Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: 4 to 5 star resort. Not luxury.

The hotel staff and grounds are very nice. Food was good. Entertainment was okay during the day and night. But i would rather stay at Tulum or Akumal across the highway where they had very nice buffets and ala carte meals. Rooms were clean, and stocked daily. Beach is at the other hotels. Adults only was the only benefit compared to the other hotels across the highway. I brought my table tennis racquet to play like any resort and the table had been broken. They had across the highway 2 at each h [... read more]otel and would not bring 1 over until replaced with there service trucks. Excuses where many, but not common sense was used.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful Grounds, Beautiful People

In general, we had a great stay at Bougainville. The resort grounds were very well kept. The staff were very pleasant and always willing to assist. Plenty of events planned throughout the day, if you want to be involved. Food, drinks and fresh water was always available. We had a couple issues during our stay but they were addressed promptly and efficiently. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Not the beach you are looking for...

We have been to many resorts around the Caribbean, and understand that different standards apply to different countries. That being said, when choosing a resort in the Dominican Republic, blue water and white sand beaches come to mind (and the food can be overlooked). This resort does not have beautiful beaches - the water is brown and not attractive. The food is fine (nothing to write home about) and the kitchen staff is polite and moderately attentive. Lounge chairs were very difficult to find after 9am, despite the usual rule of not "saving" chairs. Overall, I would say it was fine, but would not return.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation

The hotel met our expectations. Check-in was quick and seamless as we had checked in online prior to our trip. Our room was lovely in a great location. The property is huge but we enjoyed our walks and when we were tired the shuttle was convenient and came by every few minutes. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Food and service was great with one exception. The system in place at The Truck or La Isla with ordering online and then waiting for food was disorganized and does not  [... read more]work. There were people lined up 5 deep with up to 20 orders ready to go on the counter but they were serving directly from the kitchen instead. It’s a disaster. That is my only complaint about this resort. Otherwise I highly recommend it, the beach and many pools are great, food was excellent. We enjoyed our choices of a la cartes, also booked in advance online. Only one day we walked around for almost an hour looking for lounge chairs at every pool and the beach. We resorted to what is not recommended reserving chairs in the early hours as everyone else does. Great resort, good service, good location.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Best All Inclusive

The resort was beautiful with gorgeous landscaping. Staff were so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make guests experience special. The food was delicious. Christmas and NewYear’s Eve dinners were the best we’ve ever had. Entertainment was top notch. We can’t rate this resort highly enough and hope to return.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Cleaning is not perfect

Hi Thete,me and my husband are really enjoyed our vacation , but when a cockroach appeared in the room.. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Not a five star

We went over new years. The hotel staff were great for the most part but seemed like they were understaffed at times. We have never experienced a 5* were you had to wear wrist bands, check your towels out and back in as well as book our restraints in advance. The food was tasteless which was a huge disappointment. Asking for any kind of hot sauce seemed to be so far fetched. Would not stay at this chain again.

We stayed on th3 grand side (friends on the luxury side). Scheduling an al carte dinner was very challenging for us (luxury no problems) an trying to schedule together we were told can't happen (by the grand side) luxury side offered to help, but there were no openings. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice resort !!

Grounds were well kept. Pools clean and great entertainment staff. Food at Buffet was always good. Rooms very nice and spacious. Very big resort, so a fair bit of walking especially to get to ocean. Only issue I know of was a few people got sick out both ends. No top shelf liquor unless you pay way more

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Family Friendly Resort with lots to do

A family friendly resort that was perfect for my crew of 5. We stayed in a 2BR Family suite that was large enough to accommodate my 3 teenagers without feeling like we were on top of each other. King bed and 2 sofa beds were comfortable and 2 large bathrooms was gave each family member there own space to get ready. Beautiful clean pools that provided a great place to relax or go to the beach pool where the atmosphere was energetic. The a la carte restaurants were delicious (especially the Garden Grill) with the buffets having a good variety of items. The grounds are large but very manageable to walk. The trolley system is quite efficient and comes around frequently. A wonderful and economical vacation for a family looking to relax and enjoy the sun and friendly people.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Paradise on earth

Luxury Amber is really all inclusive what ever your hart desires. Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Hotel grounds is well maintained, lush, close to the ocean, all around ambient feeling. Daily a 'la dinners with a choice of abondance of buffet service would satisfy all the needs of taste buds and cocktails, drinks and cappuccinos all day long - excellent design and executions. Nothing more to add. Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fun Resort

Was there December, 13, it's a fun resort pros- Staff are very welcoming and friendly and helpful. Food- restaurants are good, jerk chicken by the pool and down at the beach awesome, buffet just ok can improve on the food and more choices. Entertainment from the pool to the theater was great the sports bar is a great place to unwind and the terrace as well good music to relax to. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Absolutely fantastic

This is my second time to the mayan riviera but the first time at the bahai principe coba. I found everything at this resort to be top notch from the moment I checked in. The courtesy from the resort staff added to the experience and the resort itself made my week-long stay that much more enjoyable. I would definitely return in the future. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Wonderful way to escape the Christmas craziness

I traveled here alone and met my friends staying in the neighbouring block (Tulum) the following day of my stay. I felt safe, well fed, and so relaxed on day 1. That didn't change for the next six days. The gym facilities and equipment are expansive and clean, the transport between resorts from Tulum to Coba to Sian Ka'an are all so accessible, the a la carte restaurants are beautiful and they accommodated all of my requests for pescatarian meals. A note: some margaritas were better than others, and I was curious why I never met a woman bartender. If you find a bartender you like, stick with them for consistency of your drinks. The beaches were gorgeous. If you stay at akumal you can walk along the beach all the way to the neighbouring resort. Some sections are quieter than others, and some lounge chair blocks are reserved for Sian Ka'an or Privilege Club guests. If you don't want to be near the entertainment or music in the day time, seeking out a quieter beach isn't difficult at all. The adults only section of Akumal near bar 66 and the infinity pool got a bit busy during my time there, it seemed to be a bit of a tourist attraction for guests, but that is easily remedied by going wherever else your heart desires on the massive property. Perfect for our family. Safe and clean, lots of entertainment. Beach was amazing and snorkeling was so much fun! Pools were cold but my daughter enjoyed them. Lots of options for food in a friendly atmosphere!

If you have not been to an all inclusive before then this place may not disappoint. However, if you have previous experiences of an inclusive then you may be disappointed - limited beach, sub par nightly entertainment, and staff willingness to support while on vacation is sub par. Also, important to be aware that locals are able to purchase day passes to access the resort and they lack the social awareness and were very rude to other guests in the resort. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: nice resort but bad beach

rooms are good, tubs are a little high for old folks to step into, glass enclosure leads to much water on the floor leading to possible accident getting out of tub.. grounds are beautiful. pools are good. door to buffet should be in the middle so you don't have to walk so far if sitting in far corner at back of room. need to put a break out in ocean so beach is protected or allow access to the akumal beach.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Terrible experience- Avoid this hotel!

I cannot stress enough how awful my stay at this hotel was. From the very beginning, communication was a nightmare. The staff, aside from the receptionists, spoke little to no English, making it extremely difficult to get anything done or even ask simple questions. The language barrier created constant frustration, especially when dealing with the people running activities by the pool. On the third day of our stay, we found ourselves unable to open the room safe. After calling the security team [... read more], they came to fix the problem. When they opened it, we discovered that 5500 pesos had been stolen from the safe. The situation escalated further as the head of security did not speak English, and we had to rely on a translator to communicate. Their response was unprofessional and infuriating. They promised an investigation, asking us to wait 72 hours, but after that period, we heard nothing. When we followed up, there was still no resolution, and ultimately, they took no responsibility for the theft. In the end, we lost our money, and the hotel showed no effort to rectify the situation. We were left feeling completely abandoned and disrespected. Save yourself the trouble—stay somewhere else. This place is a nightmare.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Our third time and we will go back.

The best thing about the Sian Ka'an is the staff. From the trolley drivers, to the servers, to the entertainment crew, everyone went out of their way to make our stay perfect. Upon arrival, our transfer took forever, so we missed our dinner reservations over at COBA, but the Maiko, as busy as it was, squeezed us in and we really appreciated that. She even helped me change times of reservations to earlier, as I could only get late reservations through the app. We spent most of our time at the activity pool. I love this pool because it's small, intimate, and a great place to meet other travellers. The entertainment staff were AMAZING. I loved chatting and getting to know them, and I was lucky to win two bottles of tequila playing games. A BIG shout out to Juan, Alexander, Grecia, and Ivan, and also to our poolside server Melissa who always had a smile of her face! We enjoyed the restaurants and the lobby bar, and Aremi at Maiko, Sebastian and Antonio Katok, and Manuela, the evening server at the lobby bar were lovely. I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Jose at the Cenote Bar. We stopped there every night for a glass of wine, and sometimes french fries, lol. He was such a nice guy, always smiling and happy to see us. (So were the racoons when we got fries, lol!) The trolly drives always went out of their way when the could. Sometimes when people had been waiting too long, they would take them where they needed to go, even if they had to go out of their way. They really cared about the guests. The resort, grounds, pool and beach are beautiful and well kept. The room was disappointing. It is dated, definitely some mold and needs some improvements. We enjoyed the restaurants and the employees were wonderful!
