Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Hotel was fantastique! We really enjoy the food and the staff at the bar in front of Grazie restaurant were amazing. Steak house was the best restaurant on the resort. My daughter enjoy the activities and love the surfing. Wave pool was her favorite activities. The show were OK. Beach party and tribute to Queen was by far the best. Thank you,

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Wonderful experience

This was my first time at an all inclusive resort. Loved everything from the transport from airport to facilities to food and staff. The beach and weather speak for themselves - amazing. There was such a variety of things to do / experience. The Vibe team really engage you and ensure your experience is memorable- dance lessons, Spanish lessons, evening entertainment, post entertainment dancing. My room was beyond comfortable and clean. My butler was kind, intuitive and helpful. While I th [... read more]ought i was going to an adult only resort, I quickly realized it was a family resort but it was a great experience all the same. The families all seemed relaxed and thoroughly engaged with their children. I look forward to doing this again some day.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Terrible experience

Terrible service from butler. Rooms are outdated. Everyone is looking to get a tip off you and never satisfied with anything under 5-10$. It was my first time there and my last. I hated this trip so much that I regret spending all that money. Laundry costs almost 100$ for a couple of shirts and shorts. Really? Overall the trip was a waste of time and money.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Small Resort

This was a small resort. It was very nice that it had three different pools but all were shallow. The rooms were clean but dated and the beds were hard. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Each carrier seemed to different services, some people had to pay for internet and for some it was included. I would recommend to travel with Air transat if going to this resort

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Amazing resort - do the upgrade!

Resort was fantastic!!! We did the diamond club upgrade with swim out room and it truly made our stay. The butler we had, JOHAN, was incredible and went above and beyond every single night!! Entertainment team was also amazing! The restaurants were incredible. Highly recommend

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful beach and great food!

Just returned from the resort (week of Jan 5 2020). Flew with Air Canada Rouge with no issues. Resort is on a palm tree lined beach great for walking, snorkelling and swimming. Resort buffet was excellent. Food choices were extensive and varied nightly. We stayed in a standard room which was clean and and well maintained. Only heads up - room safe was odd. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Gorgeous resort but some improvements needed

Hotel layout/design: Above average. Absolutely stunning design features with an easy to navigate layout. Very spacious guest rooms. Service: Average to below average. Very long wait times at restaurants (one night was over three hours for dinner). Slow bar service. I know to expect “Caribbean time” but the service was very disappointing, especially for the five-star design accommodations. Food & Drink: WAY above average. Pools/Waterpark: infinity pool was a beautiful design but pool temp was on the cool side. Ziva’s (the sister family resort next door) has a much nicer pool layout and a fun waterpark Beach: we had very windy weather on our trip so I think the beach would be nice if the sand would stay put. All the soft top layer of sand ended up blowing into the resort leaving a very rocky beachfront and rough waters so we didn’t get to experience much of it! Night shows: didn’t go to all but most were mediocre. However, the Michael Jackson show was very impressive! The impersonator was spot on and the back up dancers were very talented. Gym: AMAZING!!! Better than the gym I work out at home! I think because of this, the resort attracts a lot of fitness buffs so it was busier than I would expect at a resort but plenty of equipment available so minimal wait times. Spa: unfortunately was not yet operational on our trip.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Not what we expected

Here are some of the things we noticed this time around. No more meals on 4 hour flight. Seats no longer recline, no movie, only one sunwing rep on plane. Not a sun wing plane. This was the same there and back. Elite plus passengers not boarded first. Same on the way home. Adults only flight option would be a great idea and I feel people would pay extra for this service. Had to take a shuttle to another terminal in Toronto, flight take off delay over an  [... read more]hour, flight return delayed for an hour, Over 10 children under the age of 5 on this flight both ways, had to wait over 3 hours for luggage to get to room, finally After asking repeatedly and being told it was on its way, I walked to the very front of the resort and got The bags myself, resort is a 4 star, everything is dated, hideaway beach too small, lack of entertainment in hideaway section, had to wait to be seated in empty restaurants, Butler only booked places to eat, 1/2 of the things it mentioned when we booked did not happen with butler, Butler in Jamaica royalton was a true Butler, beach and staff were great. No $100 voucher towards hotel stay night prior to leaving as there has been in the past. smell of burnt food filled the cabin on the way home, flight attendants speak Ukrainian or something in front of guests both there and back. The resort was not built to be a royalton. Much like the white sands in Jamaica. Where the blue water in Jamaica and the bravaro are. This means the layout is much better as far as hideaway and diamond club are concerned. I have never written a bad review in the past. With that said I felt the need this time around.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Ocean Blue & Sand Resort vacation 2020

Our family decide it to go to this hotel base upon recommendation, this vacation was amazing, there was good variety in foods and hotels, the meats were amazing and the service at each restaurant was unparalleled. In terms of food and restaurants I loved everything. The activities was great for everyone and the kids all had a blast, from bowling to rock climbing we tried it all and again I cant say anything bad about it. I'd like to talk about the shows, normally I dislike going to shows but the Micheal jackson show was on another level and I truly think everyone should try to see it. The other shows were great too but the most memorable is the micheal Jackson show. Lastly I'll mention the dislikes, the only real criticism is the cart that goes around the resort, I think you guys should have at least 2 trains going on at all times to move people around quicker. Maybe we were just unlucky and always happened to be at the opposite side of the resort but it's the only real complaint I have.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Excellent Resort

The Catalonia Royal Bavaro grounds are immaculate, plenty of food choices, friendly staff, poolside evening entertainment was great. The Barcelona Origens bartenders were outstanding. The resort is easy to navigate. The shows were good. We had fun, relaxed and would go back.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Fabulous, Fun and Fulfilling

We had a group of 10 people for some it was our second visit to the resort. We had a fabulous time! We love the fresh, crisp, clean look of the place. This resort has everything you need for a great holiday. Good food is key and the staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a little trouble with booking the alacarts but it worked out in the end, we had two birthdays during the week and the staff produced a cake for each and sang happy birthday to each of us, candle and all. One small issue, a co [... read more]uple of days they ran out of certain alcohols, but tried to get it stocked up asap, even offered to find me once they had it. The beds are amazing n the entire place is spotless, someone cleaning the bathrooms seems like 24 7. We really enjoyed the entertainment staff, Skinny, Dora and Picachu. They had us up and enjoying all of the activities at the pool and beach party. I would definitely return. Oh yes and with this you also have full access to the Bachata property as well, no complaints here...

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Punta Canada !

We stayed at the Grand Memories Splash with upgraded Black Diamond wrist bands which allowed access to the beautiful Royalton Resort next door. The resort was very clean and the grounds are beautiful with live peacocks roaming around. The splash park was great, the slides are awesome for older kids/teens. The beach is Gorgeous, and we rented cabanas by the pool which came with cold Coronas and a fruit plate. The restaurants were OK. But all the food is sourced locally which supports their econom [... read more]y so it's good you feel good eating. The entertainment was great ! They had a modanna tribute our 5 year thought was pure magic. The only downfall of the resort is the travel smart personnel will call relentless to persuade you into attending a pseudo "time share" presentation. Do not believe them when they say it's 30 minutes....it's 3 hours. But all together a beautiful resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great resort

The room was very clean, always up to standard for a 5 star resort, the resort was always maintained as the hard working people did a good job cleaning, everyone’s friendly, this is a place for someone to relax and enjoy a luxurious getaway!

Secrets Cap Cana: Fantastic Staff!

We stayed at Secrets Cap Cana for 7 nights this January and it was absolute perfection! From the moment we exited the shuttle from the airport we were treated like royalty. Check-in was quick and we were escorted by our Concierge Eduar to our room. Eduar took the time to explain the resort as we walked to our room and full explained all the features of the room when we arrived. The room and resort were spotless and house keeping always did a great job. The beach is just as pictured, wide, palm t [... read more]rees, soft sand, never felt crowded and Nelson always made sure we had a drink in hand. We enjoyed all the restaurants and they offered a diverse selection of cuisine. We did not attend any of the shows as we prefer to eat later, and we had too much fun at the lobby bar being entertained by Ramone, Marco and especially Carlos! Carlos went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. No matter how busy the bar got, he always took the time to suggest new drinks and make them with flair! I’d especially like to single out our Concierge Eduar. I can’t say enough good things about him. He texted us daily with info about the resort and to see if we needed anything. He personally assisted us changing rooms. He set up a surprise birthday message on our door and rose petals on the bed. He arranged for a surprise birthday cake and romantic dinner at the French restaurant for my wife (she was very surprised). Eduar also visited us on the beach multiple times during the week just to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He also brought us a charcuterie platter to our cabana on the beach, it was such a nice gesture. I’m not sure how many people a single concierge takes care of at one time, but Eduar certainly made us feel like we were his #1 priority. I think the difference at this resort truly is the staff. Everyone we met and talked to seemed to truly care about how we were doing and how they could make it better. We had some lovely conversations with La Diva and Mariposa and you can tell that they are passionate about making sure the guests here are truly enjoying themselves. If your looking for a laid back vacation at a spotless property on a pristine beach with staff that will make you feel like you’re their only customer, then this is the resort for you.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great resort with phenomenal staff.

This is one of the best resorts I have ever visited. The grounds are immaculate. Staff are super great. Food is good too. This was our third visit. Came home Mondsy and would go back today if I could. Cruise ships come in very close and they are great to watch

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Amazing Resort

Stayed from Dec. 30-January 6-20, went to celebrate New Years with the family, we were a group of 24 adults with 2 children under 12. The Hotel is clean is immaculately clean, from the lobby, bathrooms and grounds, the rooms have been updated they are spacious and clean. The mattress are comfortable as well. The check-in went smoothly so did the check-out. The food is okay at the buffet I think their breakfast buffet was the one I was not that keen on. The restaurant in the pool are is very good [... read more], the pizza spot is amazing and the café is fabulous. The staff is very friendly and always made us feel very comfortable. Juan de Jesus & Jairo from the entertainment team are just amazing they made our stay a very enjoyable one. A big shout out to the girls in the café coco truly friendly ladies. We did 2 excursions they were fun and well organized. The massage offered in the beach are well worth the money. I really can't say anything bad of this resort. This was our second time in Dominican but our first time at this resort. Would definitely consider going back.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: You get what you pay for

We had a nice stay at confresi palm. We aren’t usually very picky travellers but the one thing that I wasn’t super impressed with was that booking through trip central didn’t give you access to all the facilities - about 90% of the resort was only available to “VIP members” which costed an extra fee. On our first day there, we were approached by a resort employee who told us he would take us on a tour of the resort but actually took us to the sales centre, where were were stuck for abo [... read more]ut an hour trying to get talked into upgrading to a VIP for an annual fee. The resort really creates a segregation between just standard guests and vip guests - for example we weren’t allowed on some parts of the beach and weren’t allowed at some bars. Other than that, the beach was beautiful and the food was ok, loved the Italian a la carte! If you care about the rooms, I would definitely recommend a garden or beach view, as the standard was a bit out dated and run down.

Overall experience was great...resort, food and grounds Pool bar was fabulous 🤗 More evening entertainment would be nice Foam pool party is a must to see and do I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a nice quit getaway

Cayo Levantado Resort: Amazing!

What an amazing piece of paradise! The grounds are lush and kept in pristine condition, the gardeners and staff work hard and keep it very clean and beautiful. The food is divine whether you go to al a carte or buffet you will not leave disappointed and the choices are wonderful! The entertainment team are a fantastic bunch, lots of fun and we had lots of great interaction with them. There is a service there with carts that will come and pick you up and take you where you want to go and are very prompt with their service. The evening shows were varied and were satisfactory, the circus show was amazing! The pools were kept very clean and staff were there maintaining at all times. It was nice to see management walking around speaking with staff and guests. One week was definitely not enough time for us, next time we will book longer. Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Fantastic resort for any desired vacation.

It is as quiet and intimate as you want it to be. There are also activities throughout the day and evening to become fully engaged if you choose. The food was the best I have had at an all inclusive destination. Staff were all very friendly, polite, helpful and caring. I cannot say enough about the experience from pick up at the airport, check-in, room cleanliness, food, drinks and general hospitality.
