Varadero: Great staff

I had a great time consider the weather it was a great stay. Staff was nice food was good and beach was amazing I would go back again. It is close to alot of great places to visit and close to the air port

Muthu Playa Varadero: Great value. Amazing people

I enjoyed my week at this hotel. For that price its a great value. The doors did not close perfectly. The showers are a bit old. The rooms could be redecorated but i am not going to cuba for those reasons. I was going mainly for the amazing people and the service they deliver. For the amaing beach and the nice weather. So i was not disapointed. I have been to this hotel 3 times and i have no complaints for the price i paid. I you like luxury and perpect doors and nice decoration go somewhere el [... read more]se and make sure you paid above 1000. Don't spect perfection when your spending less than a thousand dollars. I will keep very good memories from piña collada made by adam at the bar. Great mojitos from laysie at the bar and good care of my room by milady. And finally amazing service by the waiters like angel and julio cesar at the buffets

Melia Varadero: Beautiful Resort, Great Location With Level Upgrade

We stayed at the Melia Varaderoin January 2018 on the Level. The Service was amazing Mabel's team did not disappoint, including Umberto at the beach. Everything was taken care of for us, we can't say enough about the service and the upgrade perks were most defiantly worth it. We enjoyed all the a la carts, my favorite was the Tex Mex steak house. Buffet staff was friendly and quick to clear the tables. Entertainment staff was engaging. I would recommend this resort.

Hotel Los Cactus: Good time

The hotel was cozy. Needs more entertainment though. Most of the workers were friendly, drinks were good. And the food was okay. Didnt go hungry. 30-40 min walk to down town veradero. Favourite part was down town

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Smokers paradise.

The rooms need some love especially the rock hard mattresses that you can feel the springs on. The grounds are beautiful and so is the beach. Even if there are cigarette butts everywhere. Which brings me to my biggest problem. You can smoke EVERYWHERE both cigarettes and cigars. The lobby was always smoke filled. Very disappointing. With a place of this size it should be easy to have smoking and non smoking areas. Food was not great but if your a fish eater you should be fine. Bring your o [... read more]wn ketchup. The gym was filthy!! We mention 3x and they did give it a sweep but that place needs a deep clean. The pools were freezing so no one could go in and in "winter" all three hot tubs are closed?!?! People were beyond friendly. And the show every night was worth going to see.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Resort was fine

Resort was great stuff was great had no problems with the resort itself food was very good only problem was the young people from Quebec they wouldn’t stop partying till six in the morning Lifeguards on the beach were extremely helpful with any problems especially Victor

Resonance Blu Varadero: some positives some needs improvement

We stayed at Memories Varadero Jan 8-15. The resort is quite large which isn't a bad thing, atleast you get daily exercise! The beach is stunning! They have a section for diamond club and theres always loungers available. The bars on the beach are great and the snack bar BBQ was good as well. The food at the buffet was repetitive but that is like any resort really, and again like anywhere you go in Cuba, food is hit or miss. The grounds are lovely, the staff are amazing, my boyfriend lost his chain with 2 rings on it and two days later we were told a young girl found it and gave it to a staff member from the entertainment them and when we located him he had it and gave it to us!! The shows are great the disco is super fun at night and the activities during the day are super fun and really get people involved. Now of course for the needs improvement part. I don't wanna say negative things as I know the staff work so so hard to keep people happy but these are just 2 things that i feel can be worked on. The bathrooms at night at the theatre and around the disco area are just horrid...sadly.. i get the no toilet paper thing so i always had some on me, but the smell of sewer coming from somewhere and out of 3 toilets 1 flushed and the bathroom was flooded every night, hopefully it was just water lol But if the toilets were all working and the source of the leak was fixed it would be great. The other thing was the cleanliness of the activity pool...garbage left for days, debris in the pool floating, cigarette butts that have been in the pool and around for days, i get thats the ignorance pf the guests being lazy and dirty but it would be nice if each morning it was cleaned up. I had a good time and met amazing people and Chico from the entertainment team was just wonderful, will i go back? Sadly no, i thought i would try a new place but i think ill go back to my usual spot :) Keep up the great work though Memories

Grand Memories Varadero: Grand Memories Resort: the 2 star experience...

No mohitos available in the hotel...in a Cuban hotel... Cuban Restaurant closed...in a Cuban hotel... My room was closest to the Cuban bar, therefore due to the volume of the live bands I got to sleep @ 1AM each night. I had multiple centipede problems in my room probably due to the angle of the hallway to the entrance of my suite, which pooled water and attracted bugs under the door and into the room. Guests are only permitted to make 2 reservations per week in the a la carts. Never had thi [... read more]s issue in Quatros Palmas previous years. Too Many French speaking entertainment nights in Cuban Bar. Cannot understand what is being said. When it rains, there's usually only 1 place to go, the lobby which is packed with people and no where to sit. Sometimes had 1 small bath towel in the room, sometimes had 2, thin and stained at times. Filtered water not replenished daily. Mirror in bathroom has paint/stain splatter on it. House keeping sometimes cleaned the room daily, and sometimes didn't. Overall condition of room was a 1 star. Check in at front desk was good. Trying to find our rooms at 5AM in the dark was not. Older staff member who drives the golf passenger cart was not helpful in finding our room. Just pointed to the other side of the resort and drove away. Staff in lobby bar and the coffee bar were fantastic. Italian restaurant food was sub par. Food in international restaurant was better. Customers who want to buy a cigar are not permitted to enter the walk in humidor in the gift shop. Every other place in the world will let customers do this. And I buy a lot of cigars...but not from this resort. Chairs are being reserved at the beach or paid for to the staff with a few pesos, so if you arrive at the beach after 9ish, there's no more chairs available. Second buffet was only open twice in 8 days. The zombie show in front of the buffet was scaring some older people and children. Not smart...not sure who the general manager is of this hotel, but they need to wake up and start caring about their property. The issues listed above are not that difficult to fix. I used to sell products to hotels so have stayed and dealt with a lot of them. I would rate this hotel as a 1 or 2 star at best. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not...value for money? 2/10.

Paradisus Varadero: Beautiful Resort

I would like to thank you kindly for the wonderful vacation spot. The beach was incredible, the service was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone. Thank you again for all your help. A trip I will never forget.

Grand Memories Varadero: Very nice resort

We enjoyed our stat here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pools and the grounds of the resort were lovely. The beach was great, not to far if you book the buildings/rooms down closer to the beach. The food was good, nothing to write home about but Cuba's not about the food. There was a nice variety even though and the hours of the meals were well laid out. The nightly entertainment was really nice as well. Definitely would go again.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort.

The grounds were beautiful, great rooms, friendly & helpful staff. Lots of activities to participate in if you choose. Evening shows were amazing. Great selection of food & very well presented. Beautiful beaches.

Grand Memories Varadero: Memories I will definitely remember

Worst resort I have been in. This is my second time to Cuba and I have been to numerous all inclusive resorts. Resort was dirty, buffet served the same food everyday and a lack of beach chairs. When I checked in at 6:00 am after a 7 hour flight, there were no towels in my room and the toilet was not flushing. The room had a musky smell. Also the room was situated right across the Cuban Bar which played until 1 am. You are in Cuba thinking that Mojitos will be readily available...not here.  [... read more] No Mojitos. Not only that, the specialty Cuban Restaurant was closed the entire time we were there. There is second buffet area but was always closed. So the first buffet area was a nightmare with no clean tables available. Stay away from this resort.

Club Kawama: We love Club Kawama

Hotel was great. Loved the fact that our room was in a bungalow. Fun to walk through the resort. Food was great. Pool beautiful and beach sublime! Staff were friendly. Not fancy but comfortable and homey. would take my family there again.

Starfish Jibacoa: Great 2nd visit to this amazing property

This is a nice place to visit, relax and enjoy a break from the winters here in Canada. Overall, property is well maintained, our bungalo was very clean, everything worked. Staff are amazing and an asset to this property.

Brisas Del Caribe: Pleasant resort

The rooms, food ground, pool are not spectacular, but the staff is great, and the beach is the best I've ever seen. The bread, fruit, fish, and chicken is good. To a large extent you get what you pay for, It was a good deal, and an enjoyable holiday. And if anyone can explain how those Cuban women dance like that, I would like to know.

Club Karey: Very relaxing

To start with, we wanted somewhere calm and relaxing and that exackly what we got. Aldo the hotel really got damage by IRMA, the renos are well on the way. And if you think of 2 stars well you really get your money worth., We when to Cuba betore and never was the food so good and deversed, they had every thing to fill are bellies. We had Crab one night, shimps to other nights, beek chicken and fish to die for. Salads , vedgies., well i was amazed. Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Solid Resort

The resort was well maintained and had a nice layout to it. The weather and pools were colder than usual which made it less common for people to be in them having a good time. However, it was still a very fun trip and the food and drinks were still very good compared to other resorts we have been to.

The resort was overall pretty good. The weather was a bit cooler than expected and it reflected in the water temperature. Wasn't as busy at the pool bar or at the resort in general as I would have liked. Overall, we enjoyed the drinks, food and service provided and I'm sure if it wasn't January the weather would have been much warmer.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Cuban home away from home

This was our third stay at Muthu Playa Varadero formerly called Playa de Oro. Again we enjoyed the resort, the staff and we will be back. The resort is small enough that we feel at home yet big enough to provide everything we are looking for. Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Worthwhile experience
