Brisas Guardalavaca: Very good hotel location.
We were in Brisas Guardalavaca for 16 days. The hotel is located on the ocean, the beach is beautiful. The weather was great. Interesting performances in the evenings. All services from reception area to restaurants work wonderfully. Cubans are very friendly people, always friendly. This is our 5th trip to this hotel, I think that the last, because it is filled with Cubans, I often had to stand in line to the restaurant, and on vacation it is annoying. Food is monotonous, tasteless, there is [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Repeater
We were supposed to go to Playa Pesquero in January but because of Covid our flight was canceled. So after reading some reviews we wanted to see it for ourselves, after all, we were there before and remembered a perfect holiday. Now, after being there for one week, we have to agree with some of the reviews. The grounds, room, loby, pool, beach, the dining areas and the people all were great but the food was nothing to brag about. We can eat just about everthing but on the last day we didn't eve [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: Very bad
The service was really bad , it is 7 time i visit this hotel with my friends and family evey year the service and food become worst .this time we decided to change this hotel and leaved it fir ever we change this hotel with almirante , the hotel 5 stars , almirante was great clean and services was good
Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great resort, amazing staff
Overall, the resort was great as masks were used by staff everywhere. Buffet was changed in that the staff was responsible for serving guests at the various stations to avoid multiple contact with serving utensils. Eventhough we were told the hotel was fully booked we never felt crowded at the beach or by the pool. The staff were very friendly and did what they could to accommodate guests.
Memories Jibacoa: Perfect Paradise
After visiting many different locations in Cuba over the years, I'd have to say this resort was top notch in many ways. Location, scenery, grounds, amenities, staff, entertainment were all exceptional.
Playa Vista Azul: Fantastic Resort
This resort was amazing, the staff were very friendly, bar tenders were great especially alexander and entertainment staff was incredible especially Lulu, Ivon and Gus. As well as the snack bar guy with the glasses.
Melia Buenavista: Excellent Service
The resort was immaculate. The grounds were well maintained. The beach service was the best. Everyone at the resort made you feel like you were a guest and took excellent care of us. The spa service was nice. The food would have been average but considering the resort was five star I would have to rate it below average. We had a couple of clothes items taken from our room. Overall it was a great experience it was just the items taken spoiled such a nice week.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Very relaxing stay
The resort staff are exceptional at managing the resort on limited assets and newly hired personnel. Covid guidelines are strictly followed and we constantly reminded to put on our masks we in the restaurants. It is a very safe and welcoming area. The beach is rocky near the entrance but is clear for swimming a hundred feet down lots of areas to go for a walk. I would recommend visiting the nature reserve for $3 just over the white bridge and hiring one of the horse a carriage taxis (Adrian) to [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: love this resort
Travelled to Pullman several times and never dissappointed. There for a few weeks in April. Staff wear masks at all times and we found maintaining distance easy. There are 5 restaurants and a few buffets as well Beach bars. Large pools.
Sol Palmeras: Return Visit Met Expectations
2nd time at Sol Palmeras. Food was excellent as before - especially the Chinese Restaurant. Lots of beautiful beach with plenty of palapas. Service was spectacular. Their bungalows are a hidden gem.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Overall a Great vacation!
We stayed at memories Flamenco for 4 nights and had a wonderful time overall. Our room was clean and we had hot water(although pressure wasn’t the best). We stayed in building 6 which was very close to the beach and the swimming pool. There are about 11 buildings in total. Food wasn't the best which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. They lacked basic things such as salt, pepper, sugar, bread, etc. some days were better than others. Sweets were pretty good. We had A la carte dinner and the bes [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort and beach
This resort was great. They are still taking steps to protect you from covid. All employees wear masks right down to the grounds keepers. You also have to wear your mask in the restaurants Food was good even though there were some things they just couldn't get. Al carte restaurants were excellent. Beach was also great and water was warm. Enjoyed very much
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Friendly and Fabulous resort!!!
Our stay was so wonderful! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt so safe with COVID restrictions in place by all staff wearing face coverings and placing guests apart in dinning and suites Loved the beach and the warm ocean waves!!! Great relaxing holiday!!!
Sol Palmeras: amazing resort
My fiancé and I found this to be an amazing resort. I was very big, lots to do. The beach was endless beautiful white sand, lots of recliners in excellent condition and not crowded. The pool was great and again lots of recliners and space. The bars on the beach and pool, lobbies and everywhere had lots of friendly staff. The buffet was large and plenty of different foods available, BTW the food was GREAT considering it usually isn't that good in Cuba. The staff were amazing in the buffet as w [... read more]
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: amazing resort

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Disappointing
I don't understand how this is rated so high. It was not a great experience going there for a full week. - food options limited, bland and disappointing - drinks were fine but alcohol was watered down - rooms were dated, we had 2 rooms but A/C only worked in one - cockroach found in one room - service was very spotting. Our room service did the best to keep the dated rooms clean, some of the servers at the restaurant were fantastic. Otherwise if you didn't speak Spanish you were left to f [... read more]
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Hotel but bad Food and flies all the time in the smelly buffet
The Grand Sirenis Cayo Santa Maria is a nice and new hotel. well located the beach is amazing the hotel pretty new and the room well decorated. The major issue was the buffet, always smelly and full of flies. at a point there was more flies in the buffet than outside. The bad smell was probably coming from the restroom close to the buffet. They were understaffed at the buffet even if the hotel was not full. The Food was not good and not diverse compare to the grand memories were I was a coup [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: 3rd Time at Playa Pesquero!
Very happy with this resort. We have been there 3 times and are ready to book again! The beach is fabulous with turquoise blue water and soft white sand on one side and the other offers the same but also a place to walk in and snorkel with some colourful fish!! Be sure to wear water shoes on that side! I’ve never been to a resort in Cuba where I gain weight! Lol. There was plenty of food and always available. There were shortages on some alcohol such as tequila, gin, champagne and vodka…. [... read more]
Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
We have been travelling to Cuba for over 25 years and absolutely it. We knew with Covid we would experience some shortages, issues etc. and we did. However, having said that, it did not impact our vacation one little bit! The Good (1) The Staff. The staff here are amazing, from reception, to the restaurants, the maids, the gardeners and the beach. A shout out goes to Lissandra and Carlos in the Buffet restaurant, and Francisco and associates at the beach. (2) The beach. The beach is ama [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Honest Review
I will never go back to this resort. The hotel is OLD, run down, it was over run by Cuban tourists who overtook the hotel. We could not walk around, get a pop or coffee at the beach bar or lounge bar, buffet was a nightmare. The guests would step in front of us and get service first even though we had been waiting in line. They would order MASS quantities of food and not even eat it which was sickening knowing that there are people on that island that are in such poverty. My mother had her [... read more]
