Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort

The resort was always clean and well maintained, the staff was always pleasant. Our room was musty, when we reported it they took care of it immediately. The food was wonderful, especially the Al la carts. Some of the pools need handrails for the elderly to get in and out.

Loved our room and how well it was kept during our stay. Food in all restaurants and buffets was excellent as was the service in all. Very high quality. This is the best resort we have stayed at. I would highly recommend it

Grand Riviera Princess: Would definitely return. Loved every minute of it

We stayed at the Riviera Princess All Suites from Apr 1-8, 2018. The grounds are spectacular, the staff in the buffets and restaurants were very friendly. The food was extremely well received by us. We had a swim up room and we basically spent all our pool time here. The resort held many pool events as well as bingo during the day. Musical entertainment in the evenings was very good. Loved the Jamaican band with Reggae music. The rooms are all suites. Very spacious and clean. There is a [... read more]n ice-cream parlour upstairs where the main lobby is. There is lots of activities for children to do if you have children. The beach area did have a lot of seaweed, but this would be caused from previous storms. We would definitely return to this resort. Next time we will try the Yucatan Princess which is an all adult area of this tremendous resort. We give the resort a 5 star.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Perfect Vacation

We arrived at the hotel Mid afternoon and were promptly greeted with champagne and cool towels. We stayed on the xhale club which was perfect for those wanting a quiet area. Loved every minute and would definitely return .

Barcelo Maya Grand Resort: Excellent resort!

This was our second trip to an all inclusive in the Riveria Maya and although we really enjoyed the first resort, we liked the Barcelo Maya Grand resort even better. The resort is really 5 hotels in one with multiple pools, 3 buffets, 3 theatres, about 5 ala carte restaurants, a mall area with bowling alley, shopping and miniature golf. Everything is connected by pathways and easily accessible on foot. Very long, beautiful beach area!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Really great place!

Was here for 7 days with a group of 8. Overall we had a great time. Couple downfalls were even with the seaweed issues the beach is rocky and service in the buffet is slow in terms of drinks and coffee. Best bet is to get someone's attention before you sit down. The food was delicious everywere we ate. Coffee at Mike's is awesome. The ice cream shop was a nice add. We watched most shows and again they were quite good! Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: THIRD TRIP TO RESORT

This resort is outstanding! our third year in a row to visit. The place is spotless inside and out. It has four fantastic pools, from ultra quiet to party pool. the shuttle service to the beach and other resorts is spot on little to no wait at all. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Total disapointment!

Very disappointed! We never got the room we paid for and were transferred to a different resort. Check-in time took three hours. When we finally got to our room, it was not ready. With three kids we had only two welcoming gifts. Room service is awful, and you don't get anything unless you pay a tip. Personnel barely speak or understand English. You can't swim in ocean as it has rocks and full of a sea weed. Free Wi-Fi only in lobby, if you want it in your room you have to pay extra. But food [... read more] is great and lots of booze. So, if you're looking to get drunk and stay by the pool all day this is the right place.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Terrible vacation!

Out of a group of eleven (11), eight (8) of us got food poisoning! This spread out over a vacation package of 7 days. Needles to say that 3 days out each meant we didn't get to enjoy ourselves and our company the way we had intended to. Staff was very good in dealing with us and bringing meals and extra water to rooms, however, it doesn't excuse the fact we all got violently ill over the food. First time I've had to write such a review. Very unfortunate!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Average Resort

This is the second time we have been to this resort. We found our first time to have been better due to it have been only open for 6mths This time , The food was good, you could always find something at the buffets, a la cartes were not bad we have had better. I would have to say the biggest thing ,this hotel needs to do is fix the main pool it lose tiles off the bottom every day. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful beach, pools, and great food!

The easy access to the beach was great, and it was nice to have opportunities to visit other areas of the Bahia Principe resort. Food was excellent and staff was always friendly. We would definitely return for another relaxing trip!

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Second Time as Good as the First!

We stayed at the Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort from March 14-21, 2018. This was our seventh visit to the Riviera Maya area and second to this resort. We stayed here in 2017 and fell in love with it. It is the only resort we have ever stayed at twice. We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and wanted some place special to celebrate. We looked and looked and just kept coming back to this place so we decided to book it. One quick call to Tanya and TripCentral and we were all [... read more] set up. We were definitely a little nervous about repeating a resort, scared that we might lose some of the ‘magic’. We shouldn’t have been, it was just as special as the first time. We arrived at around 3:00pm and were assigned room 4214. Great view, clean and well stocked. We moved to room 4307 (penthouse) on Friday. I had emailed in advance requesting building 2 or 3 and a corner room, knowing full well that not all requests can be granted. We were happy with building 4. It was quiet. No matter where you are nothing is that far away so building assignment is not that big of a deal. Families or mobility challenged folks may prefer building 1 or 2 for the location, but be mindful they are also where most of the activity and people traffic is. Ground floor rooms are true walkout, with a patio deck that extends out beyond the balcony area. Most first and second floor rooms have a great view. All rooms have an outdoor hot tub. The penthouse room has a fantastic view from the roof top and a balcony with 2 chairs and a table off the main floor as well. The hot tub is on the rooftop patio, placed perfectly for soaking and looking at the stars. There are two loungers and an umbrella as well. It would have been nice to have a little bistro set or something like that to have morning coffee at while watching the sunrise. All rooms have slippers, robes, lotion, shampoo, body wash, and a coffee maker (with supplies). The is also a bar fridge with four cans of pop, a few beer, water and snacks. If you want something specific restocked just leave a note inside the fridge and they will look after you. We also had lovely towel art every day this year. People always say ‘you don’t spend much time in the room’. I tend to disagree and believe having a room that is clean, well stocked and comfortable is very important. I injured my back two days before we left on our trip. One morning I just couldn’t move without pain so we filled the hot tub, ordered breakfast through room service (which was fantastic) and just chilled until the spasm relaxed. I was so thankful that we could do that. Another night, after a long day at Chichen Itza, I purchased a bottle of wine through the front desk, we retired to the room, ordered room service (again, excellent) and just enjoyed staring at the stars. Purchasing wine was very easy. Go to the front desk, look at the menu, order what you want and it is delivered to your room in an ice bucket. You pay for it at checkout. The buffet restaurant here is probably the best we have been to. Food was always hot, fresh and there was a wide variety of selections no matter what the meal. Never an empty pan or tray. They keep an eye on everything. The bacon here was cooked so perfectly, we commented on it many days. Service was great, never a wait for anything and when tables were scarce (busy times) someone was there to help you in a flash. Snack bar staff is so great. I missed his name but the older fellow there is amazing, just couldn’t do enough for everyone there. We only made it to twp of the a la cartes this year, the Gourmet and Mexican. We avoided both last year, because I am such a fussy eater, but I was able to view the menus before we arrived this year and figured we’d try the. Both were delicious. The gourmet served one of the best beef tenderloins I have ever had. The grounds are immaculate. Of course most people have probably heard that there is sargassum coming ashore right now. I can’t express enough how great a job the workers do at keeping the beach clean. Those workers, each and every one, deserves our thanks for doing such an exceptional job. There is another resort next door, and comparing the two was remarkable. That resort could learn something from the Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort. The beach is amazing, great for walking and exploring as well as snorkeling. There is no where you will walk where staff doesn’t have a friendly greeting or smile for you. Raul and all the rest of the front desk staff were so helpful. We sat down near the pop up beach bar when at the beach this year. Big thank you to Patricia, Clemente and Felipe for looking after us! That’s hard hot work and you guys make it look easy! Never had any issues finding a hut with chairs regardless of when we went. No, we never saved a chair all week. We did see a few saved, but unless you want a specific spot there is no reason to here. They do watch to make sure the chairs are being used, which I think is fantastic. Also, we saw no mosquito’s. I am allergic so I had everything packed and was pro-actively taking my meds. Never used my repellent lotions or anti inch once. What can I say about Oscar/Marvin/Yael, lol! He knows how to engage and look after guests. Thank you so much! And Luis, what can I say. The warmest welcome when you arrive and the biggest hug when you leave. The first and last face I saw, the same as last year. I smiled all the way to the airport because of both Luis and Oscar. There are just too many staff who make this experience special to mention them all. And this is an experience not just a holiday. I was so sad to leave, I wish we had booked 10 days. 7 was not enough. We booked two tours the Tim and Juan at the Tours and Excursion desk. We did Catamaya and the VIP Chichen Itza. Both excursions were great. Tim and Juan were so easy to deal with! Last but not least it was our great pleasure to have the opportunity to talk with Emanuele and Corinna. You should both be very proud of ABBWR and it’s staff. Looking very forward to a return trip!

Just returned from 7 days at Valentin. This was our 2nd time – last time was 4 years ago. Good news is that things have not changed much – they have done an excellent job keeping up with maintenance on rooms and grounds keeping is immaculate. We again had a golden swimup room, and I would highly recom [... read more]mend this option as well worth the price – it guarantees you 2 dedicated chaises next to lazy river, which means you don’t need to play the game of getting up early to “reserve” a chaise with shade by putting your towel on one – we witnessed people putting their towels on chaises at 6:30 am, then not showing up to actually use the chaises till noon! In my opinion, the only thing missing is a dedicated coffee bar to allow you to easily get a cup of coffee any time. Would definitely return.

Catalonia Yucatan: Not a four star experience!!

Start from the beginning.. check in was horrendous the staff was rude and they don’t give a care about customer service! This level of service would never be acceptable anywhere! They are so used to the complaints they don’t care! The first room had cracked tiles throughout , brown bath tub from wear, peeling paint and rock hard beds! We asked to speak with a manager about this horrible service and he wouldn’t come talk to us in person. We waited a day and a half, lots of lying and delays to get a half decent room. Positives: The service in the restaurants and bars were great, the room was clean, the food was good. The grounds are beautiful. Ideal location Cons: beach is very small, front desk horrible, pools small and cramped, not enough loungers, the rooms are very run down, segregated areas for privileged. Bad Management!! I wouldn’t return, three star room, four star resort prices! Too bad though it had potential and most of the staff was great!

Allegro Playacar: Absolutely incredible vacation

I cannot say enough about this resort!! The rooms were all kept the staff was fantastic! The resort was fulnyet still never Waite din line. The staff knew our names without having to tip excessively even though they deserved it. The beach is absolutely top notch. Who cares if there is not a dozen al la cate restaurants. Hotel Xcaret Mexico: beautiful and amazing resort

everything is very well kept,staff always there to help.restaurant near the actopus pool,saoul was the man.main pool, bartender luis and Rolando the best.the ocean beach was not long but water was very beautiful,clear.for snorqueling,reefs are just in front.you cannot imagine the time and work they must of put in this resort.nicely done hotel xcaret.i would go back in a heartbeat

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great Grand Oasis Tulum

I chose this place for relaxation base on the recommendation from a colleague of mine and today back to work I much appreciated her. I really could not see any point that I was not delighted or happy about. Above all the staff are great there; so friendly, tidy, sincere, caring and genuine. El Dorado Seaside Suites: El Dorado Seaside Suites

Resort overall was great. Excellent food and drinks as well as service but, will not return due to tablet being stolen from room. We had only been out of our room for about an hour and security said I would not get it back. Too bad because it was stolen day two of our trip.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Awesome Resort

We were in the Imperial Junior Suites Ocean Front (bldg 13). The room was always clean. The concierge Mauricio was always courteous & ensured our dinner reservations were made. Food was excellent & as privileged members we were entitled to have lobster every day. The staff was pleasant & the mini bar was always replenished with our favourite drinks.
