Melia Las Dunas: Best in Cuba yet!
This was my first time at the Melia Las Dunas and I will Definatley be returning. The service was great, food was delicious and the room was gorgeous and always perfectly clean. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the options for bars and pools, not to mention the restaurants. The buffet was always good and fresh, especially the meat corner (cook there was fantastic, professional and polite). The bartenders at the pool bar were always smiling and friendly. On the last day one of the landscapers cut me o [... read more]
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Outstanding Resort
Facilities were very well maintained, rooms were very nice. Pool area was large, with plenty of chairs. Beach was fantastic. Only negative feedback was the limited reservations in the a la carte restaurants. Buffet was great though.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing resort and simply wonderful staff!!
This resort is very new and is still going through some discomfort associated with the birthing process. However they have outstanding operational staff in all departments. They take pride in what they do and how they do it. Their entertainment is outstanding! Their entertainment staff are truly talented, fun and freindly.5***** Their Customer service is superb! 5***** Facilities amazing, please note their Ocean view rooms are still under construction! 4****. A la carte restaurants very varied. P [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Nice resort
Resort provides excellent food and has a nice clean accommodation. Resort is for adults only and is very quiet. No children are allowed. Beach is nearby and is very nice. Evening entertainment only so-so.
Melia Las Dunas: perfect vacation!!!
My husband and I and our two boys stayed at this resort from January 9-16 2015 and we enjoyed our trip . The best part was the beach loved the entertainers always kept us busy!!! The ham and cheese sandwiches at the beach were amazing!!!! The grounds were beautiful!!!! We stayed in bungalow 17 which was close to the family pool but a little walk to the beach. The food was actually better than we thought.... Rooms were always cleaned... Bar fridge stocked but a couple days we had to call because [... read more]
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: From great to not so great...
Upon arriving at the resort we were greeted and checked in, the hotel was nicely designed and the food at the buffet was amazing and the staff were friendly, this continued for a couple of days. The rest of the days service was slow at the buffet and the food was horrible and not a variety as the previous days. I enjoyed the trip but i wouldn't return.
Melia Las Dunas: Great Resort! Great People! Great Trip!
I stayed at Melia Las Dunas with my husband in a standard room 7615. Our room was clean. We did have to ask for face cloths and water on the third day. The resort is big, there is a family section and an adult section. We were in the adult section. The hotel grounds are nice, well maintained and clean. The food was good. We ate at the restaurant by the adult pool, service was good, the pizza, burgers and poutine were good. At the 24hour snack bar, the service was hit and miss, the burgers were g [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: All in All a Good Week
Since it is a solid 1 1/2 hours from Santa Clara Airport there is little option to experience the culture and history of Cuba unless you really pay attention while on the ride to the Resort and the return to the Airport. The grounds around the Resort are well cared for even though the Bungalos are spread out over a large area and considering the Resort is older. The landscaping with flowered shrubs and mature trees around the Lobby and Pools area (mainly the central part) is beautiful and relaxi [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: Fantastic Beach
I stayed at the Pelicano from Jan 11-18, 2015. The room was very simple but clean. The beaches are incredible and are really the only reason anyone comes to Cayo Largo, since there isn't really anything else to do. The staff is friendly and service is excellent, just don't expect 5-star amenities. Food was ok, but be prepared to eat pretty much the same thing every day, and very limited fresh fruit and vegetables. But if you're ok with simple grilled meat and fish and amazing fresh baked bread w [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Back again

Room upgraded because frequent visitor. Hotel: Grounds beautifully maintained. Some jungle. Beach is very long and wide. Pool has plenty of lounges and some shade. Lots of washrooms, serviced continually. Security: Digital room safe provided. Security evident at perimeter and on walkways. Card-lock room [... read more]
Sol Cayo Coco: Great resort overall, food could be updated
The rooms were clean and the water was hot. The beaches (both of them) were beautiful and well maintained, there was plenty of room for everyone. The food at the buffet was lacking, the stations were great but the line ups were long.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Very good location
Our 3rd time because it is very good location, very friendly hotel staff (not eager to be tiped for whatever reason), no jinerismo. For quiet holidays this hotel is perfect. But this hotel is really overpriced (hotel is pretty old_not renovated and really a 3*** hotel)
Sol Cayo Coco: Great Winter getaway at a very reasonable cost...
We enjoyed our first visit to the Sol Cayo Coco, January 9-16 and would definately return. It's a nice, well kept older small resort, clean, close to the airport, good layout, easy to get around, great people, good beaches, good food, variety and quality. We had a very nice room on the second floor overlooking the mini putt yard. Grounds are well kept, the pool is nice and well divided for children, activities and lounging. The staff is excellent in trying to keep up with meeting expectations. I [... read more]

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beyond Friendliness
What a beautiful place to come and relax. The food was more then I expected for a Cuban resort. The variety of meats and desserts were amazing. The pizza that they made was my favourite for lunch. Their latte's were my favourite. The staff was so pleasant and aimed to please you at all times. Our first night I found hard due to the smell of mould which caused my asthma to flare up. In the morning I expressed my concern and they said no problem we will have a room for you at 2 pm today. At 2 pm m [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Dream destination
The room that we had was spacious, bright, imclean and cozy. The oversized decor pillows were fantastic to lean on when watching TV or reading a book. Two great pools, non-stop activities, which we benefited from. Two great size pools and just an overall great atmosphere. Live shows every night and the nicest hotel staff you will ever meet. Yasvany in the buffet, Julia to look after our room, George in bell service everyone outdooing themselves to make our stay as comfortable as you can imagine. [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: loved this resort.
First if all 10 stars goes to the service....food was fabulous. Can't go wrong with a resort being on a cliff and still steps away from the ocean. Would go again and again. Amazingly beautiful........
Melia Las Americas: Amazing Resort and Staff
I thought the hotel in general was amazing. The lobby was beautiful all the way up to are room. We had great views from were ever you stay. The staff were awesome and warming. Beaches are to die for. Golf unreal. I would go back tomorrow if I could!! See you next year!!!!
Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing
Overall good experience !!! We stayed in a one bedroom apartment because of my 19 months old daughter was with us and I have needed a kitchen. So, apartment was nice as shown in pictures. Beach was beautiful. It was amazing to travel in a double decor open bus.
Melia Las Americas: Simply amazing
I can't find a single single thing to nitpick about. It's simply a great place. Staff is super nice and helpful. Loved the japanese restaurant experience. HIghly recommended. It would be nice if wifi had more range but that's just icing.
