Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice Resort

Staff here are wonderful, hard working, friendly, helpful! Rooms were very nice, clean, stocked. Grounds were well taken care of - beautiful! Pools were nice. It was a large resort and the trolley system worked well, not too many times did we have to wait long to get to were we wanted to go. Food was good! Entertainment was good! Beach was not so good! We stayed in the Coba so had to take the trolley down to the beach, which was not a problem at all - however, we found the beach very nar [... read more]row, was angled so made it difficult for walking and there were days you couldn't even see the water through the seaweed. Mind you the staff there worked so hard every day to clear the seaweed, there was just so much of it at the time of our stay! We wish there were more activities to do on your own, such as a pool designated for volleyball - they had volleyball everyday but there were so many people playing that we did not join in for that. Basketball courts, maybe tennis courts would be great! and areas with tables that people can go to and play games or cards throughout the day would be great as well - we found the lobby not to accommodate this. Overall our vacation was very good, weather was wonderful - hot, sunny - just what we were looking for!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: absolutely amaziing

The resort was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The alacart restaurants were exceptional. The beach was very small but with all the hurrcanes that is expected..PRIORITY CHECK-IN WAS GREAT

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing family vacation

We really loved our time at the resort.Our kids loved the ice cream shop, theater shows and bowling. The buffet was good and the restaurants delivered without required reservations. Clean and great service!

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Loved the resort beyond words!!!! Amazing week

The Hotel was perfect from the start of our trip till the end. The attention to detail is amazing the service, the food, the rooms everything just perfect. Loved it 100%. Everyone is soo helpful and ready to make your stay amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Lovely resort!

My suite was beautiful....the only down fall was there were no screen on the sliding door to the balcony but other than that it was very nice. I loved the pools and the food was great too! I was disappointed with the beach....too rocky and too much seaweed but other than that it was really good.

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: It spoils you for all future resorts!

Rooms fantastic, meals outstanding, adventures beyond expectations, staff exceptional. Our whole experience was second to none. Thanks to all involved in making our holiday one that we would highly recommend.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Sweeeeet!!!

This place is truly a hidden gem. I have to admit we were upgraded to the Adult only Sian side of the resort and it was SOOOOO beautiful. We were on the first floor and had a walk out to the pool area for the adults only and it was a private oasis. I am happy that we were up graded as I don't know if would want to be on the other side. Many children and I would not like the idea of having to wait in line for the buffet. If you go PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the Oyster restaurant and say hell [... read more]o to Victor. He is an incredible gent and make sure to order the surf and turf. The steak was incredible!!! We ended up going there 4 nights out of our 7. Overall this place is sooooooo beautiful. The rooms were clean, and the bed very comfortable. You are doing something right here Grand Oasis Tulum! We were 3 woman that went to relax and we did just that!!! Traveled April 2nd to April 9th.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Beautiful and huge resort

We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from April 5 to 12. The weather was amazing every day with temperatures around 29 degrees and nice breezes. We travelled with my parents who are in their early 70's and emailed ahead of time for a room request and they accommodated us nicely with everything we asked for. The Good: -The resort and grounds are amazingly beautiful and very clean. -The staff were so incredibly sweet, we just loved them!! -the pool was huge and had very easy access in an [... read more]d out. Some areas have steps to get in and some have a gradual slopes to get in. -The swim up bar was gorgeous and the service was pretty fast! The drink waitress was always coming around so if you were laying out on the lounger you never had to wait long for a drink :) -The beach was gorgeous, warm and had a lovely sandy bottom...no rocks! -The rooms were very nice and clean and the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever had at any resort I have gone to. Mini fridge was always stocked. -With the resort being so big, it was so nice being able to call the service desk for a cart to come pick you up. Wait time was less than 5 minutes, it was awesome! -The lazy river was so fun, we just kept floating around and around meeting new people each lap...it was one of our favorite things to do! -We all felt very safe at this resort! The Bad: -The food was ok at best. We went to 3 ala cartes , the El Museo French gourmet (pretty good, crappy desserts), the Mexican restaurant (yuck, I got sick for 2 days after with stomach cramps and diarreah) and the El Fogon steakhouse (ok but they pushed a specific cut of beef on us and when we got it it was mostly fat..felt like they were trying to get rid of their low grade beef or something). The buffets were repetitive and the food got boring. Always something to eat but always the same. -Check in was a nightmare. We arrived around 12:30pm and our room wasn't ready. We waited around hoping maybe one would become available but they wouldn't even check for us and just kept saying 3:00pm, al the while other guests were walking away with their room keys. We even went up 2:45pm to see if it was ready and they said 3:00, wouldn't even call and see if it was ready or not. At 3:02 we went up and they picked up the phone and checked and they were ready. The shift changed at 3:00 and they didn't want to deal with us so they pushed us off to the next shift. We were exhausted and my parents are elderly....this ruined our first day. -There was no place to get food after 12:30...we were turned away at the main buffet and the pool buffet. We ended up way down at the beach and found a hut with French fries and burgers (under cooked). All the walking bothered my mothers bad leg and wiped us all out. Our first day was a write off. So disappointed. -The beach had so much seaweed that you couldn't swim a few days. It was like a huge sheet of seaweed covered the water, it was gross. I know its not the resorts fault but none the less it still sucked! -The first 2 days it was impossible to get loungers around the pool and the beach area. They started policing the area and removing towels off loungers if they were empty for an hour to free them up. At first I didn't like the idea but by the 3rd day there were loungers galore and it was lovely :) -our safe was broken on the second day but they were there within 15 minutes to fix it. Some people thought it was a scam to steal your money but I don't think so. The person fixing the safe wouldn't enter the room unless we were there and my husband noticed that the cleaning staff were watched by a supervisor or someone when they cleaned every room. We had no issue with theft or anything like that. Overall a nice resort, I would give it a 3.5/5 mainly because of the food, it was disappointing.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Beautiful place to be

The grounds are lovely, the food is very good, and the amenities and activities are all well done. There is an "up sell" component, with staff wanting you to go to the spa or take a tour (become a member). This is a large resort and things are quite spread out. You will be walking. The older part of the resort is quite dated in decor and upkeep. The elevator in our building didn't work so we used the one in the building next to us.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Nice Resort

Overall a good experience. Staff are excellent. Dinner restaurants are very good. Buffet breakfast has many options but would be considered average. Ocean has a little disappointment with a few rocks and heavy seaweed daily. That said they are active every day keeping it clean. Based on the beach I would have to score it a 4.5 out of 5.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Just perfect!

Perfect resort for families and also for adults at the adjacent resort Sian Kaan. Small resort with only a few steps from the restaurants, pools and the beach. The staff, entertainers and the service provided was outstanding and so was the variety of food available. The beach and the location is also perfect because of the proximity to a host of different attractions. We will be back and highly recommend this resort to everyone. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

The staff were fabulous. They made the biggest difference. The waitors knew how to put a smile on ur face. Super clean place. A five star grounds and rooms were better than most. The entertainment was a awesome. Lots of different things going on and excursions for you to book.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: 5* Luxury

We went to Riviera Maya April 15 - 22, 2018. We stayed at the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa. Carol from Trip Central suggested this resort as we were undecided where to go. She said clients had just returned from there and they loved it. We were 2 couples traveling together. It was the higher end of our budget but we LOVED every little thing. It is only 5 years old. All staff were so friendly and ready to please. Customer service took only 5-10 minutes! Plenty of staff! Plenty of beach l [... read more]oungers! Didn't have to worry about beach towels and they always had lots! Bed was comfy and lots of pillows! Although the beach had seaweed it was still amazing...we spent most of our days at the beach and in the water. The food was delicious! We would definitely return. Grand Oasis Riviera: Amazing Resort

The resort is amazing. We stayed at the Sian Kaan for the entire trip. The place is just a paradise, so calm, quite and beautiful. Food presentation is awesome, servers are very friendly but it would be better if they put more staff during the meal time so that it could be more efficient. The only shortfall is the beach area has too much sea weed and rocks, and if the staff can communicate in English. Otherwise, we have no complaints at all.

Royal Hideaway Playacar: Incredible Resort

The Royal Hideaway is the perfect adult all inclusive resort for relaxing and recharging. The grounds are impeccable, the staff goes out of their way to ensure you are looked after and the food is excellent. This resort has a very large, white sand beach that is never crowded and beautiful green water. Rooms are located in villas and each villa has a concierge to attend to your inquiries, make dinner reservations and help you with whatever you need. It is indeed heaven!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort

Beautiful spot .The grounds were perfectly groomed. The look after everything. You real didn't need upgrade because all bars had good name brands .That Bahia still is the only one with mini bar fridges that has chips and chocolate bars in it .

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: This resort was ....okay.

The restaurants and buffet were quite nice, and the swim up bar is perfect for these hot days. It was my own neglect for not reading more about the resort before going, but the things that were a bit of a bummer were: 1) No room service, you cant even pay for it. 2) There are no waiters/waitresses at the pool or on the beach, so you do need to go to the bar to get beverages yourself. Not the worst problem to have, I know it sounds a bit spoiled, but every resort I have ever stayed at has h [... read more]ad this as an option so I was a bit disappointed. 3) The resort is massive, so be prepared to have a hotel room 5-10 minutes walk from the lobby/lobby bar/buffet/spa. They do however have shuttles running, so you can catch a ride quite frequently. 4) There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby only. I personally don't need to have internet at my fingertips constantly, but my travel partner has kids at home and wanted to be reachable. They have paid options for Wi-Fi, but they were listed as quite expensive. A tip for anyone going there - when you select the free Wi-Fi (while you are in the lobby), they give you an option for $10 for a full week. But if you don't originally select free Wi-Fi and you go directly to the Wi-Fi package options, there is no $10 option for your full stay, only the $10 per day option or more expensive for a full week. A bit sneaky if you ask me. The staff were lovely, and the room was good enough and clean. I would suggest staying at the Akumal resort if you want more of the luxuries, and their beach is better (WAY less seaweed). If you are a spa user - the one at Coba had a better circuit than the Tulum. I wouldn't stay here again personally, but we still had an amazing time, especially with the daily entertainment at the party pool. I am usually a backpacker that stays in hostels, so I am not typically a super fussy traveler. But when I go to a resort, I prefer all of the luxuries of being a lazy beach bum :)

Kore Tulum Retreat Wellness Resort: Exceeded my expectations!

I read a lot of reviews online and the resort is pretty quiet- especially at night, it feels like theres no one there! It was exactly what I wanted. Food options were better then i expected, but I eat a vegan diet- I had heard from some people that the meat wasnt so great there. The bikes absolutely need work, some of the tires were flat, and they were rusty! haha

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: 14th Time at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba, Mexico

This is a very beautiful resort. My wife and I returned for our 14th time in early April of this year. The staff are very pleasant, the food is outstanding, the beach is beautiful, there is dancing or a floor show most evenings and the weather is really great. When the fall/ winter arrives every year here in Nova Scotia, we immediately begin to make plans to visit our "Home away from Home" in sunny Mexico at the Coba!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: First Class Incredible Resort

This amazing resort has very well kept beautiful grounds that are worked on every day to maintain a fresh & beautiful look. The rooms are well appointed that have been newly painted since last year. Fresh bottled water was always supplied in our room & a well stocked bar .. The bathroom was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries.
