IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Ifa bavaro BEACH with no beach

The resort itself is great, my room was 1247, far from everything, (15 m walk)but we didnt mind, was big modern and clean. Ala carts were nothing special. Buffet always had a line. Pizza bar was awesome. Anamation was best ever. Generally food is good. A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION...! TOTALLY OBSTRUCTED VIEW OF BEACH, THE BEACH IS WHAT WE PAY FOR RIGHT!?

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Chic Punta Cana

This was our third time going. We really enjoyed it. We were upgraded to Diamond Club. The people were amazing.. Restaurants were great All except the Tangine. Indian food. The service was bad. Waiter almost slipped by our table due to water on floor and kept telling me to be careful. Would not send anyone to clean it up.Had to ask for our wine after we were served. Usually before you recieve meal they serve bread but did not get any. Dessert took 15 mins.Restaurant was not busy.

IFA Bavaro Village: Worst experience ever!

Grounds were beautiful, beach was lovely, food was great. CUSTOMER SERVICE was the WORST I have ever experienced. We had to change rooms because our shower door fell off! New room? Toilet tank leaked all over bathroom, patio door ( we were on the ground floor) did not lock, door to our room did not work properly it took 3-4 minutes of jiggling to enter and leave our room. Then the toilet clogged, after 8 calls to front desk and then demanding to speak to manager they unclogged the toilet and B [... read more]LAMED us!!! Toilet clogged again sane day and they did nothing, we had no FUNCTIONING TOILET FOR LAST TWO DAYS OF OUR STAY, not to mention the unsafe slippery bathroom floor! At 3pm check out time they were actually at our door at 2:59 pm telling us to leave!!! I have never been so happy to leave a resort.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Good bang for the buck

First time at this resort and we enjoyed our time. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were pretty clean and serviced everyday. Beach/pools were great. Everything was so close together there was never a far walk anywhere. Food was pretty good, a la cartes were great, especially the japenese (We ate there a couple of times). Sometimes as you walked to and from you could smell sewage, but not for too long. overall , great trip. would recommend.

Punta Cana Princess: Punta Cana Princess - Feb 9 - 23, 2018

This was our eighth trip to the Punta Cana Princess (PCP) and, as usual, found it like coming home. There is not much turn over in staff, so it's like being with family when you are there. Felix does an amazing job on the beach and at the Mare Nordstom (the beach side restaurant). Luisa and Kenia are top notch waitresses/bar tenders and deliver with a personable attitude. The food there is great and there is always s [... read more]omething for everyone, even if you tend to be a little more selective in your dining choices. The furniture in the lobby really needs to be addressed. I can see that they have tried to take care of the limited seating options there by bringing in additional tables and chairs; however, sitting on a plastic fold up chair during cocktail hour or for the shows is extremely uncomfortable, and the big sagging outdated wicker furniture really has to go. One thing I did discover this year that disturbs me is the fact that Housekeeping Supervisors have the freedom to enter your room and look through your belongings (i.e. the number of toothbrushes, the type of clothing and shoes, etc.) to determine how many people are actually staying in a particular room. I find this invasive and after eight years, pretty much uncalled for. I feel that should the housekeeper assigned to a room notice something amiss, THEN it should be brought to the attention of their supervisor. Now with that being said, I don't know if a majority of all inclusive resorts have this policy, but this is the first time we have encountered it and those I have asked have never come across it in their travels. All-in-all it is a wonderful adults only resort geared toward couples and not hookups. If you're looking for a relaxing get away with your significant other, then I would recommend the PCP. I plan on returning in February 2019.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: good value

WELL KEPT, VERY CLEAN, WISH THEY WOULD HAVE SMOKING AREAS AS PEOPLE SMOKE EVRY WHERE WITH NO REGARD TO NON SMOKERS. FOOD IS GOOD, VERY FRIENDLY SERVICE. NO WIFI AVAILABLE FOR THE WEEK WE WERE THERE. very windy week for the beach

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: very nice (too big)resort

When we arrived at the airport and cleared customs, we were directed to bus #9 . I was displeased that we had to wait sitting in the bus for a whole hour before the bus actually moved to go to the resort....I find this totally unacceptable... When you get arrive after a long flight, customers are understandably impatient to get to their hotel and being held up for an hour, shows a severe lack of customer orientation....In previous years for other resorts, the wait was an acceptable 15 minut [... read more]es The grounds are very well maintained...the walks were always spotless... The pool was cleaned every day and there were a lot of lawn chairs and umbrella's(palapas).... The restrooms(banos) have attendants cleaning them all day....You have to get to the pool early to reserve a good spot but then this is normal for this type of resort... The buildings are 3 stories so you have to expect some stairs....the rooms were cleaned without fail every day...some of the buildings are somewhat far from the beach...The common rooms are spacious, well lit and the waitresses keep the drinks flowing...Too often the music is the boring typical repetitive carribean sounds (that I don't like) Just don't expect rock and roll more than once a week. The staff all over the resort appreciate tips.....most people give out US dollar bills.... They have many "gourmet restaurants e.g..Mexican, japanese, mediterranean, italian etc....The food and the service in these is exemplary, the atmosphere pleasant and I would recommend them yet the buffets and the food they serve therein is beyond reproach . In closing, I found this resort way too big and I would select a different resort if I return to Punta Cana...

The resort was amazing. The grounds were very clean, public area was very inviting, rooms were always kept clean, the food was always very goods with a good variety, then entertainment was also good by could have been more entertaining or a better variety.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Amazing resort

We have been at the adult only for 5 or 6 years in a row, we love the staff and resort. Very big resort if you want too be entertained an can also be quiet if you stay in the adult only. You pick what you want! Beaufitful Bavaro Beach! My husband also loves the Sport Bar can go for wings anytime. Will go again!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Excellent beach, very good resort

The highlight of this resort is the beach. No rocks, fun waves. Very easy to get a lounge chair - no need to wake up early. Resort is beautiful and spotless. Food is average to very good. Nothing bad but nothing excellent.

Alsol Del Mar: Lovely Quiet Resort

Food & Service excellent. Pool & Swim-up Bar excellent. No Beach to really go for a walk! Lacking entertainment show at night! Should be free to go to sister resort, not a taxi fee! This is a great resort for Seniors to relax and enjoy!!!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Lots of things to do!!

This hotel was big but not too big. It has lots of things to keep the adults and kids entertained. Bowling, golf, mini golf, laser tag, escape room, casino etc. Lots of water sport activities. The food was good, and the beach is close to all the pools. The layout of the resort is very nice. I would recommend this hotel to all ages.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort

We go down to the Dominican every year and this hotel was the cleanest and best taken care of that I can remember. The beach was well taken care of and people always raking up any seaweed that came ashore. The food was good and the staff was super. The evening shows were very well put on and excellent entertainers. The only draw back was the housekeeping, where we had to call to get our room cleaned and they repeatedly forgot to leave enough towels or facecloths or restock the fridge. IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Great resort

We just returned from IGA Villas Bavaro Beach Resort and we really enjoyed our trip. Our rooms were wonderful (We chose Superior rooms) which were really clean and fairly new. I saw the regular rooms in the older building and they were awful. The buffet was average with not much diversity. It was always the same every day but we did eat at the restaurant à la carte which were great! The beach was not nice, there was lots of boats in the water. Almost seemed like a marina. Ancora Private Residence Yacht Club and Marina: Our Caribbean Home !

Well we Returned to the Alsol family again This year for a fabulous vacation. Last year staying at Alsol Tiara , this year at Also Luxury . Our room 4074 was gorgeous . With a large corner balcony. Peaceful , enabled us to see sunrise and sunsets . The service was outstanding, we just adored Cesar, concierge , Geomar, Ullisse, the sweet young man at the Tiara coffee bar, the entertainment crew . It was magnificent . Food was great, resort is pristine and so well maintained . We have already decide we would like to return next ear for our third time . Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort

As other reviewers have said, this resort is very big. However it is still quite walkable, and while the trolly is almost always there waiting for you, we tended to walk more. We stayed in building 1 of Royal Golden, so at the beach end, and it probably took 10-15 minutes to walk to the lobby. Again, it wasn't really an issue at all!! ...but it is nice to be a short walk away from everything - it is more intimate and you get to know the staff and other guests better. We ate at the Italian restaurant, the Mexican restaurant and the Grill and enjoyed them all. Italian was my favourite. The room was fine, we requested a playpen/pack and play, which was in the room.. but it was mouldy. I didn't bother asking for another one. We just didn't use it very much. The employees were lovely and helpful. The pool closest to the beach is definitely the party area, while the pool in the middle was a bit more tame, and better suited to families/mixed groups. Overall we enjoyed everything, the food was pretty good and we felt safe.

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: Our stay was magnificent

I cannot say enough about this resort, it was certainly above a 5 star rating. The rooms were clean, décor was great, beds were very comfortable, room service was remarkable, the grounds were spectacular, service was top notch, very friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our dining experience was fabulous, the meals were delicious from breakfast to dinner. I cannot find anything to complain about. Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Comfortable and relaxing stay.

While the pool area was always pretty full, it was never a problem to find some chairs and a shady hut on the beach. Buffet food was yummy with a large variety to choose from, and the à la carte restaurants were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely return.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Upset that we didn’t get our deposit back from trip central. We will not be booking through trip central again.

We booked our trip in early November to go to sunscape Bavaro in Punta Cana. We have always booked our vacations with tripcentral. Unfortunately we had to cancel early in December as one of us found out we would have to start chemo and radiation ASAP. We had to both cancel but gave plenty of time advising tripcentral of the situation. I’ve made several attempts to try and get back our deposit and even with these horrible circumstances to no avail did tripcentral want to help us either by r [... read more]eturning our deposit or giving us a credit for a future vacation if that could be possible. Paradisus Punta Cana: Great stay

Very clean and well run resort, all meals were well above average. Service was excellent in restaurants, beach was very nice...had a small issue with language barrier at times and they could do a better job of advertising events. If i had to rate it on a scale of 1-10 i would give it an overall rating of 9. Very nice place.
