Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Resort, but needs some

a few concerns: there was a major outbreak of Hand Foot and Mouth disease at the resort. No announcement was made, nor did we notice any additional care or cleaning to the pool and kid areas. As well, my luggage was not loaded onto the bus (even though it was tagged and sitting with the other passengers luggage). I then had to PAY to have my own luggage transported to the airport when it should have been loaded in the first place. No apology and no compensation. A little disappointing.

Excellence El Carmen: Great stay

We loved the grounds, room, food, beach, and bars- special thank you to Yonathan and Alvin at Excellence Club bar for their amazing service! Lovely beach. Temperature of swim-up pool could be warmer. Highly recommend Excellence Club category; oceanview swim-up suite. Some inconsistent service at times but good attempts to make up for this. Good size resort for all ages.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Can’t wait to go back!

This resort was immaculately kept. Guest service, comfort, quality assurance and happiness was made a priority. Food and variety was fantastic. Room was very nice and clean. So much to do on the resort , we were never board.

Grand Palladium Palace: Excellent experience!

This was the best experience I've had at any hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, the food was great, and the service was amazing. We felt very well taken care of through and through. Highly recommended.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing

I thought the hotel was superb from the time we got to the resort till we stepped into the shuttle. Even the bell boy made sure that Air Canada came to pick us up on time. From the room which faced the beautiful long winding pool, to the almost secluded beach, to excellent staff from the bar to the restaurants to the cafe, to the very details of a very very clean tasteful room. The staff at the beach and restaurants were polite, professionally dressed and go out of their way to help. I would only recommend one thing that the food menu could be one notch better. There were no shortage of restaurants and lots of food. I suspect Dreams is doing the best with what is available and I appreciate it. I am very very happy about this resort and have already recommended to my friends.

Riu Republica: Lovely resort

\nice resort, and gardens well kept. Please feed the cat.(orange brown, very friendly) Enjoyed my stay in the resort. The shows catered to the young people,. There was 2 nights when the music catered the older generation which was very nice. Like the pool area and of course the beach. Consider to go back for my next holiday (hopefully in March Hasta la vista. -Coffee is poor quality. please improve.Thank you

Paradise Playa Dorada: Outstanding 2nd Honeymoon

Terry and I checked into Grand Paradise on Dec 2 2019 and began to settle into a very nice room. Ground floor as we have some mobility issues. Room was very nice clean and was perfect location to everything. I went to get a couple of beverages and on my way to the table I popped into the grill. I use a cane and used the ramp. This was not marked with any caution signage Other areas are clearly marked. SO BE VERY CAREFUL THERE. The remainder of our stay was amazing the food was good as were the beverages. The staff are so nice. Ocean is so warm,loved our 11 days.

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Our home away from home and then some...

This was the 12th week that I've gone to this resort. Six times x 2 weeks each time. We just love this resort and Sosua. With the renovations over the past couple of years (and still ongoing), it's refreshed and just so lovely. The food is fabulous, as are the grounds and the staff. We look forward to going again in 2020.

Riu Republica: Fantastic Resort!

I’ve been to many all inclusive resorts, especially in the Dominican Republic and this was amazing! One of my favourite things about this adults only resort was diversity and age ranges from people in their 20s to 70s. They really cater to every age group and everyone has a great time. The beach is gorgeous and great for body surfing/boogie boarding. They have quieter pools if you just want to relax, nap or unwind and they have other pools for more activities and fun. Even though this is a l [... read more]arge resort, everything was very centrally located and never a far walk from any of the restaurants and bars everywhere! Most nights they had live music at the theater right before the show and the entertainment crew did a great job of getting people involved and having fun in the daily and nightly activities. The buffet always had great food! A La Carte restaurants were good too, but I found it a hit or miss mostly. Rooms are kept very clean, great water pressure and hot water in the showers! Disco was small, but always packed. Music could have been better; but overall a great atmosphere. All of the bartenders and servers had unbelievably great attitude and service. Never had to wait for a drink! Definitely a 5-Star Resort and would come back!

Occidental Caribe: Compact

Loved this resort. Layout is my fav, easy to get around. Gorgeous beach...but a lil too wavy to swim sometimes. Loved Pizza place and Tokio. We were premium level and the beds were awesome. We didn't catch any shows or go to the disco. Just stayed in lobby mostly lol.

Lifestyle Tropical Beach Resort: Relaxing vacation

Our hotel room was in pristine shape. The grounds were impeccable The staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating Food was delicious. Plenty of fish and meat dishes. Many pools. This was our fifth trip to the resort. In the past, the wine had been substandard. Great improvement in wine selection this year

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Ideal Weather

Travelled as a senior couple and enjoyed our stay however this resort is more suited to families! Pluses:-our room appeared recently renovated. Everything worked and was kept spotless by the hard working maid. -grounds and pool were well maintained and always clean -food - no complaints at either the buffet or a-la-cartes. Negatives:-check in/out area and counter very small and understaffed. Took way too long. -our room in block 22 a long, long way from the beach. The shuttles were occa [... read more]sionally full or broken down. -the beach appeared to have suffered significant erosion and was very small and crowded where the lounge chairs were for the Grand Memories guests. Nothing to do with the resort, but the flight home with Sunwing was a bit of a nightmare after experiencing a 4 hour delay in departure. Stayed Nov.25 - Dec.3, 2019 Would recommend for families with children.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Week!!

Just returned from a great week at Majestic Colonial Punta Cana. The resort is beautiful, has great food and drinks! The resort is a great size, not too small or too big. Great beach but only certain spots are swimmable. All of the restaurants are great, except for "Le Gourmet", was let down by the food and service. The Seafood, Rodeo, Buffet and Tempinyaki all exceeded expectations though. All of the shows were fantastic as well and all of the organized entertainment/sports on the beach. Th [... read more]e foam party was so much fun! But should be moved a little earlier in the day, 4pm is a little late in the day. 2 or 3 would have been better in my opinion. Overall great week and would recommend! :)

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Extremely enjoyable resort!

From arriving to leaving the resort was a pure enjoyment! The ground were kept quite nice and the surroundings were very lush! The food and the service was great in all the restaurants... we particularly enjoyed the Brazilian and Tex Mex restaurants! There was one very small sore spots about one concierge being a little aggressive about coming to to timeshare meeting and getting a free gift. We were left alone after the third day but felt we should have only had to say no once. The rooms were g [... read more]reat as well with the recent renovations! Especially like the rain shower head in the bathroom. The waterpark was great along with the beach as well. Beach was kept well groomed and it was nice to see added security at the end of the resort on the beach. Felt very safe. The hidden gem was the coffee / ice cream bar on the resort which was open from 9am -11pm. This was a great treat for us and the kids. Was treated with great drinks at all the bars and smiles on all the staffs faces! One in particular Ana at our breakfast buffet always went over and above! Miss you already! Will be returning to this resort for sure in the future.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing Resort !!!

Enjoyed every aspect of the resort and my time spent there !! Would definitely recommend and go again !!!The staff was courteous and friendly. The shows and entertainment were first class . Can’t wait to return !!

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: The best resort ever!

Everything was always kept clean, the staff was my favourite part they were so friendly and fun. The attention to detail really made the resort look the best. The beach was stunning! There was always activities to keep you busy if you want and they were so fun

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Spent 10 days here

This resort is pretty nice. The grounds are well kept. The rooms are a perfect size with great bathrooms. The rooms are nice and clean. Well stocked with water, beer and sodas. People who have been to this resort multiple times claim the food used to be outstanding so they are very disappointed. It's average but there's always something to select. I ate a lot of salad and can confirm it's washed with bottled water. Fish is good; beef is tough; chicken could be dry. My husband ate something t [... read more]hat caused him bad D for almost 3 days. We think it was the turkey but hard to tell. I tried coffee out of the machine and that was a big mistake. I suffered badly but thank goodness it only lasted 30 minutes. Stick with the coffee/milk they serve at your table. The beach is man made and well maintained. Sand is added and raked daily. Lots of loungers/tables/palapas. The first day we arrived, there seemed to be a film of oil floating on top of the water but didn't notice it the next 9 days. There appears to be a refinery of some sort on the other side. There was quite a bit of mossy grass on the bottom at first but there are some guys that spend the day scraping and netting it out. There was hardly any toward the end. The water is murky and dark; can't see your feet. However, we're beach people and went in the water daily. Best to shower off after cause your skin could feel itchy. Fabulous sunsets from this vantage point. You could actually see the sun disappear within minutes. It's a nice walk along the beach. You could even use the pool near the condos. It's usually empty or less than 4 people are in it. There are no cats but we did see 3 rats on separate occasions skittering away. They are fairly big...about the size of a nerf ball. Mosquitoes come out around 5ish so bring your repellent. Entertainment is average and ends fairly early. Their wine is ok. Not sure what they put in their Bombay gin bottles because it doesn't taste like the name brand. However, staff work hard so tip them well. We spent a nice 10 days but most likely wouldn't return. We had great weather. Rained poured down while we slept. And during the day it would sweep in and last about 10-15 minutes.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing time

We went as a group of 9 to celebrate Christmas, this was an amazing resort to celebrate family. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms spacious and clean. The drinks were excellent and the staff was amazing. We had a fabulous time and would not hesitate to return.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Our fourth time there

If your looking for an adult only resort in Punta Cana, this is the one. This December 2019 was our fourth time to this resort. It was great four years ago and has improved even more every year since. The food is great. The drink are the best and the workers are exceptional. We have gotten to know many of them by name and they recognize us each year as we return. The beach is perfect as well as the pool area. Never had a problem getting a chair on the beach or by the pool. Lots of shade if y [... read more]ou want it. The new sports bar if the best we have seen at any resort. The only complaint I have is I like to play volleyball but their beach court is poorly set up. Hopefully by the next time we go, that will have been improved.

Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing resort

My husband and I returned to Secrets Cap Cana for the second time and found the resort just as beautiful as the first time. The resort is decorated elegantly with friendly and warm staff. The beaches were calm and soothing and the food and entertainment was really good. It’s paradise.
