Grand Decameron Panama: OK Resort

Rooms are a little tired and walls are thin (noisy). Beds were comfortable. Rooms have safes but you have to pay to use them, not equipped with iron, coffee maker, robes, facecloths or tissues. Food was edible but not great

Bijao Beach Resort: Excellent sized resort on the Pacific

The Sheraton Bijao location is ideal. Close proximity to the newer airport. The ocean room with great view, powerful Air Conditioning, modern, clean, with new linens and towels, and bottled water. Fridge in the room but no bottled pop available. The choice of food was amazing very tasty at the daily buffet and at all 3 al la Cart restaurants. The pool side bar served tasty beverages. The beach is absolutely amazing with the option to walk for miles beside the Pacific Ocean. Ocean swimming was great fun. There is lots of shade and many beach chairs. It is very hot every day! . . The staff are all exceptionally polite and happy to help you. They all work extremely hard everyday to make your vacation enjoyable! The only irritating thing at the resort was the extremely loud volume of music at the pool. The music would have been enjoyable if it was not blarring all day. Bring ear plugs!.

Bijao Beach Resort: Great spot

Clean hotel with friendly staff. Bar service was great. Buffet was good. My only beef was the constant very loud music in the pool area - from morning to night. As a result we spent most of our time at the beach where it was a less noisy. Also after dinner they have a nightly show in the courtyard which faces most rooms. If you don't want to hear loud music until 11pm or so I'd suggest you not get an oceanview room, ask for a room not facing the courtyard. Riu Playa Blanca: Great quality resort!

This is a wonderful resort. The food is delicious, fresh, and lots of variety. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautiful. Loved the liquor dispenser in our room! The pool areas are awesome with lots of shady seats. Beach not so great but the pools more than make up for it! Staff are friendly and speedy. We had a great time!!

We like everything . We were so surprise how was well organized. Only was minus because hotel staff doesn't speak English or speak little. And there is not program on English language. But we start learn Spanish . Hola till next trip . Will be always with you . Thanks

Grand Decameron Panama: Very clean but....

I've never seen a cleaner resort. They are always scrubbing down the chairs and cleaning the floors. The food was hit and miss. If you want service in the buffet, just grab the water jug and they will come running to your table. The beach was beautiful to walk on, but the water is very wavy and has a STRONG undertow. This is not a beach for swimming. Both my sister and I got stung my jellyfish. Nice to see Panama, but wouldn't go back.

Grand Decameron Panama: good variety of restaurants, bars and pools

Lots to do everyday! Great pools, and a large variety of things to do plus all of the off site options. Beach is great for long walks as well Only 5 minutes from airport is something else to consider!

Riu Playa Blanca: awesome resort

The resort was beautiful, clean and just the right size. The staff were so nice espically Edurado in the sports bar his customer service is amazing. Pools were great , rooms very clean, checking was very fast, no beach too much under tow very disappointing in that not the fault of the resort.

Riu Playa Blanca: Wonderful experience

Fantastic time for the family. We enjoyed everything from the delicious food selections, to the staff, to the entertainment etc. The staff was especially great, always so quick to be sure that everyone's needs were attended to right away. The weather was nice and hot. The beach was also great. We spent lots of time swimming in both the ocean and the resort pools. Wonderful experience all around.

Grand Decameron Panama: Worst resort

Room amenities were lacking,every dinner meal you need to make a reservation including the buffets which took over an hour in line to make,cut up hot dogs and horrible chicken nuggets in breakfast buffet,majority of staff doesn't speak or try to speak English

Riu Playa Blanca: Riu Playa Blanca

Great people, extremely hot weather. Lack of washrooms around the resort. Knives are not sharp enough !! the food was great at all restaurants. Very clean on the resort. Not enough places to shop for souvenirs. Vendors on the beach are great to deal with. Not enough shade, with the palm trees being so young. Not enough umbrellas. Great drinks thru out.(alcohol mixed). Very safe. Airport is 5 minutes from new airport. Pools get very warm very quickly. Pacific ocean was warm too !!

Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort

Beautiful resort kept very clean by friendly staff. Food was excellent. Room was nice and spacious with clear view of grounds and beach. Couldn't have ordered better weather with not a drop of rain. Hot, hot, hot!

Grand Decameron Panama: Beautiful beach and golf course!

This was our 2nd time at the Royal Decameron and we were not disappointed. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The food was amazing! Staff are friendly and very helpful. Any issues we had were minor and we overlooked them. Yes there is a lot of walking and a lot of stairs - this is not a bad thing - the exercise is good for you after indulging at the buffet and unlimited drinks. I don't know why people complain about this resort - they must be hard to ple [... read more]ase and very picky! The only we didn't like was that the golf used to be included in the price and now the golf is extra and you need to buy the package. It was still a great deal though. We will definitely be returning.

Very large hotel lots of walking which we didn't mind. Staff friendly but very little englishspeaking. Rooms were dirty we stepped on shards of glass twice in our room. You get what you pay for. Very out of the way

This was our 2nd trip to royal decameron panama..grounds beautiful and clean..food so so. .not as good as last time ..staff..exceptional in most AL a carte .not so good anywhere else...if AL a carte ..servers can do English why can't buffet staff..not many will acknowledge your presence unless spoken to...had to ask for coffee most days..felt very ignored..pool staff were the best..fun and entertaining.. staff including management need to acknowledge their guests while walking around resort..we  [... read more]found if we did not say hello first..no one except pool and maintenance staff spoke first..to management...many of you standing around talking in different areas not acknowledging your quests. Shame on you..we as guests are the ones keeping you open...buffets need needing to keep birds out..many few in at breakfast and staff just laughed. .landing on people's plates or were just be a nuisance..this is a major health and cleanliness violation...I worked in people service all my life..food..bar..weddings..special receptions...if we acted like the majority of your staff do including yourselves..we would have been fired..we will return but only for the sun and the accommodation. .maids were wonderful..just remember...if you don't have guests coming back you won't have a hotel..don't turn your back on English speaking countries. .I'm proud to be a Canadian but I'm not french ...

Riu Playa Blanca: Wonderful experience

This was the first all inclusive we have experienced, however it was more than we expected. The staff at the Riu was absolutely wonderful!!! The food was delicious with so many options to choose from. The entertainment was excellent. The nightly shows became a must on our "to do list" for each day. The scenery was great. The temperature was perfect. The excursions were also wonderful and we had 2 wonderful tour guides on our trips. Riu Playa Blanca: Fanama of Panama

Beautiful resort & very clean. Rooms were very nice & well stocked. Nice pools & loved the sparkling sand, even though it was extremely hot to walk on. If I had to make a suggestion, it would be to add a washroom near the pool bar.

The hotel and grounds were amazing. It was very clean and the staff were nice. The weather is hot and sunny every day and I mean hot!! The beach was nice looking, but of course you have the darker sand but there was a red flag up every day so you couldn't go in the ocean. There were alot of jelly fish, friends went on a banana boat and when they fell into the water, they were stung by jelly fish, they were all around them. We were a little bored as we like to keep busy. All in all, it was a good resort.

Westin Playa Bonita: A resort perfect for us

We loved this resort. The food at the buffet changed every day and it was always great. No issues with dirty water or washed vegetables. Staff were so welcoming and lovely. We felt truly at home for 7 days

Grand Decameron Panama: Royal Decameron - Panama - WoW!

The Royal Decameron Resort in Panama is a magnificent resort. Weather was very hot in February. We stayed in the Villa, near the golf course. Rooms was small but adequate for the vacation. Clean and well kept. Everything about the resort, was very enjoyable. It is a very big resort so be prepared to do a lot of walking. They do have a shuttle service that you can get at any of the 3 lobbies to take you around and shorten your walking but the walk is relaxing. Free Wifi is also available in all t [... read more]hree lobbies, slow sometimes but it works. The 10 restaurants have a large varieties of delicious foods. You have buffets for breakfast and lunch in the main restaurants, just walk up and enjoy. For dinner you need to make reservations at the restaurant of your choice. You can reserve for up to 3 days ahead at any of the 10 restaurants but you nee dto book early to get the time you want. There are some small issues with language, not everyone speaks English, but in the end the message always got across. The 2 pools are very big and inviting. They also have 2 smaller pools, including one adult only pool. The beach is also right there if you want the ocean. Swimming in the ocean wasn't possible due to large undercurrents and jelly fish. At night there are several things to do. There is a show on the main stage every night, plus smaller things throughout the resort, movies, musical performers, etc. Good for all ages but perfect for adults. The resort also have an amazing golf course...MantaRaya. Book in advance through your travel agent to get the best deals...and you can set your tee times in advance through email directly with the course. Overall great place, very safe and reasonably priced. You won't be disappointed. Loved it.
