Tryp Cayo Coco: Friendly resort

The food was great to our surprise and most employees were adorable especially our breakfast and lunch servers. On the other hand the rooms were very damp and it was impossible to keep our clothes dry which made our stay less than comfortable but overall we had a good time !

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good,clean, friendly resort

This is a nice, safe resort with friendly people. The resort is isolated but has all the amenities that you need to relax and enjoy a 4 to 7 day vacation. Excursions and water sports are available. the costs are reasonable.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good time

The resort itself it older and needs a refresh - rooms were a littly musty. There was a thunderstorm one nite so power in my room was out from about 9 til 9 the next morning. Then on the last day we paid $50 to keep the room longer and again the power went out so we showered in the dark and couldn't dry our hair so really not worth the $50 at all. Hotel Vigia: Awesome, beautiful resort!

We went with our whole family, brothers, sisters, inlaws, kids and family friends! The staff were so accommodating, friendly and went above and beyond helping all of us! Beach was fantastic! Nice small resort, not crowded, just right!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: It used to be an amazing resort

I was here in 2005 and it was amazing; the resort staff was way better and polite; they were literally chasing you to give you a drink, even they were bringing drinks up to the beach; of course, they were tipped more by guests than now; then, the fridge in room was full of various drinks and was replenished every day; that was the main reason why I decided to go there again; Now, there is nothing of that; I sent about 10 postcards worldwide, paid for stamps and handed them over to the reception  [... read more]desk and none of the people has ever received a single postcard from there-this is telling you enough; that resort is in a real disarray right now; The beach itself and the accommodation are excellent; they installed new ACs in rooms; the resort is fairly clean and well-kept;

Melia Cayo Coco: Better than expected.

The beach was spectacular if you like long and walkable. The grounds were laid out fairly well ; close to restaurants and the pool. You're never really be that far away from all that is going on. There is always something to do.... if you want. We had a very enjoyable trip. I would recommend this resort.

Tryp Cayo Coco: stay somewhere else

A little aged...needs attention. Staff treats you like another number... Not what i have experienced from my other great travels. Had to pay $20 for the orange 0ld towel that was taken from our lounge chair or "myself and two children would be detained by immigration at the airport"! Its a three star or less!! Disapointing.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great family spot!

Travelled here in march of 2014, stayed in ocean front junior suite with 2 boys(1 and 3) great kids club and room location, staff is amazing, food well it's Cuba but wasn't too bad. Overall great value for a family vacation.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Friendly resort

The food was great, a la cartes were wonderful, grounds were clean and pretty. Rooms are very tired and old require some sprucing up but very clean. The Cuban people are so nice. Lining up to set up a la carte dining was terrible and very difficult to get what you wanted.

Hotel Mojito: Beautiful Beach!

We went to this resort for March break with our three teenage children, and I would go back. The food was good, the rooms ok, and the beach was fantastic. The walk on the board walk to the beach was not the best view of the cabins, but not a reason to stay away from this resort. Enjoy!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nothing great

This is a cheap resort that attracts a lot of people for the price. But dont be fooled by them saying it is a 4 star resort.. We enjoyed a private beach which was a 10 minute walk from the resort. The beach at the hotel was full of rocks so bring your boots! We have been to many places in Cuba much nicer than this.. So make sure you do not get fooled by the price and star rating.. Would not recommend to go there..

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Good food! Unhelpful watersport area employees!

We have been in Cuba three times; out of all three this was the best place for the food. We got there in mid to end of June .... what were we thinking? The deal (price) for the quality was more than imagines. Diamond Club category, get a phew amenities (replacement of up to 2 beer per day in the fridge and private beech area - ya not so private, it's right beside bar and nobody watches). The only negative comment is the lack of helpfulness of the persons working at the kayak, peddle boat and cat [... read more]amaran area at the beech; the guys were very unhelpful to provide catamaran tours - always excuses to let their family and close-friends have priority for their uses.

Club Caribe Cayo Coco: Misleading & overrun by locals!

First Let me begin with the misleading "Club Caibe Cayo coco...at the Hotel Colonial. on arrival I went to my room overlooking the enterance & street view to lobby..Room 1164...I realized i must be given a wrong room..quickly i return to reception area and asked about my :Club Caribe special location or blocks of rooms...He looked at me like I am stupid and said no ,no Madame Hotel Colonial? Dah or the next day I ask to speak to guest relations.....Oh.yeh Club Caribe is a bottle of rum and 4 cok [... read more]e & 2 beer in your frig after your first night stay...you no get???? No it will be delivered today.. Whatever...I am not going to say no more! So this Hotel selection "Club Caribe Cayo Coco should not be on any site because it doesn't exist . Now the real eye opener to this hotel was that certain guest order all sorts of food and at the buffet don't even sit down ,,,busy filling all these plates with meats.fish and other items sit for awhile then proceed to fill their beach bags or purses with plastic bags and go off ...gives a whole knew meaning to the word Buffet!!!! Yes the servers see it but it is the restaurant manager job to regulate this...pehaps no beach bags in food areas??? and the food they leave behind what a waste(eg: filling 12in dinner plate with cake & ice cream ,have a few bites and leave the rest to melt over the linen tablecloth) I explained this to guest relations and her response was these people are locals and they are given the rules but they don't always follow them ???? So what am I suppose to do???? never ,never in my 30 years of travel I have witnessed such a thing...by the way these people were not poor people ..they had loads of gold jewelery around their neck & braclets like Mr.:T: perhaps the profit of the sale of goodies in their bags! Who knows? So the food is good but nothing fancy because they can not keep up with the demand. Don't get me wrong I love Cuba and I have been to most hotel on Cayo Coco.but now for the big surprise No Mojitos......... because there is no fresh mint!!! Wow...can you imagine ..Maybe the resort should grow their own... we all know that mint will grow like wildfire in about anywhere.....unbelieveable...so i did the unthinkable i went next door to the TRYP Hotel and order a mojito...shameless beside all this the room was clean & large .bathroom was all in marble ..no door but swinging bar doors .not a problem for us ,,,but no water pressure and you had to run water about 20-30 min for warm shower..so cold shower it was..refreshing but I couldn;t bear to run water for 30 mins..white & fluffy towels,replaced daily without asking.... The servers & bar service did a excellent job //the piano bar was the best A/c and drinks served in glasses.with piano player ,,just lovely/ Vacation is what you make it...nice weather,nice beach. no telephone,and no one was sick.... but Hotel need to make some changes because alot of people will not return. I would not refer any friend or clients to this resort because of these issues i have mentioned...it is at the bottom of my list for Cayo Coco resorts Debra Flanders Giroux

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

We enjoyed our stay at this resort and would recommend to others. The Resort is approximately twenty five minutes from the Airport.The Management and staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was clean comfortable and spacious, the grounds were well kept and the beach is very beautiful. The coffee at the bar was very good and there was always something good to eat at the buffet.

Nice place, but the grounds were not well maintained, lots of weeds near the pool side, wet bar not part of the main pool area, drinks at the pool were served in 4 onces plastic glasses and very flimsy. The beach was nice, but the beach front was not well maintained. As for the food (buffet) there was some variety, but as for the taste...the wow factor was not there. We also recommend bug spray for nightime, as there are lots of mosquitos.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort!

Great vacationt! My family thoroughly enjoyed most aspects. The staff was amazing and very courteous, the food was better than most with a vast amount of choices. The resort itself was beautiful as well as the rooms, always cleaned and mini bar always restocked. The pools were amazing always provided lots of chairs same with the beach. At the beach i would recommend a type of water shoe as they are working on the beach but it has a lot of rocks, but the water was beautiful.

We had a very relaxing stay March 2014. The gardens are lovely. Rooms are nice and clean and public washrooms are cleaned regularly. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant had a tasty array of choices and the other restaurants were also satisfactory. We did not eat at the alas carte. The beach did have bit of corral but there was always a place to enter the water without water shoes.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Awesome resort

The food was okay. the rooms were clean and well stocked. The grounds were lush and green. The pool was a fun time for the youth. The beach was nice, the water calm. The nightly entertainment was fun. Overall a fun-filled resort.

Hotel Camino del Mar: had to go back

Returned to this resort within 4 months .A t 10 am the water was warm .That being so plan when the tide is high at 10am .that is a huge advatage .The food was good though a variety could be of a advantage. The staff was always friendly .Anf if you like fishing this the place. I plan to return March next year

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great place to stay!

This resort reached and passed all my expectations. I can just say from the check in to the checkout wonderful, wonderful and wonderful. We traveled two families with kids 16, 14, 10, 6 and the amazing thing is, everybody had fun. It started with the warm welcome and check in at the airport which never happened to us before, great idea. By the time we reached our rooms (in 5 min after we arrived at the resort) our luggage was brought to us in very short time. All three rooms were spacious, clean [... read more] with very comfy beds. We had clean towels every day and the room was spotless clean. Memories Caribe has the best beach ever, crystal clean water, great shade under the palm trees, pedal boots for free and great entertainment. We didn’t bother to go to the buffet during lunch time because at the beach they have pizzas, burgers, pork sandwiches. Also, bartenders at the beach bar were super busy but they always managed to make everybody happy with their drinks. We spend the afternoons at the pool, nice and clean with a lot of activities every day. They made fresh churros, there was ice cream and the entertainment was great. There were two guys, Amhed and Disney part of the entertainment that made sure everybody is having fun. They were at the beach in the morning and at the pool in the afternoon, with a smile on their face dancing, playing games with the guests. I hope we’ll see them next time when we’ll visit Memories Caribe. The evening entertainment was awesome, with professional dancers, different theme every night. Our favorite spot was the snack bar by the pool and also very close to the stage. Willy the bartender already knew what we wanted before we even said. Also everybody else who worked there was very nice and pleasant, I just couldn’t remembered all the names. There was 24/7 stand for burgers, hot dogs, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches and the best fries. Buffett food was also good, my kids loved the omelets in the morning and we had freshly made smoothie every day. For dinner there was always variety of food, vegetables, meat, fish, seafood, pasta station, grilled meat station and their fired food station was good. There was always different kind of dessert and ice cream. I have very sensitive stomach and I can say I didn’t have any problem with the food at the resort. I loved our beach diner with the mariachi singing, no words to describe the feeling. You just see happy and friendly faces around you. My kids (16&14) loved the disco, especially the disco night at the beach right after the entertainment show, which was so much fun, as well. Altogether, I’ll go back for sure because with all the effort everybody at the resort is putting in their part of the job this place will get better and better every day. From the resort manager to the girls who wiped the floor constantly at the snack bar I can just say they are all hardworking and great people. I won’t be surprised if they become number one resort on Cayo Coco.
