Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence Group: First family trip success!

We absolutely LOVED this resort for our first all inclusive family trip with our 3 year old and 6 month old. The service from the staff was 5/5. The private pool room was absolutely perfect for the current stage we are in with our two children. Having the “backyard” and pool was so handy for us with our baby napping and entertaining our toddler. One issue with the room would be the slippery showers. Based on trip advisor reviews we knew to bring a bath mat. I think that would be something gr [... read more]eat for the hotel to provide. Otherwise, all necessities were available for our baby to help reduce what we needed to pack. Our toddler loved the kids club splash pad and we look forward to bringing them back and entering our oldest in the day programs. The entertainment was great and we thoroughly enjoyed watching our toddler live his best life during the Superheroes and Princesses show. We loved the Mexican and steakhouse and Buffett was impeccable. Only issue with food would be the buffet should be available every night of the week. Size of the resort was perfect. My mother met the owners of the resort who were visiting from Spain, at the main lobby bar and they were very keen on knowing how our kids were enjoying the resort and were very interested in knowing if their staff were treated well. This sat very well with us. We have already made plans with several couples with children to return to this resort in the future.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great resort

We really enjoyed our stay, grounds were immaculate, food was good, wasn’t overly impressed with the service at buffet, but I survived. Loved all the restaurants! Amazing Brazilian bbq and Italian was incredible. I would definitely return, although we spent most of our time off the resort, while we were there we were pleased. Also, pool could have stayed open even an hour longer. 6 is a little early in my opinion. All in all, good time, good food lots of memories.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Excellent week

This is my second stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Akumal, adult section. We were once again, very pleased with our stay. The hotel is a little over an hour from the airport, which might be an issue for some, but not for me. Check in was speedy. Our requests were all accommodated. We did have to change our room the second day due to our shower backing up, but staff did their best to assist. Rooms are spacious and very, very clean. We were a bit disappointed in the changes of the menu in the seafood restaurant (which was one of our favourites last year) and in the Italian restaurant (which was also a favourite last year). Staff everywhere were pleasant and helpful in every way.

Grand Sunset Princess: Nice

Front desk staff can’t get there things right. Arrived at 330Pm and didn’t get room till almost 730pm. They gave us a room that was already occupied by another couple and walked in on them so had to go back to get a unoccupied room and that took forever. Other than that the resort is nice and people are really friendly, food was good, drinks are plentiful and great rooms.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Unlike anything we expected

This resort was nothing like we expected. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable and if you needed anything all you had to do was ask. There were monkeys climbing around the trees, macaws in the lobby area and other wildlife to see. The pool was huge and the food was good with a big variety to choose from. The only thing we didn’t care for was the 2 hour sales pitch to join their Royal Club. The amenities they showed us for the Royal Club were more upscale and very nice but also wildly expens [... read more]ive. Nice for some but it was not for us. I think they need to figure out another way of introducing the Royal Club to their guests instead of taking time out of a guests day, almost felt a little tricked into it with a note on our door that says they want to give you a welcome gift. All in all a good vacation and would recommend to others.

Costa Club Punta Arena: Get what you pay for, but nice

This has been my 2nd time here I like the staff they have become my friends and specially "Nekko" he's the best to help or assists very helpful This is not a 5 star but good place to stay. Staff are great, friendly and always willing to help. There are no elevators, but they did accommodate me by giving me a room on the ground floor, because I have a knee replacement Food is ok everyone can find something to eat and the Ala Cart restaurant is good which you can make reservations daily to eat n [... read more]ightly. The grocery store "Mega" is next door. They put on a lot of shows nightly, most shows are in Mexican so you cant understand. There are lots of Mexicans that stay there with the family/kids and seem to cater to them more Not a place to relax just party, sleep and eat. WIFI only works up at the lobby bar and the beach you can not swim there is a big undertow. Very clean there too the staff are always cleaning

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: The best

We loved every second of our vacation at the Grand Moon Palace. We had high expectations and this resort exceeded them all! We will definitely be booking another trip at this same resort Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Catalonia Playa Maroma: Perfect for a chill family vacation!!

Love this hotel!! It's small enough that walking around with little ones is not an issue and big enough that there are tons of places to hang out, eat, enjoy the weather, do activities. We've gone to many resorts that are super loud around lunch time and you can't really rest, and Catalonia was super quiet 12-3 which was ideal for anyone wanting to rest, little ones taking a nap, or just being able to hear the sound of waves. Also lots of nature so walking to the beach and lobby and back again was never a chore because of all the shade. Really clean, and has lots of cute Coatis and who doesn't love having cute animals around. We also loved that the hotel was very eco friendly. No plastic or too much paper around. And water was always fresh/refilled and we had more than enough!! Overall a great experience! We will be back!

Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Can't wait to go back

A beautiful resort with so many options. The resort itself had a number of easy to get to pools allowing us to choose being with people or kids or having seclusion. The beach on the ocean is small but there are many sandy coves with beach chairs and hammock along the river and trails that meander through the property. Good food on our vacation is important and we were not disappointed - the Japanese and Cantina were our favourites. We especially enjoyed the evening show at Xcaret, the dinner show at the resort and the band Bullet Queen at the Cantina 3 nights during the week. Sound does easily carry from the hall into your room so get a room away from noisy areas such as bridges. Having access to the parks most of which are on the grounds with shuttles or boats running frequently included was amazing. You could go for a few hours and not worry about seeing and doing everything in one visit. We were able to create a perfect tailored mix of activity and relaxation. The fantastic shows, ziplining and variety of river and cave floats were our favourites. There was never long lines anywhere. We've been to a lot of resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean and it's rare when go twice because there are so many good options. This is a do again!

Royal Solaris: Very nice

Very nice and clean,people very frendly. The Beach is awesome. The location very good, not so far to the airport. The food was good and tasty a lot of choice of vegetables and good fish and good deserts.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Home Away From Home

Although this resort is older, it is so clean , with beautiful grounds, hardworking staff, and a great beach. Total relaxation is here! Nightly shows are excellent. The number of repeat guests is amazing - a true testament for this resort.

Grand Sens Cancun: Party Central - Terrible Buffet

We stayed here for 4 nights from Feb 4. This hotel is really geared to a young, party crowd. Very loud music at the pool all afternoon. If you can take the noise, don't expect a good meal at the buffet - been to many resorts and this was the worst - poor variety and all breakfast items were cold everyday. 2 outdoor a la cartes had pretty good food but were too small and service very slow. Beach chairs in very poor condition and all need to be replaced. We will not go back to this or the neighbor [... read more]ing Oasis hotels until we see much improvement in reviews.

Amazing customer service Our room the grounds the restaurants the beach very clean and manicured Went over and above Hipolito went over and beyond to make all of our dinners to be an enjoyable experience every night. The night show were very entertaining

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Beautiful resort!

We stayed at the Maya the 1st week of Feb 2020. It's a beautiful resort. We arrived around 10pm and restaurants were closed, but room service is available 24 hrs a day. The grounds are clean & well-maintained... very pretty. We were in bldg 63 which was perfect & central to pools, beach, restaurants. Our room was large with a king bed, sitting area & balcony facing the wave pool. Buffets were very good with plenty of options. We really enjoyed our vacation.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Resort Amazing!!! Fly with Air Transat or book through Trip Central probably not!!

Resort is amazing clean big and beautiful and great food. Recommended it totally. Flying with Air Transat or booking through trip central is very questionable. 9am depart from Toronto We were 1.5hr delay taking off when we arrived at the airport in Cancún or shuttle left with out us before we even got off the plane..oh wait we didn’t have a shuttle because who ever booked us,put us arriving in Cancún at 630pm which our arrival time was 115pm. After we approached the airport Air Transat rep i [... read more]n Cancún they told us the issue. They tried to get myself to pay $180us for a taxi to the resort. Told the hotel would refund us when we got there. Yah right!! After an hour of trying to figure something out and told the next shuttle would be 2hrs from then. We asked another shuttle from a different airline to give us a ride. Thankfully they did. Not a great start to our vacation! Once we arrived at the resort it was great. Till we talked to the trip rep at the resort which again said we weren’t on any paperwork to return. Uneasy feeling worrying is there going to a return shuttle! After checking twice and explaining our concerns they were able to set something up. Was a stress no one should have to worry about!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Resort

The Resort was huge and a week is not enough to take it all in. Even though the one buffet restaurant was closed there was no lack of great food. The staff were amazing. The drinks were fantastic. The beach was great water fabulous. Shows were great. I would go back.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Fantastic Vacation!

Just returned from a week at The Grand. It was fantastic. The pros - food was great (especially appetizers), drinks were flowing, resort was clean, and staff were amazing. So many things for kids to do, they will never utter the words "i'm bored". The cons - only thing I can think of is the beach isn't the greatest...but honestly it didn't matter. Would absolutely recommend this resort!

NYX Hotel Cancun: Disappointing holiday

The NYX hotel was somewhat disappointing for us. Upon arrival in our room we discovered our room bar fridge had no drinks at all including water. We asked the front desk and their response was to go buy some. Not a good first impression. The front desk staff were friendly but unwilling or not able to give us a late check out which was disappointing for us as our room generally wasn't cleaned until 3:30 or later every day. On a brighter side, the waiters and bartender were friendly and attentive. Can't say nothing bad about the service. They were all wonderful. The room we had was spacious and gave us a fantastic view however, we felt like we were sleeping on a rock. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard. We woke up every morning to an incredible view which compensated for some of the other let downs.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Wow!

Well first off let me say what wonderful staff! Every staff member we encountered was just so eager to help you. Just exceptional. The food, again was wonderful! I am a vegetarian and have a severe egg allergy. I was stuffed all week and was able to eat a variety off food. The only time I had to ask them to make something special was when we were to the Brazilian restaurant (because it’s meat) but that was only for a main course. However a short walk over to the next resort on the public beach and it’s beautiful!
