Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Awesome hotel

The Royalton CHIC was very clean and the staff were great. Every night the buffet had lots of options.Room service was also very good and prompt. The waves were too high to go in the water but the pools were great.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: More of a hotel with pools

Was not impressed with this hotel. Too small for my liking. The rooms are getting run down needs to be updated. The food is okay if you can get into a restaurant. You can get into any restaurant if you pay for a bottle of wine or $150 US. Not enough loungers around the pool for their guests. So many birds

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Nice resort

The resort food was really good and the staff are working hard to please everyone. The entertainment staff were very friendly and outgoing. Our teen enjoyed playing Bingo, volleyball and hubby enjoyed playing water blackjack. Yes, there is seaweed and unfortunately the area is known for it. We still went in the ocean. The rooms were really clean, but I do hope they fix the slamming of the doors. You are not really near anything, so if you are looking for shopping or seeing the sites, this is not the place for you. Lots of kids slipping on the pool area, while running around, so be aware of that. Our teen was not racing around and wore flip flops and was fine.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great resort, but beware of getting sick

The resort overall was fantastic the first few days. There is lot’s to do for the kids - splash park for the younger ones, lazy river, big slides, trampoline$, bowling$, laser tag$ , etc. The food is amazing! The restaurants have delicious food. Zen was our favourite. The beach is not particularly swimmable as there is a lot of sargassum but we enjoyed being in there anyhow. The pools have a lot going on and are super fun. The shows in the evening are fantastic! This resort is very family oriented - I do not suggest couples go here. People are also getting up extremely early to ‘reserve’ pool loungers (around 5:00-6:00am) and they are all ‘reserved’ by 7:00am. That wasn’t a big deal for us as we were always on the go - however - it was extremely difficult to find a lounger by the pool. When we did want one - we couldn’t easily find one as they’re all ‘reserved’. Most people would not show up for hours - if at all. We would usually go sit at the beach as there are more empty loungers there. Also, many people got sick with what everyone believes is the norovirus. The hotel needs to do a deep clean. The sickness was horrible and went through our family one by one, and for this particular reason ruined our amazing trip. We have seen many reviews on other sites where people were getting sick (prior to our arrival) and it seems to be spreading fast now. There needs to be hand sanitizing in the buffet and restaurants. We witnessed a few people getting sick in front of our eyes. Something has to be done as almost everyone there has had it or knows someone who had it! We have been home for a couple days and still recovering. Royalton , do better - people are getting sick left, right and centre! Because of this reason I would NOT recommend anyone to go until this is under control. For this reason I am giving the hotel a 3 star .

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Fantastic quality service Hotel

The hotel location beach view section Diamond club is absolutely stunning! The professional service provided by employees is so ! Appreciated it makes you want to return only to this hotel. We were treated with respect and top notch! Quality service. The grounds are lovely and clean! And the rooms for the Diamond Club are fresh ans spacious with fabulous view! Overall it was one of the best ever hotel stay!

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Nice resort

The hotel and the grounds were very clean. Some of the finishes to the room we were staying at and around the resort looked a little rushed. The pool area is nice, but there isn’t enough chairs for everyone. The beach is actually really nice but the ocean in that area is very dirty. Looked like brown water. The water slides were great. Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Royalton Antigua - March 1-15/23

WestJet: Amazing experience. We departed from both ends on time and arrived at both destinations earlier than expected. We got off the plane in Antigua in about 10 minutes, only to find our luggage waiting for us and were then quickly whisked to our hotel. Then, from the time the wheels hit the tarmac in Toronto, we were in a cab 40 minutes later. We’ve never had such quick and amazing service!! Thanks WestJet😄. Royalton Resort: We couldn’t be more pleased with this resort. Check-in [... read more] was very quick. Arm bands are never great but they doubled up as door openers…so they played a dual purpose👍 Our room may not have been high-end fancy but it was spacious and clean with a large balcony. Housekeeping was fabulous and kept it spotless every day, ensuring there were ample towels and bathing products. The water pressure was strong and hot water was never an issue…same as the AC. The mini fridge was well stocked. These folks work hard, are always pleasant and respect your belongings. Tip them well. We did not upgrade to Diamond Club but that was not an issue. All restaurants were so good. Also, the best buffet we’ve ever had. Food selection was huge, including all the salad and fruit you could want. Valda, the Maître D, at the Caribbean restaurant was so accommodating and friendly. Shaneik, one of our servers, was very pleasant. She has the best smiling eyes! Hunter’s, the steak house, had fantastic and tasty steak selections. Good wings and burgers at the beach grill. Annmarie-we found the owner to the scarf 😀 The Beach: This is where we’d spend our days. Royalton is the only resort on this beach. It was clean and pristine. We did have seaweed but it was all cleaned up within 3 days. When one section of the beach had seaweed, the other section did not so it was never an issue for us. We also had the same loungers for most of our stay. The pools looked clean but we didn’t spend our time there. Excursion: We took the Excellence tour around the island. It was fantastic-Great scenery! We saw lots of other beaches, expensive homes, including Eric Clapton’s home and rehab center. Staff on this excursion were so good. Extremely efficient in processing everyone to their snorkeling adventure. They also provided a perfect lunch of chicken, fish, salad, etc. Oh…and alcohol👍 This was a great way to see the island. Fortress: At the end of our beach, you could climb the hill to a fortress that was built in the 1700s. From there, you’ve got an amazing view all around. You can even go into the fortress. Bring your camera and running shoes. Improvement Opportunities: 1) Allow guests to seat themselves at the buffet. 2) Have an adult-only section Enjoy the trip. We did😀

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Luxury Redefined

the Hideaway at the Royalton was luxurious. They seem to get it all right. Their food, drinks and accommodations are top notch. Management makes a point to mingle among the guests for your feedback. Adults only side has smaller beaches however you can wander to the family side should you like. I can’t wait to go back.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Fantastic Resort

Hotel was Beautiful & clean had a very fresh scent as you enter. Rooms are clean & spacious. Food was Amazing we did not try Mexican. Entertainment was different nightly outside or in lobby or 2nd floor. Beach was cleaned daily.Pool was clean and warm

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Absolutely stunning!

My Husband and myself stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely stunning. From the food to the location on the island it was an unforgettable trip. Staff were always happy and willing to help with anything you needed. There was a few down falls but that comes with any trip. First was the 2 hour bus ride from the airport to the resort after getting off a 41/2hr flight and it is a very bumpy and windy road which made someone in our bus get motion sickness in the back seats. Second thing was our room wasn’t the cleanest our shower did have left over hairs on the shower ledge from someone before us along with a stain in the bathtub .and our bathtub wasn’t usable. it was coming apart from the base underneath and the stopper got jammed and wouldn’t let the water go down. We did let three people know who worked there .. and even one of them came up to see the issue and told us they would get Maintenance up to fix it but no one came. So the shower was the only option to use. Also, the people selling excursions.. we’re very pushy. No to them meant come back in 30mins and ask if we changed our minds. But other than those things I would recommend this to anyone. 9/10 rating!

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Terrible Hotel and terrible service by Sunwing

First my experience booking with Tripcentral and Sunwing. I was not aware that Sunwing no longer allowed carry on baggage so right away this would have been a deal breaker for me. I had to pay additional fees to bring my carry on with me on the plane. Then there was a price drop and it was honored so this is strike #2. The service on the plane was terrible. Our flight was also 1 hour late leaving Toronto. Then we finally arrive in Montego Bay, first we waited for 2 hours on the bus at the Montego Airport before being transported to the hotel so right away this was not starting off on the right foot. Why am I waiting 2 hours? I didn't pay to be sitting on a bus. I paid to be at the hotel enjoying the hotel services. Now we finally get to the hotel and check in. It is dark and we are starving. This hotel rooms are a disgrace. The drawers are either stuck or don't open, the closet doors don't slide, there is no door handle for the sliding door to go out side. Our toilet didn't flush and we had to have maintenance fix it. Our room was only cleaned 1/2 of the time during the entire week and only got fresh towels half of the time. Our mini fridge and coffee was not replenished at all the entire week. I used some the first day and never had anymore the rest of the week. One day my husband got locked in the bathroom and couldn't get out. I'm pulling from the outside and he's pushing from the inside. Finally we got the door to open. We had no hot water for the first 2 days and no water pressure at all all week. I couldn't even wash the shampoo out of my hair since there was no pressure. When using the bathrooms around the resort there was never any toilet paper, soap or paper towels it was a nightmare and they were always dirty with water all over the floor wasn't sure it was water or pee. On our way back we ended up hiring a private car service to take us back to the airport for $70 since I was not getting back on the Sunwing bus. There was so many other things that were unsatisfactory but I could go on all day. A friend of mine didn't even get clean sheets. There was blood on her pillow case. You complain and no one cares. I will be posting bad reviews all over the internet and I will never return back to your hotel or another Royalton anywhere in the world. I will never book with Trip Central, Sunwing or go to this hotel again. I will be posting many reviews all over the internet on how horrible it was.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing stay at the Royalton

Not our first trip to Cuba but certainly the best. Resort was great. Small, great staff, clean, beautiful beach. Greatest surprise was the food was amazing. Quesadilla grill on the beach was a daily must. Definitely going back.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Couples Trip - Not Worth The Cost

I had previously visited the Royalton Chic Punta Cana in February 2015 and absolutely loved the trip. I re-booked at the hotel with my husband for our honeymoon in March 2023 and was so disappointed. We booked a Diamond Club oceanview room. Here were the pros: - Beautiful view of the resort & ocean from our room - Our Diamond Club butler Ronald was amazing. He was super friendly, booked our dinner reservations, booked a spa reservation for us, and messaged us daily to see if he could do anyt [... read more]hing for us. He was one of the best parts of the trip. He even had a bubble bath with flowers drawn for us one day. - The massages at the Spa were amazing. - We enjoyed the food at the Ceviche/Sushi restaurant and Elements Buffet (breakfast and lunches were great) - Great gym, nice and clean - We told them it was our honeymoon and they didn't do anything special for us. And here were the cons: - The majority of the staff were not very friendly and were constantly on their phones - The resort needs cleaning and a ton of minor repairs. - The purple lights in our room were burnt out (we asked for them to be fixed and were told maintenance would come but they never did) - The bed creaked whenever you rolled over in it - The restaurant service was poor. In several restaurants, we waited over 30 mins to have our orders taken and over an hour for food. The restaurants were fairly loud and it was hard to have a conversation over dinner. - The Diamond Club exclusive areas weren't monitored by staff and anyone could use them so I'm not sure why we paid extra for them. - The shows were great but had limited seating. They also started late but we were told they started at 9 pm. - The evening dancing was lack luster it was hard to get the crowd going (like a bad wedding dance floor). We wish there was a dance club on site.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: An absolutely amazing vacation!!! (February 23-March 2, 2023)

Our stay at the Royalton, exceeded our expectations! This was our 6th time in Cayo Santa Maria, but our 1st time staying at the Royalton. We were very happy with our hotel room. We received 5 STAR customer service, from check in-to check-out (from all of the employees). The food was the best that we have had in Cuba. We had a nice variety, each day. Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Excellent Place to Relax

The hotel was clean, nice spacious rooms, very friendly staff and well maintained. However, it’s also 2 hours away from the airport which makes the journey very long. Service was excellent but would have preferred more fresh tropical fruits and fresh fruit & vegetable juices. I would recommend this hotel if the additional 2 hour bus journey to the hotel is tolerable.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: BOOK THIS RESORT

If your thinking of booking this Resort JUST BOOK IT This is our second visit and we are blown away our second trip. We did a Birthday Celebration here and they made it sooooo special. We stayed on the Hideaway side and it was perfect. Everything was 5 STAR ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful Beaches with amazing snorkling - They rent masks here for free. You must visit both sides of the island and venture to 7mile beach and walk Blood bay too. Take a private Cab for $10 or i [... read more]t’s a short walk to the Beach also. The best thing we did was parasailing and we used the Orange boat guys for $50 usd per person. The White Party was by far one of the best nights we had. Bring an all white outfit and get ready for a blast . Bring glow sticks if you can. The Food was fabulous Ocean Point was Stunning and amazing food. Order the pizza to go one evening you have Italian - So worth it after an evening out. Room service Breakfast was great day 4- a little later wake up had us checking out room service . If your Canadain- BRING OUR DOLLAR they LOVE our Money$$$ We bought beer and gifts with our dollar They want it for tips too! The locals shared how oyr dollar is good to them too. We met amazing people for excursions and Cab rides . Also a brownie man who is a legit sell you good stuff because we don’t smoke but eat sometimes.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic resort

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Royalton Cayo Santa Maria Feb/Mar 2023. All in all a wonderful stay and it deserves the 5 star review. Just a couple things for future guests. As a Canadian our smallest bill denomination is 5 dollars. We have one and two dollar coins which you can use for a tip, but it's harder for staff to exchange. We did not bring coins and they did not have a money exchange. So when we tipped it was 5 dollars minimum. That added up quick so we tipped every few drinks or so. [... read more] It appeared that the service was worse when we did that so in order to get the "best" service from staff we had to tip 5 dollars for everything pretty much every time. We saw people using American one dollar bills and moving forward that's what we would do. We spoke to the check in staff and there was no money exchange at the resort. According to her. It is an adults only resort and from front lobby to the beach was a two minute walk. Very small which we loved. All in all we loved our stay. I had been to Cayo Santa Maria previously and was able to exchange my Canadian money to Convertible Pesos on the resort but again that is NOT an option. So my suggestion would be to bring lots of Canadian 5s and American ones. Use the American cash for drink tips and 5s for meals and maid service. Other than that we loved our stay. Food and service was 5 star. Facility was 5 star. Beach was beautiful and I would give it 6 out of 5 stars. So beautiful.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: What a letdown

Our trip started on a sour note. We had booked in late October, flying out of North Bay to Varadero. Sunwing cancelled the flight, and we were contacted by Tripcentral, and told that we would have to rebook for an alternate departure location, and Sunwing would not honor the original trip cost, and wanted an additional $ 3000 to rebook at the current price in effect for the Royalton out of Toronto . We found out from acquaintances that had booked their trips through CAA and Mayne Travel of No [... read more]rth Bay that they were being allowed to just reschedule out of Toronto for travel on the same day at no cost difference than their original booking. After three days and many hours of disputing this with Tripcentral, they finally agreed to allow us to reschedule out of Toronto at the same price. It seemed as if Tripcentral was actually working for Sunwing's best interest rather than ours. Very disappointed with tripccentral, who we booked through yearly for over a decade. We have travelled to Cuba several times in the past, and since we were going for two weeks, selected the Royalton as an upscale place based on reviews that we read. The resort itself was fine, the beach was fantastic, but the food was not great. Always the same bland variety. The Covid and sanitary precautions were non existent. Glasses at the bar would receive a quick rinse before being reused. They washed the dishes and cutlery one morning for the beach restaurant in the foot wash area (cold water) down at the beach. It was evident, based on prior visits to Cuba, that the country has not recovered yet from the pandemic. We have visited the Dominican and Mexico as well in the past year, and they were fantastic in comparison.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Great for kids - okay for adults

Great fun things to do for the kids - awesome waterslides, laser tag, bowling and nightly shows but they did not enforce the no holding of lounge chairs so it was very challenging to find a seat by the pool and the beach was horrendous with seaweed (not the hotels fault but the seaweed came early). The rooms were great but doors paper thin so you could hear all the hallway noise loudly in the rooms. The restaurants (except for the Smoke) were absolutely amazing and the bars were mainly stocked w [... read more]ith mid-top shelf booze. The Sunwing bus didnt pick us up from the airport for nearly TWO HOURS and the check-in was a nightmare between the guy taking 45 mins to set up our rooms and wrist bands to him totally not assigning one of the rooms at all and our luggage getting misplaced. Beware there are extra fees once you arrive - daily resort fees per person are extra.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Good resort

Let me start with saying this; refuse to stay in the rooms 19301 to whatever number they go to, i.e. , 19310. There are steps in those rooms only. Curtains don't shut properly. Woke ip at 4 am first night to close curtains better and completely forgot about the 2 steps. Flew through air, cutting leg on weird coffee table, bruises everywhere. They only offered me to change rooms. No free massage, upgrade dinner. Nothing. But, it was also alot of fun. Some good meals, some bad. Some good staff, some bad. Bring a light jacket for evening. Not sure if cultural but just too much sugar in lasagna and mashed potatoes. Quiche was way too rich. And there is a steak at Italian restaurant, but they use a diff word so most don't kjow about it. Heard it was good. Don't get lamb kabobs but lamb vindaloo was awesome. Enjoy!
