no problems from the reservation to the shuttle to anything at all ,this was my fourth or fifth time with Trip Central and for the same price i would leave another week right now! great beach ,okay food

Memories Jibacoa: Wonderful!

Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation! Fabulous snorkelling on your very own reef, beautiful beach, lush grounds, and surrounding mountains. Truly, the best bread products of any resorts I have ever been to in 6 pre-Covid trips. Egg to order, fresh fruit, fresh fish grilled for you, plenty of choice, no complaints. Grand Memories Holguin: Another Sunwing disaster!!

it was new ,clean but staff were mostly just out of high school very poorly trained with little initiative,very little engish spoken ,so called butler service was little more than a customer service rep,adult side was very noisy at night and there were still many kids in rooms , beach was a 3 at best very windy in the afternoon, so called sanctuary pool was no sanctuary, ignorant people blast there own personal "ghetto blasters" all afternoon there is no peace,food buffet was small and other on [... read more]e was closed very little choice , this is a sunwing managed property and is run as poorly as their company is we were all stranded at the airport for our return trip, got home a day late never again will I use sunwing!!

Grand Memories Holguin: Wonderful Time in Cuba

The Staff at this resort are amazing, from the Managers Yosbel and Jorge as well as all the cleaning, wait, bar and maintenance are all fantastic people. We had such a good time with them all. The resort is a good distance from the airport but the ride was interesting and fun. Luis (the chef) made sure that the food here was always better that we expected, with good selections and tastes. The beach has beautiful white sand and the water is calm and shallow (perfect for wading in with a cool Mojito). All in all we had a wonderful time at this resort and would not hesitate recommending it or returning to it.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great vacation - stunning beach!

This resort has by far the best beach of any resort I've ever been to! The water is crystal clear and the water is quite shallow allowing for long walks and good swimming - and seeing some lovely star fish, trumpet fish and even a barracuda or 2. This was our first time in Cayo Coco and we'll definitely be back. The resort is older, but well maintained. The food was good, well prepared and a good selection too - especially the fruit - mango and guava were in season and pretty perfect. Pizza at the beach, poutine at the poolside snack bar and really good cappuccino and espresso martini's at the lobby bar. Our room was lovely, especially the close proximity to the beach and the outdoor shower. We went in June, which is rainy season so the mosquitos and fly's were pretty bad - but there is a lagoon on the property, lots of foliage - we will return, but not during rainy season. They have a pelican on property - Fico and it was a joy finding Fico at the beach, at the pool and every night by the entrance to the buffet - the hotel staff do feed Fico fresh fish daily and he's well cared for. Overall a great experience. Our room had water refilled daily, fresh towels daily. The staff really did go out of their way to make us feel welcome and appreciated.

Memories Jibacoa: Beautiful resort!

I found the grounds to be very well maintained, picturesque and lush. Nice quiet, safe resort for a peaceful vacation. There was a high level of cleaning and disinfecting apparent. Staff in the dining areas were wearing masks and gloves. Food was delicious with lots of choices daily. The staff was friendly and very polite. The beach was amazing for walking, swimming, snorkelling and spectacular sunsets. Lots of live music to enjoy every evening. I would definitely return to this resort.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fantastic as always and improving

Just returned from our 8th stay since Covid restrictions lifted. We go diamond club which I recommend especially if you have a later flight and enjoy a few extras. We did notice any shortages to speak of this trip. Everyone from reception, lobby bar, buffet, snack bar and diamond club areas were fantastic. We only ate at the buffet twice and no complaints. Diamond club restaurant breakfast and dinner were excellent. Not many changes in the menu but that doesn't bother us at all. We stayed in an [... read more] Al Fresco suite, our favorite with the outdoor shower. Comfortable with lots of room. There is also a new manager since our last visit, Iago, and I will say that he is taking the hotel in the right direction. The changes he's implementing are noticeable and making a difference. We look forward to returning again soon.

Grand Memories Holguin: Great resort, new, modern, luxurious

Beautiful rooms, excellent service, well kept grounds, premium beach, kind compassionate stuff, well served food with decent variety, definitely one of our best vacation spots. The only downside is the 1h44m ride from the airport, but it’s absolutely worth it as it does have the 5-star vacation feeling.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

This our second visit to this resort this year. The first time we stayed in a standard room, had no issues what so ever. Last week when we went for the second time we booked a junior suite. Absolutely loved it, room was clean, air conditioner worked great, had tons of hot water and loved the outdoor shower. The soup are for sure worth trying ! When at the resort you must go to Beans & see Yusmilba!! She is amazing , she has such a warm personality & so friendly. Her creations on your coffee are beautiful. The Ice cream is also a must !! The resort has a new general manager Iago Cela & is very welcoming & we seen him several times throughout our stay wanted to make our holiday was going as expected. The staff at the resort were all willing to please. Will for sure be returning again

Memories Jibacoa: A great adult only resort to stay in Cuba.

The snorkeling is excellent! Beautiful coral reef right there! Beautiful beach! Not a party resort. Very enjoyable. The staff are wonderful! Very friendly, welcoming people. Lots of fun games and activities. The shows at night are fabulous. Very professional! The grounds are well kept. The rooms are clean. Not a super modern resort but very pleasant. Well cared for. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: AMAZING RESORT

We were a party of 8 from May 20-27,2023 This resort exceeded our expectations. Check in was quick and easy. Our butler’s Norvi & Jose were top notch & were always available to answer questions and help us find everything we needed. The staff were all amazing, kind and friendly as per everywhere we’ve been in Cuba. Recommended drinks at the Rumba: Spanish Coffee, Mojitos, Ice coffees, Coffee Martini, Pineapple Daquari, Sex on the Beach, Rum and Coke & Crystal beer. They did have vodka when we were there. All the bartenders were amazing and will make you pretty much whatever you want you may just have to give them the recipe. Special shout out to our bartenders Leo & Amanda we love you ♥️ We ate most evenings at the Sanctuary’s a la cart enjoyed the food was quite flavourful, this needs to be booked in advance so recommend if you have a specific time you like to eat to do this upon arrival with your butler. Breakfast and lunch are available everyday at the a la carte(no reservation needed)as well and was pretty good. My husband and I like our omelettes loaded though so we ate at the Grand Memories Buffet 5 out of 7 days as the Sanctuary A la Carte only offered ham, cheese and green pepper omelettes. Everything else at the a la carte was good, they had menu service and a small buffet with breads, plum marmalade, yogurt, cereal & tropical fruit. We also ate at the Santuary a la carte twice for lunch and the food was good. We ate 5 out of 7 days at the Grand Memories buffet as well for the variety. They had ham fried rice one day and I highly recommend it if you come across it being served! The Sanctuary also has a snack shack attached to the Rumba & Ala carte building outside at the right hand end, drinks were good and they had hamburgers(pork), the best fries and 2 days they had a chicken salad sandwich available. We talked to another couple that would order fries at the snack shack and take them down to the BBQ(only available at lunchtime)beside the beach bar(highly recommend) where they would load up on whatever protein was being made usually pork but delicious. There is also a snack shack at the Grand Memories by the pool, it was ok and a buffet style snack shack closer to their beach. I didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on the food but I do believe there was live entertainment most days. We ate at the Grand Memories Asian and Italian a la cartes the Asian was very good and the Italian was ok. The Beach: AMAZING as always!!! We had green flag everyday the water was calmest in the morning and just small waves in the afternoons crystal clear and gorgeous. We got to the beach every morning around 8 to 8:30 and were able to get 8 chairs together with shade. The beach staff were amazing, one fellow offered waiter services(wish I would have caught his name) he was friendly and quick!! It is a quieter beach you can faintly hear the music from the resorts near by. We had our portable speaker and played our own music. The only con for the beach was the sand was extremely hot so make sure to keep your footwear on to get to your chairs we love to walk on the beach so we walked barefoot along the ocean edge where the water cooled the sand. We spend 2 afternoons at the Grand Memories swim up bar pool and had a great time, drink recommend: Blue Diamond(pineapple juice rum and blue curacoa. We spent 1 afternoon at the Sanctuary pool only downfall was the lack of shade. All pools were very clean everyday!! We tried to take in the Grease show at the Grand Memories theatre but it is an open air theatre with only one opening, no breeze and no AC the performance was amazing as per usual but we had to leave due to overheating. We took in the Disco one night located past the theatre. We had lots of fun great music and lots of dancing. The Grand Memories does have a little shop(not always open) with Rum, Cigars, Cigarettes and typical souvenirs but be prepared the souvenirs are quite expensive compared to the cute little market shops located by the Grand Memories swim up pool and on the other side of the path as well and another just down from the beach buffet I believe there were 6 booths all together. The rooms were always clean and the AC worked quite well(needed the extra blankets located in the closets) The safe worked great. There was an iron and ironing board in the closet but I never tried them. I tried the hair dryer but it was quite rattley and gave off a burning smell so I usually gave myself enough time before dinner to air dry my hair, nothing a quick step out into the balcony didn’t solve lol. So I recommend bringing a converter plug and your own hair dryer if you like to blow dry your hair, be prepared though that you may still need to only use the low setting so you don’t overheat your hairdryer. We recommend using the shower in the tub(worked great) as the other shower will flood your bathroom and entrance. We always had at least 1 towel some days 2 and one day 3. If all else fails you do get 2 beach towels. We had a hand towel but used it for a bath mat. We always had 2 rolls of toilet paper but were prepared with travel packs of Kleenex (easier to pack) just in case. I kept the Kleenex in my purse and beach bag for the washrooms on the resort also just in case(needed a couple times) We always had 2 bottles of water. Our fridge had 1 bottle of coke and 2 cans of Crystal upon arrival we did not drink them so they didn’t restock those items. I would absolutely go back to the Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero. Grand Memories Santa Maria: Nice resort, excellent beach.

Designed for 5 stars resort, the gardens are beautiful, with tall imperial palms and plenty of flowering bushes. It is easy to move around with the electric carts. Rooms are clean, with no bugs, but may need some TLC. We had a pool view room with two beds, quite large. The CORALAND Music Festival happened during our stay. Nicely organized, in the evenings on the beach, with food and drinks, and also pool parties during the day. We had the Diamond Club bracelets with free access to the festiv [... read more]al. No one talks about Covid 19, pool is clean, and we drank water only from the bars or restaurants. We did not get sick or anything. On the weekend the resort was full of people, probably locals.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Average resort

My wife and I are not the type of people that complain, in fact, we are the people that make fun of people that complain. I will start with the good. The beach is world class, fantastic out of this world. The hotel is in desperate need of renovations. At least the room we stayed at in Unit 1 does. I could not even open the balcony door because the door was not working properly. The power went out almost every night for an hour. As someone using a CPAP, this is a big problem. The shower [... read more] had zero pressure. We opted for Diamond Club in hopes of avoiding some of these issues. No such luck. The food was typical Cuban food. Nothing more, nothing less. For those of you that are thinking that you will just have a Hamburger, Hot Dog or Pizza in the event that you don't like the food, Forget it, they had none of those options. We had one of our waiters in the Diamond Club restaurant that brought sugar from his house for the guests because they ran out for the coffees in the morning. The shortages were more apparent with the alcohol. No vodka the entire week, No wine most days except in the dining room, Cristal on tap would often be missing forcing them to use canned beer, no ingredients for signature drinks like Mojitos most days. They have Rum and Whiskey. All of this to say that none of it is the employees fault. The staff was very apologetic and very nice. This would probably have been a pretty good vacation had the shortages not been so bad. We won't be returning to Cuba until they figure their economy out. Too bad because the beach and ocean at this resort was world class.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: My happy place

I am always amazed at how beautiful this resort it. The grounds are always so well kept. The service is second to none and the beaches are spectacular. Armando, Pablo, & Delvis are the absolute best at the pool bar. No shortages of anything that I could see.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Nice but needs better safety measurements

It was a beautiful beach and hotel and people were nice. However, i fell on my second night due to lack of lightning and safety signs.Medical attention was there but all i got was advice to get to town clinic. Now i am facing a long rehabilitation for my foot.

Memories Jibacoa: amazing resort

We had an amazing experience at Memories Jibacoa. The rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. All the food, buffet as well as a la carte restaurants were excellent. Found that there was tons of selection and variety in food. Lots of fruit, vegetables and main dishes to choose from. The beach was great and lots of chairs available at the beach. Pool was spotless. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful Beach!

Hello, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sanctuary Grand Memories, Santa Maria. So much so, we plan to go back there again. We even have our favorite room picked out. We loved that it was adult only. The beach was absolutely amazing, the staff were very friendly, efficient and hard working. There was a good choice of food and drinks and the market near the resort was a great place to shop. The negatives were: The fact that the food is not covered over so there are flies everywhere and I had a blackbird side swipe me on my head when I was sitting outside for breakfast. I do understand it's difficult for the hotel to do anything about this and that eating inside is an option of course. In the rooms, the bathtubs could use updating to walk-in showers. A couple of people almost fell stepping out over the tub. Also, the sink in the room smelled. We felt the music festival went on for too long, 4 nights while we were there, same music more geared to young people. Would prefer to see more stage entertainment. Also, there were a couple of workers who we found upsetting. We don't know names. One day when walking to get breakfast at the buffet at Sanctuary, a chef on the breakfast bar was yelling at one of the waitresses. That should never happen in front of customers and other staff. Also, one at the female bartenders at Sanctuary told the male bartender serving us to give my boyfriend rum when he requested brandy. My boyfriend got his brandy.

We enjoyed staying at the resort as all the staff were courteous & professional. There were many issues that need to change to make it worth returning for: 1. No bottled water in room for the first 24 hours. 2. The mosquitoes ate me alive all week in the lobby/bar area, morning, noon, night. I was totally covered by the end of the week. 3. Phone in room did not work all week & had to walk to lobby for any issues or requests…no room service… 4. No consistent hot water in bathroom. 5. It  [... read more]was very, very difficult to set up our 3 “a-la-carte” dinners as there weren’t many open availability. 6. Diamond Club “a-la-carte” dinner availability also almost non-existent. 7. Buffet was good except for all the flys. 8. All “a-la-carte” dinner food same as what is available in buffet…nothing different other than good service. 9. Ice cream very good but other desserts almost non existent. 10. Drink selection limited as they only had rum, whiskey, wine or beer. No light beer, vodka, gin or diet drinks available. 11. No wifi in room

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: It could have been perfect.

The following statements reflect solely my personal viewpoint. Nice hotel, great beach, good food, OK drinks, and a fantastic staff. And tons of mosquitoes and sandflies. In spite of very unpleasant gaseous mixture, which is sprayed twice daily around the hotel by fogger machine, they just eat you alive. Alongside this nuisance, the non-stop, excessively loud music emanating from speakers situated in every bar, restaurant, poolside, beach area, and even from the personal speakers of wait staf [... read more]f and tourists proved impossible to escape, even during the night when poolside revelers were present. If you can tolerate these inconveniences, you will undeniably adore this resort. I am not coming back.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Cheap & Cheerful

The customer service is good. You won't starve. There will be temporary food shortages such as coffee or drinks or bread. The beach is absolutely beautiful. The staff really try to accommodate & give their best. The hotel is run down & not the cleanest. But, the staff & beach make up for it. Diamond Plus package will ensure you get a clean, updated room. This place is worth a visit if you pay max $750 per week. Activities are good, the staff plan well to entertain the guests.
