Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Value!

This is a great resort, they have everything you need in one complex. The Food, Pool, Beach, and Service were all excellent. The pool by the beach gets extremely busy, so best to go early if you want a chair. Also watch out for the vendors on the beach.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Awesome resort

Excellent service! Room was nice and big very clean. Food was good and always available! Would definitely go back! Our butler Henry was very helpful! Lots of things to do! Gym is very nice 👍 Nice coffee shop also!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Excellent resort

Food was awesome. Suggest you do not go to the Seafood night at the Buffett - not well afterwards- but all the other days and food was excellent. Excellent wifi coverage (even spots on the beach - for free!) great entertainment and staff. Even though it is a large resort it didn’t feel crowded. You will need to walk quite a bit - but there are trolleys available if you are patient. We were in the adult only section (Ambar Green/Blue - recommend Green as the rooms were recently renovated- see  [... read more]if you can get rooms on the pool side - as the other side can be noisy (next to the staff entrance of a different resort).

Exceptional service and great food. Easy access to all services.The rooms were clean, food was great. Beach and pools were easily accessible. There was always someone available for help if you needed one.

Punta Cana Princess: punta cana priness via sunwing

the resort is really nice and clean well set up the staff is very friendly in particular a very up beat cheerful young lady named grey she was awesome the only draw back was the bed was very uncomfortable the bed sheet kept coming off back was soar next day patio, chairs were cheap plastic on our balcony, during a heavy rain fall one night the roof leaked maintenance was slow coming and even then all they did was mop it up. all in all the resort was excellent. the punta cana airport is a di [... read more]saster 4 different check points and then we had to wait for a bus to take us approximately 200 feet to the plane .

Riu Palace Macao: Great Staff, good food, incredible social atmosphere

The Sun Wing staff was great on both flights despite a bit of a delay getting out of Punta Cana. We were placed in rooms immediately (traveling with another couple) both rooms had air conditioning that did not work, we asked for a room change the best Tiu staff could offer was an upgrade at 8400.00 Dominican dollars each and the staff insisted that it had to be in cash, I have to suspect that the management there split the money among them or we could have paid with a credit card. The food was [... read more] good in the buffet and fantastic in the ala carte although the Kabuki was not the greatest although the head waiter Medeiros was energetic and comical. The room was cleaned regularly we were always offered extra towels and our bed was always turned down when we returned from evening activities. Drinks were served at the beach, around the pool, and on the patio the service was incredible. The pool bar was lots of fun with Virgilio, Smarlin being at the ready at all times, no one solicited tips but due the great service they were happily given. The entertainment was good take the time to attend the shows. The activities staff were great, Any, Chili, Eddie Spaghetti, were just a few they were all great. I like the fact that this resort seems to have centralized the activities so that everyone has the chance for involvement.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Just Alright....

There is nothing wrong with this resort, but it was just ok. It doesn’t deserve its 5-star luxury designation as there is nothing luxurious about it. In comparison to other 5-stars, this one is a 4 at best. The friendliness of the staff was hit and miss, the food was pretty good in general, but the hotel was not kept clean (especially the washrooms), there was no attention to detail in terms of the grounds, and simple things like linen dinner napkins were not provided. Instead they provided a [... read more] Kleenex tissue. Not a big deal, but also not luxurious. If we had never been anywhere else, this place would have been awesome, but unfortunately, it doesn’t measure up to its superior competition. However, the house-keeping was fantastic - best we’ve ever had. We never laid eyes on our housekeeper but she/he was always there early and did a great job. Our Diamond Club butler was also very accommodating and friendly. Lastly, if you are a smoker, you will fit right in here! There are smokers everywhere! And unfortunately there was not designated smoking areas, so we often had to deal with a smokey lobby bar, or pool-side chair. Speaking of pool-side chairs, make sure you save one by 6:30am. P.S. the fitness centre was pretty well equipped with Olympic bars and a rig. It was a pleasant surprise.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Lovely resort

The beach was beautiful, the food very good. We ate at the Miramar buffet for most of our breakfasts and lunches. Very nice selection, fruit wonderful and the omelets superb. Our waitress, Analy was marvelous and kept us in champagne every morning. We discovered the Adults Only pool and bar called "El Cielo" with its spouting frogs. Great spot ! Now Garden Punta Cana: Nice Resort

The resort was clean and quiet so relaxing was easy. The Now Garden is a short trolley ride away from the Now Larimar which is the large resort and has all the activities for the complex. The Now Garden it self has a buffet breakfast ,no lunch or supper buffet unless you go to the Now Larimar .The snack bar by the pool was good but the same everyday. The lobby at the Now Garden is very small and also quiet. The rooms were a little dated and lacked storage space, but the swim out was great. Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Fantastic staff and well run resort.

My first contact at Sunscape was with Fabio De Leon, at the reception desk. Fabio was pleasant, courteous and efficient. He placed me in what I would consider a perfect room that was quiet and had a wonderful view. The rooms, including all the dining rooms, and washrooms were always immaculate. The cleaning staff does an excellent job. Staff in the dining rooms were efficient and very pleasant and accommodating, without exception. Perhaps my best experience was with the Activities Staff. W [... read more]hat a group of well trained, highly skilled, respecful and fun group of people. Hats off to their supervisors and to the staff, some of whom I will mention by name - Mommajuana, Tiger, Sexy Monki, Pokemon, King Kong, Chocolate, Super Jordan, Spaghetti, Willie Wonka as well as other staff whose names I am not as familiar with. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Sunscape Bavaro Beach.

Ocean Blue and Sand: A Great Resort!

Overall this resort was great value for money. We especially liked the restaurants and that you did not have to reserve. They were also located in one area of the resort which was very convenient. The Japanese restaurant did require reservations and was a fun experience. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Our room was in the original section and was average. I think the newer section would be more modern. Facecloths seem to be scarce and unless you requested 2 you  [... read more]only got one or none.... so pack a couple. Food was good at the buffet with lots of variety and everything was fresh . We love seafood but didn’t see a lot of shrimp and no calamari other then in a seafood stew.... we typically have had lots in other resorts. The entertainment staff were a lot of fun! We have travelled to the Caribbean for 20+ years and don’t typically return to the same resort twice but it’s not one I would say no to if the opportunity came up again.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Stay at one place, play at more!

My experience, awesome! There is so much to do. If you want to lay low, hang out by the beach, catch a show and turn in, you can or if you prefer to catch a couple of shows and go dance at yhe disco, you can. You have more than a few pools to choose from and you have many a la carte restaurants to choose from. Buffet also has different theme nights if you prefer not to make a reservation. The reservation part can be a little irritating if wifi doesn't kick in fast enough or if you are set on e [... read more]ating at a specific time. You can always make your way to the lobby during the day to make dinner reservations if you dont want to use the hotel webbapp. Food is great at the a la carte restaurants. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice and big, could use a bit of fixing ie chipped tile here and there (if you want to be super picky) but we didnt care too much about that. the beach and main lobby are all in walking distance. Entertainment is great. You get a great selection of premium alcohol all included, black label, jack daniels, bombay gin, frangelico to name a few. Overall I highly recommend this resort.

Punta Cana Princess: Amazing small resort

Everything great,food, pool, beach,entertainment, staff all very friendly, air condition worked well, lots hot water, Overall a very convenient resort. Everthing was close by. Very Quiet, a great place to relax.Service was excellent. Cant say enough about our bartender at the pool and our around the pool server Staff they made our stay even more special. The grounds are very well kept. Would definetely go back again.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Was good!

This wasn’t a bad vacation at all!! We enjoyed the food. Great variation at the buffet. If you are doing Japanese and expecting the knife show, it may be disappointing as they don’t ask you if this is something you would like to do and there is only two tables allowing this. Rooms were good but we were on the first floor and found it very damp in our room. We were in a good area. There was spring break kids near by but the resort was such that we could be around them if we wanted. One thing [... read more] I was very annoyed with was the constant badgering from the guys in the brown shirts to get us to go to speak to someone about time share. They said not a time share but it really is. Just a different way to look at it. We did finally go but read up on it and it’s now worth it. The resort should not allow them to be all over the resort as it is very upsetting having to deal with this from the beginning to the end of our trip. Other than that we were happy with our time spent there.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: A great time

We returned to the hotel and had a wonderful vacation at a. It could use a little TIC as it is starting to show its age, but aren't we all. We didn't get to all the Al carte restaurant however the ones we did eat at were fine. The staff as always was wpnderful. I just wish the staff had better English. Then again I should learn spanish

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: beautiful Resort

everything was amazing, the food was excellent, staff were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were kept in great shape. The shows were very entertaining as was the entertainment team. The beach is spectacular. our room 3407 was fully renovated and close to the main lobby. It is on the main walkway, but was very quiet. The only negative was having the vendors there on 2 nights.

Occidental Punta Cana: nice resort

hotel well maintained staff very friendly little bit of a line up at bars but not too bad food was quite good,always found something to eat beach does not have a lot of shade but wanted sun anyway room was renovated so very comfortable would go again

Occidental Caribe: Occidental caribe

Hotel was very clean , staff at the bar stations at the best of time was friendly and quick to serve drink . Speaciality restaurants were ok but the japenese was our favourite, the buffet was horrible and the food was not what we expected compared the the occidental we stayed at in Aruba . Definitely will not be my first choice again . You need more shaded area by the pool which was very clean

Secrets Royal Beach: Relaxing - Good and Bad

The hotel itself was nice and the rooms were fantastic, large, and clean. The staff was all around very friendly. I went solo as a woman (not single) so was looking for somewhere to feel safe and not bothered and this was a great place for that. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy but that’s out of control of the place. I’d say the biggest downfall was the food was gross. I’m not even a picky eater but it (all of it) was completely disgusting and it was pumped out like a factory. Nightlife was half decent and I liked the option to go over to the family hotel beside for more action.
