Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Amazing & unique resort
This resort is very well managed Landscaping is unreal , very well design , secure, very well maintained. The bldg. , the room is spacious , hot water in quantity & lot of water pressure. The restaurants are fantastic, the food is excellent, tasty & very good selection We can walk the beach both sides of the resort. For me , there was a lack of water sport...but there nothing can be done to ameliorate the situation. Facing directly the ocean, most of the time it's really too choppy to adve [... read more]
Catalonia Yucatan: Wonderful Vacation
The grounds and facilities are perfect. The beach could be a bit larger, with more capacity, but we managed to find a place to enjoy the sun and surf every day. The food was great - the resort clearly made a big effort to provide a large variety, great presentation, lots of fresh items. Nothing was lacking.
Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great resort
The staff, food and grounds were amazing !!! Best food I have eaten in Mexico My only one complaint they didn’t stock the coffee or face clothes in the room about 2 days in. For a big resort there was never a line up or a crowed pool
Ocean Riviera Paradise: Awesome!
Clean, lots to do, great variety in food and restaurants. Loved the pool table, bowling alley, and ice cream! We stayed for two weeks in the Eden building. View of beach, jungle, and pool. Added touches were great, water pressure, slow close toilet seat. Awesome. Lol
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: perfect everything!!
The atmosphere, the rooms, the pools, the bars, the staff, the cleanliness, the towel exchange, the shopping and the excursions that are available are reasons that we will be going back. Everyone tells us to try another all inclusion at a different location but this one was so perfect both times we were there that that seems silly to us.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Lovely Spot to Relax
This resort is beautiful. The staff couldn't be friendlier and truly are the stars of the show. The grounds are immaculate, the food is delicious, our room was perfect and the entertainment crew are crazy talented. And, if there isn't enough to keep you amused here, you have access to three other resorts - we only made it to Akumel, just didn't have time to investigate all there was to see. The only reason we would not likely return to this hotel is the beach doesn't quite meet what we look [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Awesome, spectacular, overall well managed resortAll staff
All staff are courteous, well trained and provide competent assistance / service Transportation to and from Sian Kan to the beaches and restaurants is efficient and the drivers are again courteous and competent Restaurants serve excellent food , exception is Mikos Restaurant where both food and service are sub-standard- salmon was badly prepared; I was twice served dessert- one of which I had not ordered, and the other which I ordered, in both cases the quality of the dessert was poor. One o [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Nice resort
We liked the resort. The food was quite good. The service staff were very polite. The downside was that there is no direct ocean access. There are retaining wall so there are a couple of small wading areas into the water but you can't go out in to the waves. The photos of the resort do not show that clearly. It appears as though there is clear access. For that reason alone, we won't go back to this resort.
Platinum Yucatan Princess: Quiet and relaxing resort
Was comparable to other 5 star locations we have been to in the area. Food was great, service was prompt and friendly, drinks were cold and plentiful. A/C was a bit lacking (room was set as low as it goes, 22, and it was VERY humid even with the fan on high the whole stay, sheets and clothes were always damp as a result)- this is a very MINOR complaint and would not stop us from returning. Beach was as advertised and reviewed so no surprises there. Quiet resort, but there is a lot of action next [... read more]
Selection Riviera Cancun: Resort good value as long as swimming in Ocean does not matter to you.
The was a very clean well ran establishment. Pools were nice food was good. People working there was great. No major rush to find a chair since there were enough good seats for everyone. Evening shows were good. The only major negative was for all resorts in this area is the beach. Sea week more than 1 foot high daily Sharp rocks in water Impossible to swim in the Ocean here. The reef that runs down past these hotels make it impossible to enjoy the water in the Ocean. Beach sand nice but swimmin [... read more]
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Nice resort
Water at the beach was brown. Didn't want to go in. Pools were nice. Got sick ever day from the food. Spent a lot of time in the washroom. Food was always cold. Not a lot of shaded areas to sit by the pools. Didn't like having to pay for lost hotel or pool cards. Not a lot to do unless you paid for an excursion.
El Dorado Seaside Palms: Wonderful Culinary Getaway!
We were amazed at the quality of the place! The food, staff and cocktails were definitely 5 star and worth going for - not at all what you’d expect at an all inclusive. Go for the swim up suites and the more attractive Sensimar side. (The Eldorado side isn’t nearly as attractive). Local excursions into neighbouring Tulum were easy to coordinate independently.
Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Beautiful Resort
We just returned from the Royalton Cancun. We were in a swim up suite in the Hideaway Section with Diamond service. We were very pleased with this resort. The rooms were very comfortable and well maintained.Food and service was terrific.Room service was quick and dependable. Not once were we bothered with anyone selling anything. The butlers were wonderful(Jose and Alavero). All staff members were very pleasant and always seemed happy to serve us.Pool towels were never an issue. We are very happy we fo [... read more]
Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic experience
Nothing but good reviews for this resort. The staff were beyond friendly, the rooms were great, beautiful pools and beaches. Food was incredible. Resort was very big, and transportation was always available to the different locations around the resort. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Would 100% go back.
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Great resort!
Amazing housekeeping staff! Some issues with our room but maintenance fixed them within an hour of our arrival. Wait staff were awesome and remembered your coffee/tea order from day to day. Buffet food could be hotter but great variety of food. Trolleys rarely run so be prepared to do some walking from the lobby to the beach and back, not a long walk but could be very hot at times. Lots of wildlife visible, deer, iguanas and coatimundi, thankfully didn't run into any crocodiles but there was a w [... read more]
Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Amazing
This hotel property is absolutely stunning. I thought the lack of onsite entertainment would be an issue but it was not. So many different pools, lagoons and rivers to swim, snorkel and boat in that we didn't miss it. If we had too much sun, we simply went to one of the included parks. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Enjoyed our stay
My husband and I are fairly new to the concept of all-inclusive resorts. Things we enjoyed about our stay: 1. Convenient airport transfers. 2. The location - very central to access Mayan ruins at Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza and away from the bigger tourist centres. The Tulum ruins were only 15 minutes away taking the local collectivo vans. 3. Sian Ka'an is one of five resorts connected by trams. Mostly full access to different types of resorts allowed us to try out different locations. 4. [... read more]
Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Left to be desired
Reception: Chaotic. Got taken care by a really nice guy...who turned out to be a time share's guy that was trying to sell something. Room: Great. Got what I asked for, higher floor with an amazing gardenview (Building 8). Fridge restocked daily with 4 beers and 2x 1L water. Maid was great. Food: Not too impressed. We found the buffet limited and not very tasty. We tried 4 a la carte (Oriental, seafood, steakhouse and Italian) and none were satisfying. Beach: Didn't use it enough. Lots of weed [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Colonial: great Hotel
Good hotel Service is excellent Beach is horrible rocks all around toes get banged up from walking in the sand or swimming in the sea . Pools are great lots of chairs no worries about reserving chairs early in the morning. Not all drinks are included in the price you must pay extra for Zambuca or ryes these drinks are Premium according to them.Great people staff is friendly. No rules for restaurants they let you in with jeans and t-shirts. They let you smoke pot around the pool not im [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Fantastic vacation
We had a really good time at the Barceló Maya Colonial resort. All the staff were really friendly. The resort is kept very clean. Food was good, drinks were good, weather was awesome. We usually don't go to the same resort twice, but I would probably go back to this one.
