Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Above average resolt

The grounds are very nice, however the buildings and rooms are tired. The room we had was sub par until we were moved after some complaining. The toilet ran and had sewer smell and annoying flies from the drains. The food is very good and wait staff exceptional.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Gorgeous resort

We loved this resort easy getting around , great buffets, beautiful rooms , only thing is we missed the green carribean water , how ever the water was calm and the sandy beach is huge lots of chairs with hut umbrellas , could always get a seat, entertainment was good , , the down side was it’s around hour and 20 min from airport, out flight with air Canada was delayed 3 half hours , which we didn’t mind as we got to stay longer , very relaxing resort , would recommend .

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: amazing hotel , five stars

my review has no words ,everything was amazing. excepted the French dining, we had to pay 30 u s a dollars per person plus the wine the food was very cold and plus was a very bad service the waiters had no class to work in French restaurant , everybody was complaining I advice for people not to go there, not waste there money and time. the resort and hotel was excellent and beautiful I would like to thanks Tammy Templeton, for her service. and help and the time she spend with me  [... read more] on the phone ,very helpful . Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Exceptional resort

We were extremely happy with this resort, the food was great at all restaurants, the grounds were constantly being maintained and were in great condition and the staff was always friendly and helpful. I especially enjoyed the activities and Jefferson (aka coca cola) he made the beach volleyball, waterpolo and evening entertainment my favorite part of the stay. We found that all food servers were great but Edward really stood out as our favorite because of his kind personality. We found the re [... read more]sort nicely layed out and liked the variation in building styles as it kept us interested as we toured the grounds. Emilio was a great help with getting us checked in/out and making sure dinner reservations were made to the preferred restaurant for each night. We found the drinks good and were happy with the quality of the liquor used. The private beach was small but a good size for the resort and sand was great with the exception of the odd piece of coral.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bed bugs

Enjoyed the resort and it's amazing beach, beautiful landscaping , and great food BUT did not enjoy coming home to having bed bug bites erupt on my legs and arms. This was a first for me while travelling . I want the mansgemen to investigate our room and get back to us. The box spring was very old and stained and I am sure that is the source. I expect some compensation.. We stayed in building 20 room 204.

Riu Republica: Great Place to Get Away

We really enjoyed our stay and met many great people. Many Canadians, Lots of Russians, few Americana, and Spanish. Entertainment and Food were amazing, New Facilities and Friendly Staff. Drinks are served at the beach, and never an issue finding a beach chair. On-site Water park.

VH Atmosphere: Rest and Relax

Hotel staff were excellent and friendly. Food was good and rooms were clean and comfortable. If your looking for a place to destress and relax this is the place for you. Only disappointment was the lack of night life.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Very nice!

I liked the grounds although to get from the main hotel to the beach is a long a bit of a walk up and down stairs. Staff and service are friendly. The food is decent, I particularly enjoyed the lunchtime pasta. It would be nice to see a bit more athletic options, maybe a half basketball court or something. The jacuzzi didn't have warm water which seemed weird to me. I booked last minute so the value was amazing. Riu Republica: Resort 5*, food 3*

Hotel was good overall, great staff and customer service, all was good except for the food. I checked with at least 15 other travellers and said the same. This is a very large hotel with people of all ages but mainly between 20-35. Even though there are approx 1500 rooms, there was no waiting in line anywhere. Show was also decent as well as the music band that played every night.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Average resort

If your looking for quiet vacation stay away from this one very loud music and not enough pool area, food was just average, rooms were clean and staff was good but wouldn’t go back. Drinks where good they even had Clamato juice which was first for me at resorts

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Awesome spot. Would return

We loved Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa for kids and adults alike. Many great food options and things to do all day long. The lazy river was our all time favourite for adults and kids. Drink service pool side was a little slow but we were too busy with kids to care.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Wonderful resort!

We have been to quite a few resorts in the Caribbean, and this is certainly the nicest! The rooms, food, location, activities and ambiance are top notch. What made the Majestic Colonial really stand out was the excellent service provided by the staff. Our needs (and wants) were addressed immediately, and always with a smile. Our butler, Eduardo, made us feel like we really belonged there, and it was nice to have a such a friendly, helpful person to call upon. Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Average Resort

I have been to this resort 3 times, this would be my forth. This time was not a pleasant trip. I called numerous times and visited the front lobby asking for towels in my room on the first day my family and I got to the hotel. I had to wait 2 days for bathroom towels and beach towels, till I finally was given them in my room. I had NO towels for 2 days. And after that, I still had to call everyday for towels. Literally every single day for bathroom towels. I found cockroaches in my room. Th [... read more]e food was very disappointing. Not only did my husband and I get sick but the food was either disgusting or tasted funny. There was no selection. It was a 2 star type of buffet. This hotel has excellent staff during the mornings and afternoons. The evening staff are not as helpful and sometimes can be rude. I was no impressed this time around and I absolutely will not be returning.

Riu Republica: Nice place to stay

Riu Republica is really nice place to stay. The staff are friendly and well trained. Overall the place is clean, close to the sea and offers a lot of possibilities. The food is good. Drinks could be better in quality and variety but still fine. The beach is perfect for people who love waves. Swimming pools are good. We were happy to stay there.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: HUGE FABULOUS RESORT

Large resort with 8 pools, bars and restaurants galore. Stayed at the adults only part which has it's own pool. This resort is well constructed with the best of materials and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel is new and they have a few issues to figure out and when they do it will be one of the nicest resorts in Punta Cana. On Bavaro Beach which is probably the best beach in Punta Cana. They are currently understaffed and they need to teach their workers some basic English as we have to learn s [... read more]ome basic Spanish. There are issues with food not being hot enough in the buffets and with so many allergies they have to label the food before someone suffers a severe reaction. Two simple steps that would mean so much. However staff is friendly and will go out of their way to please you.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: overall great experience

The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The beach was good but not the best as there was heavy waves which only allowed us to be fairly close to the shore. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. What I was disappointed in was the food. options were limited at the buffet, so although i always did find one or two things that i liked, i never felt satisfied after eating. The friend chicken at the snack bar was sometimes a bit stale. Impressive Punta Cana: Terrible ... we got sick

It was our first time travelling without our parents (in our 20's) but we have travelled extensively with our parents and knew what to expect in a 5 star.... but not here. We are not sure exactly if it is the issues were systemic in the hotel because it's just terrible over all or because we were young and they didn't view us as guests. The check in process was inefficient and the staff was rude and unhelpful .... the food was beyond terrible. Most of the staff was rude with the exception of a few bar tenders. service in the restaurants was slow and insufficient. In most of the restaurants it Took over 30 min just to be asked if we wanted something to drink .... then the dreaded wait time to actually get the drink. Insufficient service in all bars across the hotel.

Excellence El Carmen: Excellente

This is a 5* all inclusive and worth the money. Service is exceptional and a lot of selection at the numerous restaurants. Rooms are beautiful and large and well maintained. The beach is wide and very long and kept clean. Lots of chairs and palapa so no reserving is necessary. Great time

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great Resort

My second time visiting VH Gran Ventana. I really love the location. It's got a great beach. The staff are always cleaning and maintaining the grounds and facilities. The people are really nice. It is a great resort for older people as the pool, beach and restaurants are relatively close together. The food is good, although the a la carte restaurants aren't as good as they used to be. I prefer a much lighter bed cover, ours was very physically heavy and I found it difficult to get comfortable. They had entertainment every night but it was repetitive and can use improving. I would visit again. Location, beach, people and food made for a great vacation.
