Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A great get-away!

Our time at Iberostar Daiquri was exactly what we needed! The resort had everything we needed, a clean room with a comfortable bed, good food, and wonderful staff who welcome you as though you were a member of their own family! Some people may say that Cuba does not have good food, but if you eat a clean, healthy diet, you will be very happy with the food in Cuba. The beach was fantastic! Melia Cayo Coco: Great little resort

This resort was a great little resort for us, but I know it may not be for everyone. My wife and I are in our 40s and traveled with 2 other couples at the end of April. This is a small resort (250 rooms) about 15 min. from the airport (bonus). We could always find one another if we were apart as this was the smallest resort we had been to. It [... read more] was always windy so no frisbee throwing. If you are into snorkelling for fish, this is not the beach for you. All sand no rocks. This resort is older as we could see from the rooms inside the bungalows. There are no hotel style accommodations (another big plus for us). Water pressure was weak, but we made due (never complained about it). This was not the case with the rooms our friends stayed in. This was not a party resort and the average age was probably in the 50's. We departed on May 1st and there were bus loads of young adults arriving that coincided with the end of universities in Canada. Coincidence? The food was very good for Cuba and we enjoyed the a-la-carts, but not comparable to other resorts outside Cuba. I loved the lobby bar as it was spacious and over the high ceiling and open to the air. We could always find a seat or a cabana by the pool or beach as it was the off season. This place was not crowded. While this is not a resort comment, we had perfect weather and no rain our entire week at the resort. 29 degrees C by day, 23 degrees by night. We enjoyed our time at the resort.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Amazing resort!!!

The resort is really amazing!!! It's just a right size for us - everything is max 5-7 min walking distance. The beach and ocean - the most beautiful part. The rooms are big and very clean, AC is very good. Wi-Fi is everywhere is pretty good. My husband likes to watch news so he was very happy with Wi-Fi. The food is good - I liked the grilled calamаries (squid) and fish. We were there in May which is Mango season. We've enjoyed mangos during breakfast, lunch and dinner :) Please note, we h [... read more]ad to wear masks in the buffet when you take a food to the plate and lobby if you need any assistance. Otherwise, no masks are required. I would like to mention a snack bar by the pool - very tasty sanwiches, hotdogs and amazing service. Actually, the service is great everywhere - what a friendly, beautiful people work there!!!! 2 garden guys gave me a little handmade flower every day :). We would like to thank everyone in the resort. Great service everywhere!!! Thank you my favorite Cuba for the great vacation. We are planning to come over again sometime in November (we will have 45 wedding anniversary on Nov 25th).

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great time, great place

The place was overall good. They upgraded me to a suite so no complaints. All does not work perfect (bath drain was too slow), my first room has little hot water (I think they upgraded me for that reason), though I did not complain. But I enjoyed the place. Internet is far from great, but I did not come to be on the web. Cell reception is good. Food is ok, way better than all the stories I heard about Cuba (if was my first time in this country). Last but not least staff was great. Everyone always seemed in a good mood, smiling, whiling to help. I was surprised to see who everyone knew at least some English, sometimes quite well, in addition to French. So I would definitely go back. Good value for the price.

Melia Costa Rey: Great Resort, Covid safe!

Pullman has solid reputation over the years and did not disappoint now! All Covid Protocol in place ànd gently enforced by staff. All staff masked ànd gloved where necessary. All food served to your clean plates at the Buffet. Food was excellent in variety and quality. Temperatures were good. All food areas supplied sanitizer if needed. Staff were amazing and delivered great service throughout the resort. Overall a well managed resort. Beach was as usual very beautiful. Many times to Cuba and to Cayo Coco but first to Pullman and will definitely return. Love close proximity to airport....10 minutes and vacation starts.

Don Lino Hotel: This Hotel should be advertised as for SMOKER ONLY.

I have been to Don Lino 4 times in the last 6 months. The food is OK for a 2-star hotel However there ARE NOT vegetables, therefore many Canadian have stomach problems. There is a very limited amount of fruits. I have never seen one banana. The worst of all is that every day there is NO Electricity for 4 or more hours. In the last two weeks of my last stay, there was no TV. When I was at Don Lino in November, after the power was disconnected in about 10 minutes the hotel started its own generato [... read more]r. However later in December, February, and April, the hotel did not start its own generator when was the power failure. If there is no electricity the Bar is closed. It looks to me that the Management is making savings by NOT serving any drinks. Because I have a very bad allergy to cigarette smoke I could not enter the Bar, I could not enter the lobby. People smoke in the lane to the restaurant. Therefore, I strongly recommend for people with a alergy to cigaret smoke stay away from DON LINO.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Nice

Very large hotel and very inviting Don't drink the water, the food could have been a little better ..your choice to party hard or relaxed you can do both.frendly people. Are also very nice. I think over all very good

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: A great resort

The resort was well maintained and beautifully groomed the wooden bungalow was dated but comfortable.the dining was above what I expected . staff were friendly and helpful .the beaches were pristine The resort seam isolated. The neoseams flies were terrible for me but not my wife.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Nice brand New Modern Resort with free wifi, also pool and beach drink service

We stayed for a week in May/ 22 , had a Oceanview room , Best room we ever had in Cuba with with King bed, plus couch , table & 2 chairs, whirlpool tub & Separte standup shower. However If I would go again though, I would go for a ground level swim up room. Beach is pure white soft sand with no other resorts open on this separate Island, great for long beach walks. Food is ok, but we ate at the same restaurant almost everyday for our 3 meals a day. Food got to be reptitive but it was good and fresh.The beach bbq did not happen, Two of of the Ala Carte’s did not open. Remote location. It is a 1 hour drive from CayoCoco. No off resort Excursions available the whole week. This resort is so remote and new they don’t offer excursions at all except for once per week Catamaran snorkeling, except ours was canceled due to not enough people.So expect to stay the whole week on the resort. It is a really quiet resort , you could sleep or read at the pool or beach with no loud Cuban party music playing at all except on the Thursday Cuban Day. So It is great if you just want to rest and relax but can get to be boring if you need more excitement.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Resort

Most importantly the staff at Dhawa are amazing which made our trip memorable. The cleaners do an amazing job each day to ensure our rooms are spotless clean. I would definitely come back next year...

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Would stay again

Best Cuba resort I've been to. Better than the Dominican trip I took. Amazing staff, clean, relaxing. Beach was fantastic. Food was good lots to choose from. Go see the boys at the beach bar, Victor and Oscar so fast and friendly. Highly recommend

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent beach, resort is very nice

The hotel was modest in size, lovely main pool if that's your thing. Beach is soft white sand, shallow water and very clean. Lots of chairs available, beach bar service. Quesadillas offered at the beach lunch station are delicious! Grounds are very well kept, tip the gardeners, they're out there every day to make sure your views are as beautiful as possible. She took care of everything for us, so when Mario came the next day ( as they alternate) there wasn't much to do. The main bar is very well stocked. Nice Spanish wines were served in both dining rooms. Service staff were very good, hardworking and always busy cleaning or clearing tables to ensure no guest had to wait for a table. The bed was comfortable and the room very large. We were situated in room 0106; perfect location for us. The resort is aging, but still in decent condition. With the gap of tourism over the last few years it is understandable that repairs will take a while to get done, not only because of supply but money needed to undertake them. The reception desk staff were helpful and courteous. The general Manager, I think his name was Francesco...was so kind and always present. It was refreshing to see someone in his position so very much committed to his guests and their experience. The Spa was very nice, clean and the massage therapists there were good. The only criticisms I can point out, is the food at the 24 hour snack bar is "typical Cuban", not so good. Fries were not prepared freshly, but seemed to be reheated. Best thing at the snack bar was the ice cream...and the grilled lunch service. The wait staff there are good but not as efficient as the main dining staff. Also, getting fresh beach towels, especially on the last 3 days of our stay, was impossible as not enough on hand. The loungers on the beach will need updating over the next year so the guests don't all destroy their backs. Thank you so much to Anna , our chambermaid, she was so happy and pleasant. She did a great job and our room was always clean and towels positiioned in new towel art daily. My husband and I have visited Cuba since 83, and would definitely return to this particular resort without hesitation, but not in May. Mango was plentiful but with the rains the mosquitos were as well. Woudl have been a perfect vacation , if only we didn't experience a 2 hour delay on the way there and a 7 hour delay on the way home. With Cayo Santa Maria being a 90 minute bus ride away from the airport, it makes for a long "travel" day.

Sol Varadero Beach: Wonderful week away!

We have travelled to Cuba many times, probably 18 in total. It's been a number of years since we were in the Varadero area. The beach is AMAZING!!!! You can't go wrong when it comes to Varadero beaches. The hotel itself has done an outstanding job fixing up and renovating the grounds, they are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. The one downfall in our opinion would be the food. Very hit or miss and not very much selection at a [... read more]ll. Playa Pesquero: good resort

nice room and service.pools ok and snack bar is very limited .buffet is very worse .very nice and clean beach .couldnot find international liquer .domestic beer was tasty .couldnot find any entertainment in the resort no show in the resort .very bad system at last day you have to sit in the lobby for seven hours .waiting for bus for airpoprt.

Sol Varadero Beach: Ok resort

Sol all inclusive Well all we can say about this resort ,it's not up to its standards First A/C.... was kept at 24, we called it in no one came, the front desk said they went, so we left it .2nd the first day we checked in , got to the room the whole room stunk, the pillows , sheets , curtains .etc etc we told our guide about it , he went to tell the front desk , not sure if they did anything....entertainment was held late after9pm. Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Beautiful new resort

We had a lovely stay at this resort. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were lovely too. The food was great if you like Cuban food and we do. 😊 The only complaint we had was it could of used more cleaning . The pool was very dirty everyday . It needed a good cleaning! full of algae and dirt, lacking chemicals .The hallway to our room wasn’t cleaned from the time we arrived. 😞 We will try it again. 😊

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Loved the resort!!

The resort was beautiful, the rooms large and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and happy to be of your service. The beach is beautiful and the sea water is clean, clear and warm. There are lovely palapas with loungers to keep you on the shade and the pool is enormous and clean with lots of loungers. The food is good with many options to chose from. The specialty restaurants were lovely and the food was very good. I would definitely return to this resort.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Terribly Disappointing!

Not a newcomer to travelling in Cuba but bewildered by this last trip and the poor service received at this resort. The room we checked into was one I would have never have stayed at back home (too much to write about with limited characters). Disgusting! The food at each and every meal was extremely disappointing and what was the most troublesome was the lack of caring & pride of service from the workers here. Playa Costa Verde: Awesome resort

food was good, rooms clean, layout of resort was not too large so everything was conveniently located . Will come back in the future, the beach was one of the best I've seen. The shelters where a nice to have since they protected you from the sun all day.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Would recommend this hotel

Sanctuary at Grand Memories is nestled in a quite corner of the Grand Sanctuary Resort. Although we had full access to the entire complex, we barely strayed from Sanctuary. Everything you need is there , especially if you enjoy a much more subdued environment. The rooms were very nice and there was ample hot water and pressure. I was pleasantly surprised to have very good wifi. The private beach was not crowded and the water was so warm in May. Staff at Sanctuary paid strict attention to mask wearing protocol. You could still see them smile dispite the mask🤗 Guests were almost entirely Canadian with a smattering of Brits and Europeans . Guests had a more casual attitude towards mask wearing . Each room was assigned a "Butler" These young men were very attentive and booked all of your restaurant meals and arranged excursions or drivers.. They did this and more without ever being a bother .I would highly recommend Sanctuary for those who enjoy a quieter environment .
