Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Amazing !!!

To be honest, I’m never a guy to like to review on hotels or staff, however, this hotel is beautiful, staff is amazing, food is good, entertainment vibe is wonderful. Staff on the beach are amazing. Ricardo, Ariel, Anyelo, Samuel, Wilken!!! Great people !

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort

The hotel is well maintained. Rooms were clean and the area well decorated and maintained. It deserves the 5 stars. Amenities and beach spots were amazing.bars and restaurants offered tasty meals and a variety of cuisines to choose from. The resort is fantastic

Riu Republica: Awesome Vacation

This is our 3rd time at this resort. It is very clean and spacious. The food was good and drinks as well. Plenty of options for both. As for the pools many options quiet , party pool and many activities. Hotel animators are very good as well especially Blondy69 and Manta. Sad not seeing Chanty because she always made you feel good and got you going. Beach is beautiful and clean as well. No complaints at all. Will go again for sure!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: excellent service

My husband, my father and myself made a trip there last week and would return again. We booked the punta cana royal garden section. My father had his own room and hubby and myself another. Knowing Dad was a solo act and 75 yrs old, they actually called him to make sure he was doing alright and didn't need any help. Staff came twice a day (once to clean the room and another for turn down service to tidy a bit, give chocolates and make sure things were alright). The only strange part was that at most resorts when I travel, rooms are done by 11:00 but here they were done by 3:00... so what? On arrival, the bellboys (or would that be bellmen?) were immediately there to offer direction with a smile and great english. For us, checking in was a separate room where the English was excellent and our numbers low. They explained everything and were available throughout our week to answer questions or address any concerns we had. As for the food, all was good. We were especially pleased with the Pescaro restaurant. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. All the restaurants were good, even the buffets. I am used to monotonous food at buffets but this was good stuff. Not gourmet but a wide range of options each meal. Yes it is a huge area with 5 resorts in one area but never did we have a problem finding a spot at the beach or the pool. Drinks were good and staff all over the resort were friendly from maids, cooks, reception, entertainment, bartenders, trolley drivers etc. No, not everyone spoke great English but they tried and they employ Hatians I believe, who speak fluent French if you would prefer. The only drawback we encountered was at the lobby store. The staff were uppity and wouldn't or couldn't speak English. We had a problem with a salesperson who would speak to coworkers but not myself in English or French,she rolled her eyes and was ignorant. We were lucky enough that our royal garden associate cleared up matters for us. All in all its a 8.5/10 for me and that's saying a lot. I would recommend for family, friends, large groups or small. There is something for everyone

Paradisus Punta Cana: Food was really bad

The resort overall was ok. we stayed there during March break 2018. The good stuff: The staff are nice and they did their best to keep us happy. Rooms are clean and spacious. Internet service was free and almost everywhere. The beach was clean and big. The bad stuff:1- the food was really really bad at this resort , their buffets are very lame and lack variety. If you like your food this is not your place. Even their a la carte resturants not that great. That was almost all of the people  [... read more]main comment about this resort. 2-too many sales people bugging you to buy trips to go off the resort , on the beach , and by the pool , they keep coming every day. 3- no hot tub in their rooms. Unless you get upgraded to Royal service then you will have one. We stayed in a cheaper resorts that had better food and hot tub in the room and same great service. I won’t be staying at this resort again .

Great rooms, food and service. . Poolside and nightly entertainment were a little weak. . Overall our trip was great because of the great service by all the staff especially Maria, Francis, & Yenny. . Am I at 200 yet?

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: A great time

this is our third time at this resort. a kids friendly place with decent food. The waterpark at Memories is just great to keep the kids entertained and the pool has nice activities. Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Diamond Club is recommended if you like to spend time at the beach as it has better sitting options and better quality drink choices. For pool only no need for Diamond club as it shares it with the rest of the resort.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Chic was exactly what we hoped for and MORE!

The hotel and resort was clean, variety of pools, beautiful beach and excellent food!!! We have travelled to BVI, Jamaica, Mexico, Cuba, and California and this was the best resort we have come across in years! We will definitely be back. The only criticism was the pressure to go on a tour for the Diamond Club. They said it was not a time share sell but it totally is. Be upfront and say NO...no matter how many times you are asked or gifts you are offered.

This resort is amazing. Very clean and beautiful rooms, immaculately kept grounds and pool, spectacular beach, great food, and entertainment. The resort staff were very friendly and always there to help in any way.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Majestic Punta Cana

We arrived to the Majestic colonial on time and were greeted with lots of happy smiles . We couldn’t however get into our room right away but that was OK because we were meeting up with a fantastic group of people from Australia and Canada for a wedding in two days. Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Great family vacation spot

This was our first family vacation to a sunny destination and it was wonderful. The weather was good most days with a bit of rain here and there. The resort staff was amazingly friendly, everything was clean and the food was good. Overall, we were pleased with the vacation and would recommend to our friends. Our only wish was that we were in a spot with higher waves!

IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Ifa Villas bavaro

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week. It is good price for value considering it is under construction. The grounds are very clean and the food was good. I did get a rash on my legs and also what appears to be mosquito bites but I did not see any bugs. I have heard about sand flies and that could be it, or bed bugs, not sure. It is very uncomfortable and I still have the rash 1 week after coming home. The only thing we did not like about the hotel is the front reception staff and the night shows. T [... read more]he staff at the front desk gave us other people s room and did not aknowledge you or smile or have any client service skills. The nightly show was always the same singer every night. There was always room on the beach and chairs available. The beach is not a quiet place as Ifa has he daily tour boats and local boats right at the beach, so sometimes we hear different kind of music very loudly on top of each other and smell of gas from the motors. I rate it 3 out of 5.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not what we were expecting...

We have stayed at other GB resorts and were expecting the same level of service. We were very disappointed. The servers would only serve if we tipped in advance, the rooms were old and in need of a good cleaning, and the staff in general were not friendly. The food was terrible and all of the restrictions of where we would and couldn't go were too confusing to follow. The Punta Cana airport was a horrible experience which left hundreds of people corralled like cattle with no AC, water  [... read more]or bathroom for hours. First and last trip to Punta Cana for us :(

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: GREAT RESORT

This resort is not large but very clean..good food...great staff Our room was very comfortable but dated..the tap in the bathroom was very rusted The showers run hot and long...perfect It is an easy walk from main lobby to beach and you can walk along the beach for miles..awesome

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort

This was an amazing resort. We have been here before but stayed in a different area. The grounds are well kept, our room was great, we had very good service, food was just too much and the food was excellent, everyone was very polite. We would definitely recommend this resort to everyone.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: good resort, excellent beach

This was our second year in a row at the Dominca, 9th time with Iberostar. Upon arrival we asked to change rooms as our room was located facing a thatch roof to one of the restaurants and was extremely noisy. Reception told us they would be move us the next day as no rooms were available at the time. The next day, the room we were to be moved to had a problem with the air conditioner, and we had to wait another day. They did offer to move us to a junior suite, with double beds which was no [... read more]t acceptable to us. They did move us to a nicer room on day two. The frustrating part was it took a fair amount of time spent in the lobby with reception instead of enjoying the weather and sitting at the beach. The one comment I did not appreciate from the front desk staff was them saying 'you get what you pay for' in reference to the first room we were put in. I thought all the standard rooms were the same price when we booked with trip central. The food was what we expected, maybe even a bit better overall than last year. The beach is the main attraction for us and this resort has ample beach front. White sand, no rocks and you can walk for miles. We found that the staff sometimes went too far with the afternoon activities at the pool and basically would force people into participating in their games, going as far as restraining people who wanted to opt out. I know my wife didn't appreciate being forced into their bikini contest. The nightly entertainment is typical for a resort, some nights decent, some nights no so good. We did find that the staff were less attentive this year than last year, and overall are not as friendly as staff in other countries in the Caribbean. The grounds are fairly well kept. We will return to Punta Cana, but might try one of the other Iberostar resorts the next time around.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Good resort

Overall I found this hotel to be great for the price. Geared towards families more so if you’re looking for nightlife this isn’t the place. Service was great. Food was ok. Not great. Pools great and rooms alright. Not fancy, damp but clean.

Excellence Punta Cana: Save the best til last

When you're the last one off the bus from the airport you're on edge wondering.... but from the minute you step foot into the lobby you are greeted with champagne and a cooling towel that is just the beginning....the staff is happy and it shows.. anything you ask for they truly try their best to get it for you. The entertainment staff treat you like family.....Marco is #1... The Oregano was our fab breakfast spot.....other than the buffet.... Aroma cafe was our daily afternoon treat...the spa w [... read more]as totally amazing...the hydro therapy a must do......just avoid the parrot enrout e...they attack buttons and all jewellery ....take pictures from a distance. All the restaurants are superb...no reservations required..... very short wait times well worth the wait This being our first adults-only all inclusive Resort we would definitely recommend the Excellence group of hotels We went at high humidity season I would recommend taking a damprid but they do offer dehumidifiers for the room if it is too damp for you... the resort has been newly renovated and all rooms are very spacious and modern.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Always a great place

Place is well kept grounds look great, nice pool areas, food is good I am meat and potatoes so I was happy but lots of different foods. Beds were good a few little things like sticky taps, paper holder broken never fixed they just keep putting paper without reporting but going back again before end of the year
