Wonderful resort for family

Beach is amazing. You come to the right place if you love clear blue water and snorkeling. Food is good, lots of choices. There is a market place with different vendors every day if you love to shop. Service is also very good.

Excellent Experience!

The resort grounds were always taken care of so beautifully! Pool was always clean and beach was breathtaking. Staff was very accommodating with any requests we had. A la carte restaurants were good. Not what I expected, but still good! Buffets were great compared to other resorts I've been to in Cuba. Some food items were made right in front of you (ex - pasta bar, omelette bar, etc.) Staff was so friendly on all encounters. Rooms were always cleaned and decorated so nicely. Nice...but could be better!

Family recommended this resort after being there a year before. We went with them in early May, found check in VERY slow, a bus load of us arrived to be checked in by ONLY 2 people at the desk. Our room was not ready for us, we had to be moved the next day. The new room had air conditioning that was at best...poor. Our room attendants were wonderful, very clean and thorough. Our family members were surprised with the difference from the year previous. The pool was falling apart, tiles missing/br [... read more]oken. Bar service was there if you tipped the bartender. Not all restaurants were open (understood it was the time of year) Found dress codes a little much, men in long pants for dinner in 95o weather...really?? Dress shorts would have been more appropriate I think. Been to Cuba twice...won't go back.

Amazing

Resort Very nice and service friendly and very clean .only missed 24 hr service restaurant ,it was small,not enough food.resort is very big. Lots walking . room service is good. Entertainment staff is very friendly ,I did enjoy lots volleyball and pool activity

Suoer resort for Cuba

Food was very good. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Weather was perfect. People were friendly. Beach was a bit of a walk but worth it once your were there. Pool was large with lots of pool lounges available.

Very good

It is alright ,but there is a space for improvement. For example Water is not available in small bottles ,you get only one 1.5 liter in your room for a day?its inconvenience to carry with you all the time. Any other time you need a water you need to to a bar to get it ? Any other resort I have been small bottled water is available everywhere for free.

Overall great vacation

grounds were well maintained along with public areas. rooms on the first floor need improvement as water gets in when it rains. the grilling stations in the restaurants were good but i feel that the prepared foods at the buffet need improvement. the a la carte restaurants were amazing. great quality. the lobby was a main attraction. great place to socialize and meet new people. entertainment was always enjoyable. overall this was an excellent resort and very enjoyable trip, and I would definitel [... read more]y go back again!

Great resort

Having traveled to Cuba many times i have found playa pesquero to be one of the larger resorts but very well layed out.Nice spacious rooms and the food was better than most.Entertainment could have been better but overall worth your money.Would go back for sure.

Fantastic staff!

I loved it here. Perfect spot to enjoy Cuba, Holguin . Rooms could be updated but the staff and quality of the food made up for any short comings. The staff are really, really well trained :) completely understand why people return, I will. Great beach, snorkelling on site, huge pool and very relaxed atmosphere.

Playa tremendous

Excellent food, beach area, and all bar areas! Extremely friendly staff, will aid you at any time. Rooms were comfortable. Various nightly shows were very entertaining. An excellent weeks stay. Will be back!

Fell in love

this is by far an unbeatable bargain in cuba. You have everything you would need, everything you could want. restaurants, pools, bars, shops, ice cream, bbq, entertainment, beautiful beach, ... what more can be said .... no one can be disappointed coming here ...

Paradise

When we walked into the lobby bar we were quite taken back at the beauty and friendliness of the staff only to continue to be in complete awe over the paradise that awaited us when we were on our way to our room. This was our first time to an island and we felt that we had arrived into paradise. The pool, the gardens, walkways and lights were just a few of what took our breath away. Never being away from home, we found ourselves feeling like we had landed in paradise. We then located our room wi [... read more]th the friendly help of the staff who shuttled us from the lobby bar to our room. Our room was located near the pool and lobby bar. It was a fantastic location and when we walked in we were pleased to see that the room was beautiful and clean with everything we needed. The room was equipped with two large beds, fridge, separate bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. The food was excellent and I did not have any problem finding fresh and tasty items everyday that we were there. The food displays were incredible. We have had other trips since this one, but we often talk of this being the nicest resort we have been too.

Disappointed

The first time I went to this resort was in 2006, it left me astounded! I loved it so much that I wanted to go back & brought friends along, I went back in 2014 & was not pleased at all, the food was terrible, birds flew in at the buffet and went right in the food trays to pick food and fly away, I saw tiny bugs in the cheese, all around the sweets etc...I'm sorry, I cannot recommend this what was once a wonderful resort.

Amazing Resort ! One of a kind !

Clean grounds, excellent customer service, quality hotel, excellent food, high class entertainment and...convenient - close to the beach - snorkeling GALORE!. People who are in love with hot dogs, hamburgers and fries may not find this resort the best. Went there on May 2014 with a group of friends

Playa Pesquero

The resort was well laid out with beautiful grounds and lots of activities to do and areas to walk. The staff were very helpful and efficient and the variety of food and venues was excellent. It was a great holiday.

Just ok

This was the 4th time i have been to this resort.I found the food just ok,bacon was terrible,lobster got better as the 2 weeks went on.They ran out of french fries in the 2nd week,which i hear from friends didn't reappear for another week and a half.I found it dirtier than the other times,at least 3 toilet seats missing in mens washrooms,i don't think the swept pool area.The rooms were nice and clean,really counldn't hear the construction next to our room at all.The staff was very hospitable and [... read more] the beach is beautiful.

Would return in a heart beat

nothing about the hotel would i bring up that would be negative , any issues were dealt with in a positive manner.i played a lot tennis . in fact every morning i played , the staff , the tennis pro was excellant . he taught me some tennis pointers .

Beyond my expectations!

We stayed at Playa Pesquero in March. We had the best trip ever! As soon as we arrived we were offered champagne. We were given a superior room that was so perfect for us. Complimentary drinks in fridge, very spacious, wonderful patio. Our maid was a sweetheart and very accommodating. Beautiful beach, large and inviting pool, and great variety of a la cartes and buffets. We really would love to come back!

Fablous resort # 1

Everything is beautiful rooms are clean the meals are super and a good variety and the staff is like family. Lot's of chairs at the pool and the beach clean towels at 2 locations and the drinks are super fine.

Our Home Away from Home

We have been to Playa Pesquero 8 times. We have traveled there as a couple, with our children, with an elderly parent and with our friends. Each time we have had a terrific time. We absolutely love the resort. The beach is beautiful, the workers are wonderful and the food is great with many options to choose from. The resort is large with lots of opportunities to fit in a good walk, but shuttles are available as well.
