Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Everything great except for the bed in the room

I was happy with the resort except for that we only had water stations and when I went to get water from the water station outside our room it was filled with sludge and than when we checked into our room room 3007 the bed was damp we reported it to the desk and that we wanted to be moved but because they were Full the couldn’t move us and within two days I was sick because Of sleeping in a damp bed and when one of our friends touched our bed they couldn’t get over how wet it was and we even t [... read more]urned the air conditioning off and it didn’t help so my week of vacation I was sick and came home Sick and ended up on antibiotics and puffers because Of it I will never stay on the ground floor again.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Beautiful resort!!!

We had a great time at Iberostar Del Mar in Mayan Riviera, Mexico Food was amazing, lots of wildlife there such as peacocks, flamingos, swans, many types of different birds and LOTS of coati just to name a few Great shows as well but we didn't pay for any (shouldn't they ALL be included) As repeat customers, we were greeted by name and welcomed.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Beautiful Property very Quiet!

The grounds and outdoor spaces are beautiful. I found the property lacking in entertainment. There was only 1 day that they had activities around the pool. The shows dont start until after 10pm and the disco was not always open. The rooms were cleaned everyday and i actually had to turn my hot water down it was so hot! I was in BLd 19. We went with another couple and our door hardly ever would lock, and they had to to go get keys changed several times a day. The other 3 people who wer [... read more]e with me (my spouse/another couple) ended up deathly ill for 2 days not sure the exact cause (water/food/ice etc) and we missed an excursion. I did not notice any shortages there was always drinks/mix/coffee/eggs etc.. If you like the nightlife, games and activities I would not recommend this resort.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Enjoyed our stay

We stayed at laguna azul from feb 15th to 23 First on arrival was at 1230am , no help for luggage and 4th floor room and elevators broken . We survived that and got our exercise. First morning I was pleasantly surprized by the garden view and open air hallway staircase . Clean and very well kept. Walk to the beach was only a few minutes sunrise was one of my favorite things always greeted by "holas " good mornings from workers starting their Day either cleaning the pool beach or general kit [... read more]chen staff . Grounds were very well maintained and pools 1 was down for resurfacing but the swim up one was enough for everyone plus 2 other quieter pools for relaxing we enjoyed them all . Beach was being dug up and wasn't quiet all week due to tractors trucks and dozers. But understandable needed to be done as sea wall erosion was evident . Our room was always cleaned and new towels made into animals daily . Water was never an issue. . We did upgrade to relax but really wasn't needed as any rime we were hungry did snack bar or buffet . Did enjoy the Japanese a la carte . Entertainment was nightly but same dancing got a little blah . Sadly was not impressed by animation , no real personal touch ,no kids shows no schedule followed or couldn't find where to go to look . All in all it was a great resort . Sun and fun you make yourself . Could be a bit more personal .. at end of our week new staff were on and things perked up and we felt the love .. thanks to oneysis and dania they went over and above

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Beautiful resort

This was a beautiful resort and the food was amazing. The rooms were fairly clean but think the cleaners rush way too quickly. We were there for 14 days and never used the hot tub outside on our balcony until day 8 or 9. We had to ask the cleaning staff to remove the leaves and the dirt and clean the table on the patio. The air conditioner shut down on us one night, (waited for someone to show up but no one did). It broke down on us 3 times at night and so we were nervous to adjust the tempera [... read more]ture. The water station for filling up our water was broken mid way through our trip. I asked for more water one day and they said they’d bring me some but none. We loved the ocean view but found we were hardly in the room long enough to enjoy it. We had three hot tubs with our grandson and he loved it. I don’t know what prices are for a room that doesn’t have a patio but our room was extremely expensive for not using it for much but sleeping and no air conditioning those nights.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Good resort

Hotel is nice. Buffet is good. A la carte restaurants were not good. The beach is nice but not enough chairs. The rooms are nice. The snack bar was good with fresh pizza and other snacks. The bartenders are great!

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Good Resort With Helpful Staff

Good resort I spent a week at. Endless white sand beaches, palm trees at the pool and helpful staff. The food left much to be desired. Not recommended for vegetarians or vegans. I was given ‘vegetable soup’ at the Criollo restaurant that had chicken in it. Though they did go out of their way to accommodate me at the Japanese restaurant. Clean rooms, good food, friendly people with great entertainment. We had no complaints. Our ocean view was breath taking. Monkeyland, Ocean world and the Waterfalls of Damajagua were the highlights of our trip

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Quiet vacation

We spent 7 days at Coral Esmeralda and don't have any complaints. If you've been to Cuba before, you come with lower expectations than other countries. They have limited supplies and resources, but we never felt like we were missing anything. We brought our own condiments for meals and although there was not a lot of variety, we never went hungry. The lunch pizzas were quite good but normally a bit of a wait. The buffet restaurant could be improved as you often eat at tables that have not been c [... read more]leaned and do not have cutlery. No music around the beach or pools so it's not very lively, but you do have the option to go over to the sister resort for more action. Beach is absolutely perfect. Entertainment is extremely limited. If you are going for a quiet, affordable beach vacation, this might be a great spot.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Nice resort with beautiful beach.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Damp Smelly Rooms

We expected this so called 5 star resort to really stand up to its reputation which I eventually realised has been built through fake reviews. We were given a smelly/damp room that smelled of Mold and it took the resort 3 days to change our room. Thats more than half of our vacation spent in a smelly room, its a shame I can't get my money back. The reception made false promises and we had to spend most of our time in the heat outdoors to save ourselves from the mold. I went on to read some of th [... read more]e negative reviews about this resort and realised that this is a common problem that people face there. PLEASE BE CAREFUL. The resort pool and beach area are great and the entertainment team is excellent, the food is average. The drinks are good. The resort could have easily helped us by changing our room when we complained but its just upsetting that a so called 5 star resort will make you spend 3 days in a DAMP room!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: If you want to be treated like s@#t this is the hotel for you.

The only good thing about this hotel was my cleaning lady. Five stars for that women, she was kind, considerate and did and amazing job. Now for the hotel…..rudest front desk people I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Right from the second we got there the women behind the desk treated us like we were an irritant. I paid extra to have th [... read more]e prestige package only to find out that gets you NOTHING. The concierge I was supposed to have didn’t come in due to illness. (I completely understand being sick not mad about her health) when I inquired about her because the number they gave me to get a hold of her wasn’t being answered I was told she was out and nobody would be filling in for her???? The hotel itself was clean, run down and elevators not working but over all the hotel wasn’t bad. If they could fired everyone and start over maybe it would be a decent resort but DEFINITELY not worth the money

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Overall a good holiday with some issues.

We stayed at the Iberostar Laguna Azul from Feb 10th to 17th. Overall we had a good experience, having come in with realistic expectations. The resort is very beautiful and must have been really something at one time. A number of areas are under construction; pool, beach, some of the buildings and rooms. A short walk on the beach and you can see the splendor of Varadero beaches. We stayed in the "relax zone" which gave us access to a very nice private pool and sit down breakfast and lunch, which [... read more] we really liked. There were shortages, some days no coffee or eggs. We took a day trip to Havana that was spectacular. On our tour, we talked to vacationers from other hotel and most said their hotel had no shortages. At our hotel there were a majority of Russian guests. While most were very polite, we did have a few "bad encounters" with drunk people at the bars. For that reason, we won't be returning to Cuba any time soon.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Could be better.

Grounds are well kept, good selection of food. Service was terrible at the buffet, sometimes no service at all. Pools were under renovation, bulldozers at the beach, and elevators were not working. Not worth upgrading to relaxed as you really don’t get much extra. Not many activities going on, bartenders weren’t happy when you order non alcoholic drinks. No slushy drinks.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: WOW! The customer service is top shelf!

We stayed at the Iberostar Costa Dorada from Feb. 11 - 18, 2024. The resort itself is a bit on the small side, older and a bit dated. That is pretty much it for the negatives. The Costa Dorada is a beautifully landscaped and clean resort, situated well on a beautiful stretch of beach. The ocean was rough the week we were there which limited the time on the beach and in the ocean, but the sand was always clean during the day. If you are staying 7 or more nights you are guaranteed 3 to 4 reservati [... read more]ons at one of their 3 a la carte restaurants. After you use your guaranteed reservations you can make additional reservations after noon the day of (this was not well communicated so we didn't find out until our last day). We ate at the Japanese restaurant twice (teppanyaki) the first time was great and very high energy, the second was not high energy and a bit disappointing. The Italian restaurant was also very good, my wife went back a second time just for the risotto. The best part of the resort was the staff! The concierge were amazingly helpful and friendly. George was our primary concierge and helped make reservations and provided information about the resort and the area and some pointers on excursions. When George wasn't there Lis and the rest of the team were equally helpful. The service staff at the restaurants take obvious pride in their jobs and were so help and friendly. The staff at the buffet were very friendly and attentive and really helped get the morning off to a good start. I wish I knew the name of the cook at the omelet station for our first 4 days, he was great and entertaining :). The resort is nice and the weather can't be beat but it is the people of the Costa Dorada that really made our vacation! We would definitely go back.

Hotel Bella Costa: Great resort!

The staff were all amazing and friendly. We had a large variety of food everyday with no shortages of any kind. The pool and beach was beautiful and clean. They even helped plan a beautiful private dinner for my mom’s birthday. Live shows every night and really just a great ambiance all around. The only thing to note is the rooms are dated but still kept clean. I would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone looking to go to Cuba!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful resort

We have been to Cuba many times, but this time we vacationed at Iberostar Selection Ensenachos in Cayo Santa Maria and from the first day we felt at home. Excellent management and honest, dedicated employees make our stay at this resort pleasant and stress-free. Clean rooms, great swimming pools, huge selection of food, rich greenery, beautiful beach, peace and relaxation. Thank you to everyone at Iberostar Selection Ensenachos for a wonderful 14 days of vacation.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Small, quiet Reaort

Small , quieter resort. Great clean beach, staff nice. Cleanliness not ideal, bathroom in hotel and public smelled of urine always. Did have a cockroach in room and seen outside. Lots of mosquito and bites. Often no toilet paper, or asked for tip to use. Grounds nice, buildings dated. Food good and plenty considering Cuba.

The grounds beautiful at night. The animals are amazing. The staff was great, very good hotel. If you have allergies they look after you Ten Out of ten. The rooms were kept clean every day, the food lots. Overall it was a very good trip ps not recommended if you are a smoker.

Had the pleasure of vacationing at the Iberostar in Myan Riveria Mexico What a lovely resort the ground are stunning both at daytime and night time Plenty of wildlife to see Hawks being trained through out the resort Beautiful Peacocks Flamingos Parrots lots of little creatures very amazing!!
