Secrets Aura Cozumel: Enjoyed people I was with more than the resort!

It was nice but upgrades not worth the money and a la carte restaurants very skimpy on the portion sizes. I would prefer Melia where I went 2years ago in Cozumel and it included golf and for less money.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great experience

The grounds well maintained, rooms need some renovation, very nice people. The resort is close to town which is safe. The beach is a let down, almost inexistent and the water in the pool a bit cold; in general a good resort.

Zel Cozumel: Great resort

Great staff, friendly, lots to do (poolside activities, archery, mini golf, shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, etc. So close to the ocean, nice beach. Food was great, lots of variety to suit all tastes. Only down side was elevator was out of service.

Allegro Cozumel: The Perfect Vacation for all ages!!

The food, pools, beach, activities, rooms and staff were super awesome! Nolberto Lopez, Jesus & David with the Guest Activities team were the best I have ever seen. They continued to entertain the guests of all ages day and night. The food in the Mexican & Oriental Chop House were outstanding. Not so great in the Italian. The only complaint I had was the bed was hard as a rock. The rooms and grounds were very clean and well kept.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Wonderful Resort!

The Park Royal was wonderful. The rooms, pools and service were top notch. We loved the Italian, Carribeno and Mexican restaurants and the buffet was very good as well. There was a show every evening - most very good (the break dancing show was amazing). Our main concern was very few seats in the upper and lower lobbies. We often could not get a seat when going for a drink before our dinner reservation - this would be easy to remedy as there is room for more tables and chairs. Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Spectacular View

The grounds were well kept & public areas very clean alll the time. The rooms were very spacious We had an oceanview room and were on the 8th floor; the view was spectacular! The a la carte restaurants were excellent; the staff were very attentive and the food was very enjoyable. The only thing we found difficult at this resort was the stone walkways around the resort; they were uneven and difficult to walk on all the time. My husband and I are in our sixties and found this cumbersome; we const [... read more]antly had to watch our feet to make sure we didn't trip. We talked to a couple of people in their wheel chairs and using walkers and this was a problem for them as well. You can tell this is an older resort just from looking at the first set of stairs we encountered going from the lobby to the main grounds and also the bridge going from the main grounds over to the bikini bar.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Amazing resort!!

Everything about this resort was amazing. My boyfriend and I travelled the first week of Feb. The staff at Grand Park Royal will go out of their way to get you anything you need and make you smile. Food was great and the size of the resort was perfect! We'd go back in a heartbeat!!! Amazing bang for your buck!!!

Allegro Cozumel: This resort was very nice..

I would rate the Allegro as a 31/2*.. The units were comfortable,clean and close to everything on the grounds ..The grounds were very well looked after,the grounds keepers don't get enough credit for their hard work..The food was a 4 out of 5 most of the time,we enjoyed it,was always something yummy to eat.Once in awhile the middle counters were a bit cold but we all know it's hard keeping a buffett hot for long periods of time..The a la cartes we all fantastic,there are 3 of them..The staff wer [... read more]e wonderful and very prompt to fix or answer any questions we had..

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Fabulous Resort

What a fantastic stay at this resort! I can't say enough. The staff were wonderful, very attentive to detail. Our room was gorgeous, very clean and decorative. The grounds were very clean and picturesque, staff always cleaning. The beachfront was beautiful. ..2 infinity pools. .2 tubs and sandy area were great. Plenty of chairs for everyone. 2 snack bars had great food. Had the opportunity to do all 3 specialty restaurants. ..Caribbean was our favorite! Nightly entertainment was a nice touch..the Mayan show was our favorite. Bars offered premium liquor and served great drinks. The resort only has 350 rooms. ...so was never super busy and loud! Zel Cozumel: Very nice

The resort was very nice. It is a must to stay in the tower if you don't have kids. Be very careful of your lougage when you arrive. My cate on got put back in the van and I had to pay and find it my self. Not the hotel nor Sunwing would help me. The hotel would even book me in because I didn't have my password port, it was in my carry on. Other than that this was our 4th time on Cozumel and I would have to say this was the best resort of all We would definitely go back.

Zel Cozumel: Great resort

The staff made this resort...very helpful and service oriented. We felt like we were at summer camp and enjoyed getting involved in all of the activities. Loved the golf across the street. Pools a little cool, but the sea and beach was beautiful. Loved the garden view room and it was close to everything. Small, intimate resort.

Fiesta Americana Cozumel: Pleasant Stay - could use some slight changes

The hotel has been open a little more than a year since major renovation. The positives are the rooms are large airy and ours had two balconies complete with a hammock, two bathrooms and a mini-bar. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice white and newer. In the lobby are some basket style hanging chairs which are quite nice. The negatives are the hotel lobby furniture is oversized and lacking good pillows to allow them to be comfortable, not as inviting as they look. I would suggest bringing in some local talent to sing or other locals to display their wares (jewellery, paintings, carvings or Mexican blankets and such). We saw lots of local things when we toured off the resort, it seems like it would be easy to get locals to bring their products to sell at the resort. In all our of stays, we never saw a hobbi cat in the water, which would have been quite nice and it seems that the fish have migrated more towards the Money Bar than in previous visits. If the resort puts some clay pots in the ocean like at the Money Bar I am sure the fish sightings would be amazing. Currently unless you are near the boat dock, the fish are not as plentiful as in the past. Overall this is a nice resort, however if you are night lift seeker this is not the place for you as most evenings are quiet and if there is entertainment it is usually done before 11 pm.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

The Resort was great, the food was good, entertainment was excellent, the beach was poor due to the rocks and corral . It could have been cleaned up and added more sand so that swimmers could swim in it.

Playa Azul: Quiet and small

Very quiet hotel with great staff. Beach in front of hotel is small with some rocks, but can easily enter with no problem. Snorkelling right of the beach. Buffet breakfast with our plan was delicious with lots of variety. All rooms appear to have ocean views. Beds were very comfortable. Only negative was lack of small fridge in rooms.

Secrets Aura Cozumel: Good Resort

Ground are amazing and maintained well, Room design is excellent, but still under renovation in presents of guests ; Restaurants are good, but buffet facility required to have better management and services, including meals variety; Staff extremely friendly; Entertainment Program developments required.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great Resort

We stayed here January 16-23 and wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms were ok, smaller than we are used to, but we weren't there to stay in the room, the beds very comfortable and we never had any issues with hot water. The rooms were really clean, fantastic towel art, the only issue we had with the room was when the air conditioning was turned on, it smelled very musty, they need to do some maintenance on the air. The grounds were lush and very well kept and there were peacocks, wild pig [... read more]s, flamingos, cats, huge iguanas, parrots and turtles. Because of the humidity the beach had sand fleas, I didn't read the paper they gave us with our welcome package so found out the hard way. There was no problem getting chairs on the beach or a palapa, but most of the chairs around the pool had towels claiming them early in the day. The staff are excellent! very hard workers. The food was good, not fantastic, but good, it became repetitive in the main buffet, and I didn't like the bulk yogurt in the morning. Everyday there was a bar-b-q down near the beach and the food there was excellent. We found the entertainment to be better than we have found in most resorts, very talented young people. If you are a diver this is a perfect resort, I'd say 1/2 the people staying there were divers and would go out several times a day. The cappuccinos were great! There is a store on site and it is not over the top expensive. We went into town one day and it cost $18 on way, but worth it. I would recommend this resort.

Zel Cozumel: Had a fantastic time!

I travelled to the Melia with my 4 year old son in January. The staff were amazing, especially Sussy, who was running the kids club, and Otoniel, who was often running activities. My son developed relationships with both of them, as they were so kind to him. My room was always clean as was the resort. We did not take advantage of any ala cartes, but were always able to eat well in the buffet. No sickness from any food and lines for made-on-the-spot stations were never long. There was plenty to k [... read more]eep us busy on the resort. It is not overly large, so everything is in comfortable walking distance. Leaving your room is not a commitment as with some larger resorts. People selling jewelry on the beach approached me once or twice a day and were very kind, not pushy or rude. I was so happy with my stay at the Melia and hope to return one day.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Awesome Resort... Great Value!

This resort exceeded my expectations for the relatively low cost... what a great value! The food and service were excellent. The nightly shows were good. Two minor critiques... the pools were cold, and I would have liked more activities.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: We had an amazing time!

The snorkelling at the beach was quite cool most days. At times it was a bit windy and this made the water quite sandy. This obviously impacted visbility. For most days the water was crystal clear. We saw some rays, some crabs, lots of fish and just had a great time snorkeling. The food at the resort was excellent. We had some reservations about the food based on earlier reviews but found these concerns to be unfounded. The drinks were excellent as well, we found the pop corn at the main lobby  [... read more]bar to be quite a welcome surprise. We found the staff to be very conscientious and really made an effort to get to know us. Some of the rooms were a bit stuffy mostly due to moisture buildup. I believe the rooms would benefit through the installation of some exhaust fans. To combat this i would have to leave my door open in the morning to let the moisture escape after my showers. I would also leave any wet towels/clothes outside and would let them airdry.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Great resort and fabulous people

My family and I had an amazing time at iberostar Cozumel. We also came across a beach bar called Alberto's just a few steps from the hotel. That was also amazing. The only thing I would add is a mini bar in the room with rum, vodka etc. I don't drink beer so having that in the room would be great
