Cayo Levantado Resort: Great relaxing resort

Beautiful resort. Great service. Very quiet and relaxing. Never had to wait for anything. Plenty of chairs by pool and beach available every day. Good food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great quality and value resort

Grand Bahia Principe Coba is a great quality and value resort for the whole family or on your own. The staff is friendly and professional and will go out of its way to help. The best area to relax while enjoying a nice cocktail at the end of the afternoon is located just outside the hotel at the back, close to the main entrance of the buffet restaurant. It is surrounded by palm trees where you can see colorful birds. The best section of the beach is located at the Akumal Hotel. However, you can  [... read more]no longer use their facilities. Make sure to take a walk along the beach and catch the dolphins show close to the Tulum Hotel. The biggest pool is at the Coba, but there are more pools to choose from on the resort. The one at the Tulum Hotel is one of my favorite. Excursions are available, but you can opt to stay at the resort and walk the grounds. You will see exotic animals, flowers and trees while feeling the amazing sea breeze on your skin. You will go back home energized, happy, and dreaming about your next get away.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful resort.

This was our second time at this resort. The first in 2011. We liked this resort so much then that we decided to go back again. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and mowed. The person who looked after our room did a great job, always lots of towels and bottled water, although I think that the lamp shades should be replaced. They were stained and looked dirty. The fridge was always well stocked. Loved the lobby, nice and big and the bathrooms were always clean and fresh smelling. The one compl [... read more]aint that I did have was the buffet. Always lots to choose from, but we found that the food was just lukewarm, never very hot as compared to when we were there in 2011. We did go to one a la carte, the Japanese restaurant, and found the food there very good and Luis did an excellent job serving us. The pool area was great and the people working at the bar were great. I didn't have any kids with me, so cannot comment on the children's area, but they all seemed to be having a good time. Always lots of trolleys to take you wherever you wanted to go, never a long waiting period. We booked this trip back in August or September of 2014 and requested Building 31 but were put in Building 12. I feel that booking 6 months in advance they should have been able to meet out needs. All in all the resort was good.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great time with our toddler!

Had a wonderful time at this resort! Kids pool and play area was awesome and kept our daughter entertained the entire time. More live music at night would have livened the lobby up a bit. Would book again for sure

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Family friendly fun

The grounds of the Coba and adjoining sister hotels are as stunning as they are expansive. The staff work tirelessly both inside in the buffet and other restaurants, shops and front desk, as well as outside ensuring all is well maintained. For families, the highlight for youngsters is hands down the water park from the moment the water turns on until the end of the day. The rooms, though not always the most soundproof, offer comfortable lodgings, they serve their purpose at the end of a long hot [... read more] day. The main buffet yields a variety of food choices, which though at times repetitive, is plentiful and well attended to. If you stay at Coba you know in advance you are not on the beach but a walk or short trolly ride away. Though further down the coast/from the airport then some, its distance to nearby sites such as our personal favourite Xel-Ha, make it worth the trip. The resort itself is largely populated by fellow Canadians or Brits making it a warmer home away from home and is very family friendly break after a cold Canadian winter.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Terrible service!!!

It's a resort that over books, puts you up in another resort for a night losing one day of your vacation and then on your second day you get bused to the resort arriving mid afternoon to here your room is still not ready !!!! Getting in your room at 5:00 taking away another day of your vacation!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic resort!

Our group of 17 stayed there April 3 - 10. The resort was clean, the food was great, the beach was raked daily so no seaweed to deal with. Our beach bartender, Francisco was attentive and more than happy to please. Miguel, the beach boy cleaned our loungers and our sandy feet with his wonderful broom (tickle, tickle). our recent vacation at gran bahia principe tulum was wonderful..first of all i would have to say that we were so very well treated by our travel agent TanyaSmith from trip central. who worked so hard finding us a great resort.beach location and at the right price.. i had e-mailed tne manager directly from the resort and had requested that we were traveling 3 couples and we we like to have rooms i im the same villas if possible.. they quickly responded and said they could not promise but they wou [... read more]ld do there best to accommodate your request... on arrival .they immediately took our luggage and brought us over to the premier lobby and we registered quickly .Rene was so very pleasant and then we all found out that all three couples were indeed in the same villa and we were in rooms 33315.33316 and 33317...the employees and management we're excellent.the service level was awesome... the staff at the snack bar went far beyond our expectations...all in all .we were 3 happy couples...the beach area is rocky and this year there was lots of seaweed but its mother nature..they had staff working so very hard from sun rise to night... we could not help but feel bad for the workers...great vacation resort. would recommend..and can not understand how people can complain so much..so not fair.

Bahia Principe Grand Samana Roulette: WOWZA!!

This resort is beautiful! The view is breath taking and the staff makes it so enjoyable!! The food was good- especially at the A la Carte restaurants, but the buffet didn't really change over the week. Wifi is included, but you need your own electronics to use it for free, otherwise it is $8 USD for the hour on their computers.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great resort

Great resort. Very well maintained. Very clean. Everyone was friendly, food was good especially a la cartes. Overall experience was excellent. Excursions a bit pricey. Did not like being bothered about going to meetings about future trip with the Bahi Principi group.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: A great week

We had a great time we were traveling with two children one three and one six there was lots to do for everyone of course sun and beach. There was food that satisfied everyone. The children enjoyed the theratre where they went to several plays and came back wanting more. The grounds were unbelievable and the staff were so very nice and helpful. In all it was a great time had by all.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: very nice resort, great value for the price

grounds were fantastic , rooms were very nice and clean and really quiet , great selection and quality of food . well staffed resort and friendly , never felt pressured to tip even though I did many times , always greeted with a smile

very kid friendly, beach clean, sea not too rough. good buffet with big selection of types of food. staff very friendly. very clean public areas. for the most part, prompt response from the staff for most issues.

Had been to the Ambar two years ago and returned home telling everyone that it was perfect in every way. Apparently things have changed since then, as there were several things amiss over our 14-day stay: buffet - area was messy & food quality was less, 3 in our party had 'traveler's diarreha' more than once; room was not touched on 3 different days; air conditioner not up to par; my husband found the drinks excessively watered down. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Fantastic Resort

The food was amazing. Staff were attentive, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!!! The only negative was that it was a long drive from the airport to the resort, but still a great holiday experience overall

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Returning for the 7th Time So knew what to expect

We were there for 10 days which is the perfect amount of time I think. As a returning guest we did receive some extras perks, one of which was getting a very nice room way down the resort in front of the old Diamond Club pool. The weather was very good, a bit of rain but that allows our winterized bodies some relief. The food was fine as expected and the new Asian Restaurant was an unexpected pleasure. We used to go there in the past and never have to wait for a glass of water or a drink and once we had them our glasses would never be empty unless we stopped the staff. This was a common theme with a lot of the guests and I think it needs to be addressed before they can try to move towards being a 5 Star resort that they are aiming for. But overall we went there just to relax and enjoy the sun and we got that.

Friendly, helpful staff ready to help with anything. Wide variety of good food. Nice al le cartes available for all tastes, Beautiful pools and beach, well maintained. A variety of entertainment available.

We thought the resort was quite nice, very well kept grounds, attractive, main pool was lovely with nice tree coverage,rooms were clean. Public areas and especially washrooms were well maintained.....

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Awesome Resort!

Beautiful resort, clean, friendly staff, good food and very energetic entertainment staff. We even liked the ride from the airport to the resort, it gives you another perspective of people who live in the area, the driver even stopped to re-stock whoever wanted another beer, very impressed. While at the resort, staff were very accommodating and they work very hard to impress, always making sure we had enough to drink and that we had everything we needed.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great Beach, terrible Customer Service!

I was part of a large group and the issues we had are too numerous to list here. There was no customer service from the resort management, the wedding co-ordinator, or the Air Transat rep. Pros were the beach and the grounds, rooms were ok and food was decent. The management at this resort do not care about your experience once they have your money.
