Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great vacation

Weather was perfect. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food was good, lots of selection. Hospitality was great everyone very friendly. Great beach and pool. Great snorkling. Lots to do in the area.

Esmeralda Resort: Perfect holiday

The Esmeralda resort is very private and relaxing. I didn't get the feeling there were many people staying there. The room was bright and very clean. The pool was crystal clear and felt like our own. The breakfast at the Astolobe restaurant was a perfect way to start the day. The beach was very accessible with great places to eat dinner very close by. I would definitely go back.

Renaissance Curacao: Wonderful place to stay

Nice room, great beach and pool, nice staff and wonderful service. Food was great. Grounds where very clean. Also in walking distance to all kind of events and shopping, Willemstad is a 15 min walk from the hotel.

Le Beach Hotel: Wonderful Hotel

A very comfortable and we'll run small hotel. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent location for site seeing. Wonderful Carribean atmosphere. Car rentals available on site. Local shopping close by.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: SUNSCAPE CURACAO WISH I WAS STILL THERE.

From the start to finish the hotel staff, food, amenities were awesome. The weather could not have been better and we enjoyed all the restuarants and never waited more then 15 minutes for a table. Our room had a ocean view and the sunsets were spectacular. Can't wait to return.

Curacao Marriott Beach Resort: Nice hotel

We did like the hotel, the gardens were well kept, the property was tidy and the overall place was clean. Sure the rooms are tired but the bed was comfortable and clean. Realistically you're not in your room for a long time your there to enjoy the weather and beach. However we had seen some negative reviews on the dining at this Marriot but we decided to go ahead with our trip as planned. We really should have paid closer attention to those reviews. The breakfast buffet was good and Cerita and Gechi made us feel welcome every time we went for breakfast. They get a big thumbs up from us. Chris at the Emerald Lounge also was great to talk to and was helpful with our various questions about the island. Monique our server at the Palm Cafe was terrific! We told her we were renting a car and she gave us directions to go to various places on the island and was also very attentive to our ordering preferences. Now as I said the breakfast buffet was good, the lunch menu at Palm Cafe is OK but very limited. Dinner at the Emerald Lounge was not good at all. We ordered nachos with chicken and beef and had to send them back because the chips were stale and the beef looked like it came out of a can. Then we tried the pizza the same night. It was ok but really could have been cooked longer but we didn't send it back because we were starving. Another night we decided to try the "Marriot" burger. We were asked how we wanted it cooked and I replied medium well. It came to us a little charred on each side and bloody in the middle. How can someone screw up cooking a burger? Well their cook did. Then we tried Portofino's. First time it was edible but not great. Second time the ribeye was severely undercooked and sent back. It returned slightly more cooked but was so tough it couldn't be eaten. When you spend a lot of money for and all inclusive trip you expect to have decent meals to eat. It's pretty bad that you have to go offsite to get a good meal when you've already paid for it.

Sandals Royal Curacao: Nice resort.

The resort was very nice. Staff were awesome! It is a great place to go if you want something quieter than most all inclusive so. Lots of chairs available anytime of day on beach and by the pool. Food was great but it would have been nice to have a couple other a lacarte restaurants included. This resort is very far from town or anything else so would be expensive to leave it. There is a shuttle into town but it only goes once per day and only runs if 4 people book it.

Sonesta Maho Beach: Sonesta Maho Beach

Beautiful island. The resort was good. Nothing too fancy but nothing bad either. I would stay there again. The hotel itself could use some work and make sure to get an ocean view. The island view is terrible (view of industrial workings of the hotel).

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good resort.

The beach was very nice, however if you want a long beach to walk on this is not it. There is not enough shade on the beach or pool area. The sun is intense, thank goodness for the trade winds. The food was average, the a la carte restaurants were really good one night not so much on another. The rooms were renovated three years ago, however do not look like it. The service was on and off. There is lots of room for improvement which apparently they are working on. The Sun Club is not worth it. T [... read more]he rooms are identical to the one I was in and even smaller, your romantic dinner is a few feet away from the rest of us. The so called $200.00 bonuses we did not use due to limitations, $60.00 towards dinner on the beach which was $150.00, four $10.00 coupons towards wine at $30.00 a bottle and $100.00 at the spa but only $40.00 at a time towards services priced at $125.00 or over. This was an average resort which we all feel we paid to much for $2076.00 per person the week of Feb. 21-28/16 (travelled with another couple and met one there). We made the best of things and enjoyed our week thanks to great friends.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Disappointing Stay.

My husband and I started off this vacation with high expectations. We had heard wonderful things about Curacao, and the Sunscape Resort. We have travel extensively and generally only consider ourselves particular about food. The highlights of the trip included the terrific weather daily and a number of great staff at the resort. This resort provided a less than average food experience. The buffet is small with limited selection each day, and sadly the options available are mediocre at best (wit [... read more]h the exception of the abundance of Dutch cheeses on the buffet at each meal, which was a saving grace). The a la carte restaurants also provided a less than enjoyable experience. I understand the intent of a no reservation policy, however, this led to long waits for the restaurants or early lines for an early sitting. Neither option is really ideal. Once inside the restaurants the wait for average food was long. We did not have a single remarkable meal all week. The Grill menu include a good filet, which I would recommend, and a less than decent chicken dish with a canned mushroom sauce of some sort... not good. The most enjoyable meal was the beach bbq lunch which we enjoyed from our beach chairs. We did enjoy the Asian restaurant, however, this experience is very dependent on the person working the grill table you are assigned too. All in all, the food experience alone will guarantee that we do not return to this resort. The other most disappointing issue was the evening entertainment. Less than average, limited options, ends early etc. However, the most challenging piece of this is the lack of seating in the common area "core" of the resort where entertainment is held. More than one night we found ourselves missing the entertainment because there were not enough seats in any of the common areas including the Core Zone, Cafe or lobby bar. Frustrating. Sadly this resort did not live up to its billing. We will not be returning or recommending this experience t others.

Sonesta Great Bay Beach & Casino: Dated Old Looking Hotel

Very old looking. It needs a face lift. People should not be put in rooms facing garbage/waste facility outside . No variety of restaurants. Front desk employees displayed poor customer service skills

Renaissance Curacao: Very good

The hotel was clean, friendly, great location, good food, good pool, friendly staff. When we had a problem they came right away within 10 minutes. It was close to all the shopping you could do, and see the cruise ships coming in.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Resort

If you like small resorts, this one was very nice and clean. Staff was always friendly and food was great. A La Carte's every night, no reservations, you can keep going to the ones you prefer. Mine was the Italian, although the Steak house was very good also. Beach is not the best, lots of rocks and can't go far, gets deep fast. It was great to go in town, lots of vendors and lots of stores to shop at. First time went with a tour guide, second trip, went by ourselves with a bunch of friends!

Alamanda Resort: Beautiful resort great location

Great location so close to the beach ,lots of activities for all ages on the beach or just sit relax and enjoy the beautiful view.very friendly staff and helpful. Enjoyed our stay.Great restaurants near by.

Sonesta Maho Beach: disappointed

couple things driving my decision not to return, fortunately both are fixable. We were at the back of the hotel, when we booked we didn't think this would be an issue.However when we arrived the smell ,noise and sight was unacceptable.This was discussed with the front desk and the Sunwing rep with no resolution... not surprised as there were many others complaining of the same issues. Furthermore on departure at the airport I was astonished at the amount of folks there talking and discussing wit [... read more]h other passengers that they would never return. this issue could be corrected by enclosing the water treatment and updating the fans and exhausting away from the hotel, cost a few $ but would drive the complaints down considerably = return costumers! The other issue was the attitude of the staff ( again overheard by many others). to be fair not all staff, the chap handing out towels and the buffet staff were all cordial enough. The chap on the beach clearing is not happy to be there, miserable and made us feel as if we were a nuisance . Also the bar staff, again it was as if we were a bother to them... if the manager were to watch them from a distance, notice how often they have their back to the counter, not very welcoming. This could also be corrected , there are many courses available on people skills and dealing with customers. I'm not sure that this will go anywhere , however with the number of people I heard complaining and thinking the same way as myself from nothing more than a business mentality it should be forwarded to the manager. regards John Vanderhorst

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good

The people were friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The food was amazing, with plenty of restaurant to go around and no reservations. Small beach but beautiful. The rooms are something else, clean but service was horrible to say the least. They would take their tip but not leave towels or soaps

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great holiday at Sunscape Resort Curacao

Just had a great one week all inclusive vacation at Sunscape. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Washrooms adequate for the amount of time we spent in the rooms, however an update could be in order. We had a ground floor suite so the Garden View patio came in useful several times. It had a slight view to the ocean. Food - lots to choose from and easy to get into restaurants. Lots of bars with friendly staff. Beach and pools were great with lots of areas to lounge for everyone. Beach was always  [... read more]clean. Only problem was the room was next to the staff lounge, so we lost a little sleep from some of the noise they would make late evening and early morning. There was always a gentle breeze at the resort so mosquitos didn't seem to be a huge issue.

Palace St. Martin: very good place

stayed in a suite the room was very nice could not ask for better. the food and service were very satisfying. The resort is very secluded. the beach is small but clean. i would go back again . I rate this resort a four and a half star

Divi Little Bay Beach Resort: Good times

The hotel older, in maintenance mode, and they stuggle to keep up. The odd thing is "not perfect", but the place is comfortable, clean and functional. It is monitored by Timeshare sales people. They can be annoying, but handled. You are told that tips are included in your normal price for things, but Tip jars are everywhere on the resort. The wind always blows, the surf always roars, nice beach, but not lit after dark. Beach walks after dark are risky due to the sand flys and the holes in the sa [... read more]nd left by umbrella poles. Nightly entertainment was good. There are party's hosted by the resort, designed to convince you to buy Timeshare after filling you with free alcohol. Bar prices fluctuate based in time of day. Beer at 1 US penny per milliliter suddenly becomes twice that after sun down.

Sonesta Kura Hulanda Village And Spa: Great base for exploring the island

The hotel is perfectly located within picturesque historic Willemstad, close to everything the city has to offer. Clearly, considerable effort went into the restoration of the property but things still look quite shabby here and there. Our room (deluxe) was rather good and clean, though I think they really need to replace very old fabrics and tapestry. Staff is great and people seem to be trying very hard, everyone was very helpful and accommodating. The restaurants are quite pricey as others ha [... read more]ve noticed, but other dining options in Willemstad are not really cheap either. Overall, this is a great place if you want to explore Curacao on your own while staying in its lively capital. You do need a car to go anywhere else though. The hotel doesn't have a beach, nor there is one close by, but there are amazing beaches on Curacao that you don't want to miss. They do have a shuttle to their other property with a beach (you need to sign up in advance, space is limited), but it's not as good as some others. Hotel has a couple of pools. They are small but quite nice.
