Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Perfect holiday

3rd time at Ambar Green...cleanliness is important and the staff do an amazing job keeping it picture perfect. Some construction going on...but you barely knew that . Food is good..I am a foodie...there is a good selection..no one seems to get sick..like Mexico. I will be returning again for sure.

Riu Palace Macao: wonderful resort

The hotel was just a nice size. food was excellent. The staff were amazing. Very friendly and accomadating. The swim up pool bar was fantastic, with lots of room and seating. Fun activities. The rooms were moderate. Overall an excellent experience. We would travel agaim.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: DISSAPOINTING RESORT.BAD MANAGEMENT

grounds were well kept,and pools were clean .were in junior suite royal golden supreme .which gave us very little in extras for the money, rooms smelled damp and mouldy, could not see beach could however we did see into our neighbour' s bedroom. we spent no time on our patio because of invading their pprivacy .after visiting other bahais .we were very disappointed .everyone could use our facalities but we could not use theirs, .combo of 5 resorts.not well managed at all.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Vacation - Amazing Resort!

After experiencing a bad experience a few years ago in Dominican Republic, we were hesitant to book, but so happy we did!! The food was fantastic at both the a la cartes and buffet, grounds were clean and beautiful - well cared for, rooms were quiet and clean with good amenities, beach was great, beach bar was fantastic, staff at all restaurants and bars were friendly, fun and made you feel welcome! The rooms are connected via courtyards all the way down to the beach on either side of the pools as well as a wide walkway made to accommodate the carts to drive you wherever you want to go on the property, making it accessible for everyone. The beach buffet had wonderful food every day. Overall, this property is well worth the time and money spent there!

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Slightly disappointed

This is my second time going to this resort in 2 years. I had such a great vacation here the first time I brought two other couples with me this year. The staff is extremely friendly. The food is some of the best that I have had in Punta Cana. There is lots of work being done on the grounds making everything look beautiful. Sadly the quality of the rooms has decreased drastically since I was last here. I don't mind dated rooms as long as they are clean and functional. This time the condit [... read more]ion of the room we had was beyond acceptable. The curtains were black from dirt and mold with holes in them from being aged. Our patio door would not open. A few days into the trip the other side of the patio door was jammed off the track (I am assuming by the cleaning staff) so was partially open all the time which was concerning for me when they fogged the resort . Our phone didn't work and the batteries died in the safe with all our medication locked inside. Our friends were put in three different rooms within the first 3 days, all of which the air conditioning did not work. Despite all this I still enjoyed my vacation but based on the room conditions alone I would not return here..

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Nice beach and friendly staff

Clean and friendly, and great beach location. Safe boxes seem to need some tlc, had to get mine checked 3x until they decided to change the battery. Missed that little extra smile or « thanks and come again » at least from the reception on the way out, but maybe that person had a bad day on that day. Fantastic staff at the buffet and in the lobby bar, thank you very much for the smiles and good sense of humor.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Not impressed

The food was less than desirable other than the ala carte's , buffet is open so flies all on the food and very bland not a lot of selection , even more disappointing the entertainment throughout the day at the pool , 1 day a pool party that's it , no games , same music over and over no interaction from the staff. Evening entertainment was ok the Queen and Las Vegas show were the best , cannot believe u had to pay for 2 of the a la carte restaurants as well as drinks considering I payed for ALL i [... read more]nclusive. I was in building 1 so had to get the train to the main lobby and was told train runs 24 hrs every 15 min , NOT true, I saw ppl with babies and small children waiting up to 45 min ridiculous, do yourself a favour but at the Bahia Principe , that was my choice but was convinced to try the Melia , BIG MISTAKE!!

Excellence Punta Cana: Beautiful getaway

We visited this resort from April 5-12, 2018 and took advantage of their Excellence Club offering (which we highly recommend since it offers quite a few perks). The property itself is absolutely stunning, with a very wide beach frontage and immaculately kept grounds with lots of amenities. There is never a shortage of towels or beach chairs/palapas. There is a wide variety of restaurants at the resort and it's nice that you never have to make reservations. The one exception is at the Asian restaurant, Spice, where you do need to reserve a spot if you want to sit around the hibachi grill. This was a fun experience and is highly recommended! We thought the resort food itself was a solid 4 out of 5. It was always good, but rarely did we consider it a "gourmet" experience by North American standards. Our favourite was the Lobster House and we were not as impressed with the French restaurant. Salad bars are lacking the wide variety of ingredients we've seen at other resorts. The buffet restaurant offered excellent custom omelettes and a wide selection of other foods, all of which were very good. We visited the specialty coffee and dessert shop many times and loved it. What makes this resort stand out is the staff and the superior service they offer! Everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed our vacation. We met many people who are repeat visitors and we can see why. There are also quite a few shops on the property offering a good selection of clothing, jewelry and souvenirs at reasonable prices. We did a shopping excursion organized through Air Transat, but found the prices and selection were no better than on the resort. Considering the long bus ride, it was pretty much a waste of time. The resort's gym has amazing equipment that is new and clean. The yoga class was fun and very relaxing. You can also borrow bicycles or play tennis, pool, ping pong, etc. We visited the disco one night and had a blast. There is no shortage of things to do at the Excellence Punta Cana. As for our Excellence Club room, it was nice but not outstanding. However, the bed was comfortable and everything worked well, and room service was good. All together, we'd definitely recommend this property for those looking for a relaxing holiday complete with all the amenities in beautiful surroundings. Three senior ladies went for a week and totally enjoyed our visit. It’s an older resort but the grounds are kept immaculate. The rooms need some upgrading but are definitely presentable and comfortable. Nothing fancy, very homey. Food was okay, like all other buffets in resorts. The pools were clean. There’s never enough chairs, have to get up early to get one, at the pools and the beach. It’s a big resort with lots of walking but the best part is taking the train along a path way fil [... read more]led with all kinds of wildlife and walking it is even better especially at night.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Returning Guests to an Amazing Resort

This is our 7h time staying at Grand Bahia, 3rd at Ambar Blue. Although Grand Bahia is a huge resort, Blue is an isolated area close to the beach for adults only and although you have access to all amenities throughout the resort, If you are there just to relax, Blue has enough restaurants and bars that there is really no need to go beyond. Hotel rooms, beach and restaurants are all amazing. Food selection is good with plenty of choices. Bar Service can be slow at times. If you want a cabana nea [... read more]r the beach, you have to get up pretty early, before 7, to stake one out with your towels. VERY friendly staff. Although we are beach people, the pool is great with plenty of loungers. Despite any shortcomings referred to above, we will definitely return.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Fair resort

I thought the overall resort was good but rooms a A/C units need to be updated badly....we had 3 different rooms and the air conditioning either didn't work or for very poorly they didn't really want to give us another room our WestJet representative had to get after them!!!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Good trip

Well kept grounds, clean room and lovely beach ... the most important parts to a good vacation. A la carts were good ( Dominican, steak house and Japanese ) . Buffet was decent if not as good as the GBP ones at the Mayan riviera complex . Overall would go back

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Nice but very busy hotel, needs improvements to check in and concierge service

Check-in could be made far easier by an online submission of information prior to landing, their app should include approximate time of room being ready, towel cards handed out while you wait for room. Our room was delayed by almost 2 hours. Well kept grounds but super busy, like 700+ rooms. People reserve chairs at 5 am with towels and don’t return all day. Finding a chair or shade is only for early risers. English is not widely spoken so be prepared. Food was ok, but a warning with those wit [... read more]h allergies as signs were not accurate. If you have a life threatening allergy you need to get a letter at concierge to explain your requirements for staff to be aware in Spanish. Rooms are nice but we would have blankets missing day to day, someday there were enough towels for all room occupants and some day there wasn’t. Lots of mosquitoes in rooms so bring bug spray and allergy meds. Otherwise it was a nice hotel, kids club staff were great. Kids had a blast and I didn’t worry about safety. Go to the BBQ buffet at beach (req reservation) for excellent charcoal grilled meat.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Beautiful Resort

The grounds were beautiful. The room was excellent! The people were very friendly! The beach was awesome! We really enjoyed the Chopsticks restaurant! The buffets were awesome! The bar on the beach ..... large donkey and small donkey were hilarious! The hostess who was serving us drinks on the beach was amazing! It’s nice to have the geotubes there to allow us to go in the water without the waves being too much!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Beautiful but disorganized

Very nice resort, good food and great service however housekeeping and registration needs tweaking...it took us 3 hours at the reception desk to finally get our room! Otherwise, the food, service and location were wonderful!

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Great family spot

We stayed here with 2 young children and met other family there as well. Everybody had a great time! Great resort! Lots to do for everyone! I will not however book with Tripcentral again because the agent we used was terrible. After the initial booking, she took forever replying to my emails about hotels near the airport and didn’t come through when she said she would. I ended up booking myself.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Good time but a little unsatisfied

Rooms are lovely as expected Check in or out was fine Bars were nice and friendly but lacking some liquors like baileys Irish cream or Appletons rum.(which we have had at other secrets resorts) Staff are extremely nice and always happy to help in any way. Of course there are minor language barriers but that is to be expected and is part of the fun in going to another country. Very limited to the left and maybe half a mile to the right Our air Transat rep wasn't even there the day we were to meet him. He could not have been less enthusiastic in helping us.

We had a wonderful family vacation loved the perfect size of the resort everything was a short walk to get to!! The beach was awesome lots of loungers, but had to get up early to get a palapa 😎 the food was excellent the buffet had lots of variety and the beach restaurant had great lunch choices in small portions(soft ice cream in sugar cones was amazing) Brazilian and Japanese were the only a la cartes we done but they were both fantastic!! The only complaint I have is the front desk staff were not very friendly or easy to deal with but dealing with them was only a short amount of our stay. The shows were good but they didn’t start till 945 so was a bit late for kids and early risers but they were good shows. Overall a great resort!!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: superb resort

This hotel and resort was immaculate! The staff never stopped working to keep everything from the rooms to the grounds sparkling clean. I was very impressed! I would also like to mention how much fun the entertainment was at the pool. We never stopped laughing! Water aerobics was a blast! We miss it already. Would go back in a heartbeat!
