Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Love this resort

This resort was the smallest I’ve been to but it was my favourite. The rooms are clean, food was good but the entertainment staff and bar tenders etc make this place so special. ALL the staff are amazing. Can’t wait to return

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

This Resort is great, the grounds are kept immaculate and the rooms are clean. The food is excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive. The bars are close by everywhere and the pool is huge and kept clean.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Second Time Staying At Same Resort

Our first stay in Oct. 2023 was Amazing. Our second stay on April 08, 2024 was 3/4 amazing. We did not get a WELCOME BACK sign on our door. And when I told the front desk they had no idea it was our second stay. Over all we might return the resort is great for entertainment and there is Alot to do on the resort.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Wonderful resort

The grounds were impeccable. The resort is an older resort but the rooms were spacious and clean. Had some problems with a few things but the staff was quick to remedy them. There was a great selection of food so no one should go hungry as anyone could find something to eat. The entertainment staff did their best to put on a variety of different shows every evening and the activity staff got many people to join in the festivities .

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Loved this trip

Extended family trip. Did not want to leave and ready to return. Took the premium package - vintage bar was great and the separate beach was wonderful. A la carte restaurants were a chance to try other foods than the buffet - which was amazing and the staff are great. Initially put in a room on the third floor - not great for someone with mobility issues - but changed as quickly as the front desk was able to find an appropriate room. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: An excellent vacation

The only minor issues while we were there were the 3hr wait for our room upon arrival to check in, and the one store had medication to prevent sea sickness before an excursion but couldn’t sell it to us because it was not priced in the computer, and the manager wasn’t answering her phone. Apart from that all of the staff were incredibly helpful especially our concierge Wellington (I’m sorry I’ve probably spelled his name wrong). The resort was extremely clean and the beach was beautiful. The foo [... read more]d and drinks were excellent. I highly recommend the coffee shop, the gelato bar and the sports bar. There was lots of selection on the buffet. The room was quite comfortable, it was cleaned every day, fresh towels and water were always available. It was nice and quiet for sleeping after 10pm. If you want an excellent all round vacation to relax and unwind I would 10/10 recommend it.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Home away from home

This was my 11th time to Casa Marina and it did not disappoint. From the amazing views, especially the sunsets, to the fact that you step out front of the resort and you are in Sosua. The staff are eager to please and are so hard working. Don't be afraid to venture off the resort and take in the many restaurants and shops that Sosua has to offer. Will I be back.. you can count on it.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Bien

Petit resort près de l’aéroport. Tout est bien situe. Chambres sont à 2 min de la piscine, 2 min du buffet etc… Nous avons été capable d’avoir 4 restos à la carte dans la semaine. La plage est à 5min de marche et beau sentier pour si rendre. Longue plage ou on peut marcher. Serviette de plage disponible chaque matin.

it was a little old, but very clean and well kept staff were nice , house keeping was good no complaints really except there was money missing from our safe we complained about that but it went nowhere naturally

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing resort!

This resort was awesome. The nightlife could have been better but it was okay. The food was absolutely amazing. We got the royal package which we probably would not do again as the perks are not that rewarding ..We want to go back next year if we can get a good price.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

As a third time visitor to this resort, I can assure you if you are a solo traveller you are absolutely safe there. One of my main reasons for going to this hotel. They continue to be smart and have the same person clean your room daily. Therefore, they get to know you and you feel more confident versus some hotels changing housekeepers every 3 days. The front desk etc does not sluff you off and speak fluent English. The hotel is small medium so easy to find things quickly. The food is good and [... read more] plentiful. The only drawback I found this year was them offering you a free massage if you attend a so called short introduction. Unless you are keen on investing into their hotel package offer decline. For 2.5 hours you will waste of your holiday. The first clue is when they ask your occupation. The other downfall is the quality of entertainment at night, however a bit prejudice after I saw what they are capable of that way in Jamaica. On a different note they are unbelievable in recycling and they are way ahead. Impressive. They have many repeat guests and their fan page is so helpful. You give a shout out and a guest will immediately reply. I highly recommend this. The main issue was people begging for Benadryl for mosquito bites. So please take that and mosquito repellant. You can't see the mosquitos so very tiny but they itch like crazy. Overall, I would return again, just annoyed that they weren't too upfront on the buy in process re hotel and the time it takes. Tourists are very friendly and helpful. Have fun, you will return!

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: I’ll be back.

Been to dozens of resorts, this is the third time @Viva Tangerine Love the beach. Food was good, not pre covid good, but no resort has stepped it up fully yet. Only ate at the main dining room. All Service, esp dining and housekeeping was great, employees seem to truly care and enjoy their job, and people. (great bosses no doubt) Entertainment: I’ve see worse, but very few. If you think being in-your-face flamboyant, compensates for lazy and rude, then you will be blind to the problem. All things considered, great value.

Room clean daily Pool always clean Food quite good Staff excellent 90% Quebecers Smoking Arrogant Loud & Lots of Cruise day visitors Won’t go back Prefer to have local Dominicans but none could book as it was full of French ☹️ I know they book to fill the resort to stay functional but when there are people problems it ruins it for others. Would not recommend to Ontarians

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Fantastic Time!

Preface: This is mine and my partners 1st all inclusive experience. Resort was awesome, great pools, amazing beach, good food, friendly staff. Rooms were dated but met our needs and were fine. We wernt there to be stuck in our rooms anyways. It was a mature resort, I would say we were on the younger side as an early 30 year old. Everyone that was there was respectful and nice. We met many people who were repeat traveller's to this particular resort, one couple as many as 8 times.  [... read more]It wasn't overly crowded, getting drinks and service at the bars was a breeze, lots of space in the various pools to carve out your own little oasis. The beach feature a nice assortment of lounges and beds and from the journey I made down the beach, easily stood out as having one of the better configurations and beach fronts. Finding a lounge space in the shade was also a breeze. If you're into excursions, a resort staff member, Luiz is the guy to talk to. Best deals going compared to what is offered online and through airlines. Many excursions are weather dependant, so book them ASAP. We did two, the snorkel/Catamaran adventure was top tier, highly recommended. Second was the Supper Buggies, definitely do not recommend after heavy rains, which is what we did. The main paths were washed out and we essentially drove through dirty ditch water alongside the highway. All in all, an awesome experience, and would definitely consider going back.

Playabachata Hotel: Amazing resort and affordable

In the nutshell. Beach- clean, beautiful and palm trees on the beach should be a feature to promote. Rooms a bit outdated, but who cares as you only sleep there. Everything was functional in the room, shower, hot/cold water, sinks, lights, safe etc. Pools, chairs drinks all available all the time. Buffet, a good variety of food to choose from. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Pretty but tired.

The grounds were kept beautifully. The pool however seemed to not be functioning quite right and was pretty dirty some days. There is a kids pool and two large pools. With a couple of baseball teams present, I am not sure why the kids are allowed in the pool with the bar. They took over all the pools and were lacking any respect for the other guests in the pool. Every time I tried to dry my hair, the breaker blew and all the power went out. It must have been a regular thing because the panel was right by the door and we could just flip it ourselves. The food was not great at the buffet but the Japanese was good. All that being said, it was a beautiful resort and we had a good vacation.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

We just got back from a week at Heavens. I NEVER write reviews but I have to say this was a great vacation. The resort is small, very clean, the room was excellent, the food was good but it was the staff that exceeded all expectations. Jay and Mikeson beside the towel exchange were great. A huge shout out to the animation team especially Aladdin. Also, Hector the Protector on the beach offers great excursions at great prices. We will definitely be back!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Reasonable for price paid.

Resort could use some building updates but overall was clean. Staff was friendly but vendors on site were very pushy. Beach was cleaned every morning after wash up. Food was okay but very repetitive. There seemed to be lots of activities scheduled for kids but not as much for adults and entertainment was not overly entertaining.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Nice Resort

This was our third visit and we were very disappointed where our room was. We faced a construction site with noise starting at 6:30 am. Also the hotel didn’t recognize us as return guests. I guess return guests get a welcome fruit basket in their room upon arrival, a special dinner and a banner on their door which we didn’t receive any of that! VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: return customer
