Beautiful Beach!

The water was blue, clear and warm! The grounds were well kept and the facilities were gorgeous. The food was the low point of the resort even at the Royal Service restaurant where we stayed. Safe and friendly.

Great beach, Substandered Service

The pool and beach were amazing. The AC in our room never worked properly and the service from the front desk was substandard at best. Essentially they were not interested in their guests comfort or needs.

Luxury at its best!

We arrived at night and could not fully appreciate the beauty of the grounds. We woke up the next day to see the beautiful pool on one side of us and the ocean on the other side. We had the Royal Service upgrade...Wow was it worth it. We had our private area. The pool , the beach and since we are foodies, the private restaurant for the Royal Service guest was Amazing. The people were absolutely beautiful and caring. The water was the nicest and clearest I have ever seen. It was 30 minutes from the airport, which was nice not having to drive too long or far.

Great resort for a getaway

Grounds are beautiful! Service was great, the beach is beautiful, the pools are fantastic ... Although we spent all of our time at the beach / ocean. The room had that musty smell when we checked in, but once we had the air conditioning on it was fine. highly recommend the Havana tour!

Amazing property

Grounds were 5 star. Service in some cases could have been better but overall we would return to this resort. I thought the food was quite good the room was clean and maid service was very good as well. Entertainment was better than other Cuban resorts. I would rate this hotel a 4 1/2.

Beautiful, first class resort

Excellent resort. Staff and service were wonderful, friendly and helpful. The food was average, but that is the way it is in Cuba. The grounds were well kept and maintained. The evening shows and entertainment were very enjoyable.

Vacation - Mother and Daughter

April/May 2015 We enjoyed this relaxing resort. By far the best was the excellent service received by the staff throughout the resort. This was our first time in Cuba, enjoyed the beaches. The pool was and grounds were very nice, however we were at the beach most of the time. Very nice for long walks, collecting shells and fantastic swimming. Although we did not book the Royal Service, which has a [... read more]ccess to nicer private bar and restaurants, we were able to dine in those restaurants a few evenings and the food was much superior. I would recommend if the price is not much difference - to book and stay on the Royal Service property. We met a number of guests who seemed very pleased. This would be my recommendation.

First-class hotel, first class Service

My fiancé and I just returned from one week all-inclusive holiday this was my fifth trip to Cuba and by far it was the most exceptional hotel I have encountered. I would recommend it to my friends and would go again

Great Resort!

The gardens at this hotel were well maintained by the gardeners. The junior suites premium rooms were spacious and newer (block 6). The beach and the ocean were great! The pool was clean and well maintained. The service was good in all the restaurants and bars. The buffet was lacking seemed to be the same everyday. One of the things that I didn't like to so much was the large amount of flies at the buffet which I think could have been taken care of. The people working at the resort were very friendly and hard working. The piano bar was a nice place to unwind and relax. I especially liked the cuban buffet outside by the beach and the little band and dancing while enjoying a meal. The little bands and piano playing in some of the restaurants we attended were exceptional!! A daily compass(itinerary) would have been great to have on a daily basis as seen in other resorts. I believe a little more organization would make this hotel that much better. I was extremely disappointed that the only bar to go dancing at night was closed all WEEK!! One thing that I want to do while I'm on vacation and book at a couples only resort is dance like I'm sure many couples want to do. Overall I liked Cuba and would stay here again if we decide to go to a couples only resort in Varadero.

One of the best in Cuba

This is a very nice resort with great pool area and beach. Buffet has ample choices for anyone. A good choice of A La Carte Restaurants that also have great food. Rooms are large and clean. Beach bar is lacking choices of drinks. Washrooms for beach area is a little walk to get to. Washrooms on resort needed to be cleaner and stocked with tissue, soap and towels - this would be the only important issue that I would downgrade it to a 4 star. Being one of the last resorts on the Varadero peninsula [... read more], your bus will stop and pick up others at the resorts along the way - making your ride quite a bit longer. Friendly staff are what makes others return to this resort.

Super welcoming resort

You can hardly find any mistake for their hospitality. Everynight amazing show and never ever need to go out. Fantastic food, lovely taffs, never beg for tips as you love top do it yourself. Thanks Osca the general manager

Amaxing Resort,

First time visiting Cuba, Definitely a 5 star resort, room was very spacious and comfortable, food choices were amazing an delicious. Resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beach and pools were very clean

OK stay

The resort is beautiful and well laid out. The resort employees are friendly and helpful, especially Mayte, Freddy and Regla. There were tons of flies in the food and dining area in the buffet restaurant which was very off-putting, this was my 10th time to Cuba and I had not experienced that at other resorts. There was not much variety in the food served at the buffet. I did not go to the a la cartes, so I can't comment on them. The beach grill is a pleasant place to have lunch. The pool area ha [... read more]d lots of loungers and was very clean. The beach was ok but not as nice as the stretch in front of Sandals Royal Hicacos, Melia Las Antillas and Iberostar Tainos. I thought the entertainment was varied and good and the Main Square was a great venue for it .

Relaxing Escape from Winter

After suffering through the worst winter that we can recall in Halifax, we booked this resort because we had previously had good experiences with Paradissus resorts elsewhere. It it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after. Check-in was seamless, service was great, food was better than expected with great selection from the buffet to the a la carte restaurants. Excellent Resort

We traveled to Princess Del Mar Cuba March 19/2015 until 26/2015. We took my Mother-in-Law who is the early stages of Alzheimer's. We stayed in the Royal Service and could not be happier with our decision to stay at this resort. Everything was perfect. The grounds, pool area were very well kept. We never had a problem finding a place to sit around the pool or on the beach. The beach area is so close with very easy access. the beach area was fantastic. The service was second to none. Everyone was [... read more] very helpful, warm and welcoming. A special thanks to our butler "Pablo." He really went out of his way to address any questions, issues or things we needed. His English was very good. Also "Marlien" who looked after our room. We stayed in rooms 7231/7232 and she did an excelled job. She was very friendly and spoke quite good English as well. As I mentioned, all staff during our stay was very friendly. The ladies on the front deck always had a smile and dropped whatever they were doing when we approached. I don't know why people complain about the food in Cuba. We have traveled elsewhere in the South and the food here was just as good as anywhere. You just can't beat the Cuba people though. We look forward to coming back again in Sept or Oct. If not, we will be for sure traveling in the winter of 2016!!

Real Cuba creeps in

The resort is quite stunning, the beach beautiful, weather amazing. Unfortunately all this is in Cuba. We were dinged for 80$ leaving Cuba as somehow, magically, my bag weighed 7 km more. This happened to many passengers but I had not bought anything except small trinkets. Many Cuban men are rude and macho. If you have a problem they get aggressive instead of helpful. And good luck trying to find a female hotel manager; there aren't any. So much for their revolution for equality.

Very Nice Resort...

There was something here for everyone, lots of activities, the pool was very nice. The beach was awesome.... We can't say enough about the staff, they were first class!!! Always very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was fun everynight. They have a great set up for their nightly shows .

Paradise at the Paradisus

Paradisus Princesa del Mar is a lovely resort for people looking for a quiet, peaceful, nice vacation. Hotel grounds are well kept and appealing. Would recommend to those aged 35+. Not too big, but has everything you need.
