Barcelo Maya Caribe: Good choice for family getaway.

Very well kept. Lots of activities for family with children and grandchildren - including the pools and waterpark and beach, recreational options and evening shows. Great choice of restaurants and buffets.

Riu Flamingos: Nice resort

Just returned from the riu jalisco. This property is very nice. We had no complaints at all. Staff was very nice and helpful. Always willing to help and always with a smile. The rooms are dated and small but they were clean and comfortable. Food was ok nothing fabulous typical buffet food. Did not like the Asian but then i am not one for sushi. Couldn't get in the steak house always lined up with a couple hour wait. Overall we enjoyed our week there. .

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Ok resort

Most of the restaurant were really good. The Aroma and the Brushetta. The buffet was not that great. To much of the same things. The beaches had alot of seaweed. The reef were ok. Very clean resort and friendly employees.

The Sens Riviera: Sunscape Akumal - the good and the bad

Sunscape Akumal - the good and the bad. Let’s start with the travelers be aware the pictures you see advertised are mostly from the Sun Club area of the resort. The beautiful pools, sun beds – all for Sun Club only. Which is an upgrade. If you do not get the upgrade you get one small pool with not enough lounge chairs and very crowded small part of the beach. Don’t even bother asking for bottled water that’s for Sun Club only. The rooms are nice. We had aunts in our bathroom so th [... read more]ey had to fumigate. Food was good – but I am not a picky eater. Coco café was the best. If you are coming with kids they have great kids area and programs. Evening entertainment was also good. All the staff work very hard and are very pleasant. Because of the restrictions I will not be returning. My suggestion to the resort – please give guests spoons when serving coffee at the buffet. With all this said we still had a nice vacation - how can you not when Toronto had -30 C.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Beautiful Resort

it is a great resort all combined it is a very large resort We would go back to this resort food was great and everything was very clean from the rooms to the pool to the beach There was lots to do around the resort if you were looking for activities

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great experience!

Hotel and grounds were very clean and well staffed. The transportation around the resort was very handy. The sports bar was a pleasant surprise, would have made a great hangout if the weather had turned ugly. Overall the food was great!

Barcelo Maya Riviera: New hotel

The hotel opened two months ago. Everything is new, clean, contemporary design inside and out. Great service. As opposed to other Barcelo resorts here we did not have the stress to be in time for breakfast or lunch. When we were late at the buffet they gave us a la carte. The dinner is free at the restaurants. Strongly recommend the Japanese / best meal and the French / best service restaurants. You need water shoes as there are corals in the water and snorkeling equipment/ lots of fish near [... read more] the shore. On the minus side (most of them preventable) is that when we booked the room at the travel agency we asked for ocean front premium level. We did not get premium level, I should have checked as it was no mention of premium on the papers. Also the room was ocean view not ocean front. When we complained at the hotel they told us that they consider all the rooms ocean front which is not true. The travel from the airport to the hotel was included by Sunwing. Unfortunately they put the carrier on luggage together with the large luggages and it got broken. I should have taken it with me. When we came back from Mexico at the luggage pick up we realized that the zipper is open and a bag of cosmetics was stolen. This was my first vacation in Mexico. I will be better prepared next time as I will definitely be back.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Will return!

Large rooms amazing for families. Resort not too big or overcrowded. Staff lovely, especially Dulce and Quetzal. Food surprisingly great for an all-inclusive. Beach lovely but entry very rocky in parts.

Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta: Great resort

The staff at Grand Park Royal where amazing especially Miguel at the pool and beach and no one can forget Fernando in the lobby bar never at a better bartender he will make your day thanks to all the staff and don't forget to try the fish tacos at lunch time in the seafood restaurant they are to die for

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Love this place!!!

This is my 5th time to this resort and it won’t be the last. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are spacious and kept Immaculate by the housekeepers. Everywhere you go the staff is attentive and gracious. I did find it difficult booking reservations this time but the food at all the restaurants was outstanding.

Pierre Mundo Imperial: Heaven on Earth

Out of this world. We had the best time of our lives here. The staff was very helpful. The resort was excellent. Only if the beach was more friendly this would be heaven on earth. Very clean and a well maintained resort. The 63rd Anniversary celebration on valentine's day will be an unforgettable event. Keep it up. We will be there every year

Grand Sunset Princess: Incredible and resort on

First time in Rivera Maya Great food, clean rooms, helpful and professional staff, fun events, restaurants galore. There’s not really a reason to leave one you arrive on property though the staff with help arrange excursions too . Love the swim-up bar - frozen margaritas while floating in one of the many pools. Love the steakhouse and Italian restaurants both - fantastic food. Entertainment every night - acrobatics, music, circus. Fun activities all throughout the day. Would def come again!

Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos: A whale of a good time

The hotel food was excellent but the lack of a supper buffer made things monotonous for a ten day stay. Whales were easily seen right from your room and were plentiful. Wanted to sell condos but a firm no will stop them. Don't go if you have trouble walking, lots of hills. Room was nice and clean as well. Service by everyone was excellent. Looks big but is a small resort by the feel.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: still love the resort

We still love this resort and this was my second visit in just a few months. However I was a little disappointed that the Coba buffet was closed and under renovation and the 24 hour snack bar was no longer 24 hours...wish I had of known that in advance9oh and the main store in lobby with snacks and sundries was also closed for renovations. Wouldn't summer months be a better time for these renovations??

Overall, my family and I really enjoyed this resort. Rooms were nice, fridge stocked daily with water, snacks and beer. We were located close to the buffet and Mayan mall so it was super convenient. So many pools including kids pools made it easy to find a chair. Water warmed up in the afternoon and there was both quiet pools and then those that had entertainment and activities. The only negative here was that the no smoking in the pool rule was not enforced which was gross, especially for us  [... read more]with young children. The beach is a little rocky but it didn’t bother us as we prefer the pools. We found the food mediocre compared to previous experiences at other Mexican resorts. That being said, we still enjoyed our meals and we really enjoyed the teppanyaki a la carte. We did enjoy all the activities on the resort including the arcade in the sports bar as well as the merry go round and skating in the mall. We ended up spending more money to do these things but it did keep our kids entertained. Loved the dolphin experience although was concerned by the lack of space in the pool. We didn’t see the night shows but there was something happening daily. Overall, it was good resort with lots to do for our family. We had a great time.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort

Was at the Oceans Riviera in Feb /20 and had a great time.The resort was fabulous and the staff were very helpful and friendly.The food was good and the entertainment was second to none.The pools were well kept and the grounds were spotless.There is nothing bad at this resort and I definitely would go back.Some people complain just to hear themselves complain so have fun and go with an open mind.

Secrets Huatulco: Wonderful beach and views

We loved the resort and especially our accommodation which was a swim up room on the uppermost level of our building. The restaurants were varied and, for the most part, served tasty meals. We especially enjoyed dining at the two outdoor restaurants which were beautifully lit in the evening - very romantic atmosphere!! That was fine with us although those with mobility issues might find this inconvenient. Secrets Huatulco is definitely a superior resort architecturally and scenically. It can accommodate a large group of people, though, which means the facilities particularly the pool area can be quite crowded during the day.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Amazing Resort

I thought the resort was outstanding on all issues and aspects except the chairs around the swimming pool and ocean. They were old and outdated and too low to the ground for some people too. The restaurant, activities and service was fantastic.

Decameron Isla Coral: Great Resort

We were hesitant to book this resort as it was brand new and had no reviews, but we are so glad that we did. It is a 1.5 hour ride from PV airport to Guayabitos, something to keep in mind. Also if you were on a large bus, chances are they may not be able to get you directly to the resort as the roads are too narrow. We had a 16 passenger van and it made it with no issues. We were told that there was still things to be completed at the resort so we may hear construction noise. They were still completing the top floor. Both elevators were in working order. Rooms are nothing special or fancy, but clean and comfortable. AC in each room. Bed was a bit hard but still comfortable. In room safe was included. All rooms have a balcony. The grounds are always clean, pool was cool but not freezing cold. Food was good. They tried to keep things changed up at the buffet but there was time where things were repeated. Deserts were excellent. Always chairs and loungers available on the beach. Beautiful beach. Staff was always smiling and eager to help even if some them didn't speak very good English. Juan and Jesus always had cold beverages ready for us at the bar and never let the cup get empty. The animation team was very good and tried their best to keep people engaged in activities throughout the day. Entertainment was ok. Karaoke, bands, music each night from 9-10:30. If you are a early to bed person this may not be good as the noise did echo around the resort do to the "C" shape of the complex. Overall this was an excellent resort and it exceeded our expectations and we would definately return.

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Great resort.

We were two couples who went for a 2 week stay. We had been there previously 15 years ago. The other couple had not. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.....loved the fact that you didn't have to book for the a la carte restaurants. Upon arrival, our rooms were to have been with king size beds and we were initially in rooms with 2 double beds. However, as soon as they were able to change us over, which was 2 days later we had our rooms with king size beds. The other couple had an issue with th [... read more]eir air conditioning and that too was rectified. We partificpated in various activities and noted that their entertainment in the evenings was much better than any other all inclusive we have been to. Overall it was a great vacation!
