Fantastic Resort

We went for our 20th Anniversary and had an amazing time! Can not say enough great things about all the staff that we were fortunate enough to meet. Our room was not ready when we arrived at 12:30pm but that was okay because check in was not until 4. When we did get our room the A/C was not working, so my husband went to notify them at the front desk and within 10 minutes there was a maintenance man there to repair it but it couldn't be fixed,so he told my husband to go to the front desk and tel [... read more]l them and to our surprise he came back with 2 keys to a new room! Fantastic service! The pools were amazing, drinks and food were good, the beach was gorgeous. You need to bring water shoes there was some coral for the first 5feet then it was all sand!! I did a lot of research before booking and I can tell you if you love Cuba you need to check out this resort.

Beautiful beach and outstanding Service

Myself and a group of 8 traveled to the Memories Flamenco from Aug 26-Sep02 and we absolutely loved it!We had an amazing time there. The beach is so beautiful. The food is good. The service is outstanding. The staffs are all really nice. Thank you Memories Flamenco!

Great resort

It was a good hotel, the service was great, the food tastes good, the beach was very relaxing, the beds were comfortable, the bars were excellent, it was an overall amazing experience and i would like to go back shortly.

Great Vacation Spot

Hotel is fairly new, the toilets flush, the food is very good, our air conditioner was very loud and disturbing us thru the night, but at least it worked, staff were very friendly, the beach has a lot of coral at the edge but we knew that ahead of time and took beach shoes which were worn out by the end of the week. Housekeeping could be improved: the floor barely swept, towels and sheets not changed, although at the end of the week we found a card telling us to put it on the bed if we wanted ou [... read more]r sheets changed. our patio needed sweeping as lots of long hair from previous guests and candy wrappers collected in the corners.

Spectacular beaches

We spent 7 days at this resort Sept 4 - 11. We were welcomed by Karen at the front desk at check-in she was very pleasant with a warm smile and very positive helpful attitude. This is worth mentioning because that is the first impression and she made it a very good one!! We have not always had the same impression at other resorts in the past. Great resort! Lovely vacation!

My family thought that the hotel was wonderful. The employees were very kind and caring, the shows were very entertaining, the food was delicious, the pool was relaxing and the beach was surreal. We will definitely recommend this resort to our friends and will come back next year!

The resort was satisfactory

The staff of the resort was amazing. They were friendly and very helpful. The shows were very good. We had some problems with both rooms that we had. The telephone did not work. The remote for the TV did not work and was replaced. The toilet often continued to run. Sometimes when I jiggled the mechanism for flushing that would help and sometimes when I removed the tank lid and jiggled the pieces inside that worked also. Sometimes there was no hot water, other times there was no cold water, only scalding. The food was OK but very repetitive. There was coral near the shore and you had to find a pathway to go deeper into the water where there was less coral. If you went deep enough there was no coral at all. The sand area is quite small.

Cuba, Cuba, Cuba...my home away from home!

This was my 6th time to Cuba and I traveled there with my best friend and this was her 12th time! We love Cuba...it's where we love to be and this resort was like most of the others we've been to in various locations around Cuba. Clean, staff are friendly, etc. This was our first time to Cayo Coco and I'm not sure I'd go back only because I prefer the beaches at Holguin or Santa Maria. The beach here had rock that you had to tiptoe around to get to the sand and there's not as much beach (width)  [... read more]as other places. However, the rum was still awesome and I never have crazy expectations in Cuba - I'm just happy to be there!!! Our room was nice however we didn't have hot water for the last three days and on the last day we didn't have water period! They were having issues in our building with the water along with ceiling issues - our room ceiling was leaking and the hallway drywall ceiling had fallen down! Meh...it happens!!! The food was really good at this resort - I'm a vegetarian and usually have a tough time finding a variety of foods but this resort nailed it! A la cartes were pretty good as well! The only thing I would change is the time of year I went - being summer it was just too hot for me. I do love the heat but this was too hot! Next time I'll stick to my winter vacations but it was good to get away and experience Cuba during the hot hot hot season!

Not recomemded between age of 20 to 30.

The hotel's lobby was to small and to closed (no air), the bartenders weren't that friendly! No rooms im the mane lobby, they are all seperated in bungalows... Room service is slow.... Somedays my room wasnt cleaned before 4pm and i was in bungalow 3! Buffet was horrible (as usual, cuba is not the place to eat unless you eat outside the resort) NO CLUBS! Horrible shows (compare to other hotels) entertainment team was only interesting for kids! Caya coco is 1 hour away from the closes city (moron [... read more]) so theres nothing much to do.... I would of expected a better entertainment in the hotel but i was very disappointed! The beach is amazing caya coco and cay largo have the best beach. So basicaly you only want to go to that hotel if you have small children. NOT to party!

Enjoyable Vacation

The rooms were clean and quiet. The shower/tub combination was quite high off the ground and therefore dangerous for those of us that have have knee and hip replacements. The food was good and plentiful. The beach was peaceful. We did a couple of side trips which were fun!

Amazing Resort !!!!!!

My Husband and I were at Memories Flamenco Beach Resort Aug 4-15th. It was a beautiful resort, great food, amazing staff. It's close to the airport, so travel is quick. Check-In was very efficient, done on the bus so no delay... Buffet and restaurants were very nice. Grounds are lovely and very well maintained. We were in Building 1 room 1410 and the view was Spectacular !!! I'd return tomorrow if possible !!!

A memory in cuba

Excellent family vacation would completely recommend it to anyone with or without kids. Relax, eat, drink and enjoy the wonderful cuban people and amazing beach. One tiny complaint was the beach towel hours and services. It was ok.

Beutiful beaches , beautiful people

Humble kind stafff kept up with all duties of keeping room tidy n clean , beautiful ppl very polite always had a smile on their faces.entertainers wrked hard talented professional and attractive.bartenders made awesome Spanish coffee have me back inCanada wanting more

Amazing!

This is the most amazing resort! The staff are brilliant, the grounds are beautiful and the entertainment is the best by far! It is a nice sized resort that you can walk around and it is quite picturesque! The food is good and the drinks are amazing. I can hardly wait to get back! This is paradise on earth!

Amazing Resort

I traveled alone, had never been to Cuba, and was unsure where to stay. With the help of your agent (Kristian Parr), I chose Memories Flamenco and am glad I did! Absolutely wonderful resort. Beautiful grounds and well maintained Wide range of activities for young and old, single, family, couples, etc. Very friendly, hospitable staff. Concierge, front desk, waitstaff, and Sunwing rep. always there to answer questions and help. Still trying to understand what everybody says about the food, because [... read more] it was wonderful. The premium lobster dinner I received being a Diamond Club, was cooked perfectly. The only thing, maybe, is the shoreline has a lot of coral on it. So difficult to walk along the beach with your (bare) feet in the water. But, not much you can do about that.

Great visit

The staff was awesome and the grounds were very nice, the food was good. The area in Coyo Coco was very quiet, not a lot of options for site seeing. The beach was good though and the weather was great!

Great service, friendly staff!

Grounds are well kept...take mosquito repellant, nice pools ,swim up bar and activities...not much variety in food and bring ketchup if you use it. Beach is beautiful powder white sand and everything is easily accessible without too much walking.

Awesome vacation!

Had an amazing time at Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco! I came to this resort with young children aged 3 and 6 and it was perfect! the resort is beautifully maintained and the rooms were open and spotless. I honestly have no complaints about this resort...the food was good the staff was friendly the pools were great and the beach amazing! I would definitely return :)

Disapointing resort

Our 10th time in Cuba we did not like this resort at all, this is not a 4 stars hotel, We've been to 3 stars hotels in Cuba & there were much better. Even if it's low season it is not a reason to treat tourists badly. Grounds: nice, though some heavy works were done during our stay Room: nice, clean, maid very nice and discrete- Not worst taking oceanview as it is very far Location: poor, we could not rent motorcycle or car we felt like being trapped in this hotel unless you want to tour the ho [... read more]tels around this Cayo Staff: either very nice, either arrogant and rude Beach: poor You'd better go to Cayo Santa Maria or Varadero Kitchen is not managed at all, staff does whatever they feel like doing who cares about tourists Buffet: peas are served from breakfast to supper, grilled meat or fishes badly cooked (buffet room stinked and was so smoky), no fruits or not edible (come on we are in June: Mangos, bananas...). Somedays you won't get toast neither butter You'd better bring your own marmelade or honey since they do not offer some in this 4* hotel... Rude people from hotel rushing & serving themeselves badly grabing everything in front of you or passing the line. I don't mind staff eating with us but come on there is a minimum of "savoir vivre" and respect we paid for being on holidays in all included. A lot of bored staff and not even able to push up the button to heat the soup (we asked 3 times...) À la cartes were serving better food, serving was pretty fast. Conclusion: avoid this hotel

Resort and Staff are nice that's all....

I've been to Varadero & Cayo Santa Maria before this is my first time in Cayo Coco. The Good: The resort it self is very nice. The staff and service is excellent. The Bad: Beach area- No sun shade/umbrella. Only a small section to enter the water without rocks. Got eaten alive by sand flies/musquitos. The food isn't at par compare to other resorts in cuba. No Cuban celebration day. I will return to Cayo Coco but not at this resort.
