Barcelo Maya Palace: Had a fantastic time at an amazing resort!!

The grounds were so clean and beautiful!! The staff was pleasent and very helpful!! Was nice that we had access to all of the resorts on the strip and went from one to the other and so on. The food was great at all the buffets and the a la carte restaurants we excellent!!! The rooms were spacious and welcoming

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Lovely resort!

We had a few hiccups but it ended being a great vacation. They sprayed our room twice for bugs and after that we didn't see anymore. Our Jacuzzi didn't work but within 5 mins the man was there to fix it. They gave us an interview and wrote down all the areas that we thought they could improve on. They really aim to please and accept any constructive criticism. Pools were clean, lots of lounge chairs, great games around the pool and good entertainers at night.

Paraiso de la Bonita: Gorgeous rooms

Just returned from 5 days at the Zoetry La Bonita This is our 2nd time visiting . 1st the good -gourgeous rooms Very friendly stafff Great food for the most part , service a bit slow but the staff work really hard and our great I think there just under staffed at times Now the bad !!!! Also there was a constant smell coming from the beach that made me feel ill at times One day while laying on the beach a tractor dropped a bunch of seaweed and we had to leave the smell was so overwhelming!!!!! This resorts should not be charging this amount of money until they fix this problem!!!! This was my first time and I’ve been to Mexico resorts all over Mexico at least 25 times that I’ve not got in the Ocean :((

Grand Sunset Princess: Vacation 2018

Resort is very nice, nothing over and above. Clean, great staff, food was as average as any other resort we have visited in Mexico. Liked the fact that they have more than 1 swim up bar. Makes the pools less congested around the bars.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Great vacation

everything was perfect, gardens were amazing, room comfortable and clean, food was pretty good, staff was really polite and efficient at every post...beach was beautiful except for the algue I felt safe and will definitely go back

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Everything You'd Want in a Resort

Secrets Akumal turned out to be as good as the reviews said; from facilities, to food, to service, to beach and ocean's water, to entertainment, were five star! We were an older couple (67) who prefer the more tranquil get-away-from-winter resorts and we were more than pleased to spend the week in the sun and fun of Secrets Akumal We will definitely return! A big thank you to all the hard working staff who made our stay a pleasure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Quiet and tropical

Great resort if you want a quiet adults only location or you can afford to play golf. The beach is a little far away and the other resorts are large and noisy. The service was exceptional and every issue was dealt with quickly and easily not resolved until I was satisfied.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great Resort!

The resort was modern and clean. The food was fantastic at not only the buffet but also at the variety of 'a la carte' restaurants available. The resort as a whole was beautiful with swim out units in front and back of most of the buildings. We picked a balcony unit this time but if we were to do it again we would want a swim out unit. They had activities each day and evening. We especially enjoyed the Reggae band on the beach one evening. Since we were at the Platimum resort we had full [... read more] access to the ajoining Grand Princess resort. Our room was modern and very clean. The staff were excellent and very friendly. Our only disappointment was the beach. The beach in front of the resort is rocky once you enter the water. It is nice to relax on the sand beach but not for going in the water without water shoes. This was not a problem because we accessed the beach at the Grand Princess and were able to swim there - only a 5 minute walk. Overall we were very happy to have chosen the Platinum Yucatan Princess All Suites Resort for a fun and relaxing time.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Amazing week!

Loved mostly everything about this resort. Food was amazing. Had to wait for the blue moon restaurant for about an hour, but we showed up close to 8pm so kind of expected that. The beach had a lot of seaweed but they were out all day trying to clean it up. Losing battle but they did an amazing job. Had no issues getting a lounger near the pool but we were up by 8am. Grand Sunset Princess: Good time

Grounds were well kept, people were friendly, rooms were good and the layout of the resort was good (lots of pool options). The only downside was the beach water is shallow and the food was good to average.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Paraiso Beach

The grounds were immaculate. The room was lovely. We found the place a little big for us. There lots of walking but we could catch the tram if we needed to. We found the people very friendly. My husband found that the bars did not stock alot of canadian rye. They kept running out. All in all we had a great week.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Lovely resort

pros: lovely grounds, entertainment for everyone young and mature, cons: initial told of an upgrade to a sister hotel Sian Kaan, it turned out not to be, after asking for a quiet room we were put next to an equipment room that housed a air conditioner so we had to sleep with ear plugs, seaweed, i found the atmosphere/staff at Coba friendlier then Tulum

Allegro Playacar: Beautiful Resort!

This resort is pristine! The rooms, grounds, pools, restaurants, etc are impeccably clean and exceptionally well kept. Allegro Playacar is a small resort which allows you the opportunity to get to know the staff and meet many returning visitors. The large pool abuts the beach and the beach is beautiful! It's very long and great for walking... 20 min to Town. Always something to do if you want activity. Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful Resort and so many pools

We really enjoyed our 10 days here, was always something to do, the evening shows were great. Lots of places to eat, the beach had some sea weed but wasn't a problem. the rocks in the water were hard to navigate around and slippery, water shoes were helpful. Room was always clean and fridge stocked daily. Had a massage at the spa, Rosa was great.. Everyone was so friendly here. Had a great time.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: A 5star resort for sure

Grounds were well kept, food was exceptional, never been to a resort where the duvet were actually cleaned daily. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach was small but pools and jacuzzis made up for that

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort

This was our second time to this resort in as many years and it was just as wonderful as it was the first time. Food was amazing, beach was great (although the time we were there they were struggling to keep the seaweed cleared but did a great job!) and the staff was as fantastic as one could hope for. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Nice Resort, Great Stay

Hotel was nice clean, hotel staff were polite, buffets good and ala carte were all good. I have no complaints at all. Next time if we choose this resort I probably would book either in the White Sands or Colonial hotel. I found most of the night events were all going on in that area of the resort. Not a big deal to catch a shuttle back to the Kantenah but still a heads up for future travellers.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Wonderful resort

The resort was well maintained, the grounds were taken care of every morning, plenty of food options. I loved the fact you didn’t need to wear a resort bracelet and there was plenty of lounges around the pool areas and on the beach. The young entertainment staff had so much energy, they kept busy with various activities, volleyball, water aerobics and then helped out with running the evening entertainment as well.

Viva Azteca by Wyndham: Simple, comfortable hotel

We enjoyed our recent stay at Viva Azteca. We are repeat guests who have previously stayed at both Azteca and Maya. The rooms were dated, but clean, cool, and quiet. The mattresses and pillows need replacement. Food was decent, we ate most diners in Playa del Carmen as pre planned. Buffet Waiter Alfonzo was most kind and helpful at breakfast and lunch. The resort did very little to clean up the sargassum seaweed that was in abundance. The daily tractor clean up did nothing at the sh [... read more]oreline. (Tractor did not come near the shore due to erosion concerns.) I was only able to swim in the ocean 1 day, next door at RIU Lupitas oceanfront. (They worked hard at raking daily.) We were happy with the value we received aside from the seaweed problem. They are charging an eco tax, (20 pesos per room per day,) but the beaches were only raked once in 9 days buy a local clean up team that did the entire Playacar beach. There are 335 rooms at Azteca at 20 pesos per day..... My expectations were not met as far as beach conditions/maintenance. Viva should participate in the clean up beyond the tractor & burial.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome resort

Everything was perfect at the resort from the grounds to service quality of food and transportation around the resort. Shows were very good and rooms were clean and spacious . No musky smell at all. English speaking on the resort is excellent as well
