Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Wonderfully Relaxing!!!
I really can't find a fault with this resort other than the strong arm time share attack 10 minutes after arriving at the resort.. Loved the proximity to the airport.. The rooms were quite large.. The resort is set up perfectly. Restaurants and pool area on one side...sleeping on the other side.. food is delicious enjoyed the grille for lunch and we managed to try all the restaurants and loved them all.. We would not hesitate to recommend!! You won't be disappointed!!
Melia Cayo Coco: Sunfilled getaway at Melia Cayo Coco
I was at Melia Cayo Coco nov 8 th for one week. I was with 5 others. The Melia is a clean, friendly resort. The Melia has excellent amenities such as a beach bar, daily activities at the beach and pool and a well equipped sports centre. If relaxation is more your stle, the beach is small but beautiful. The pool is very appealing and has plenty of lounge chairs. We were not sure what to expect from the lagoon rooms we booked, which are an upgrade. The lagoon rooms are excellent. The patios overlo [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: Good resort - better with royal service
Food at the Royal Service exclusive restaurant was a lot better than the rest. Highly recommend paying a bit more for the royal service. In general the service is very nice everywhere. The main lounge was usually very packed at night during my stay. Depending if you are a social person, you may like/dislike it. There are quieter (but smaller) lounge in the royal service area as well. The beach and pool was nice and clean.
Melia Cayo Coco: Great adult only resort
Lovely mature resort. The live band every night in the lobby was fantastic. Rooms were nice and clean and lots of food to choose from in the buffet each day. The pool is well kept and there are lots of loungers to choose from in the sun or shade of palapa's.
Melia Las Americas: Fun resort!
Great area! Beach & ocean were beautiful. The beach entertainment was very fun. Bartenders and cleaners were very nice. I would definitely return to this resort. The golf course was amazing. Well taken care of and a beautiful site.
Melia Varadero: Not so great
This hotel is older and was in the middle of renovations on the top floor. We spent the week listening to saws drilling and hammering. We were very disappointed with the cleaninest of the hotel in general. The lack of English speaking staff and comprehension of the English language was a huge barrier. The food variety was poor we ate the same things for lunch and dinner at the buffet for a week. The staff in the kids programs were wonderful.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great quiet resort
Resort was nice and developed. Needs some updating. The staff was great, specially Indeera in the buffet restaurant, great server. I would go back to the resort again. Kids had fun (3 and 6yrs). The resort make sure to accommodate my oldest peanut allergy concerns, which was nice.
Melia Las Dunas: Worth It!
Was definitely worth what we paid. Grounds are well kept, food is okay (we didn't starve) rooms were clean, people were friendly. The beach is narrow for walking and laying on but water and sand is beautiful!
Hotel Camino del Mar: a week in the sun!
we could not have ordered better weather than what we had the week of Oct 15th! The resort is small and needs a little bit of a face lift but the staff as always were amazing and we met some lovely people during our 1 week vacation. The food was ok - the buffet seemed to be more popular that the al la carte's. All Inclusive but you have to buy certain wines and beer but the price wasnt too costly. We ordered a few bottles of wine during the week and sipped several corona (1 CUC each) during the [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: One of Cuba's finest!
Fifty one of us attended a wedding here. They set us up in our own hall for the reception which was above and beyond the package paid for. The staff became part of our family during our stay. Excellent!
Melia Las Dunas: Amazing resort
Melia Las Dunas is an amazing resort. There you will find beaches like in your dreams, very helpfull people and a lot of activities all day/night long. Family area was seperated, therefore even for younger people a very comfortable stay!
Sol Palmeras: Fantastic resort!!
The grounds were immaculate & so well cared for. . The rooms very clean, spacious & food was excellent ` a very good variety. ! The staff were very friendly & attentive to our needs. I would definitely go there again.
Melia Las Dunas: Perfect holiday!
This resort was amazing from morning to night! It had three large buffet restaurants, even one at the beach! and many a la carte restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The large lobby is like the hub of the resort with bars and a theatre and multiple lounge areas for people to get together. Great shopping at the resort and nearby. ALWAYS something to do:dancing, water sports, shows, shopping, not to mention a beautiful beach. Rooms were clean and comfortable.Great shows and beach!!!
Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Beautiful Peaceful Resort
The only thing that we found very was the walk to the elevators every day sometimes multiple times per day depending on your room location especially for that of the senior crowd. I must admit that the renovations did encroach on our holiday stay. The food could have been more localized, we found it to be very basic American but there was no shortage. When we first checked in at the Melia, the service was poor - when I first booked the trip months in advance, I had requested rooms side by side f [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Quite, peacefull and great snorkling!
Lovely time! The staff was amazing, room was bright, airy and clean. The food was ok for cuba. The hotel was beautiful. The staff gets you involved in activities. All in all a great vacation. I would go back again! We meet an older couple who had been to Cuba 85 times. This was one of their favorite resorts.
Melia Marina Varadero: Great stay!
Beautiful hotel, lovely people, okay buffet and delicious a la carte. I would definitely go back again. Cuba is a wonderful country to visit. Varadero feels very safe, even at night. Definitely the perfect hotel for a relaxing vacation.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort
The hotel was very nice and the beach is great. The food, however, is lousy and cold at the buffet. They very seldom give you ice water or a cold bottle of water. The mini bar contains beer and 2 Cuban pop only. The coffee makes in the rooms rarely work. Some of the workers are very nice but most of them don't give you the time of day. The entertainment is basically the same every night. If it rains, there is absolutely nothing to do at this resort. The laundry (sheets, blankets etc) have a stal [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: truly relaxing!
Upon arrival the foyer is breathtaking. It is quite large and ironically we only saw folks in their golden years walking around. The beach, pool and grounds are well maintained and the workers are polite and attentive. The beer garden opens up a grill section for lunch. ..... fantastic!
Melia Las Antillas: Resort Value for Price
Grounds very pleasant and kept in good condition. The food was better than we expected from reading previous reviews but then we love seafood. Management need system to stop beach goers from claiming more than one lounger per person.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Location Location Location
Tryp Cayo Coco is in a great location. When they say 15 minutes from the airport it really is accurate. Resort is right on the beach and the pool is steps from the beach. Spending whole days in the sun by the pool with short trips to the beach was very restful. Big shout out to the operators of the Catamaran as they were pleasant, helpful and very quick to assist when someone is in difficulty. This day trip should not be missed. Huge shout out to Cecilia for her pool aerobics at Tryp which kept [... read more]
