Hotel Playa Coco: Great resort!

This hotel is in need of upgrades(which they are planning) however the people make the hotel. They are so welcoming and absolutely amazing! I enjoyed how it was a relaxing, not crowded hotel. The beer gardens felt like you were at a bar with great food! Beds were hard, and I got really bad bug bites. They were in my room so I got my room changed, the bugs followed! They allowed late checkout for this reason.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Fantastic Resort!!!!!!!

We travelled the the Pestana in Nov. 2014 with friends and family and we all had a fantastic time! The resort was clean, the staff was friendly and extremely accommodating, the food was better than the food at other resorts we have stayed at in Cuba! The staff (both those out front and behind the scenes)helped a friend arrange an extraordinary surprise for me! Melia Cayo Coco: Sunfilled getaway at Melia Cayo Coco

I was at Melia Cayo Coco nov 8 th for one week. I was with 5 others. The Melia is a clean, friendly resort. The Melia has excellent amenities such as a beach bar, daily activities at the beach and pool and a well equipped sports centre. If relaxation is more your stle, the beach is small but beautiful. There is a slight sea smell when walking towards the room, but there is no smell in the rooms or overthe lagoon. Finally, I would be remiss if I didnt mention the food. The buffet was excellent and comparable to any buffet restaurant in North America. Wide range of seafood plus fresh cook stations for made to order breakfasts and dinners. I am vegetarian and alwys had fresh, diverse food choices. I would recommend the Melia, the staff are genuinely friendly, funny and go out of their way to help the vacationers enjoy their holiday. I would definitely return to this resort which offers excellent value for the money.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: My family and I had a great time!

I am so sick of hearing, "the food wasn't good". Really? Who goes to Cuba for the food? Although we thought the food was fine. This is not a country of abundance but the best is reserved for the tourists and the residents are so good natured regardless. The wonderful people, beautiful beach, relaxed atmosphere and unique culture is what we wanted and got. Cuba is one of the least expensive of the all inclusive destinations and Hotel Colonial was a great bang for our buck. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort but.....

Been here before and have to say the staff are great. Entertainment at night is fantastic. Food is good especially the a la cartes. Only issues were the fact they had some boards on the way to the beach that were loose and potentially dangerous that went unfixed for 3 days. Normally I wouldn't complain but it was very obvious to the staff and management. Second thing (not resorts fault) was that the Beach on the Diamond Club side had exposed coral which is tough on the feet. It would appear they [... read more] had alot of beach erosion. They had a coral crushing machine on Site but it wasn't completed in this area yet. All in all great value.

Hotel Mojito: Great Resort!

Resort was nice. Very friendly & helpful staff. Clean resort & rooms. Beautiful beach! Great food at the Aqua Bar! Buffet food was hit & miss, but not bad. Good shows at night. Decent nightlife. Only complaint was all the Mosquitos!! Overall fun time & amazing weather!

Melia Cayo Coco: Great adult only resort

Lovely mature resort. The live band every night in the lobby was fantastic. Rooms were nice and clean and lots of food to choose from in the buffet each day. The pool is well kept and there are lots of loungers to choose from in the sun or shade of palapa's.

Hotel Camino del Mar: a week in the sun!

we could not have ordered better weather than what we had the week of Oct 15th! The resort is small and needs a little bit of a face lift but the staff as always were amazing and we met some lovely people during our 1 week vacation. The food was ok - the buffet seemed to be more popular that the al la carte's. All Inclusive but you have to buy certain wines and beer but the price wasnt too costly. The biggest problem was my husband and many others were covered with bites that they could not stop scratching!!! A trip to Pilar beach was only a 5 cuc bus ride away and well worth it - Pilar beach was beautiful and we spent a day there relaxing in the sun on the white sand beach. You also have the option of getting day passes to check out other Melia resorts - we didnt do this but some couple we talked to did and raved about the Melia Cayo Coco!!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: It is a paradise and amazing resort

The resort is very clean, staff are all friendly and helpful, entertainments are great and most of all the food awesome. we have a great time and enjoy being with other people w/ different walks of life.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Location Location Location

Tryp Cayo Coco is in a great location. When they say 15 minutes from the airport it really is accurate. Resort is right on the beach and the pool is steps from the beach. Spending whole days in the sun by the pool with short trips to the beach was very restful. Big shout out to the operators of the Catamaran as they were pleasant, helpful and very quick to assist when someone is in difficulty. This day trip should not be missed. Another Huge shout out to Fis from the breakfast buffet. Fis made our daily omelets tasty and served them with flair and a huge smile. Food at the buffet was really good. The lobster dinner was not to be missed. I was disappointed with the a-la-carte's as well as the offering from the grill and the beach restaurant. Service at the bars was stellar. The gents who ran the swim up bar never tired and were full of smiles, chat and great and fast service. Main bar just lovely. The people there were willing to try to make you something special just for you. I was severely disappointed with the quality of the rooms. To say they were shabby was putting it mildly. There were extensive renovations going on while we were there. Apparently we were in the non renovated section. We had to change rooms after our first night as the room was either so heavily smoke in that the smell was permanently in the room or it was mold. We both had trouble breathing after the first night. We got a room in the same building, second floor, nice view, better smelling, just as shabby. Showers/bathrooms are in big need of repair/renovation. I have rated the service as only fair. This should not reflect on the bar/restaurant/beach or pool staff. My issue was with the front desk who were not friendly, happy and willing to try to assist us with having our room changed. I really had to push them hard and they had absolutely no sympathy for the fact that my boyfriend has asthma and had trouble breathing in the room we were assigned. It should also be noted that there are signs all around the pool that this is a no smoking zone. This was largely ignored by the patrons much to the dismay of us non smokers. More should have been done to ensure that non smokers rights to a smoke free vacation are taken into consideration. There should have been non-smoking rooms available and there should have been areas where smokers could congregate away from the non-smokers. We had a good time, however, this is more to do with us being able to make lemonade with lemons than anything else. We will not be recommending until at least the renovations are complete.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing, fun,lots of entrainment

I traveled solo and had an excellent trip. My request for a different room was immediately done. New room was right on main floor at main pool area, close to all annenities. All employees were helpful and also had a smile. Excellent resort with 24 hour snack bar, never could go hungry or without a drink of water or beer, etc.

Hotel Mojito: the staff make this resort amazing.

We have been to this resort 3 times now. We love going to the Mojito. It is like visiting with friends every time we go back. I don't go to Cuba for the food. I am not fussy so always find something to eat. The rooms are clean just outdated. Every time we go back there are improvements. We plan to go again in sept 2015 with family and friends. There are 20 of us going.

Sol Cayo Coco: LOVED IT

Had a fantastic time at Sol Cayo coco rooms were a bit dated but CLEAN air worked fine and hot water always, beautiful view over the mini golf of the Ocean. Resort is smaller than most in the past but so easy to get around you are near everything, the staff makes this resort you are all amazing!!! The only complaint... I found the food not hot enough only luke warm at best but always found something to eat. Overall good value for the Canadian dollar would return in a heart beat.

Hotel Mojito: Fantastic Staff! Wonderful vacation!

I visited the Iberostar Mojito for the second time Nov 11 to 18 2014 - once again I was thrilled with my stay! I was surprised by the number of staff who not only remembered me from my last visit - but greeted me warmly by name! Since I was travelling alone for the first time, I found this very re-assuring. I had made some specific requests when booking my vacation – and all were easily accommodated without having to ask at check-in. My room was clean, bright and sunny with a wonderful terrace [... read more] that got the morning sun. Staff are very efficient and willing to help you in any way they can. I find the atmosphere here a little more laid back and relaxed than some places I have visited in Cuba, and I enjoy this. Food was basic but very good with lots of choice – I made use of the buffet and poolside café most often as they are convenient and offer great variety. The nightly stage shows are top caliber – I especially enjoyed the “Disco” and “Chicago” shows. All in all a wonderful vacation – restful and relaxing – cared for by wonderful staff and met some fellow Canadians and made new friends!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Good Quality for the price

Beach and pools were very nice! Rooms were quite outdated, but clean. Food was typically cold and the same each night. I have been to Cuba several times before, so I am well aware of the tasteless food, but this was probably the worst I have had so far. Hotel Playa Paraiso: absolutely beautiful resort

A great hotel very modern, staff amazing, good food, great beach, would go back to this resort, close ride from the airport, traveled with husband and son and his girlfriend, Oct 31st for one week. Even though it was slow season they still maintained a full and helpful staff, Enjoy

Melia Cayo Coco: Staff made the resort awesome

Really enjoyed this resort. This resort needs a bit of up grading as far as new tubs and faucets. Such a small thing to overlook when in paradise. Our room was a standard quit spacious, very clean. Beach was beautiful, tide was high first couple of days. By third day bit calmer and enough beach for a lounge chair, which were plentiful. If anyone were to complain about the food here they should stay at home. Dago and Yarima at the clubhouse bar always had time for a smile and friendly hola. The entertainment staff was a blast. Loved partcipating in their activities, dancing lessons by the pool, pumpkin carving on halloween. Emileidy, Yaneisy, Mave, PePe and Alex all awesome at their jobs of entertaining guests. Tryp Cayo Coco: The staff are friendly

The resort is dated. However, the management and the staff have done their best to keep the facilities clean. On the activity board, they said there were tennis lessons everyday at 0900 however when I went there the court was empty. The beach was lovely and that was where I spent most of my time. I booked a trip to go to Havana and subsequently I was told that the plane was full and me and wife were bumped.
