Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great trip!!

Very pleased with the resort and its sister resorts. All were spotlessly clean. Food was great, and we loved our penthouse rooms balcony. Trams between resorts and the beach worked seamlessly and we never waited more than 5 minutes. Often, even if the tram that arrived wasn't going where we wanted to go, the driver took us there anyway.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort for couples & families alike!

We went with friends (another couple) in mid April and stayed in the Tulum section of the resort since it is closer to the beach. The resort itself is about 1.5 hours away from the airport and is massive (three resorts in one). Pros: You have access to all the resorts. Coba is the newest and largest, which has the best restaurants and a nice lobby bar. The buffet is also better at this resort. Akumal has the 'cleanest' beach and a little more private. The excursion tours are great and the (up [... read more]graded) excursion to Chichen Itza + diving in the underground cave was a particular highlight. Highly recommended. Food is excellent - particularly the French restaurant (Le Gourmet), Seafood restaurant and Mikado (Japanese). Free dolphin show at 11AM at Tulum. Cons: The beach has a lot of seaweed at this time of year, the locals try their best to cleanup but there are better beaches elsewhere. The rooms are OK but not stunning - perhaps upgrading might be a good idea. Overall I would recommend this resort due to the pros stated above. The weather was phenomenal at this time of year and definitely do as many excursions as possible.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: They gave us a wonderful time

Spent 10 days at Anbar, the adult-only section of this humungous resort. We were looking for a quiet break from our coldest winter ever and we found heaven. We had comfortable beds in a quiet room just steps away from our restaurant and a 3-minute walk to the beach. The buffets offered a great assortment of beautifully prepared dishes and the house wines were excellent. We had a particularly memorable meal at the Italian restaurant by the beach. Without exception, from the maid to the restaurant staff, the servers, bell hops, groundskeepers and entertainers, the hotel employees worked their buns off to attend to our every need. Our only complaint (which I gather is also a problem at most resorts) is the lack of enforcement of the rule against reserving seating at the beach. It should not be necessary to haul oneself out of bed before 7:00 every a.m. in order to ensure a spot in the shade.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: An amazing resort - a little piece of Paradise.

I love the size of the El Portello and add the great service of the staff makes an amazing resort to enjoy a relaxing vacation. I love the idea of this resort being the only one the beach - makes it feel like you are on a secluded island.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Absolutely fantastic Resort!!

The hotel was wonderful, the rooms were extremely clean!!The grounds were beautiful, the staff were friendly and a lot of fun!!!!!!!!The food was awesome. Our group will definitely be returning!!!!!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Paradise

This is a great 5 star hotel. From the time you arrive at Ambar you are greeted and pampered with service. No lining up to check in. You are seated in lobby,drinks served while you fill out room info. Then your keys etc.are brought to you and the facilities are explained. Room large and clean. Food excellent and grounds,pool,everywhere was we'll maintained. Staff extremely friendly.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Really beautiful and good quality

Everything was great and very clean. Service was also great. Location of our room in bldg 64 was an excellent location, near pool and lobby. Trolley service was appreciated especially with the hot temperatures.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Lovely Resort

We stayed for a week in April 2015 at the Coba part of this resort in Mayan Riviera. Beautiful and very large. Units were clean. Air conditioners had trouble keeping up with the high temperatures at this time of year. Beach was beautiful but the drawback was having to take the 'train' to get there. The hotel was far from the beach. There are lots of pools. Food was good. Lots of variety.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice resort but could have been better

The resort is nice but seemed a bit dated. The showers were ridiculous, absolutely no water pressure and barely warm water. We travelled as a family age ranging 60yrs - 9 months. The staff were very attentive to the baby which was nice. I would have liked the buffet to be air conditioned as it is in other Gran Bahias, love this chain but found this one to fall short of our expectations. That being said for the right price we would return.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort!Amazing time!

Very clean resort....well organized and good service! We felt welcomed from the start and staff were friendly! The food was excellent everywhere we went and available all the time...had fun with family and friends!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful Resort but too crowded during our stay!

The rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful and the entertainment was great!! Unfortunately, the resort was overcrowded during our stay and was almost impossible to get chairs at the pool or beach. We ended laying our towels on the grass on more then one occasion and definitely didn't feel like 4 1/2 star quality when you can't get a lounge chair at any of the pools or the beach. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fabulous Resort!

Ambar 1 is close to the ocean, the rooms are spacious and clean, the food is great and the service spectacular! The staff in every area were very attentive and highly professional. The only thing that could use an update is the gym. Book your a la carte choices in advance of your stay as they book up fast.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: memorable vacations!

Everything was absolutely perfect from our check-in to our check-out. Fabulous food, good wine even house brand. Buffets or a la carte restaurants, everything was absolutely delicious. We will definitely go back! Great nightly entertainment. Marvelous vacations!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: wonderful resort

Grounds were exceptionally well kept. buffet had alot of choices,room was kept very clean and fridge was stocked nightl. A la carte restaurants were of the highest quality. This was our third trip at the Ambar and hope to visit again.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Wonderful Stay

Well deserved of it's positive reviews. We've been to many 4½ and 5 star resorts and this one is one of the best that we've experienced. The staff were all friendly, food was wonderful and the facilities well maintained. We were there Easter week and although we were told that the hotel was fully booked, we never had problems finding empty chairs by the beach or pool. The grounds are immaculate, lots of areas to relax or entertained, rooms clean,loved the well stocked snack places, and surprise outdoor meals, good variety of food, restaurants were amazing. Customer service needs improving.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Not bad.

We just came back from Grand Bahia Principe La Romana 2 weeks ago. The vacation went well and smooth, in overall the hotel and beach was good, even not clear see water was not dramatically. We enjoined the beach and swimming in the see. There never was a bad day to swim, no matter wind see always was calm, no waives at all. Hotel is clean and well maintained, room service amazing, but service at the lobby bar, buffet and beach buffet was a huge disappointment. Does not matter tip or not we were  [... read more]ignored by staff most of the time. The only good service we got at the beach bar closest to the adults only part and at the bar next to lobby. Kelvin is the best barman in the entire hotel. I would say the hotel is a lot family oriented, all entertainments were shut down at 11 in the evening. Which is basically not bad thing. Royal golden club privileges are a big joke.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Busy resort - not relaxing

This is a very large, busy resort. Bavaro is rated as 5 star but the rooms and amenities are not 5 star quality. The a la carte restaurants are quite good and are a welcome reprieve from the noisy main buffets. Un fortunately, we saw a cockroach in one a la carte and another in a lobby bathroom. The morning and lunch staff at the Santa Fe were excellent. Our room maid Maria was super friendly and hardworking. English is not widely spoken or understood on the resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: great hotel

The Hotel was always kept in amazing condition and the beach and pool area where always cleaned. The Hotel staff was very attentive and friendly. There where always activity's around the pool and the beach like yoga , exercises and dance lessons and the people seemed to have really enjoyed the lessons.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome place!

Gorgeous clean resort, friendly staff, lots of delicious food, and wonderful pool area. The only thing we disliked about the resort was the "sales pitch" and tour we felt pressured into doing. Other than that we would return again for sure!
