Riu Playacar: Rui Playacar

The beach was the most AMAZING beach ever!!! Like anywhere, the staff was excellent! It was a milestone birthday for me and they made it special! Food was repetitive and would have liked some variety. Overall, great memories were made here!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Great Family resort

Beautiful grounds- very tropical & well maintained, lots of resident creatures wandering around ( peacocks, cats, Mexican raccoons & monkies ) Lots of walking & bike paths- definitely recommend bringing a stroller for young kids, you walk everywhere. We stayed in the older section of the resort- rooms were tired & in need of some TLC. Our cleaning Lady did a fabulous job of keeping things spotless. Food was mainly buffet style- OK but not great, lots of choices to keep kids happy though- h [... read more]ot dogs, pizza, fries, ice cream. I would highly recommend the Asian restaurant , show & food were excellent !! Book as soon as you get there, reservations book up quickly. The steakhouse was another favourite & a must. There are lots of activities for kids & this resort is definitely there to cater to their every whim. I would recommend it to young Families & teenagers. We travelled with 4 teenagers ( 13-18 yrs ) They found things to keep them busy for the most part & if they were bored they seemed to always be able to get on the internet- argh !! Not recommended if your travelling with an adult group.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Incredible Vacation

The Riu Palace Costa Mujeres is sheer perfection! Check-in, service, rooms, cleanliness, food, beach and pools were amazing. We loved every minute. The staff were so friendly and helpful and we were very impressed by the extreme cleanliness of the resort. We have never seen or eaten such delicious food on vacation, there were so many choices, something for everyone. The entertainment staff were so energetic and never stopped. Barcelo Maya Caribe: All you need in the Mayan riveria

Great amenities! as an athlete the gym and pools provided great workouts. Great staff like Irene Sanche at the beach pools. Comfortable rooms Would recommend to anyone. This was our 4th visit and hope to go back again

Las Brisas Huatulco: It was a wonderful trip!

The hotel was everything we could have hoped for and more. The weather was perfect, the resort was clean and the staff were like non other. They all went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time and had everything we need. We went on the falls tour, and it was very worth it, and made for a wonderful day. Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Amazing time at the RIU Palace Costa Mujeres

This is our second time that we visit a RIU Palace and I must say that they are fantastic. The staff are so attentive and they are constantly working with a smile on their face to keep their guests feeling so special. The food so flavorful, the buffet has so many selections that anyone is bound to find something that you like. The beach and pools were great, and the bar staff made sure that your drink was always fresh. Great time at the Palace

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: Amazing Resort/Staff/Location

This was our 14th visit to this Resort and we will return next year. The staff is amazing and very caring I.e., Eduardo, Gustav, Fausto, Isidro, Pedro, Omar and of course Dahlia. Food in the Sunset is awesome. Room was immaculately kept clean by Elena. Congrats to Caesar, Manager, awesome job and u are very well respected by staff. Grounds and pool very clean.

TRS Yucatan: Truly wonderful in every way!!

As a woman of a certain age travelling alone I am always a bit worried before I arrive at a resort. No worries here. I spent a totally fabulous 8 days at TRS Yucatan resort. I was concerned about the hour and a half drive from Cancun airport. It went off with out a hitch. Didn't have to wait too long curbside for our little van. Only one stop before mine. easy check in process. Delivery to my villa by trolley was fun. Even the three floor walk up was not so bad. Loved seeing my driver put my [... read more] suitcase on his back to climb the stairs!! My room was a dream. Gorgeous, comfortable and stylish! Loved the motion sensored bathroom lights. Also loved the central turn off switch next to the bed for all the room lighting. Having an assigned concierge is a real treat. He was ready to help with anything I needed. The restaurants were terrific. My favorite by far was Helios.......perfect for breakfast lunch or dinner...so days I had all my meals there. Sitting outside by the beach was such a treat. The infinity pool was lovely and where all the action was. The daily yoga and water work outs were a must. My favorite hang out spot was the salt water tide pool. It was unique quiet and relaxing. Such a special place. I went there for part of every day. There is no big beach but this was perfect. There were evening activities galore if that's what you like. The beauty of a multi resort complex is the variety of options available are infinite both for food and entertainment. Make sure you make it visit with the flamingos. There are just a trolley ride away from TRS.

Riu Tequila: Great place

Everything was great. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Lots of food options, very tasty. Really liked the restaurants. Lots of fun activities for the entire family. Beach was beautiful and well maintained.

Allegro Cozumel: Terrible tesort

The buffet was horrible at every meal. There was nothing to pick from And a lot of the food was tasteless! No alcoholic beverages were served before noon! They said it was a Mexican law! Not even Mamosa with breakfast! Even though we paid for all-inclusive we had to go across the road to an outside restaurant to have meals and alcoholic beverages! Rooms were very dated you could see daylight around the door in our room even when it was closed. The shower door would not close and there was a  [... read more]crack on the bathroom floor! In the seven days we were there there was only one night of Nightlife. The rest of the time the outdoor theatre had movies for kids. Nothing for adults to enjoy. All this being said the resort was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating!

TRS Yucatan: ABOVE AND BEYOND YOUR WIDEST DREAMS!!!!

My Wife and I just returned from the TRS Yucatan Resort in Mexico and I cannot write enough about the level of above and beyond Customer Service this place had to offer. It was prestine, the food and drinks were custom made and absolutely delicious and we left this resort feeling the most relaxed we have ever been since we started taking vacations together over 20 years ago. Every staff member from the Personalized Butlers to the Food and Cleaning staff to the Welcoming Team always were willin [... read more]g to provide top notch service and did it always with a smile which unfortunately for some resorts does not happen but this resort knocked it out of the park!!!!! We had a private pool that was such a bonus as some days we would just call in room service which by the way was 24/7 and along with our fully stocked bar, these days were spent not even leaving the room. Absolutely FIRST CLASS!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Repeat repeat guest

We always have a great vacation at the Bahia Principe Grand Tulum. This was my third visit and I had a great time. Traveled with sister and relaxed the entire week. On several occasions we ordered in room service, a wonderful experience. Our food arrived hot after a short waiting time, the server took the time to set the table for our meal, the service was immaculate. Morning coffee service was delivered with pastries, yum. Looking forward to my next stay at this hotel.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful Resort!

We had a wonderful time at The Fives! The grounds were beautifully maintained with fantastic greenery and gardens at every turn. The pools were spotless and offered options for busier days by the beach bar or quieter options at the other pools. The adult pool was a nice option for those travelling without children. The resort did seem to have a very high number of couples travelling with babies and toddlers. The food was outstanding - especially the lunch restaurant at the adult pool. The buffet [... read more]s were fresh with lots of options. The breakfast buffet at La Brasserie and its upper patio was a nice way to start the morning. If you're lucky, some spider monkeys will swing by for a show. The only downside to the dining experience was the need for reservations for evening a la cartes at some restaurants, which were largely all booked or only had late evening options left between 8:30-9:30. If you want to sit outside, which is a lovely option when in Mexico, you're required to buy a bottle of wine. A disappointing requirement given that most of the tables otherwise sit empty. We paid extra to have dinner at Casa Rosa. Well worth every cent! Rosa is a lovely host and gives you a chance to learn about the Mexican culture by helping to cook dinner for the group. The cocktails were well prepared and the Gin and Tequila Bars were a nice way to explore a variety of spirits, many local to Mexico. The rooms are spacious and include lush views to the pools from the large balconies. All in all it was a wonderful experience and I'd be happy to return!

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Nice place!!

The resort grounds were very tropical and nice. Food was pretty decent. Beach was kind of a turn off because of all the rock. Entertainment was great but the only thing is there was not much going on afterwards. More of a night life would have been ideal!! Overall I’d give it a 7out 10

Grand Palladium Colonial: Amazing vacation!

This was our first trip to Mexico and our first Grand Palladium experience, and it was fantastic! The resort complex is very large but easy to navigate with the regular trolley service and the boardwalks. There are always seats available be it at the extensive beach or around one of the many pools(including two adults only with table service!). Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Simply amazing

What a fabulous resort so many options and great service the staff from the moment my wife and I arrived until our departure was above and beyond very kind and helpful the restaurants were delicious and what a great assortment at the buffet house. Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Pretty Good

Hotel room was nice, location very good, staff good and beach quite nice. Food was sub par for a 4 or 5 star hotel, especially at buffet and Italian restaurant. At the coffee shop the bakery food didn't taste very fresh at all. Better cookies at a Hampton Inn. Too many pool chair hogs as well. Staff should monitor that much better. All in all nice place but they could easily be better with better food choices and better beach chair monitoring.

NYX Hotel Cancun: Wonderful experience!

I can’t say enough about this small hideaway in the hotel zone in Cancun! The ocean front view room we upgraded to was well worth it! The beach was gorgeous! This was our 6th trip to the area and was our first visit to the NYX resort and would definitely go back! This was also our first experiencing a small resort and fell in love with the intimacy of it! With only 138 rooms we got to know guests and staff better than on the bigger resorts! This resort was recently bought and while we  [... read more]were checking out brand new Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress’ were being delivered to all the rooms and all new beach lounge chairs are coming! Can’t wait to go back to that! The hotel is within walking distance to amazing shopping, entertainment and restaurants and across the street from the Lagoon side. We had an incredible 2 week vacation and thank Julie Bond from Trip Central for helping us book a great holiday! Don’t hesitate to book your holiday at NYX, you won’t be disappointed. The food, drinks, and service was incredible and the staff are top notch!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Had a Wonderful Holiday, but not a 5* resort

Having travelled extensively in my time, I enjoyed this resort. The grounds and rooms were spotless, although the rooms are in desperate need of an update. My husband has a bad back and he found the tram ride over to the other resorts difficult because of all the speed bumps. As such, we spent most of our time on at the Sian Ka'an. Also to a lovely young woman, Kenia, in the front Lobby, who went out of her way to find band aids for me!! Not sure we would return because of the tram rides vrs. back issues but would definitely recommend this property to others.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Not for Everyone

The good We got a great deal on a Junior Suite with Jacuzzi . We arrived late due to delayed flight and were greeted with a small buffet set up for just us late arrivals. Nice touch. Check in was quick and painless. Woke up to a stunningly beautiful view of rocky coast and nice private beach.Awesome staff made you feel welcome and well cared for, Rooms were beautifully kept and cleaned.You self served only at the Buffet . At the pool and beach you are served at your lounge. Felt pampered all we [... read more]ek. Now the not so good. Main Buffet was repetative and a little less than you might expect at 4 star Mexico. It was a long trek from the beach to the pool area.Bar and food service was only available at the beach or pool. I am used to a lobby or other such bar available during the day. There was no nightly entertainment or disco and the last bar closes at 11:30 pm so I would definitely not recommend this for the young partying crowd.If you like to mingle with locals there are none on the beach as it is private.Not all guests are all inclusive so they check your status by room number everytime you eat or drink . On the last day after check out time we were told at lunch that our all inclusive had ended at noon despite our 520 pm departure time.A trip to the front desk solved this and they finally gave us lunch. The confusion seemed to continue all afternoon as we had to explain we were with Sunwing and were still all inclusive eligible.The hotel is a little isolated from the downtown area of Ixtapa so its a short cab ride in. All in all I would recommend this for anyone looking for a layed back ,relaxing and quiet vacation. If you are looking for action and party time better look at one of the resorts on the public beach downtown Ixtapa
