Very nice, relaxing resort

The grounds were very well manicured, everything was clean.The staff were great, especially Fransico. We couldn't complain about the food. The complex is very large; however, easy to get around with the shuttle buses and you could certainly walk everywhere.

Grounds were well kept. The beach was fabulous and there was plenty of shade and sunny spots. We didn't have any problems finding lounge chairs on the beach and spent every day there. Wonderful ocean breezes kept the temperatures from being stifling. Our room was very nice and the maid made sure it was done early in case we wanted a siesta. There were plenty of towels, however, face clothes were harder to come by. I recommend you bring some of your own (in case). They gave us a wonderful time

Spent 10 days at Anbar, the adult-only section of this humungous resort. We were looking for a quiet break from our coldest winter ever and we found heaven. We had comfortable beds in a quiet room just steps away from our restaurant and a 3-minute walk to the beach. The buffets offered a great assortment of beautifully prepared dishes and the house wines were excellent. We had a particularly memorable meal at the Italian restaurant by the beach. We found the Dominican people to be the warmest, h [... read more]appiest and most welcoming people we have ever encountered in our travels. Without exception, from the maid to the restaurant staff, the servers, bell hops, groundskeepers and entertainers, the hotel employees worked their buns off to attend to our every need. Our only complaint (which I gather is also a problem at most resorts) is the lack of enforcement of the rule against reserving seating at the beach. It should not be necessary to haul oneself out of bed before 7:00 every a.m. in order to ensure a spot in the shade.

Paradise

This is a great 5 star hotel. From the time you arrive at Ambar you are greeted and pampered with service. No lining up to check in. You are seated in lobby,drinks served while you fill out room info. Then your keys etc.are brought to you and the facilities are explained. Room large and clean. Food excellent and grounds,pool,everywhere was we'll maintained. Staff extremely friendly.

Really beautiful and good quality

Everything was great and very clean. Service was also great. Location of our room in bldg 64 was an excellent location, near pool and lobby. Trolley service was appreciated especially with the hot temperatures.

Fabulous Resort!

Ambar 1 is close to the ocean, the rooms are spacious and clean, the food is great and the service spectacular! The staff in every area were very attentive and highly professional. The only thing that could use an update is the gym. Book your a la carte choices in advance of your stay as they book up fast.

Wonderful resort

Grounds were exceptionally well kept. buffet had alot of choices,room was kept very clean and fridge was stocked nightl. A la carte restaurants were of the highest quality. This was our third trip at the Ambar and hope to visit again.

Excellent! Exclente!! Resort -

This was our first trip to Punta Cana. My husband and I stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Resort for Adults only. This resort is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. Very clean, amazing service. The staff were excellent and very friendly and courteous. Staying at the Ambar Resort gave us privileges to the other 4 resorts on the property with our wrist bands we could eat, drink and use all the facilities. Free Wi-fi in the main lobby. Love this resort!

The grounds are beautiful, the food is excellent, the beach is amazing, the rooms are a good size and very clean, staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. Good value for the money. We will definitely be going back.

Unbelievable Resort

Amazing food, grounds, beach, pool and staff. This was our honeymoon trip that has been on hold for 10 years........it was the best chance for my wife and i to reconnect and enjoy the sun, sand and surf.

Very beautiful and charming.Lots to do

Beautiful,Lots of privacy, noise free, service good,Occasionally was difficult to get directions from the staff. Lack of English speaking staff. Directions were quite frustrating. However we found our way around via the very good on grounds cute little taxi wagons. Almost no waiting.

Fantastic resort!

Our group of 17 stayed there April 3 - 10. The resort was clean, the food was great, the beach was raked daily so no seaweed to deal with. Our beach bartender, Francisco was attentive and more than happy to please. Miguel, the beach boy cleaned our loungers and our sandy feet with his wonderful broom (tickle, tickle). The lobby is quite quiet but there are plenty of other areas on the resort if you're looking for wilder entertainment. We visited 4 a la cadres with great meals. Nice Spot

Had been to the Ambar two years ago and returned home telling everyone that it was perfect in every way. Apparently things have changed since then, as there were several things amiss over our 14-day stay: buffet - area was messy & food quality was less, 3 in our party had 'traveler's diarreha' more than once; room was not touched on 3 different days; air conditioner not up to par; my husband found the drinks excessively watered down. Resort to be experienced!

Friendly, helpful staff ready to help with anything. Wide variety of good food. Nice al le cartes available for all tastes, Beautiful pools and beach, well maintained. A variety of entertainment available.

Great resort and weather

Ambar was the nicest section of the report and is highly recommended. Good food, great wait staff and polls. Only drawback was hotel staff only recommended off site excursions to affiliated organizations.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the most beautiful resorts we had ever been to. Every small detail was given the utmost attention. The staff, always with a smile, looked after us from the minute we arrived till we left. We will definitely be returning.

Great resort, food was boring

AMAZING RESORT

Just returned from 7 days at the Ambar. This is our second time and it just keeps getting better. Food and drinks are fantastic, grounds and rooms are immaculate and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Planning on returning next year.

Wonderful Holiday Resort

We love the Bahai Principe Ambar. This was our second visit and we enjoyed sharing it with good friends who were truly impressed by our visit. Everything from front desk of the resort to the ocean is beautiful! The grounds, the staff, the restaurants, the rooms, the food, the pool and beach are all top notch! Would recommend this resort to anyone!

Very well kept nice grounds and excellent place to stay. Great food friendly people very well kept beach and pool. Restaurants very good food.would recommend this resort to anybody that wants to have a relaxing vacation.
