Brisas Guardalavaca: Great staff,very clean
The beach at the hotel is beautiful, the hotel itself is very clean, their is an elevator for easier excess to the surrounding property. The staff is amazing and very friendly. There is a market very close by in walking distance.Close to the market is a boulevard where there is a beautiful beach and food and drinks, great area to spend the day away from the hotel. The town of guadalevaca is within walking distance from the hotel,if you hire a cab or horse and buggy they will take you to outdoor Cuban [... read more]
Resonance Blu Varadero: Ok resort
The front desk were helpful in getting us a phone the safe fixed the TV fixed and we finally got some warm water. I would not go back due to the difference in treatment, if you spoke Spanish. The tourists would line up for food or braverages , and would mostly tip. But then someone speaking Spanish would start there own line on the other side of the server ,and be served first. The only place I did not see this was in the main building. And I never seen any of them tip. Why would I go ba [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Lovely resort with amazing staff!
Dedicated, friendly staff who worked very hard to keep visitors happy and safe. COVID protocols were closely followed and everyone was able to relax and enjoy their surroundings. The beach is lovely and although some of the room supplies seemed to be in short supply, staff did their best to provide the necessities.
Iberostar Selection Holguin: Iberostar Selection Holguin
This was the first tropical trip my wife and I took since being married. This resort was more than we expected. The food, the beaches, the pool, the staff, and the entertainment was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be going back next year.
Melia Internacional: Beautiful new hotel
Great hotel, would give it another chance after life is back to normal . Hotel has potential to have better food and entertainment but kept everything at a minimum due to COVID. Gorgeous beach. Carribean restaurant has the best food and service. The Japanese restaurant was very disappointing. Bartenders were great. Buffet was ok, variety was limited. 24 snack bar was extremely disappointing. Beach and new hotel made up for the lack of everything else.
Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful resort
The huge lobby and grounds are picturesque with plants and colourful bushes. The staff go out of their way to be helpful. The beach is gorgeous but can be very windy. The pool was green due to a lack of available chlorine. Deck chairs were sometimes hard to find. There was plenty of food and lots of choice with fresh fruit. The resort was only half open because of Covid so the tranquility pool was unavailable. The one downside was the time it took to get to the resort from the airport. It will b [... read more]
Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Beautiful Resort!
Very relaxing resort. Beautiful beach, pools and weather. Escorted to room within about 5 minutes of arriving. Food very good. Entertainment team excellent....Yosvani, Jason and the rest of the guys. "Michael Jackson" rocked his show. Only downfall was the Snack Bar by the pool...usually out of what you ordered and very disorganized. Otherwise, would visit again anytime.
Hotel Atlantico: Good vacation overall
Good and friendly staff, the advertise for the rooms is not exactly the same as what we get, they advertise really nice rooms but when we get there, the rooms are really old and really not the same as the pictures that they show but they are clean, really not enough variety on the buffet, same thing every day, nothing spicy, no hot sauce and fade. Nice bar at night with music and entertainment but even on weekends they close all that way too early at 11pm! I recommend the massages, I had 4 durin [... read more]
Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Great resort
Very lovey resort it is not to big so everything is close by, you will find the best service at this resort than any another resort. The bus ride is a little long so make sure to travel in the day time so you can see everything on the ride to the resort.
Sol Palmeras: Disappointing
My 3rd and last time at Sol Palermos. In fact I am done with Cuba. I have been to Cuba over 30 times and the last couple of times I have not been happy. The resort was full of Cubans and to say they are rude is an understatement. They have no regard for anyone other their own people. They take over the pool, bar and restaurant. We pay good money to go to Cuba but they get waited on before anyone else. I spoke with other people at the airport who were at different resorts and they all had the sam [... read more]
Hotel Bella Costa: Miserable experience
First time in a Iberostar resort who didn’t pay attention to the needs of the clients. From no towels in the room from first day to the 5 day. Most of the days had to have my key reprogram several times. The constant lies from costumer relations managers saying they go fix and never happened. No phone on my third room. The comments on Spanish about me was not pleasant. Only stopped when they realize I was aware what they was saying. ( Portuguese background in here) No cola in most of the ba [... read more]
Blau Varadero: Return to my second home
It was my 13th times at the Blau Varadero and it was, like usual, excellent! The staff knows my name and they are like family. They know my preferences. I would like to try other resorts but why should I change a place I love? And I would be probably disappointed because at the Blau, I receive many things I wouldn’t have somewhere else.
Memories Jibacoa: Amazing Resort
We have been to this resort 9 times. This was our first time back since covid started. The resort was in great shape beautiful gardens and a number of upgrades tile by the stage, painting through out the resort room improvements. Food was very good I was suprised considering how difficult things have been in Cuba. The staff as always were amazing and it was wonderful to see so many friends. Great vacation and look forward to our next trip back to Jibacoa.
Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Disappointing esp. communication
I have been to Cuba many times. I know what to expect. The people are friendly, the food is OK and the rum is plentiful. This place was recommended by my new Trip Central booking agent. He said it was 20 minutes from the airport.. We were be the first to be dropped off and it took 45 minutes. It started with arriving and the room wasn’t ready. We were told to come back at three and double check but in the end it was a hard no, check-in is at four. But there were no bellboys when we finally go [... read more]
Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Not quite 5-star yet!
In terms of Covid, there were no issues and we were quite impressed that all staff, even the gardner working on his own, was masked at all times. They were more strict than we are in Ontario. In terms of the resort, being brand new, everything was nice and shiny but some construction mistakes or issues were seen after a bit of rain (flooding). Heard of some water problems and plumbing problems in some rooms, but we had none. Pool was disappointing as it grew algae every day and was very [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Awesome!
I would recommend this resort to anyone! Great Beach! Great service! Food is your typical fare, you will not starve. Bed was great! The four la carte restaurants were amazing. The food was so good! I loved the little townhouses all around the property! We booked Superior ocean view and we got superior ocean view. Our walk out patio, ground floor, 5 feet from the ocean! Can't ask for anything better! Only wrinkle was Sunwing and the long delay in our flight home...
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Resort almost not worth your money
So, we stayed for 7 days in April second half. The positive sides are: n ice nature, flower planting in area, sea water and water colour amazing, people very friendly. The negative aspects - inconsistent service, and supply with anything Cuba doesn't grow themselves. Restaurant, one, buffet style, once it gets dark outside, lighting is almost non-existant, can't see what youy put in your mouth. The serving counters are lit tho. Three restaurants that one needs a reservation for. Those [... read more]
Gran Muthu Imperial: Marginal
Service could improve greatly Food was marginal and not a stretch to say the hot dogs and fries were the best menu item anywhere Good facility and pools Bars were decent Rooms were good Beds comfortable Went to the Mexican restaurant and food and wine terrible
Resonance Blu Varadero: Absolutely disgusting!
Everything from the food to the cleanliness of the pool at this resort is subpar. Honestly this trip was more of a punishment then a vacation. This will be our last time in Cuba and anyone planning a trip here should do more research.
Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Fantastic Staff, Beach and Pools!
Our trip to Cayo Coco this April 2022 was great, staff all wear masks, guests are only asked to wear them around the buffets. Anybody planning to go to Cayo Coco for a family vacation, I would recommend!
