Dreams Huatulco: Amazing stay!

This stay was our second consecutive year visiting Huatulco. Trying out Dreams resort was a good choice. Beautiful grounds, no wristbands, no towel cards, unlimited à la cart restaurant visits without reservations. Dreams is an older resort that the rooms have been updated. They enforce a 30 minute rule of leaving your lounger unattended (retrieve your stuff at guest services) Go see Rayna at the lobby bar, she is a great server. The weather is always Hot, Hot, Hot. Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: This is my absolute favourite resort in Mexico

I've been to multiple resorts in Mexico and I like this one the best. It's located in a small gated community that contains private residences and a few other hotels all on the water and marina. Other Amenities in Puerto Aventuras are a Golf course and Multiple Marina locations for fishing and Dolphin swimming. All of which can be accessed by Golf cart or foot. Very safe and very friendly. Beach is nice and water calm and great for kids or Adults alike. It's very clean and the restaurants are all very unique. Now it is my favourite resort to take my kids. Its small and safe, your kids don't need to be kept on a short leash. They can roam around freely and if you have very small children the Explorers club gives mom and time to relax if you like, at no charge. It's full of fun activities for the kids and they enjoyed it when they were younger for sure. If you after a huge resort with a million people it's not for you . But if your after a great time in a smaller but well kept resort this is for you. However the standards are very high and the people are the best. It has an adult side and a family side if you want the best of both worlds. Dreams has a very high standard. I've been here with my kids 8 times and will return again. It's like our home away from home. It's a short ride to Playa del Carmen and a short ride to Tulum. It's right in the middle. It also has Dolphins right at the resort. And Manitess a short distance from the resort. Theres also a really cool Barber shop right around the corner. Highly recommend this resort for all ages. Big night life just a short ride away to Playa aswell.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: excellent resort

the hotel was very beautiful and well kept. the food in the restaurants, including the buffet was top notch. the buffet closed after a couple of days, due to what we heard was a water leaking problem ( don't really know for sure) but the other restaurants picked up the slack very well. drinks were good, rooms and room service were very good. we went on the ' room of the day deal'... which really meant two double beds. they wanted to charge us extra for a king size bed, which was kind of odd [... read more]... so i would confirm- not just request a king size bed if we you go. Like all the resorts on this part of Mexico, they have a seaweed problem, but they seemed to handle cleaning the beach every day well. Other than that the beach was very good, service on the beach was very good and although you needed to get up early to reserve a beach or pool chair, there always seemed to be enough. The French restaurant was by far our favourite- went 3 times. the lobster, scallops and escargot appetizers we amazing, as was their steak. Wine was so-so, but drinkable. The concierge and front desk people were very helpful. We needed some medicine from the local pharmacy and they got if for us right sway. The cleaning and turndown room staff were always on time and did a great job. The one suggestion I would make is that there should be an adults only pool. Otherwise the place is great and we wished we had stayed longer.

Probably the best family all inclusive I've ever been to: Pros: Food - buffet was very good - only ate there for lunch. Like all buffets you need to pick and choose. Not everything you will like. Walk to the back left and pick your meat and they'll cook it right in front of you (beef, chicken, shrimp, squid, salmon, tuna, scallops…) Wine – unlike a lot of all-incisive they serve only bottled wine. Botht the red and white are decent. Coffee! Best coffee. Dolce also had great cappuccino [... read more]s. Pools – basically 2 pool area. A quite one and a party pool. Both very nice. Water Park – little park for little kids. Big slides for big kids. No towel cards – just grab from the bin as needed – also every chair in the morning has one rolled up and waiting No bracelets – so no scratching yourself by accident in the shower… Wifi – good enough to watch Netflix (it rained one day) and make video calls Room – BIG and clean Beach – sand was very nice and soft. Never got really hot Family washrooms – they were smart on this. I think ALL the washrooms in the public area had a men’s, women’s and family washroom. Though not advertised well they had a great hospitality room should you have a late departure. Lockers, showers and change areas. Staff- all amazing. They seem to get along and like their jobs. Staff at kids club were wonderful with our daughter. Entertainment team (Memo!) were great. Dolphins – you an watch them swim from the shore. You can swim with them too but no ‘show’. Cons Beach, like a lot of Mexico wasn’t the best for swimming. Nice for long walks (it’s huge and goes on forever) buy a bit murky and rough. I’ve also been to Riu’s in Cancun, Cabo, and Canary, Bahia’s, Barcelo’s and many others. Dream was the best (also the newest)

Dreams Huatulco: Very nice resort

Awesome resort with fantastic service! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms could use an update with more cupboard space and better pillows. The beach was beautiful and great for swimming. Loved all the amazing pools. Could use a few more treadmills in the gym. The best restaurants were the Italian and Asian. Overall very recommendable!

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Nice resort but disappointed about food quality

Fast check in and check out Welcoming staff Comfortable room, comfortable beds Nice shower, nice bath Beautiful beach but not enough palapas A LOT of people selling you all kinds of things on the beach. Actually by the end of the week, I felt the whole Walmart came by me: hats,sunglasses,bottle openers, beach dresses, bowls, towels, carpets, stuffed animals, necklaces, rings, bags, popcorns, mangos...they come often but respect you and do not bug you if you do not show any interest in  [... read more]their products. If so, you can easily reduce the price asked by half ! Nice pools but either too warm (good for children) or too cold (the pool is always empty !) Very disappointed about food diversity and quality at the World buffet Other restaurants had acceptable choices in their menus, quality wise very ordinary, service mediocre We were at Dreams during the last Super Bowl. They made extra care to organized a wonderful evening outside by the beach. They will try to offer you a 50 minutes free massage if you just attend a 20 minutes presentation on their Dreams membership...then tell you at the last moment that it is actually 90 minutes to get the free massage. The elevators were often down during our stay...and not quite sure they were safe to use ! Adult only jacuzzi...always full of childrens and probably full of pee ! They do not let you borrow 2 boogie boards at the same time. They say 1 per room only...not cool. Plus the boogie board are pretty wrecked. Make sure to check them before using them in order for the resort not to charge you something if they accuse you to have broked their board when you take them back after maximum an hour. PRIVILEGES GUEST Extra 200$ per guest for 1 week vacation 6-7 and 8 th floor Concierge at your service, friendly, helpfull Excellent coffee Self serve Bar during the day Appetizer, fruits, desserts during the day, hot breakfast...surprisely excellent. Awesome some ocean view Extra large room Choice of pillows...I found it by reading a pamphlet...not mentionned at my arrival at the Resort Access to 1 hour hydrotherapy spa ...you need to ask for it...because they do not explain it at your arrival that you have access to this service...I found it on a Dreams booklet I found doing and extensive search on the web (not their website)...and not at the resort ! My travel agent did not even know ! Jacuzzi on the balcony...do not let this seduce you...jacuzzi has probably been used only twice a year...dirty, badly positioned so when you are seating...you are actually looking inside your room and not at the beach. Included in all the rooms and not exclusive to Privileged Section

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

Everything about this place was top notch... great sandy beach... nice pools...very friendly and helpful staff.... nice rooms... great food.... marvelous nightly entertainment... an all around great time.....

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Great vacation at Dreams Riviera Cancun

This resort is one of the better ones that we have stayed at over the years and we have been to many. Food great, service and staff very supportive and friendly. The room (deal of the day room) was comfortable. Only downside was that the buffet restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay, which we sometimes prefer rather than the more formal a-la carte restaurants. Also at times the pool and beach area was rather crowded, but then that is to be expected when travelling during peak sea [... read more]son. We would return to a Dreams resort again.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Panama

We really enjoyed our stay at Dreams Playa Bonita Resort. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are comfortable with ocean views. The resort is well laid out and never felt crowded, we were always able to get seats by the pool. LOVED the option of A La Carte dinners and the food was top notch!

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Wonderful Family Vacation

We traveled as a family of four for one week to Dreams. We absolutely loved it. The room was always clean as was the whole resort. Food choices were abundant and room service was a very nice added bonus. The kids loved the pools and Explorers Club. We will definitely be back to Dreams.

Dreams Huatulco: Good ocean swimming

Service very good ,overall clean place ,found food not as good as in past years ,fishing was very good by hiring local fisherman off of beach .Weather is always the same getting sunshine and warm days ,nice warm breeze off of ocean makes days very easy to sit under palapas with cold drinks.

Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf and Spa: Lovely resort, but needs more staff

The grounds and pools were lovely, as were the rooms. However, there never seemed to be enough staff to accommodate the visitors. It took far too long to get coffee or water at breakfast and that was after asking more than one server. Our rooms were cleaned twice in a week and not particularly well. Even getting drinks poolside took longer than it should have. I don’t think the staff weren’t good, there just weren’t enough of them. And the food was generally OK. Not fantastic.

Dreams Huatulco: Great Value & Great Stay

This is my second time in Huatulco and my group and I decided to try Dreams as we saw the grounds had more pools and restaurants than our previous stay at Barcelo. Dreams was definitely a DREAM. Our group had our rooms close to each other and oceanviews! The rooms were large and clean. The 3 infinity pools facing the ocean was fantastic, clean made our trip. The service by the pool were a bit slow but all servers were friendly and did their best with the large groups. The food was good  [... read more]and our favourite spots were the buffet, Mexican and Italian restaurants. I also enjoyed the lobby entertainment which kept the nights lively past 9:30pm!

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Best heated a pool in Puerto Vallarta

We were there on January 24 for one week with our grand children and enjoyed the resort very much . We had stayed at the Dreams before and this Dreams fitted our needs This Dreams rated 7 out of 10 and the Dreams we stayed at before was rated 2 where 1 is the best. It is not too big a resort which makes it easy to keep an eye on the grandkids . Rooms were spotless and large but the large bath tub in the middle of the room took up a lot of space and was never used b [... read more]y most patrons. We enjoyed the no reservations for the a la carte restaurants. Our favorite was the Mexican restaurant where the spanish coffee was made at your table The Buffet Breakfast had everything one would want. We found the service was good Warning : the bathroom toilet door is like a glass shower room door so if you want your privacy be warned. The internet was hit and miss. with a router in every other room. so I suggest if the internet is important you specify a room with the router. Internet was fine in the lobby. The activity pool was well heated and very clean. This made for our enjoyment of the place. Our grandkids spent 4 hours at a time in the pool. The infinity pool was not heated and that was evident as no one was in that pool. We paid extra for the water view and expected we would be close to the ocean. The building closest to the ocean is all condos. We could see a small portion of the ocean from our balcony but we could hear the wave crashing on the beach.The beach is excellent for kids Only two wines were offered a red merlot and a chardonnay. If you wanted another type that was extra charge. I would recommend this as a great family resort.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Staff were friendly and courteous. Facility was top notch and a beautiful property. 1hr and 45 mins from airport so a bit far but worth the wait. Beach area small but nice. Great place and would definitely go back again.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Mexico 2019 vacation at Dreams

Excellent resort. All the staff were wonderful and best pool we have ever swam in. Lots of activities for everyone to enjoy. Lack of privacy in the unit, but we knew this beforehand so not a big deal. Nightly entertainment was wonderful!

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Panama vacation

The hotel was in need of an update. The staff were friend and helpful. The gardens were very well kept. Much better than the hotel. The pools were not very clean. The food was very good but a bit tiring after 2 weeks.

Dreams Huatulco: Great Holiday

Great resort. Safe clean with good food. Everything is fairly close so there is not a lot of walking like in new resorts. Beach is great for everyone. Staff great. Safe to go into local town by cab as well. Would definitely go back. If you are young and looking for night life this place is not for you.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Restful stay

Dreams is a nice small resort with everything very handy. Rooms are decent size however beds a bit hard. Great beach and lovely pool. Never a problem getting chairs and staff are great. For a five star resort we expected more from the food. Terrible buffet with limited choices. Other 5star (and less) have carvery stations while Dreams simply had carved meat (and scarce at that) under hot lights. Disappointing. Breakfast at beach was by far the best meal, and lunch at beach was good as well. [... read more] A few of the restaurants were good but the majority was never quite hot. For this reason I would not go back. Entertainment was limited as well. For these reasons I give it only a 4 star.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Missed the Mark !

The overall a stay was ok. The beach was very clean and provided a relaxing environment for the week. The service was seriously lacking. Each bar made each drink differently they were to say the least inconsistent. If you are going to stay at this resort it is worth upgrading to the preferred club. Each experience within the preferred club was great ! Outside of that everything seemed like an inconvenience to the staff. By the end of the week we were low on small bills an went to several out [... read more]lets to trying to get smaller bills including the Front Desk, Currency Exchange, Bartenders and Bell staff. We offered a tip to change the money and they were unable to make change. We were asked to purchase something at the gift shop in order to get change. We spent $30.00 and they were not able to provide us change from $40.00 so we were forced to charge the items to our room. At which time we went to the front desk to pay in cash the $30.00 item and guess what ? They had small bills. The entertainment was awful. The shows in the evening were not up to even a mediocre standard. We did not have a beach party which would have been welcome after listening to Karaoke from the other guests. We did have a few bright spots with the staff Victor and Zoleidy at the preferred bar were excellent. Champion and Eddy in the Entertainment Staff were also very good at trying to get the guests involved. Security was always lurking in the Shadows which provided and uneasy feeling like you were being watch at all times. I definitely would not be in a rush to return to this resort.
