Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Fantastic Resort

We quite enjoyed our 2 week stay at Grand Park Royal in Cozumel. We loved the small resort and that everything was in close proximity. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and friendly. We only wish there was more of a selection on the buffet. Would return for sure.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great vacay

This is a very beautiful resort. Very clean, best food ever, very professional friendly staff. Just a great place, highly recommended! The beach was quite small, man made but nice. Lots of areas to spread out from beach to several pools around the property. The buffet food was so good we didn't do al la carte. The outdoor dining was a nice touch too. Only thing was some stairs down from the lobby and cobble stone paths which might make it a problem for those with mobility issues.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great Value

Had a great vacation. Everyone went out of their way to provide us with comfort. Grounds are lovely, but walking on all the stone pathways was treacherous in high heels so leave them at home. Beach is small but we could snorkel right there (snorkels provided) . We decided to upgrade to an oceanview room and were not disappointed as we did not look directly out at the Cruise Ships but across toward Akumal. All the food was exceptional, but our favorite was at the new Caribbean Restaurant. The Vacation Club sales people are always there, but I found them very polite and a special thank you to Suhail who was most helpful. Would love to go back! Not a lot of evening entertainment and something musical would have been nice.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Decent friendly place

Pros: Lovely beach (for Cozumel) with lots of shade options - extremely friendly and helpful staff - attractive grounds with lots of trees Cons: Terrible mildew/musty smell in rooms that comes home on your clothes (OK, it's 90% humidity down there, so dryness is a challenge) - A/C in room is deafening - Some rooms/public spaces flooded (during heavy rainfall) - Food is beautifully presented but not necessarily delicious - Isolated location if you want to go anywhere (240 peso taxi ride to town)

Allegro Cozumel: Great times at the Allegro

This was our third time going to the Allegro. It appealed to us before we had kids and this time we brought the whole family and it was just as fun. The landscaping is beautiful, the staff are great and the beach is right there.

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: the hotel was good.

the hotel grounds were green and lush. The pathways were well marked and easy to find our way around. Our room was close to the beach. There were always lots of beach chairs and towels. The rooms were in need of redecorating but ours was always very clean. The bathroom need some redecorating but it was always kept clean. There was always plenty of water in our room. We dined at the 2 a la cartes. The food was very good and lots to choose from. We were a big group and they were always very accommadating for dinner seating. The entertainment was good with a variety for all.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Made the best of it

The resort is very small, limited space for walking, found the streets to be safe but not as pretty as walking through some of the larger resorts we have stayed at. We were hounded by the 'club staff' to take a tour and receive a free gift! Upon check in we were placed in a room with a king size bed, we had a 2 and 6 year old. After calling for a crib three times, we were told We couldn't get a cot, after several phone calls and being disconnected I went to the front desk, was told we could upgr [... read more]ade for only $150 for the two weeks to a junior sweat. The room backed onto construction and the motorcycles could be heard in our room, so I asked to check the room First to see if it would work. Upon my return the 'shark club' was upset when I told them I wouldn't be attending a tour, and he spoke Spanish to the manager, all the sudden the upgrade was $40/ night.... When I told them I was just told $150 he then said that's per week. He told me I could take the tour and it would all be taken care of For free. No thanks - charge me the $300! Scammers! Night two my daughter get food poisoning, night three my son, me I have an iron stomach!) Enjoy loud music on Sat night shaking your hotel room. The food was okay, I have had better in Cuba, very limited flair with night time buffets. Same thing every night- different sauces The animation /entrainment staff are excellent, they really enjoy their jobs And worked very hard to get people up to make games happen. The resort needs some upgrades, lots of steps, and not great for Older travellers The beach is small- and while the resort Was only 60% full the resort allows day passes for ships at Port and locals for mini holidays Over all made the best of what we had to deal with Many people on our trip suffered from Diahrea, and hand washing was rarely observed at the snack bar, when attempts made soap not used. Rooms very small, not fancy- and washroom was so Small barely closed the door, without hitting toilet Overall a 3 star in my mind - not sure how they think it's a five Evening shows were poor They build a tunnel to take you to the beach, cars and sirens could be heard in our rooms, at the pools (road about 100 feet away) Enjoy the loud music from

Allegro Cozumel: Okay

We were first put into an older room, which was very bad, we were switch three days later to a newer one, they would run out of food at the lunch time as well. The staff at the bar areas made the trip much better!

Allegro Cozumel: OK Resort

Got there late in the day and the room we got was a little rough, musty smell, bath was unclean and window didn't lock. Went to the front desk to complain and they had the window repaired. Next day I asked for another room and they gave me a lot nicer room on the second floor. The buffet was good and the restaurants were excellent. Bars offered premium alcohol and the service was very good. Beach was clean and lots of chairs around pools and beach. All and all, a good deal for the money spent.

Zel Cozumel: Smaller but well run

Spent 10 days here to play golf across the road. Perfect location for golf. My only complaint would be that the lobby bar is closed when the pool bar is open. Lobby bar should be open for coffee in the morning and drinks from 11 to close. After 4 hours golfing in the heat it would have been nice to sit in the air conditioned lobby barprior to going outdoors and wait in long lines at the pool bar. Also make sure you get a tower room. Allegro Cozumel: awesome resort

We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks.. We have stayed at 5 stars as well. However we were very impressed with allegro cannot wait to go back. rooms.. Staff.. Servers especially Elena so courteous went the extra mile always to be helpful.. Entertainment fabulous.. Reception desk always smiling & helpful.. Carlos in the lobby was so friendly always smiling... Nothing we did not like!!

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Very lovely resort

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel is a lovely resort because of the people working there. The grounds are beautiful, the beach clean with lots of palapas for shade, the restaurants are great with delicious food that is well-presented, the wait staff is friendly and most accommodating. The Market Cafe is the best place for breakfast. It is situated at the edge of the beach with indoor and outdoor seating, beautiful view of the water, and the hostesses Wendy and Marisol will greet you with big smiles. Christ [... read more]ian, Moises and Gilberto will cater to your every wish and Roxanna will be sure to come around to ensure your comfort. There is no need to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants - just arrive and the staff will seat you as quickly as possible. We were fortunate to have some special waiters - Frank and Roger among others. Be sure to try the Mayan coffee in the El Patio restaurant. The resort is not new and some wear and tear is evident but every problem is addressed immediately.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Very good

Rooms a little small but you are not in them that long remember the C on the tap is not cold it is hot. The food was great fresh and lots of variaty. The grounds were very clean. I only wish that you could just walk out and swim. The entertainment was terrific every night all in all a nice place to stay thank you staff.

Occidental Cozumel: Good resort.

Generally a nice resort, grounds are beautiful, beach is very nice, sandy with very little rock. It is a smaller resort and is a good choice for first time travellers to get started. The food was very good, buffets were plentiful, and always had lots of variety. The a la cartes were a bit of a disappointment, we found we enjoyed the buffets selections more. The rooms are ok, be aware that you are in a mangrove and the humidity is very high, so things tend to feel damp all the time, and it has a  [... read more]slight musty smell, but nothing that we couldn't live with. The quiet pool was perfect and Justino our bartender mixed fantastic drinks and was very attentive and friendly!

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: A very nice resort for the price

This is a smaller resort so everything is handy, well laid out. The activities were enjoyable and the staff encouraged guest to join in a pleasant manner. Children would enjoy the different activities. The resort was clean and you could see workers cleaning throughout the day. There even was an older fellow wiping the small tables at the beach, picking up glasses, and wiping chairs throughout the day. The meals were tasty and plentiful. The entertainment was typical but the length was good ( enj [... read more]oyable but not over kill) If you want to have an outside balcony you should request one as some ground floor rooms were on walkway's. A lobby bar that is open all day and pleasant in appearance would have been nice.

Zel Cozumel: Good resort with adequate facilities

This is your typical midsize Carribean resort. We had a lot of fun. Very friendly staff, clean rooms. Many activities: beach, snorkling, game room, night shows. Nothing luxury but adequate. The restaurants were average.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Lovely resort

The service, food and entertainment were excellent. The rooms were'nt as good as they could have been. Such inconveniences as leaking sinks and showers that flooded the bathroom. 2door jeeps are very difficult for seniors to get in and out of.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Awesome Resort

The Resort was fantastic, the food excellent. The shows were fantastic and the star friends were great. Really enjoyed ourselves. This resort is a scuba diving, snorkelling paradise. So the beach wasn't the best for walking into the ocean. You need water shoes.

El Cozumeleno Beach: Had the Best Time!

I have been to this hotel once before and decided to return. I enjoyed my stay here so much. The grounds were clean, food was good, and the al a carte even better. The weather was great except for a couple of windy days but we needed a break from the sun. We were not able to snorkel because of the jellyfish but that was no ones fault, I'm sure they have cleared out now. Im not a picky person so I really saw nothing wrong here. We particularly enjoyed the photographers, Pepe and Diego, had fun talking with them and my friend that I travelled with had a private photo shoot which gave her wonderful memories of her first visit to Mexico. A special thanks to Gabriel the waiter and Pepe the Piano player in the al a carte for the great service and entertainment.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Awesome vacation

There is 13 people in our party and we had a fantastic time. The staff was friendly, food was great. Always fresh, lots of vegetables, plenty of variety. different theme nights. The entertainment was good. Our rooms were clean. I can't say more about this resort. The only downfall was the beach. Plenty of huts and chairs but you cant walk into the water. Lots of coral. This place was a scuba driver paradise. I did read that on the reviews but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. The only [... read more] way into the water was going out the long pier and down the stairs. We spent most time at the pool which was amazing. Erika was the best. she sat with us at breakfast one morning and remember all of our names for the whole week. They encourage was to play Bingo at pool side, aqua fit in the pool and the guys had us playing volleyball in the pool too. We all had a great time.
