El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Resort review

This resort is very beautiful and the grounds are kept in an immaculate manner. We were in the adults only section, the pool area was great no kids however the buffet area which is supposed to be adults only section had a lot of kids running around despite signs saying adults only. I think the staff should have intervene and remind parents about this. I would also say that 60 percent of the staff were not friendly and service was slow in the buffet area for breakfast and lunch. He would offer lots of other people in the pool area drinks but ignore us, avoided eye contact with us. We even tipped him quite a bit to see if the service would be better but it wasn't. We ended up getting our own drinks. The nightly shows were too late, starting at 9:30 and were not very good. They cancelled the beach party claiming it was going to rain. There was no rain in the forecast. They could have changed it to another day. The beach is beautiful but lots of seaweed that is not cleaned up.

Ocean Coral Spring: Definitely not a 4+ resort

Let's start with Check-in it was a horrible experience. We went with a large group and everyone's rooms were all wrong it took us over 1 hour to check in. Food quality was Ok. I was very disappointed that none of the food had any allergens labeled. My daughter has celiac and there was nothing she could eat for breakfast thank goodness I had brought her bread with me at least she could have that with an egg. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Good Resort

Just returned from a week long vacation Nov 13-20. The resort is very clean, renovations being done on some of the El Beso privilege and regular rooms and the Villa Marina restaurant(which is running temporarily in the evening outside at Ocean Burger. We stayed in El Belso ocean view 4401, which had a great ocean view. Minor problem with deadbolt it wouldn’t latch . Went to reception, maintenance was at room with ten minutes to fix it. Huge covered balcony two chairs and a table Buffet lots of choices. Good food but it was not all that hot. If you like it hotter, they have a microwave for guests to use. Waiter service at the Adult pool was the best we have ever experienced anywhere. Ricardo is a tireless worker and how he remembers what you were drinking is amazing. El Beso for lunch one day, the fish tacos are amazing and so is the ravioli and grilled sausages(appetizers). Went to Ocean burger for lunch one day, was very disappointed. Processed hamburger Pattie’s , very dry, bun dry, ordered signature Coral burger came undressed had to ask for lettuce, onion, no pickles no peanut sauce, which is fine but why have signature burgers listed and not dress them according to their menu. Found that strange. Will not be eating at Ocean burger again. Dinner at the Italian (in door), minestrone soup was good as was the ravioli, Caesar salad is good but a different presentation ( full romaine lettuce leafs with salad dressing, croutons and cheese , you have to cut it up and mix it up). Had the seafood linguine (which is technically an appetizer) but they made it my main it was very good. My husband had the chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta and he was disappointed, chicken was over cooked and dry and a very small portion of angel hair pasta. Enjoyed the Abba tribute outdoors one evening. Very entertaining. Breakfast at the buffet, standard fare, good, great service , something for everyone. Lunch at Route 66 very good the seafood ceviche delicious nachos , quesadillas and chicken nuggets all good Dinner at the buffet on Italian night, a little underwhelming. Pasta was good as was the chicken parmigiana. They need more people manning the pasta station to get the line moving but I understand everywhere is struggling with hiring staff. Overall good but would not have suspected it was Italian night if I was not told in advance Dinner at Villa Marina tonight excellent Carlos the waiter was great. Chocolate martini from lobby bar is delicious . We did experience issues trying to get new pool towels, but wasn’t a show stopper for us, we just kept ours the whole week. The beach was well maintained and the setup with chairs and palapa’s are plentiful and close to the ocean. The ocean was warm and for the most part sea grass free. My observation of this part of the coast is that the water is not the aqua blue that I am used to seeing further down the coast towards Playa del Carman and Akumal . Overall enjoyed our experience at OCT.

Ocean El Faro: Awesome resort

This resort deserves a 5 plus rating. We have been to a lot of resorts in Dominican Mexico Cuba Jamaica but we keep coming back here at ocean el faro it is our 4th time and won’t be our last. Grounds are well lit and clean. The lazy river is so much fun and exciting and all the pools are beautiful and well maintained. The beach is a bit rocky but still good. Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing resort!

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The service, food, drinks, the pools and grounds were amazing! We received a free upgrade to our room. I recommend getting the privileged package as you’re treated more like VIP!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great restort, not so great food

Overall the resort is massive and beautiful, the beach, while a bit rocky is great too. Our room was big, clean and very aesthetically pleasing, especially given the relatively low price. The servers and bartenders are all very polite and helpful. The one problem is the food is not up to standard. The buffet and the restaurants food is very bland or in some cases just cooked poorly, the one exception is the Italian restaurant, it is pretty good. We found ourselves going out for dinner off the re [... read more]sort on 3 of the 7 days. If you don't like your food with salt or steak seared properly than you'll enjoy the resort food.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Resort

This resort was fantastic. Beautiful rooms, very well kept, very clean, fantastic restaurants and amazingly friendly staff. Although we didn't travel with our kids, it was very easy to notice what a great family resort it is, as well as being a great place for just adults, providing you stay on the adults only side. The only complaint was the travel with Air Transat. Once we got there we waited about 1.5hrs for our luggage. Then when departing, we were picked up at 7am for our 1215pm flight so  [... read more]we sat in the airport for about 4.5 hours waiting around.

Ocean El Faro: Nice family resort.

The overall experience was good! We are a family of 2 adults and 3 kids (one of them is 7month old). The hotel amenities are just good for families with kids (Waterpark, lazy river, playground, kids club, all areas are equipped for strollers, high chairs). My kids loved lazy river and great number of pools, I also liked Waterpark as I was mostly there with an infant. The beach area is good, but it's always stormy at Punta Cana, so it was dangerous to swim in the ocean(red flag almost all of  [... read more]the time). Food was OK, but sometimes they run out of some meals and don't replenish (even if it was still 1 h before breakfast ends up). Also they often run out of dry beach towels at the pool changing stations. This happened twice to us. We were trying to get dry towels in early afternoon and they said they don't have any. Ala carte restaurants are good (we visited sacura (Japanese), Dolce vita (Italian) and Margarita ( Mexican ). Shows are average. I would still recommend this hotel. It's good.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing Resort

From the time me and my family arrived at the resort the service has been fantastic; the staff were very friendly and helpful. To name a few, Andrai at the front desk, Miguel at the coffee cart, Ramon lobby staff and Carlos at the Pez Vela beach restaurant, however all the staff were great. We stayed at the Eden building, which is located close to the beach and the pool. I liked that the staff all wore mask which made me feel comfortable asking questions at a closer range, sometimes the speaki [... read more]ng a different language under a mask could be misleading at times. Not to mention the food, it's the best buffet food I have ever had, I also liked that the staff was constantly cleaning and replenishing dishes. I would definitely go back to Ocean Riviera Paradise.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Relaxing Escape

The first resort that we have ever stayed at with a lazy river. That alone is worth returning! So much fun! The rooms are spacious, ours came with a rooftop hot tub! With 2 large pools (4 if you count the family side of the resort) and the specialty restaurants were all great. The buffet was also a place to fill up too, if you wished. And then there was Mike's Cafe. Every night we would stop in for some freshly brewed coffee and dessert. One of our most relaxing vacations.

Everything about the resort and the staff were amazing the only complaint is on weekends, noon on Friday until noon on Sunday the locals that visit for this time are rude and pushy, they take over the buffet and the plaza area.

Everything was great at this resort, from the grounds, rooms staff. The only thing would be they need more garbage cans around the property, not enough around. Our butler Alexander was amazing, he deserves a BIG raise for all the stuff he puts up with. He made us feel welcomed and appreciated.

Everything was great. The ocean and the pool were lovely, the food was amazing. Everything was clean and well-tended. The coffee shop deserves extra praise for the delicious coffee and cozy vibes. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

I had a great time , good food good drinks. Had more than 1 Saury special . The staff were amazingly friendly (Angel) we had a swim up room and upgraded to privilege. Used the privilege restaurant for breakfast mostly (best coffee). But this upgrade was not worth the $ . The lazy river is the best feature !! I did many laps .

Before to say something about this resort we have to keep in mind that on 21 of September, Fiona was there, with damaging winds & waves... Issues...yes...but they struggle to get things going, step by step... Beautiful hotel, amazing Roof top room with Jacuzzi. Close to whatever many of us they dream for a perfect vacation... Housekeepers doing a great job!! Excellent food! U have to know what to ask for drinks, otherwise u get a lot of ice in your glass(international method for bartenders in [... read more] the resort). To my surprise, entertainment was good, excepting Friday to Sunday, when resort was invaded by locals (2 nights Pass), and everything from music to food was for them. Bonding between staff, @ any level, was strong & loud...honestly like we never exist there like tourists...This is not a complain, is strict reality... The worst part was yet to come when we left the hotel for the Airport...We got squeezed in a ridiculous small bus, people & luggage, totally uncomfortable for a 45-minute trip...No excuses, no explications, nada...Just get in the car & leave...That was all of us impression... Other than this, beautiful weather, not a drop of rain during the day. I will definitely come back here!

Loved this resort! Lazy River so much fun, had no idea I would spend so much time in it. Adult only the way to go plus Privildge- do it! Your own restaurants and bars with better/top shelf alcohol well worth it. Lobby, hotel room perfect, piano bar fun. Bowling!!!! And entertainment - truly best resort.

Ocean Blue and Sand: More wrong then right

Grounds were well maintained, rooms for us and 15 family members were in good condition, minor repair issues. Most staff friendly and attentive. Buffet food limited choice but adequate, a-la-cartes rotated closing, no notice. Most had better cuts, choices on menu for $$$, same with alcoholic drinks, limited inclusive, lots for $$. Restaurant near beach closed all week for lunch until weekend day pass guests arrived. I paid for Privilege service, which ment room was close to beach, but no Resta [... read more]urant near now. One pool closed for week, but opened as we checked out. Sunday, very crowded with week end day pass guests on Saturday. My Butler quit second day, no replacement, calling Privilege reception for anything, required several calls even though they said "yes, right away" . Shuttle service seemed to stop at 6 pm, prime dinner time. One daughter needed wheel chair, they wanted over $500., but saw others who had them free. Beach erosion worse then pictures show, now 4-5 foot cliff for most of beach front forcing loungers and bali-beds to be jammed in small area. Requested bell boy and shuttle for 12 noon check out Sunday,,several calls by me, but 45 minutes late and sent a truck with one seat. Told us they had to check out 400 rooms at noon, shuttle priority for week enders over guest staying all week. HOWEVER...the weather was sunny, hot, no rain all week.

Ocean Maya Royale: The best stay!

Absolutely beautiful resort and the entertainment staff are unforgettable. Great night activities as well. Usually don’t visit the same resort twice but this may have changed my mind. Definitely recommend it.
