Catalonia Yucatan: A good time.

This was our first experience at this resort and it was very memorable, it's kept very clean and the staff are amazing. The food was very delicious and the entertainment was outstanding. It has a beautiful beach that is protected but can be susceptible to see kelp. The main beach did become unusable toward the end of our trip due to the kelp but this seems to be a problem for all the resorts along this coast. I would like to see them change their policy with regards to liquor perhaps, when your [... read more] at an all inclusive and paying good money to be there, all there brands of liquor on the shelves should be available to whom ever stays at this resort as an all inclusive.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: 3rd time is a Charm

We continue to go back to the Del Mar because they have always provided us with great service and food. Lilly and Fanni the concierge staff greeted us even before we were checked in to make sure they could provide assistance which these ladies went out of there way to help. Jacito in the breakfast area by the pool always made every morning an entertaining and fun start to the day. Roger at the beach bar and Javier at the lobby bar were also great to keeping everybody looked after for refreshment [... read more]s. They seem to have made small improvements throughout the areas, ( likely only noticeable to return guests). The entertainment staff, Alex, Luis, Ruby, Lilyhan,Stephanie and Giovanni almost became family with all their energy, enthusiasm and open hearts. They kept us smiling and laughing all week along with the fun fun pool games.The attitude at the resort is laid back and happy. I was impressed to see that none of the staff were heads down on their cell phones while on work time. They were always attentive to any guests requests. A small casino has recently been added for entertainment. The bird wildlife is always a pleasure to see. The beach waitress Petra was always so cheerful and helpful everyday. Will plan for another return visit because we have not been let down so far on the service and the smiles.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: If you are looking for a family resort.....

This is it! Azul Fives is a beautiful resort ,full of families with small children. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is not it! It is however an amazing resort with lots of pools to enjoy and a wide variety of restaurants to suit everybody’s palette. They offer a variety of room styles ,from rooftop terraces,to swim up units, multiple room suites . Something for everyone! Grand Sunset Princess: pools pools and more pools

just returned from the mayan Riviera..stayed at the grand sunset princess..you cant go wrong with princess resorts..pools are all over the resort..we never felt crowded and they are very clean..staff are the best in the restuarants and around the pools..i would recommend this hotel for the value

Grand Sunset Princess: Still very good

I have been here 4 times so that speaks volumes. I still like it very much as overall it is good value. Buffets are very good while a LA Carter hit and miss. Rooms very nice and clean. Grounds beautiful. Amenities are superior with a great gym. Beach is large but rocky in the 1st 10 feet but seaweed issues too. Pools are fantastic as there are 3 pool bars very rare. Service is where I felt it got a little worse overall. Resort was not up to capacity and I found it slower than I remembered and I  [... read more]booked Sunset side and got Riviera,side despite it being the same hotel it was,a,bit inconvenient for departure. I did remind them about being there 4 times in the last 8 years and received nothing so that is why I will not return, but it is a,good resort. I give it a,4.25 star overall.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

My husband and I visited for 9 days for his 60th birthday. We usually travel South a couple of times each winter but this year we were only able to go once so we decided on 9 days and picked the Royalton Riviera Cancun. We got the diamond club with a swim out room. The place is amazing, its huge and yet u don't need a shuttle to get around. There are alot of ramps and escalators and even elevators. We had a butler who visited us several times a day to make sure all our needs were met and checked on our maid service and also made our dinner reservations as we requested, again these guys were fabulous, very attentive and helpful. The food is great in all restaurants, we were never disappointed with any of it, even the buffet was great. I would like to add its the biggest buffet i have ever seen in all my travels, plenty of variety indeed. There are several spots to eat, breakfast if you prefer not to do the buffet which is a nice change also. We even used the room service for his birthday breakfast and the service again was awesome. All the entertainment, day or night was very good and made our trip interesting and fun. We went to relax and chill out so we didn't take any tours etc but there are plenty of tour options if that's what you desire. We prefer to stick around the resort and its so pleasant with enough going on that we never once got bored. All the staff we encountered were constantly smiling and very pleasant made, this made our stay even more welcoming. The only negative i would have to say is the beach area, for swimming was not great as there is alot of seaweed at this time of year and for us it didn't make getting into the ocean appealing. But to take a walk or sit on loungers, have some lunch and hit the beach bar it was fine. We have always said it would be nice to find our "spot" for winter vacation and just go back every year and know we will not be disappointed. So YES we have now found the Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and both my husband and I cant wait to return again. I just loved this place!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Family friendly fun

Family of four just returned from a one week stay at Coba. Pros: great Waterpark, few slides a bit dangerously fast for little ones. Buffet had great selection. Shuttles came often to go to the beach or other hotels on site. Kid club was good but only attended one day. Great Disney show. Cons: beach on Tulum side was hard to get chairs in shade when busy too much seaweed but staff were working super hard to clean it. Wait staff at buffet took a while to come at times. Grand Sunset Princess: In a word - outstanding!

A well maintained and very clean resort. Service/staff were terrific. Beaches were pristine. Pool games were a delight. The only issue I had was the shopping excursion that included both a trip to a silver jewelry maker and tequila factory which did not allow for much shopping time within the village area off the resort. We had no idea we would be visiting the jeweler and tequila factory and felt pressured by staff at the jeweler to purchase something.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Good time at Grand Bahia.

Cleanliness - resort was very clean Food- good variety Pool - clean Hotel room - cleaned everyday. Friendly staff - very friendly, hard working, courteous and polite We didn't go to the beach so I can't comment.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Amazing resort. Top notch.

The resort was fantastic and the staff did what they could to ensure that our vacation was enjoyable and memorable. We were able to use the facilities of all 4 member resorts. The food was superb and the drinks were refreshing. We both gained some weight during our trip. One week was not enough and we can't wait to go back.

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Good value fo the dollar,

We had a very relaxing week, updated rooms and restaurants since we were here years ago. Beautiful grounds with lots of outdoor furniture to play games, eat, drink, whatever. lots of sun lounges on the beach. Food quite good but hot food cold or warm at best in the buffet. Beach good but loads of seaweed right now so you have to walk through it to get into the ocean. Didn’t stop us from swimming every day.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is beautiful in every way from the spacious rooms, very comfortable beds with soft sheets, large balconies, beautiful beach which you can snorkel directly from, beautiful tropical grounds and delicious food. Two things wrong: public beach directly in front of the resort which opens it up to all sorts of people including screaming kids and crying babies, something you don't want when you go to an Adults Only resort. Some days it was quiet, but we were surprised to hear kids on the beach and that's when we found out it was public. Hotel has no control over that. The most amazing part was the ability to snorkel right off the beach, you would walk in to stunning coral reefs and very pretty fish and of course the sea turtles and stingrays. There were many. As well, we didn't appreciate the large corporate groups - gangs of people hanging around together in large groups being extremely noisy and obnoxious. It turned us off as we are a couple looking for quiet. We ate in restaurants and had to listen to these noisy people all the time. It was not pleasant except for the days we ate outside the restaurants. We didn't mind doing that if there were spots to eat outside. If you are young, a pool person, and like to party, you will love this place. It's perfect for you.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: TAKE A PASS ON THIS HOTEL

This hotel offers terrible rooms with single beds, and supposed suites which are as small as a closet. Staff are wonderful, some of the best. Falsely advertised as a five star, it features improper AC, lack of storage for your clothes, a near impossibility to attain seating in the ala carte restaurants. We were unable to obtain seating in most of these restaurants, and not once were they fully seated. In fact at half seating capacity at best. They prefer to hoard you into a poor buffet,  [... read more]overheated seating area, with food that is of very poor quality, and has the appearance of being recycled. All of this hoax is in over to avoid your ability to book what you paid for. Free wifi is also not true. Your first attempt to obtain their wifi puts you into a portal with a fee of 70.00 US. Satellite tv....surely you jest. In fact for two days of the Olympics they had no TV at all. When it did function, you had basic cartoons (in an adult only resort) several Spanish stations, and perhaps one or two in English. Do yourself a favour, and book anywhere else, this resort is sure to disappoint you

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Large complicated complea

Has many good features, ( Clean, relatively friendly staff and could hire more ) but overly too big and difficult to find your way around Many bars but drinks are inconsistent and overall poor. Food is average.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Bahia Principe Sian Ka’an

Spotless facilities and rooms. Could use more storage area and places to hang your wet items. Sleeping accommodation for third person in Jr. Suite was basically cushions on the floor and not very comfortable. Free WiFi was a joke. It was really a pitch to purchase premium service. Despite these instances still had a great time and would return.

El Dorado Casitas Royale: Highly recommended

We stayed at the resort Feb 21-28 '18. Wonderful experience. Exceptional staff. Food is above par for most resorts esp. the sea food, veggies and salads - because most veggies and greens are grown in the resort's own greenhouse, it is super fresh and no concerns about getting ill. House wines are very acceptance. Good selection of premium spirts. We'd recommend spending the extra money and upgrading to a swim-up Casitas. Grand Sunset Princess: Amazing Resort.. We will be back again

This was our second time. To. This resort and it did not disappoint once again. Very easy to navigate around. rooms are spacious and modern. Food is excellent. Love this resort.. Beach was a bit washed away in platinum and adult area but still great none the less. THX you Trip Central and Thx you Grand Sunset Princess😁 WE will be back again

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Lovely resort

The grounds, rooms and all facilities were very clean. FOod was good to excellent in all the restaurants we tried including the buffet. Had trouble at checkin and with the air conditioning in our first room. After 3 complaints we were upgraded and all was good. Staff very friendly. Size is a bit overwhelming at first for those used to smaller resorts. Far from town so unable to walk to a village and just browse.

Barcelo Maya Palace: awesome resort

the hotel and all the are awesome, so beautiful. Had a really relaxing vacation at the beach and pool with my daughter and her family .Great food and entertainment everything was fabulous. The pool was great although people would put their towels on the chairs early and you would not get enough chairs to sit together. There was not enough shade at the pool was very hot at times .
