Krystal Puerto Vallarta: Friendly Welcoming Resort

1st visit to Krystal Vallarta, Simply loved it ,Spectacular Ocean view unit was waiting when we arrived, Friendly helpful staff from front desk to Filiberto & Son at the Pool bar. Smiles everywhere. Location & Value hard to beat ,Will return again & highly recommend,

Occidental Cozumel: Super tesort

Beautiful rooms and surroundings. Staff were great. Buffet could use more selection but food was good. I would definately recommend. A la cartel restaurants are good. Beautiful weather and close to shopping

Barcelo Huatulco: Resort was nice. Too many smokers.

This resort lived up to expectations. Was right on the water, most rooms had a great view of the ocean. Lots of places to eat - just decent food. Bar in pool was great. Couple of issues - everybody smoked. Everywhere. Even in the pool. Even with the posted no smoking signs. Staff did not enforce. Same with the ‘no chair reservation’ rule. No enforcement. Zel Cozumel: Amazing service

Cozumel Melia is a very well kept resort. The grounds are clean as are the two pools. The pool without the poolbar in our opinion is actually kept too warm! It is heated not giving you a refreshed or cooled off feeling underthe hot sun. Bartenders at all bar are fast friendly and knowledgeable! Only draw back with the resort is its location. Although only seven minutes from the airport it is located 150 yards from a cement pier which disablesthe natural flow of water in that direction. This resu [... read more]lts in often merky water close to and sometimes further out from shore. On the other side of the pier the water is crystal clear Carribean blue and good snorkeling! We stayed in a room on the oceanfront ground floorwith spa tub on patio..not used by most.. nothing more than a selling upgrade enticement. Nice to walk out of room to beach however the view from floors above are as good or better without the higher premium cost. Check-in was personal private comfortable informative and nicley air conditioned with a cold drink offered when booking Royal and premium suites. Ask for service and you will get it..but dont expect it if you dont. For example more water, ice, and beer in room

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Awesome resort!

we really enjoy the resort, especially the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful. We have been here before and will return again. The location is in such a beautiful area, with lots to do on and off resort!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: The resort was great!

The Platinun Yucatan Princess was a beautiful spot for a vacation. Service was great, food was good as well. The whole resort was just great. Very clean as well. We would certainly go back again but we would book a swim up room next time.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Absolutely beautiful piece of paradise!!

The hotel is very well run. The grounds were beautifully kept. Everywhere you looked was gorgeous. The beautiful trees lining the paths gave the feeling of privacy and quiet. Our room was clean with a balcony that looked out onto a lush view. The staff were amazing, always friend,y and courteous. We ate at both buffets at breakfast and lunch. The food was delicious, and the view from the beach restaurant was lovely with views to the beach and ocean. Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Loved it!

We travelled with our almost 4-year old and our 6 month old baby. We had a wonderful vacation at Ocean Coral. Everything was great! My favourite parts are as follows: 1. Family oriented. The kids pool was an awesome place to hang out. My son loved the waterslides and playground. There's a snack bar and bar right beside, and we spent most of our time here. The beach is so close so we could go between the kids pool and the beach all day long. The daisy club sticks to their rules about only [... read more] taking kids over the age of 4, but were happy to have my son participate in activities as long as we were somewhere near by. Indy and Irene were lovely and put on fun events for the kids in the evenings too. 2. The entertainment team were awesome. Shout out to Andrea who was so friendly and engaged with us and the kids throughout our stay. The shows were really fun with high quality performances. 3. OCT is attempting to reduce single use plastics. They use reusable cups at the bars and collect them afterward, no straws are offered. I have never seen this at a resort and was pleasantly surprised. The places is spotlessly clean too. The beach was lovely. The buffet was beyond our wildest dreams. The restaurants were all good. The activities were fun. The resort is small enough to be walkable but big enough to keep you entertained for a week, even if you don't leave. We loved it and would definitely go back.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Grand Bahia Coba

This hotel was excellent the rooms were large enough for 3 adults. The staff made sure that we always had enough towels and water in our room. We enjoyed all the amenities all staff from front desk, maintenance, chef's, gardeners were exceptional. Will go back again Thank you for a wonderful week.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: FANTASTIC RESORT AND STAFF

I arrived from a very cold city and was welcomed by well sought after warmth not only by the weather but also from the staff! The resort has impeccable beautiful grounds, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We were not disappointed by the food either. The carts to go to and from areas on the resort were always at our disposal and the wait was very short. I would recommend this resort to everyone and would certainly go back! This was just what the doctor ordered!! 5++

Barcelo Maya Caribe: 5th time to this resort still love it.

I can’t say anything bad about the Barcelo. Great place very clean great variety of food. love the beach has both sandy flat areas as well as coral which has a lot of fish. Great staff that speak English very well.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Awesome trip, resort.

Very nice trip, flight. resort everything was great. Food was excellent service was great. Very nice room, comfortable bed , fridge well refilled. good entertainment, beach a bit rocky but it was expected in that area. Beach a bit far from resort but not much can be done about that.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Impressed with resort

My wife and I have been to Playa Del Carmen (PDC) a number of times and always had a great time. This trip with our stay at the Hilton in PDC made this visit the best yet. The location, the rooms, the staff, the food, was all great. The only concern I had was the lack luster day time entertainment and the daily 430 bingo that I am sure was designed to shut down the days activities, with boredom. I would recommend this resort.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Always outstanding

After an amazing visit last year we decided to visit the Grand Paraiso again, and somehow it was even better. Drinks are always top shelf. Food delicious, varied and fresh. This year I noticed a grill by the pool almost every day: one day steak, another burgers, another fajitas. It made the poolside even more chill.

Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: wonderful resort

This resort was wonderful. The only think I would recommend is that there was more adults only spaces for the restaurants and areas around the adults only rooms. The service at the excellence club was great. Only concern was kids walking around the adult pools.

Occidental Tucancun: Fantastic resort all around

My husband I recently stayed at the Occidental Tucancun and we had an amazing time. When researching I had really liked the fact that it was a smaller resort than what was around and it had fewer people. This was great when it came to finding chairs on the beach and around the pool, you didn’t have to wake up super early to reserve one! Also with food the wait and line up was non existent. The restaurants at this resort were delicious! We especially enjoyed the seafood (fresh and delicious) a [... read more]nd the Italian as they have a pasta station where you choose everything from noodles to sauce to veggies. You can eat as many times as you want in every restaurant (some have a limit to 4 per 7 day stay). The thing that really made the resort special was the people. They remember you every day and make you feel very special. The drinks at every bar were always good, they have all your typical beach drinks and mojitos! The beach was always clean and weed free, it is very wavy on the beach so if your a weak swimmer or prefer to snorkel it may not be the best spot for you, but to jump around and dive with goggles was very fun. The whole hotelera zona is more windy and wavy but it is still warm and very swim-able. The beach is really long so you can walk for 20 minutes in each direction which is cool! Our room was on the top floor and we had a balcony overlooking the resort, it was always clean and restocked well. Overall we will definitely be going back when we are in Cancun again.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great place!

The resort had the best service, food was great and the grounds were beautiful! We would definitely recommend this resort and we would like to go back for 2 weeks next time. Entertainment was very good every night!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fantastic Stay!

My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights and it was amazing! This was our first time in the Puerto Vallarta area of Mexico. We flew with Air Transat both ways which was a breeze! The package booked through Tripcentral was both easy and convenient thanks to Rachel Guindon who made it all happen. She was there to answer all of my questions very thoroughly and chose perfect flight times for us. Thank you! There were signs outside of the airport that lead us to the shuttle that took us to the resor [... read more]t. We even got a little history lesson on the bus by the Air Transat Rep! We had to wait a couple of hours before checking in since we were there before the time but the Decameron staff held onto our bags for us while we used the time to eat. The staff actually upgraded our room to one with 1 king bed on a top floor by the adult only pool. We were so thankful for this. The service here is incredible by the way. They always had smiles on their faces, willing to help and were super efficient. Special shoutout to Leo, Vidal, and Yair for your great service. Also to our housekeeper (so sorry I forgot her name but she was our housekeeper from feb 8-15th room 5424) And to Samantha & Ignacio (On site air transat reps) who helped us choose the perfect excursions and were super educated and hilarious! The beach gets packed earlier in the day so finding side by side chairs in the shade can get tough but people on the beach were super friendly and made room for us when they saw us searching for a place. There are quite the number of iguanas around the resort. Do not pet them or feed them. They’re super cute and harmless though! Let them do their thang. On our second day there we saw fireworks at the resort which we loved and another day we celebrated Mexican Fiesta day throughout the complex. Every restaurant and bar had something special going on one even had a Mariachi band! The food was okay to be honest we didn’t expect 5 star meals as this is not a 5 star resort but LOTS of options for everybody! The best buffet is the one by building 4 pool close to the beach bar. They have the most options including pizza and create your own pasta. The snack bars are great too. Burgers are there are good. They always have chips and guac so if you’re on the hunt for that then go here. Overall we loved this trip. The weather and wonderful staff made us wish we were still there. We will be back for sure. TIPS: -Stay in block 4 or 5 for quieter adult pool & bars. Also close to a nice snack bar , theatre, disco and local shops & towel exchange. -Must wake up early as the staff start booking reservations for a la cart restaurants at 8:30. First come first serve . We went to Rodizio, Piccolo and Jap Jap. The Italian Piccolo one has the best tasting food. -Just down the road (toward the disco and theatre) is a convenience store which has snacks, and cigarettes for cheaper than the resort and better selection. - If your package includes a city tour DO IT! You will get to go to some cool places including a few local shops, flea market in downtown Vallarta, a beautiful church and an authentic tequila experience in the mountains. -If you think you’ll be leaving the resort or buying literally anything while you’re there , have lots of pesos. The hotels exchange rate isnt terrible but might as well exchange money before you leave. When we went to Cancun we found that there was more chances to use USD but not here. Pesos is the way to go. - If you’re looking for a party resort, this is not the place for you. We found a lot of the other vacationers were more senior who enjoyed fun but mostly relaxation. Perfect for us but not everyone. -The gift shop charges 10 pesos for plastic bags (good for them) so bring your own if you need them. -The room safe also costs about 30 pesos a day and phone calls even local ones aren’t free. You can see the cashier (also is the one who does currency exchange) to set this up. -Go to the buffet when it first opens or after 8 pm if you’re looking to avoid the line ups and busy times. -Check out the daily theatre shows at 9:30PM everyday! They’re great! - WiFi in common areas only not in the rooms.

Riu Flamingos: Excellent Resort

Absolutely loved this place, it’s very clean and lots of fun, the entertainment is great nightly and the food was great what more could you ask for. The beach is also phenomenal for Puerto Vallarta area.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Amazing resort!

We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Sandos Caracol Resort. We were in the adults only category even though our room was close to the beach, which was very convenient and central. Our room was super comfortable and very clean. The grounds are so well maintained and stunning to walk through the jungle everyday where we saw monkeys, deer, iguanas, raccoons, coati’s (like badgers) and beautiful birds. All friendly!
