Breezes Bahamas: Disgusting Hotel

Breezes hotel is disgusting! The rooms are dusty, full of mole and have a fouly smell! The hotel is very old and need a full upgrade. My family got sick the one night we stayed there! Our rooms were so disgusting we had to sit in the lobby all night until morning do we could move to another hotel! The lights in the wash rooms didn't work and the wash rooms are dirty and disgusting! I am still devastated from the experience! Can't believe the government allow them to be operating! Breezes Bahamas: Great beach!

Great value. Fantastic beach. Gracious staff. Great service. A very relaxing place - didn't engage with any off-site activities. I would recommend this destination for anyone that is looking for some rest and relaxation . One I the best beaches I've ever visited.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: AMAZING!!!!

This resort was great. It was clean, the food was excellent and service great. The only complaint was the long line for checkins when arriving. If you want anything extra a small tip and a note and they will leave more than enough

Breezes Bahamas: Excellent Location

Clean grounds well maintained property. Close to all attractions. Safe environment. Cons - lack of balcony-so tiny literally cannot stand on it just a grill in front of sliding doors, cardio equipment in gym not functional, and could use more nightlife activities since not much going on locally. Also very poor check-in experience we had a delayed flight and waited in the lobby for 2 hours to be checked in without so much as a drink offered to us while we waited. Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan: Honestly more than a bit disapponting

I genuinely hope that this review gets the attention that it deserves because I would like to spare others looking to spend their hard-earned money on a vacation the experience that we had at this resort. If you're not up to reading a wordy review I apologize and have included a summary in the final paragraph...scroll down at your leisure. I want to acknowledge from the start that I am aware that the island was dealt a significant blow at the hand of Mother Nature which is unfortunate to say [... read more] the least. In the months that have passed since the hurricane it appears as though very little if anything at all has been done to repair the damage done at the resort and to Grand Bahama Island in general. This may in fact be due to a lack of necessary resources which for the island in general is understandable, I suppose; however I find it slightly a bit less forgivable in the case of a resort presumably better funded than local bodies. Ours was a group of 24 guests on holiday to celebrate the wedding of a family member. It was planned well in advance of the hurricane. We were made aware by our agent of the storm and that there was associated damage however in my estimation that extent of it was understated. We arrived expecting that there may be a couple of the a a carte restaurants not operating. In fact there was only one a la carte open and very limited food options otherwise. The selections at the buffet restaurant were not great and on many days we were served the same food at both lunch and dinner periods. The main hotel building, while clearly not open obviously sustained severe damage. Windows and doors missing or hanging off, patio furniture still where the winds took and left, pools completely empty but for the sand deposited in them by the storm. The bulk of the property truly looks like this storm could have just hit only days ago. Having spoken to the general repair of about two thirds of the resort there is little wonder why Lighthouse Point was as busy as it was particularly on days when cruise ship visitors descended on the resort. It certainly didn't feel like the 'exclusive' experience that any of us had expected based on the price tag. Waits for food and beverage were excessive, one day there was no bottled water and most days it was a challenge to procure a towel. The most disappointing aspect of the stay by far was the service (or lack thereof) provided us. Apart from a couple of superstars in Lilly and Pauline who were more than attentive and kind to us at the beach, the general sense of apathy from the balance of the staff was palpable. We were rarely greeted at any of the various venues with a smile and some interactions with frontline staff were unpleasant at best. My experience at checkout was lengthy and confrontational. It was really disappointing that my final memory of the stay was transactional and really unpleasant. I really am searching for something positive to share about our holiday. I will say that the wedding on the beach was fabulous and went off without incident in spite of some planning gaps in advance. Our dinner was fine albeit missing two of the contracted courses and an MIA cake. Something that should also be noted to those who choose all-inclusive destinations expecting to have the run-of-the-house; 'all-inclusive' does not mean that here. I cannot count on both hands and feet how many times through the course of our stay how many times we were told that we could not have one thing or another because we were on the all-inclusive package. Just strange. The remarks above only just begin to address the issues; there were just so many things that were not right and poorly handled. I feel it is appropriate also to say that I have spent less money on other all-inclusives and been treated to far better hospitality. There are a lot of things which I can absolutely forgive here in light of what the people and the place have been through. As a hospitality professional, what I cannot forgive is awful service and this is what has stuck with me. I feel absolutely awful for my brother and his new wife who chose this destination for themselves and loved ones for their special day. In my opinion they really should be compensated in some for the treatment they received. In summary I think it is important for the reasons above (and countless others) that travellers be cautioned about this resort. Terrible service, resort in extreme disrepair and poor food should be enough reasons for agents to refrain from recommending this property. Thank you for your attention. Kelly

Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan: Great place for a vacation !

This was a great resort .. absolutely stunning views and the service was outstanding. From the people working on the resort to the locals on the beach it made it comfortable to relax and enjoy the night life. The beach is literally a 1min walk from the room to the beach, hottub and pool. The market place has a great selection of local foods and for the adults a great selection of bars and clubs. Walking anytime of the night was safe as there was security all over the resort and outside in the ma [... read more]rket. Very friendly people and helpful. I would recommend this place for anyone that wants a quiet time or some fun at the bars and clubs .. it's so spacious you can't be annoyed by other party goers ... will definitely be back.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Truly an amazing resort.

We loved the resort so much that we went last year and again this year. The Melia has a huge property and the beach is beautiful. We stayed at The Level both times we went and we enjoyed ourselves. The staff that we got to know went out of their way to make our experience a memorable one.

Breezes Bahamas: Solid stay in a beautiful place!

My sister and I had a great experience at Breezes - the rooms were clean, the service was decent, and the beach and pool are phenomenal! The food and drinks were good and easily accessible - what more can you ask for?!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Incredible

Amazing place, good food, friendly staff and people The beaches and places we visited is great, I was very excited to shop for friends and family, brought back a lot of souvenirs, will definitely go back for a visit Enjoyed my stay

Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan: Do not trust pics!

My husband and I were there from April 8th to 15th. We had been told by the travel agent that the resort had been hit by a hurricane last fall, But we were not told the extent of the damage. The resort was only 1/3 functioning. If we had known the full extent up front we would have changed resorts. The trip started well, the bus driver was fun, the front desk staff checking us in, very friendly. Then downhill from there. The staff in Portabella's, Wave, the Cafe, the lobby bar were for the most part RUDE, unhelpful. It was as though we were an inconvenience to them. As the days went by, it did not get better. My husband & I were with a party of 28 people. Everyone experienced the same apathy. The food was average in the buffet restaurant. The restaurant we had to PAY $25 dollars each was better than average, the staff friendly. Checking out another disaster, 1 person at desk. The bus was held up because of this. I have to say there were a few exceptions, Pauline & Lily(Lillian) served us on the beach, they were fun, friendly, made sure we weren't getting dehydrated. They deserve a raise. The cleaning staff, the fellow who played shuffle board with us, and the bus driver to and from hotel were friendly. Riu Palace Paradise Island: it is one of best Resort that we staied .

every thing well organised except Beech .it was dirty un clean without serving guest with cold drink they have to go beside pool and get some drink when they coming back it gets warm. rest of situation were normal.

Breezes Bahamas: Resort was great.

The staff was very nice, the food was fantastic. I highly recommend the private dinner on the beach it was a definite a highlight. Our Butler Dawson made it very memorable. Beach was gorgeous. Don't let the Spring Nreak kids scare you they were fine the hotel kept them on the other side of the resort

The Royal at Atlantis: Fun Resort

Atlantis is a massive resort with lots to see and do. We stayed at the Beach Towers which was slightly dated but clean and suited us just fine. The All-inclusive package has limits to where you can eat as well as what you can eat. We found this a tad bit challenging as you really needed to get to know the 'approved' locations as the staff were not very helpful when we explained we were with the Sunwing All-inclusive package. We ended up getting charged for some items that we had not realized [... read more] were 'off-menu' and not included. As long as you are careful, you will be fine. The waterpark was amazing and almost always busy - lots of fun though, especially the rapid river! Food was good too and we never went hungry. Incredible aquariums and marine life to view all over the resort. Checked out Aura one night - ladies in free and $25 for men. Fun music and dancing. Had a great time!

The Royal at Atlantis: Value for money...amazing place

The hotel/resort stay was amazing. Staff of hotel was very help. Amenities were too much to cover 😊👍 Food was of great taste and huge selection. Comfort of room was good, we got daily maid service. My family enjoyed the stay.

Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan: Trip of a Lifetime

The resort met most of my expectations. The staff especially Lily and Natalie went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our party had everything they asked for . At no time did I feel uncomfortable or worried about my safety. Everyone for the most part was very welcoming.. Not everyone can have a great day everyday. Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan: Worst resort I have ever been too

I don't even know where to start with how terrible this resort was. From the moment we checked in the staff was incredibly rude. The resort was only 15% open and the rest was destroyed by the hurricane. I understand that is an act of nature but nothing and I mean nothing was done by the hotel or Sunwing to compensate. There was 3 days my room was not cleaned and I had no water. No in room beverages were provided. We were there for a wedding. The wedding day we wanted some sparkling wine for our  [... read more]room well the bride and bridesmaids got ready. They told us it would be a 50$ charge. The wedding menu was supposed to be all plated and day of the wedding they refused ( Even though it was paid for ) the bride was very upset. We paid $2000 per person for an all inclusive experience and it was far from that. The bar was supposed to be open from 11 am till 12 pm and they often closed at 11 pm because they felt like it. I hope that this hotel is never recommended to anyone.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Sandals Royal Bahamian -3rd time a charm!

Another great vacation at Sandals Royal Bahamian. Staff still amazing and private island breath taking as usual. Food gone somewhat down hill and no more daily 'afternoon tea' served. As of January restaurants don't take reservations so difficult to get tables unless go early at 6pm -preferred old way of making reservations. Still great place - although due to changes might try some where else next time

I re- read this after posting and it's making it seem like my gripe was with the resort. The resort had nothing to work with. The beach staff and room staff are amazing. The desk or management are worse than terrible. Food was good but no variety. Omelettes amazing. Below is the trip central portion I, unfortunately, haven't had a worse experience in my travel time. We had [... read more] a couple getting married and they actually cancelled their honeymoon portion and didn't give a s-word that they were even there, let alone the 22 others that paid the money. Now it isn't the resorts fault, the hurricane happened after, but we deserve to be kept up to speed on repair and compensated for the amenities missing. Which were more than half listed. This was an eye opener for myself with singing, that will never happen again, and with a booking company in general. Nothing about this was easy. My apologies.

The Royal at Atlantis: Awesome resort

The hotel is clean and has excellent daily cleaning staff. The grounds, pools and beach area are beautiful and kept clean. The customer service is amazing. So much to do for families and couples. Definitely a good resort choice for both
