Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

Wyndham Alltra Cancun was a beautiful resort. The food was some of the best we have had on vacation. Taco bar on the beach was a favorite. Grill by main pool had some of the best chicken wings I've eaten. The burgers at the resort was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. A la cart restaurants were all delicious and no reservations needed. They also have a candy shop which served delicious coconut ice cream. Not to mention they include room service until 11pm at night. Service was amazing [... read more] and all the staff was friendly and accommodating. The theater for the nightly show isn't the best and honestly from attendance you can tell most people don't know about it. However the shows were decent but better advertising of the theater would be beneficial for them. Not a complaint but the pools are on the smaller size but never felt crowded.

The Pyramid Cancun: Its not bad resort!

Its very big hotel, I can not say its bad, but its fair at all! The application nit very good to book the restaurant and its very to book the restaurants, ask to bringing the water or other things to the room was very difficult, there is no waiter or waitress beside the swimming pool and sea, nice pools, nice beach but extremly busy!

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: Not the best

Food options and quality is not that great, other resorts beat this one in this category. Not a lot of activities to do compared to other resorts. Otherwise an OK resort to stay at, friendly staff and good service.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Amazing hotel.

Our vacation went very great. We were happy to visit this wonderful place. Amazing resort with friendly stuff,delicious food,entertainments and beautiful beach.We love the place and definitely will come again ?

Atelier Playa Mujeres: Great place to stay!

The hotel is gorgeous, very clean and grounds are beautiful rooms are fantastic but the people make the resort what it is everyone was so friendly - Julio at the pool and Oscar at Casa de Luna were especially fantastic!

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Pretty Good!

Rooms - we stayed in the grand family swim up, and it was amazing! Perfect for a family. Food - BLoved was the best option, so I definitely recommend getting a Privilege category room. The food was generally fine. Nothing to write home about, but lots of options and everything was good. Service - generally good! Beach - a few rough and windy days, and then a little seaweed as a result, but totally swimmable 6/7 days we were there. Entertainment - I’m not here for it, but if I were, I wou [... read more]ld have been disappointed. Very few activities, even for kids. It’s a little boring. I wish they’d lean into the family vibe and have more fun activities.

Hotel Dos Playas Faranda: Great Resort

The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked well, bed was comfortable and there was always hot water with great pressure. The resort is older and could use some maintenance (holes and uneven in some of the walkways). Food was good, although a little more variety would have been nice. However, you could get hamburgers, hotdogs, pizza and sushi during the day. Nightly entertainment. Beautiful, swimmable beach. The buffet restaurant closes at 10:30pm and there is no where covered to go after that. It rained one night so people just went to their rooms.

This resort was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed every second I had here and will definitely be back. The resort was so clean and well maintained. All the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel like a queen from the second I arrived at the resort. The food was also amazing. Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: Family Friendly Resort

Seadust Resort in Cancun offers stunning beaches and fantastic restaurant experiences, with exceptional service, except for the Buffet. The buffet has a good food selection, but the service there is lacking. Room service stands out positively, but the rooms need significant attention. Slow elevators, including a broken one, cause delays. Bar service is great, and night shows vary in quality. Grand Oasis Palm: Cancun

Hotel is fine just be prepared to wait a few hours for your room when you arrive paid a tax of $77 dollars us waited a long time at the airport to get to my hotel when it was time to leave mis communication language barrier my ride back left had to pay 40 usd for cab or I would have missed my flight

Krystal Grand Cancun: Just what we needed!

We escaped for 4 days to Cancun and I had done quite a bit of research on hotels ahead of time. Our priority was to find a hotel with decent food, ocean views, and a fabulous beach with good waves and no seaweed. The beach was AMAZING!! One day the red flags were out as it was super windy with more undertow than usual. But the lifeguards kept a good eye out and blew the whistle if people went too far. The buffet was subpar, and there was a lot to choose from, but nothing to rave about. The best restaurants were the Italian (exceptional!) and the Japanese. However, the Grill (steak and seafood restaurant) was a little disappointing. You must book on the app as soon as you can -right at 9am every morning, but as others have said, even then we had 2 out of the 3 nights where there was no availability to book and all were full. However, we would go grab a drink and put our names down for a restaurant around 7pm and were usually called within 30 minutes. Getting a sunbed always seems to be a challenge at these vacation resorts. We had to go put towels on beds by 9am or it was very difficult to get 2 or 4 together, especially on the beach. It is frustrating that people put towels on beds and then don't show up for a few hours. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had an oceanview room on the 11th floor which was lovely, but extremely windy. Our friends had a room 2 doors down from us and there was hardly any wind when you went out on their balcony. On the weekend, the beach is busier as the locals come to enjoy the area a little ways down and the hotel is very close to town. We did not go into town, but there is a lot of nightlife there. In the hotel, there is very little to do in terms of the evenings, not what we are used to when we go on this type of holiday. Usually, there are shows, karaoke, etc, but this hotel just had one bar where there was a DJ for about an hour after 9pm. So, it depends on what you are looking for. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for a short stay and if you want something a little less expensive than some of the other resorts. We did not have high expectations and enjoyed our time there.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Amazing

Everything was perfect. Definitely a 5 star resort. I cannot think of one thing that we did not like. Beach was beautiful and clean. Grounds were updated and very clean. Food was outstanding. Pools were gorgeous. Rooms were very modern and clean. Another plus was that none of us got sick. Excellent service with wonderful staff. I highly recommend this resort!

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: A true 5 star resort

Everything was first class. Staff were especially helpful and pleasant. Buffet was amazing with a variety of items that changed from day to day. Beach was very nice and safe for children. Could use more shade on the beach though. Some umbrellas or more canvasses strung among palms.

Room:The room was very spacious; Loved the walk in closet. The rain shower was amazing. Grounds:Well kept- hardly ever saw cups and so forth laying around Beach: Immaculate Beach; no seaweed;staff was always checking to ensure our cups were always filled. Buffet: Many options to choose from ; tried the buffet lunch on the last day and it was amazingggg Restaurants: Food was just average at the restaurants Overall..highly recommend and would definitely visit again!!!!]

Hyatt Vivid Cancun: Awesome Vacation Destination

5* Service Wonderful place for a family to spend Christmas. The staff at this resort is top notch. Definitely recommend booking with preferred club privileges. The roof top pool, restaurant and bar are next level!!

Krystal Grand Cancun: Krystal Grand Cancun

People are so friendly there. Food wasn't great but to be honest I wasn't there for the food. The beach was magnificent!!! So beautiful!! We didn't have hot water in our room. Maintenance checked it and they decided to change us to a different room. We loved that there was so much here in walking distance. We walked the beach twice a day and it goes forever. I would easily go back here. We loved it. The pools weren't the greatest but again I wasn't there for the pools. Sometimes people there had [... read more] a hard time understanding what I wanted or needed but if they couldn't figure it out they always got someone else. Very friendly and easy going people.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort!

The resort is beautiful! It’s fairly new hotel and room was very nice. We had an amazing time. Service is very good, staff is super friendly. Food was also very good. Lots of selection and multiple restaurants to choose from. Beach was also beautiful!

Planet Hollywood Cancun by Royalton: 3 star not 5

The hotel itself and grounds were nice. Rooms are not cleaned properly and the first day 85 dollars was stolen by the maid service then they locked our safe which wasn’t locked since I had only left the room for 20 mins while this happened. They don’t wipe anything down or clean anything just make beds. Food is mediocre at best definitely not 5 star and anywhere to eat is an hour to 2 hours they say come back. Had to call 6 times to get new towels. After 3rd day they stop stocking the fridge, ca [... read more]lled 5 times for water bottles to room before my wife went and found some. 3 days later at 10 pm they knock on door with 3 waters. Told us to be down at 655 to catch bus to leave we were there at 653 and bus was gone which they said was our fault. Shower water smells like bathing in sewage. I can go on just know it’s Not a 5 star resort.

Moon Palace Cancun: Nice week in the sun

The Moon Palace Sunrise was a nice resort. Lots of amenities, very clean, loads of food and drink choices, staff were unfailingly helpful and lovely, without being intrusive. It also had an app, which made it easy to order anything you needed, find your way around the resort, etc. The hotel itself is about 4km from the road, behind a gate, so if it is sun you are seeking, this is a great place to stop. If you want to experience the Mexican culture, I'd probably choose somewhere else. We did  [... read more]not try out the spa or golf course, but they looked nice enough from when we walked by. Things to watch out for: - long lineups for food, and for the few restaurants where you needed a reservation, they weren't easy to get. It requires booking through the resort app, and most times we looked, there weren't any times available. - expect this is at all resorts, but the hoarding of loungers around the pool starts at 7am - people throw a towel or sunscreen on a lounger, then disappear for a few hours, so by 8am, it can be challenging to find a couple loungers together. There are some areas if you pay more (I think they were called Elite or Diamond members), where some seats were reserved. - after you check-in, or if you approach guest relations with a question, you are going to get pushed hard to attend a presentation at the Grand, which is another resort on the Moon Palace grounds. They will try to entice you with resort credits and/or a day pass to The Grand (usually USD $99), but it does require you to listen to a sales pitch. I recommend reading the fine print, as in "how long does the presentation actually take our of your day", and how much of the resort credits can you use for an activity, and what tax do I have to pay out of my own pocket to use them - believe it was a 16% tax on resort credits) - we booked two tours through there: for the first, the transit didn't show up, and it took the hotel nearly an hour to sort out an alternate transit. And we had to figure out our own transit back - the hotel paid for it, but we had to organize it. For the second, the tour to the Chichen Itza ruins, it was an 11 hour tour, and 8 hours was spent on the bus (whereas the person selling the tour said it was closer to 5 hours) - did not feel the Chichen Itza tour was good value for money.

Riu Latino: Christmas getaway

The RIU Latino was an excellent choice for a Christmas getaway and relaxation. The grounds were very well maintained, the staff were excellent and attentive. We received a complimentary upgrade and the view courtyard and of the ocean was great. The down side was Sunwing for our departure which was delayed and caused us to miss our first evening at the resort, we waited at the airport for our transport to the hotel. Despite having many transfer vans at the airport, six of us going to our reso [... read more]rt were split up and guests were going to other hotels. Two separate vans arrived at the same time, logistics would be to group the guest going to same resort together as we were all there waiting for transport. With the late arrival, minimal staff working at the hotel, we were left to find our room on our own. By the time we walked into our room, it was 2 in the morning! We had a Late departure home but were not able to get late check out. Then found out that our flights home would be delayed even more (same pattern as our arrival date!) we were left without access to the resort facilities as of 5 pm, waiting in the lobby! Our shuttle was delayed and actually a very dangerous drive to the airport due to speed and weaving in and out of traffic. The loss of the first evening and delays home left a damper on the vacation. I would recommend RIU Latino, but avoid Sunwing if at all possible
