Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Bluebay stay from March 10th-17th 2018
The staff at the Bluebay was so friendly and efficient. The rooms are decent and the food was good. There is always something you could find to eat. Salad bar was great with lots of choices. Unfortunately the beach was not nice at all but the pools were great. I would recommend this resort to someone who didn't care for sitting on the beach and swimming in the ocean.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Worst Royalton I have been too
With the exception of the food, which was good, the service at the front desk, how we were treated was terrible. They said it was our agent's fault our room was incorrect. We booked a 2 bedroom Presidential Suite. Suite, as the name implies has a living room and two(2) adjoining bedrooms. No, in their case, it means a One(1) Bedroom suite beside a one bedroom studio suite with NO adjoining door in between. Essentially, 2 bedrooms separate. We brought our sixteen(16) year old son which had to sta [... read more]
Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great Resort
Overall we loved the resort. Rooms were clean but small, but bathrooms large! Grounds were beautiful and the food and service was great. I loved how you did not have to make reservations for the a la carte restaurants and you could go as many times as you please. The pool on the Hacienda side was always fun, especially for kids, always things to do. The beach was beautiful but small and we did have quite a bit of seaweed the week we were there (March 6-13). My favourite part of resort was [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: A great family vacation resort!
This location is beautiful with friendly staff and great food. A lot of things for children to do. We didn't have children with us this time, but I noticed how child friendly it was and how many children were there.
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Phenominal!
It was an amazing week in the sun... the resort was huge but it was easy to navigate (not a lot of stairs or hilly) and there were trams everywhere at any time of day. Lots of choices of food at the buffet and the al la carts were very good too! The rooms were clean, plenty of pools, food and drink always steps away. The grounds were immaculate and surprisingly and very happy to say that there were enough green areas for local habitat to still thrive (lizards, coati, birds etc) . Absolutely NO [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very nice overall
The beach was disappointing, weedy and rocky. But the resort itself was excellent. Great buffet, friendly staff, nice pools, clean rooms, manicured grounds. A la carte restaurants were mostly good. Activities and shows were ok. Often had to wait for service at the pool bars. Overall good though.
Grand Sunset Princess: Nice clean resort
The trip was real good , trip central lined everything up nicely. A little mix up on the plane seating. The resort was big but clean and beautiful the people were friendly and all the restaurants with exception of the Italian was very good . One big problem was the time share salsman lots of them and they will tell you almost anything to get you to their sales meeting. The pools were good , the beach was good except for the weeds washing up , they were always trying to clean it up though. The su [... read more]
Grand Sunset Princess: Wonderful Resort
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are spacious and the entire resort gleams. The staff are happy and helpful. The pools abound, the drinks are delicious and a good size and the food was fresh. We loved the gym and the clssses it offered. The only downside was the beach. I will definitely frequent a Grand Sunset Princess in the future.
Unico 20 87 Hotel Riviera Maya: Beautiful Resort - UNICO 20°N 87°W - Riviera Maya
Unico celebrated it's 1 yr anniversary the week before we arrived. Everything is still fresh and new, but the staff has clearly had time to build a great service team. We were super impressed with how helpful and professional everyone was. And absolutely no pressure to tip (although it was always graciously received) like we experienced in Cuba. The room was very comfortable - King bed, with a couch and large wood table to work at if needed. Well stocked with toiletries, soaps, snacks, beer, [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great 2nd Stay at Sian Ka'an
This was our second stay at Sian Ka'an in Riviera Maya. They had a nice set up for our honeymoon once we arrived. Champagne, rose pedals, gift bag and chocolates. The service was stellar. Maria in the lobby bar, Carlos at the Sian Ka'an beach bar were amazing. One morning, Paula in the lobby asked us for some feedback and one of our friends mentioned that it was disappointing that they no longer were offering real top shelf booze such as Grey Goose. We heard that Don Pablo had died and his dau [... read more]
Excellence Riviera Cancun: 25th Anniversary Excellence
This is an amazing 5 star resort where the staff are friendly, kind, helpful and plentiful. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food is wonderful although we mainly ate at The Grill. The rooms are gorgeous and the housekeeping staff do an excellent job. I enjoyed the turn down service as well. Our swim up room was on the heated pool thankfully since the weather was not very hot. I wish they would heat the pool with the swim up bar. They have daytime and nightly entertainment which I wou [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great time as always.
3rd year in a row that we've stayed at Sian Ka'an and it was wonderful again. No complaints. Food and service is spectacular and all staff are genuinely friendly and sincere. Very helpful with my food allergy(Celiac). Chefs will go out of their way to accomodate.
Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Great Resort !
The architecture, grounds and gardens are very nice. The restaurants and food are very good. The pools and beach are excellent with lots of thatched umbrellas that provides a choice of sun or shade. We had a great time.
Excellence Riviera Cancun: THE WORD "EXCELLENCE" DESCRIBES IT ALL!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Excellence Riviera Cancun and no words can truly describe our experience. This resort exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The management and staff pay attention to every detail to ensure you are pampered and cared for. It is the people who work at this resort that make it stand out above the rest. Everyone smiles and greets you with a genuine "Hola" to make you feel welcome. The food was incredible, the pools were amazingly clean (we wer [... read more]
Grand Oasis Riviera: Very nice resort
Hotel itself was very nice and very clean with the acception of sewer smell in the bathroom of out room that would only be in the evening. The llocals and personelle that waited on us were very friendly. The only negative draw back was that we were not informed from Susan Snyder that arranged the reservation , she failed to inform on how far the hotel was from the airport. It took us a 2 hour drive.. had we known beforehand how far out distance i wouldn’t have booked this hotel. Not mu [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Resort!
This is our second visit to this resort and we will return again. We have stayed at many different resorts in many different areas and the Bahia excels in every way! Delicious food with a varied selection, clean facilities, friendly and efficient staff that is always willing to be of assistance. We really enjoyed seeing the wildlife on the grounds ... iguanas sunning themselves, the tejones were fun to see, raccoons (mapaches). The grounds had a jungle feel to them and the wild animals enhan [... read more]
Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Great winter get away
Enjoyed 11 days at the Iberostar Paraiso Beach resort. Very friendly staff; yards and grounds very well kept; food was great and plentiful with the chefs asking for opinions to want to ensure food was top notch and if improvements required. Beach was nice, although some days had seaweed, which was taken care of by staff. Entertainment crew was exceptional and engaging with the guests. Very large pools and very clean.
Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great All Inclusive Resort. Food was great and excellent service.
We have been to several all-inclusive resorts over the years and the Hard Rock stacks up against them all. The resort was very clean and easy to get around. We are a family of four and stayed on the family side. All in all the food was great and the service was second to none. I would go back!
Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Eight times at The Royal Playa Del Carmen
The food at the restaurants is very good especially at the Chefs Plate however you need to have an Ocean Front room to access for free. Five course meals that are totally delicious and presentation unreal! On the negative side the night time entertainment is lacking. When we were there March 8-15th they had "entertainment" from 8:30 - 9:30 when the big shows start. What was listed for the 8:30 - 9:30 was "DJ and music. My wife was very excited as we believed that "DJ and music would be dan [... read more]
