Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort with a great value!

We stayed at this resort for a week in early June 2014, 3-4 sunny days and 2 cloudy days with frequent rain patches! In total, I am very happy with the service and quality delivered regarding the very affordable price for the full package. The staff were super nice and helpful. The entire resort was recently renovated so the room and facilities were clean and like brand new. We were provided safe and cool drinks in the room with no need to pay extra fee. And about the beach, Cayo Coco has one of [... read more] the most gorgeous beaches in the Caribbean so needless to say, the beach area was really amazing! It was all transparent water with white sand and a bunch of yellow and silver fish swimming around you! The variety of drinks compared to my past Caribbean experiences was more; however, I was expecting a better variety of food and snacks in the main buffet. The drinks were not too sweet and the taste was authentic and the main bar was open 24h serving a wide range of domestic and imported cocktails and drinks so it was another plus for this resort. I loved what they called Pina Colada! The taste of dairy products was also so natural that worth trying. This resort is located in a remote area and the closest urban location is a small town called Moron which is almost 45mins drive so if you want to avoid a hectic and busy neighborhood, relax and enjoy the beach, go to Memories Flamenco Beach Resort! You would never be regretful.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Loved it here

Loved this hotel, especially watching the sailboarders. Younger crowd at the beach, families gathered by pool . Long beach to walk on with cool breezes. Drinks and snack offered near the beach and pool.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Our favorite family vacation resort!

We returned to the Hotel Colonial and will again! We are a family of 5 with 2 teenage boys (13 and 16) and a 14 year old daughter. This was our second time at this resort. We always find something to eat, the beach is amazing, the staff is fantastic and the rooms are clean. No you will not find the diversity of food and the rooms are not that luxurious but this is Cuba. What you do get is a very relaxing vacation, with staff that are extremely helpful and friendly and all for a great price.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: “Great vacation with some disappointment”

I stayed in this hotel from may 29 june 5.Overall the hotel is excellent.This resort has one of the most beautiful landscaping in Cuba.The service, room , entertainment ,beach ,was very good.The food was like everywhere in cuba.I was just disappointed with the store service and money exchange.My advise if you buy something in the store check your change before you living the store.Some reason sometimes they give you back less than have to.The cigars dont have a price tag and when i but a pack of [... read more] small cigars the lady cover with her finger the barcode and try to scan it and she say cannot scan but this cost 8 CUC so i paid and left.After i find out another person paid 6.50.The cigars cost anyway too much 22 CUC one cigar at the airport you can buy for 15CUC.Another day i went to exchange the CAD to CUC and the lady at the bank told me the rate is 81 for 100 cad and dont show me on the computer screen she "cant turn on because broken" .Another day a man was there which was very helpful and he show me on the screen the exchange rate which was 84.5.So if you change your money ask about the rate. Overall i like this hotel.

Hotel Vigia: Resort and food ok, the beach.... amazing

Disllikes:The hotel was average, they brought an extra bed to our room and the covers on the mattress were very very dirty. Fridge was not working. Food was very repetitive and lacking flavour. Likes: The staff was very friendly, welcoming. Well kept grounds in the resort. The Beach was amazing!!!! 10+++++ Would only recommend going to this resort if it's for the right price!!!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Quaint & friendly with lovely pool & beach!

The Beach is awesome & so is the newer pool! This hotel is set up like a colonial community & is very quaint. They have been refurbishing the units but some are still not finished. Stay with unit 16 & 17 & you won't be dissatisfied. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable & amenities well cared for. The grounds are lovely as you can see from pictures online but the staff make the place! They are truly wonderful!! Muthu Colonial Hotel: Great value.

Good service, clean, friendly staff, overall good value for the money. Easy access to the airport however no airplane noise. Beautiful beach with friendly morning activities. I would definitely recommend to the people on the budget.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice Resort

A very nice resort. Rooms were spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room was in one of the buildings furthest away from the main lobby, but the distance wasn't far from any of the public areas on the resort. We loved the beach and were able to get the same spot each day. We were always up early and were able to reserve the same chairs under the trees. The water was fantastic and the beach was beautiful-long and great for walking. The food in the buffet was good and there was a lot  [... read more]of selection. They made the best omelettes and excellent pasta. Fairly isolated so not much sight-seeing. We rented a taxi for a half day and enjoyed see the area. If you decide to do this make sure you specify that the driver must be able to speak english. Our driver could only speak enough english to get by. This is a decent resort but nothing fancy. I would definitely go back to this resort and recommend it to people who love Cuba.

Club Caribe Cayo Coco: Amazing holiday

The room location was amazing and the staff was great. What an amazing beach vacation, didn't make it to the pool as the ocean was amazing everyday. The rooms were clean and large and cleaned every morning with fresh towels. The lunch BBQ at the beach was great the fish was so good. We eat the fresh fish daily and the pasta and pizza was really good. Breakfast we stayed with the toast and eggs. The lobby bar made the best spanish coffee. The 24hr snack bar had really good hamburgers and fries. I [... read more]t was nice having the little shops right on the resort. The disco was awful but the shows were nice some better than others. We are hoping to go back next year.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: relaxing in paradise

Beautiful grounds, great pool, well equipped gym, and friendly staff. As a couple we had a great week at this resort but there were only about 50 people there. This meant great service, lots of choices of loungers but the entertainment was lacking both during the day and mostly at night.

The ground are very nice and people very friendly, nice employes , public areas are very will kept , looking good. The beds are very comfortable in the lovely rooms, with air condoning , T.V , and phone. Dining in the resort we had numerous places to go to , dress up dress down, food is good everywhere you go. Lots of games and entertainment, to join in and enjoy. I would do it again. Thanks Donne

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fabulous resort

Great place for family to create memories. This resort lived up to it's name. Kids area was fantastic & the staff made me feel secure to leave the grands kids with whille I dove into a novel. Food was delicious @ buffet & a la carte Asian. Beaches were awsome & the property very clean. Improvements could be more efficient beverage & bottled water supply, more towels in rooms. There was abit of mold in our bathroom by the tub.

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort

Service was superior. Beach was amazing as was the pool area. Specialty restaurants were above average as was the buffet. Liked that you could pick your portion of chicken/fish/beef,etc and watch as it was being prepared.

Hotel Mojito: Great value for the money!

Iberostar Mojito is an older resort and my room was proof of that. However, they kept it very clean and were doing lots of maintenance to the resort while I was there to keep it looking good. It wasn't a busy time of year at the end of May, so not all of the a la carte restaurants were open, which was a shame because it would have been nice to have dinner at more than just one. Going alone, I wanted to be sure I didn't get sick, so every time there was a cooking station open, that's where I went to get my meal, so they could make it fresh. My room was clean and the maid was very nice. But I was at the end of one of the buildings and when I walked out of my room along the side of the building to get to the pool, there was a used condom on the grass. It was there the whole week, and it probably is still there to this day. Totally gross. I certainly didn't expect more than what I got, but for $800, I'd say it was a great vacation. All the staff were very friendly, with the exception of one grumpy cigar shop employee, and I felt they would all go that extra mile to make your stay a pleasant one. The beach alone was worth the $800! I couldn't believe how beautiful the beach was! And it was so great that it wasn't busy, because it was like having the beach all to myself. It was nice that the resort had people on the beach that would bring the lounge chairs to wherever you chose to sit for the day, and because it wasn't a busy time of year, there was always a cabana available. Would I go back to Cuba after this experience? Absolutely! Would I stay at this resort again? Yes! As a single person, it was very important to me that I felt safe and I certainly did at this resort. The security was tight at the front gate, patrolling the beach and the resort grounds.

Dinners were delicious in the Italian restaurant,rooms very clean, pool staff amazing, coffee and walking on the beach a must, dance place way too loud though, pools clean and drinks delishhhhhhisss. Piano bar a main highlight!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort for couples and families

The service at Memories was excellent. The manager of the hotel meets with all the guests and really cares about your stay. The rooms were very spacious, new and comfortable. The staff were all wanting to please their guests. Lots of multi generational families were having a great time. The food was really good. We loved the fish and seafood served on the beach. We went horseback riding on the beach and had a great time. The only complaint about Cayo Coco is there is no village life nearby.

beaches - perfect food - edible and some pleasantly good excursions = very reasonable staff and rooms very hospitable the size of the resort was just right not too big the shows could use some work on them, but being a new resort they were passable

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Super service at Pestana

We stayed at Pestana Cayo Coco Cuba in late March of 2014.The rooms all new and very well maintained and cleaned. They include a nice balcony, in room safe , flat screen tv, living area. Beds are comfortable. Check in was quick and efficient. The entertainment team was great. The beach and pools were great. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Good for tight budget party goers.

I went with a large group of friends and had a blast at this resort. The staff were friendly, but the building was a little run down. My friend also had his room broken into and all his stuff stolen by another client his first night there. The food was ok, but I really only enjoyed breakfast. The beach was small and windy so we were pool side most of our trip. Would go some where nicer next time.

Clean, good food great value for the money beach is amazing great for families with small children and older people quiet and relaxing activities very reasonably priced will be back to this great place
