Melia Cayo Coco: Wouldn't think of going anywhere else!!!

10th time there, as always we had a wonderful trip. Staff is amazing, service is great, always clean. Food is very good, our favorite is the beach restaurant. Giselle is one of the servicer, she always has a hug for us.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: 4th visit and still amazing

Thr resort is gorgeous, clean, easy to get around and filled with lovely tropical plants. The food is plentiful, varied, hot and tasty. We ate every meal except one at the buffet because we found between it and the snack bar our appetites were satisfied. The rooms are large and clean. The a.c. is quiet and works great. Lots of hot water and good pressure. Any problem with anything?? Just call and it'll be solved quickly. The staff can't do enough for you. We have stayed at Memories 4 times now a [... read more]nd we're not done. They welcome us "home" with open arms and go above board every time we have visited. You can't go wrong with Memories.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Just ok

I know that in Cuba you can't expect the best! The food was very average to poor. I couldn't eat the hamburgers at the snack bar as they were digusting. The pizza was below average but edible. The buffet was better for lunch and breakfast but dinner was ok. You could find things to eat but not the best. The rooms were very tired looking. The curtains and the bed spread need to be changed. Ewww! The people were amazing as they usually are in Cuba. The staff were friendly and helpful and always smiling! The check in and check out was the best I've ever encountered. The automatic booking of the a la cartes was quite a bonus. No line ups to do that job! I would not go back to this resort even though the price was amazing. There are always others to explore that are better! If you like a face cloth you had better bring your own as they just do not have them. The beach was okay, just average in my books.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Great Beach and ocean

Great Beach and Ocean. Great staff and entertainment team! Good value for the money. Food at the restaurants could be improved, since buffer is better option. Great resort for kids as well as the kids clubs is superb and shows in the evenings are just spectacular!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good

The check-in was very quick. I had not problems leaving my password at the reception desk while I was gone to check my room. Most of the travelers did not want to leave their passports at the reception. We requested a room with king size bed and we got one after 2 nights. No problems as we understood that the resort was full. The food was good at the buffet and very good at the Asian a la carte. The lobby bar was nice and I was able to get a variety of quality drinks. The night shows were excell [... read more]ent. The kids evening shows were amazing. My daughter played and danced every night on the theater's stage. The only problem is the beach. Is not wide enough. The guys in charge with the beach-volley are amazing. I will probably go back but in the spring-summer time. This time of year (December) the wind was pretty intense. Overall was good.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Satisfactory

Satisfactory but not a 4 star, food selection very minimal, service not very helpful or accommodating. Beach front not clean and walkway to beach was not functional and very dangerous to walk to beach and beach bar.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Great Vacation!

Traveled to Gran Caribe Club Cayo Guillermo Nov 22/14(14days) Will always Love Cuba! This is a very relaxing vacation, the most Beautiful Beaches in the world! The people are so happy to see you! You can not compare Cuba to other distinations, you go on holidays to enjoy the beach,sand,sun and most of all the culture. I go on vacation to do just that. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice Resort

Excellent location, close to water, currently rooms under renovation. Service was good, friendly staff through out the resort. Windy conditions for the week I stayed which dumped a lot of sea weed on the beach, no big deal, better then snow.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Staff

The resort was nice and small. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The rooms are pretty basic and the food is typical for Cuba. Beautiful beaches and clean pools. Really close to the airport so short drive. It's good for how much you pay.

Melia Cayo Coco: A Great Second Visit

We have just returned from our second trip to the Melia. We stayed Nov 29 – Dec 6 and again, had a fantastic time. The reason we came back to the Melia is the staff. They are truly the reason this resort is so popular. Their professionalism and friendliness match the best anywhere in the world. They are the true ambassadors of the Melia Cayo Coco. We had emailed Gippsy two weeks prior to our arrival, asking for a room in block 86 or 87 and sure enough we were assigned room 8724. Thank you Gip [... read more]psy. However, there was a problem and the room wouldn’t be ready for quite some time so we were asked if a room in block 89 would be ok. Bonus. Just as good. There were a couple of minor problems that were very quickly taken care of but they never could get the fan speed on the air-conditioned turned down. It was stuck on high which was noisy but luckily it cooled off in the evenings so we really didn’t need it on. We were in 8611 last year and this room, 8913, was pretty much the same except it had been freshly painted, had a flat screen TV, a canopy bed and updated bedspread and curtains. Furniture and bathroom were the same. Very clean and well taken care of each day. My kudo’s to the housekeeping staff. The buffet had the same high standards as it did last year. Lots of choices every day. Fresh omelets in the morning were a favorite and the pasta bar and the evening ‘Theme” meals were delicious. Lots of salad selections and the same fantastic deserts. Osvaldo and Yennifer took great care of us all week. Lunch at the beach BBQ was equally good. Grilled chicken, pork and ribs, as well as fresh fish and kabobs that the chef will cook for you. We only went to the Italian a la carte this trip and it was very good. All the bars have great service. We hung around the lobby bar the most. It was so nice to meet up with Yeni again. She is such a sweet heart and took great care of us. As did Aldo, Livan and Arley. Excellent service. The beach has lots of palapas and loungers, and it’s never a problem getting shade. When the tide comes in it gets quite narrow but there is still room to walk. Not really a problem. . We are not really pool people, but it was pretty windy at the beginning of the week and we found getting a lounger there was impossible. We would go through the pool area on our way to the lobby at around 7:30 and every lounger was taken by a towel. And almost half of them remained empty until late afternoon. This changed on the Wednesday and we didn’t have a problem after that, but there were still many that were claimed by towels all day long, but no one ever used them. As always, we took mosquito repellent but never used it. We didn't see a bug the whole time we were there. It was pretty breezy the whole week so I guess that is what kept them away. We had a great second visit and from the moment we arrived, the staff and management at the Melia were so helpful and friendly they couldn't do enough for us. It was sad to leave. Tryp Cayo Coco: High & Low Season thats matter

Okay let me give the honest Review! After being visiting 45 countries my review on Tryp Cayo Coco Hotel. Food was good specially the sea food, like this hotel had crabs too, where some others hotel dont even have it even they are more stars rated ,but I fail to understand even when the rooms occupancy above 75% yet the food shortage was their likefor e.g the shrimps only those people would get at the BBQ If you are their at the very first hour of the dinner. Room toilet sucked the commode was working but dint have enough speed to flash the out put down lol I hope you got it what i mean, it was disgusting to see the thingy Floating . Night entertainers need more energy while performing. The money one pays in a high season I think its bit unfair but yes!it worth the price on a low season worth the money. ALL I WANT TO SAY I RESPECT THE HARD WORK AND THE EFFORTS THE CUBAN PEOPLE PUT !!THAT'S MAKE THE MAGIC WORKS!!

Hotel Camino del Mar: 2nd visit!!

All in all the resort is fantastic. Beautiful beach, nice grounds, comfortable room and of course wonderful staff through and through. Other than some minor maintenace and upkeep, it's still a great place and definitely great bang for your buck

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Lovely resort!

We stayed here from 20-27th November. This was our 17th time in Cuba, 1st time in Memories. The staff and management at Memories are amazing, from the servers to bartenders and lovely ladies who clean the rooms, everyone deserves a big “Thank you”. You are all lovely, polite and professional; if more people in this world were like the Cubans there would be less trouble. The food is excellent; you won’t go hungry at this resort. We really enjoyed the fish in Asian restaurant; sushi appetizer was as good as in some specialty restaurants in Toronto. The 24 hrs snack bar was excellent as well. The beach grill which serves lunches only was also good, Mikel does wonderful job there, always greets you with big smile. Please don’t consider the bad comments about food from negative people, we experienced this all and nothing is true about the bad food, our advice to negative people is - pay big $$$ and take a cruise to have world class food and restaurant and don’t complain! The beach is OK, not the greatest in Cuba. We stayed in Diamond Club in a separate area, which we had fast service, Yosmel is super server, very professional and nice men. He did take a good care of us, and we want to say Thanks Yosmel, keep doing great job. The hotel, rooms and gardens are very well maintained. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Time!!!

Overall it was a great vacation. The resort was great and the staff were very friendly, especially Israel in the snack bar. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and being able to walk on the sand dunes was amazing. We saw many animals just walking the dunes. My only complaint was it was so windy everyday. It wasn't just a breeze but a strong wind that was actually cold.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Hotel colonial Cayo coco

The staff were friendly and fun. The snack bar and doughnut staff were amazing the disco needs to play more English music to engage clients. Dancing entertainment was ok Rooms were big enough however bathrooms need doors. In your room. Did not see staff at pool or beach bringing you drinks. We always had to go and get other ourselves. At this resort it was GREAT value for our money And would recommend this place to all friends and family. Who are looking to get away. You could do as much or as l [... read more]ittle as you liked. Hotel Playa Paraiso: nice

very clean always kept up, nice beach ,over the top on staff and cleanliness, only one toaster for the whole resort very slow, powdered mild no cream for coffee, pasta in buffet had NO flavour, seperate restaurants excellent food rooms great

This resort is very clean, beautifull, employees makes this resort more fun with their smile and good humour,will go back for sure , been there 6times New orientate restaurant is excellent. Beach is clean and love the diamond club worth every penny.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort, Amazing Beaches!

We stayed in Memories Caribe from Nov 27 - Dec 7. Grounds: Very well kept, there is always someone looking after something. The staff we're very hard working and pleasant. The maintenance was great. It's not your Donald Trump hotel, and I hope you don't have the expectations of one. Entertainment: The staff were great in keeping the guests busy, especially children. If you're travelling with kids, they have tons of games for the kids to play whether it's on the beach or near the pool. The only [... read more] tip I'd give for the entertainment crew is to have more games in the pool, such as water basketball, water soccer, more volleyball games. It seemed the crew didn't want to get in the water (could've been too cold for them as it IS winter for them right now). I would've liked to see more games for the adults. Service: The service was great, the workers are very nice and hardworking. We tip all the time, so that may have had something to do with the extra great service we got. :) Food: I'm not a picky eater, the food was great for me. I've travelled to Mexico, Honduras, Spain, Dominican etc and I know what else is out there. The food in Cuba is fresh, the selection is not as wide but it worked for me. Fresh fish, calamari, pasta, etc can't go wrong! Beaches: Paradise, amazing beaches, very heavenly. The water receded in the morning and a path opened up in the middle to walk on. My favourite part. Rooms: The rooms are a little outdated. We didn't really care because we we're hardly in the rooms and it's not a deal breaker for me. The overall cleanliness was great, just the tv (90s) and the bathroom were all outdated and needed a fresh new look. Overall I would give this hotel a strong 4. You can really feel the management presence, the managers were always there looking over what's going on and ready to help.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Wonderfful

The staff are amazing! Everything was just perfect. Rooms are nice and clean, grounds are meticulously kept. Food is good, there is always something very good from the individual stations; fish,pasta. The band at night (Anthony) was great!

Awesome place. Not a huge party. Fun but mellow. Beautiful beach. Staff is 10/10. Food was good. Old time feel. Rooms were spacious and modern with antiquated feel. Clean as a whip. No bugs. Great pools. Gym sucks. Overall was fantastic. :)
