Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fantastic resort!

Resort is superb. Food is terrific. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and spacious. A great thank you to Kevin the Guest Sevices Manager and Rene our Guest Relations person. We ate at the Don Pablo, Mikado Teppanyaki and Portofino. We had a Gran Bahia spa relaxing carribean massage. We played a round of golf on the superb Robert Trent Jones Riviera Maya golf course. Overall we had a terrific holiday and would return in a flash!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Outstanding Resort

I went with a group of 10, all with high expectations. I can honestly say that we all left with not one complaint aside from our holiday ending! The staff are all so kind and go out of their way to remember you, always with a smile and wanting to ensure you are enjoying yourself. I am personally very aware of my surroundings and like things to be very clean. My room, the restaurants, the buffet meals, entertainment areas and even the halls shine from being cleaned constantly. Truly brilliant!! T [... read more]he only complaint that was shared by most of the 10 is the bathroom in the rooms could stand a couple more lights. Having said that there is a wall mounted make-up mirror that is a treat. We checked and the bathrooms were very clean both in our rooms and the other ones as well. This certainly would not keep any of us from returning, it is just a suggestion to strive for all around excellence!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good Resort

We stayed at this resort 4 years ago and again this April 2-9.2015. There were a few things that we noticed had changed since 4 years ago. The most important was the food, it was not as good this time. The selection seemed to be the same most days and most times the food was only warm. We ate at Tulum a few times and it was better. Also the service was less this time. Not sure if it was because it was Easter weekend as the resort was packed and maybe not enough staff. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Time

I was really impressed with the rooms and services at this hotel. It was my first time in Mexico and second time at an all-inclusive. The staff was very friendly. It was never a problem to get a chair at the beach or by the pool. Even though the beach was beautiful, the water was fairly rough, and they have these fake rocks to break the surf. There was snorkel gear to rent for free but the water was never "calm enough" and we were not allowed to use the gear.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: we loved it

Everyone was so nice food good, loved the beach and the pools very pretty grounds, . The only thing was sand flies, bring bug stuff for before and after the bits. Also when you buy WiFi keep that little card you get sometimes you need it to re log in, And the fried cheese is amazing, wish they had it everyday

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Awesome Resort!!!

We had a wonderful vacation! The resort is groomed to perfection with nothing out of place. The food is amazing with a selection like no other. The staff always have a smile even when some of the tourists do not. The pools are great and you could pick where from relaxing or getting involved with activities. The beach was endless for walking. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Fun resort!

It is big, but there is something to do for young and old! You definitely will not be bored because there is always something going on. Food was good and lots of variety. Service was good and always there if you need help. Rooms are clean, cozy and it was nice to have 24hr room service. Loved how we were close to the beach, villa 5! Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: One bedroom master suite was awesome!!

We had 2 one bedroom master suites and both were awesome, with two bathroom, two balconies, two a/c, king beds and living rooms. We had no problems with either. Food was good and altho repetitive, we always found enough to eat. A la carte restaurants were pretty good, but I have had better at other resorts. Liked having vendors at the very end of the beach just off resort and not bugging you constantly!! Beach is over a km long with lots of chairs and palapas as well as shade trees all along it. [... read more] The resort runs the entire length of beach and can be quite a walk if you're at either end of resort. We were about 10 minute walk from main areas but there are also pools on each end and we were next to the snack bar,but didn't really mind the walk as it gave us some exercise. We were a 30 second walk to beach where we spent most of our time. Beach was darker sand, but powder soft and never needed any beach shoes when swimming. The long beach meant no crowding and beautiful to walk on. Locals were allowed in resort Good Friday to Easter Sunday causing pools and Buffet to be VERY crowded,but still lots of room at beach. Great bar service even if not always tipping! They did miss our rooms 3 nights with turn down service, but not a big deal for us. Mini bar stocked every day often with extra and our room was ready when we arrived at 12:30pm. Bit of a drive from airport,but a very nice resort at a decent price with nice little extras in our rooms!! Had a great vacation and would return and recommend!! :)

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice but way to crowed

Very large resort hard to get seats at pool, beach or shows even lobby was packed at all times. On several occasions seated at buffet only to return and someone else seated at your table. Very child friendly avoid if not your thing. Rooms are definately showing thier age. Was not cheap vacation and have stayed at much nicer resorts. I was dissapointed and would not stay at a Grand Bahia again. Grounds were nice. There was no extra touches. Room safe was not included, in room fridge was not resto [... read more]cked daily. Entertainment was good. Overall maybe give this resort a pass.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Immaculate Resort - Great People

The grounds were immaculate. The rooms were extremely well kept. It is a very large resort but very well organized. They made a special effort for our anniversary. The restaurant at the beach was absolutely amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Satisfied

Great staff, food...just found it too big-larger than I am used to. A lot of the drivers could not communicate as they spoke very little English. it was very easy to get lost by going down the beach too far and getting on the wrong train line.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: wonderful resort

This was my 3rd stay at a Grand Bahia Principe resort. This resort was beautiful. The food was absolutely amazing. Many drinks to choose from but each bar tender had their own way of making drinks, so if you find a drink you like....remember who made it. The staff was great but felt a bit uncomfortable when the washroom maid wouldn't leave the room. All in all it was wonderful and would recommend this resort to anyone traveling to Puerto Plata.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good resort for a quiet get away!

The El Portilla was a nice quiet resort with a beautiful beach, good food and very good service. The resort itself was well maintained and clean and the junior superior suite we stayed in was spacious and clean. The resort was small enough to walk around without difficulty but large enough so you could find quieter areas to sit and relax. I would recommend this resort to those who want to have a quieter vacation scene.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful, relaxing resort

We had a wonderful time at the Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an. The staff were excellent and very friendly, accommodations were clean and modern, the food was delicious - every meal and the pools were lovely. The chairs by the pool can be reserved quite early in the morning, so I would recommend waking early to land that perfect spot around the pool. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: very pretty resort

overall opinion , I would go back in a minute.. the service we received was awesome..our room was spotless..fridge had a little trouble freezing the water and pop, but at least it wasn't warm.and always stocked ,,. the grounds were extremely well kept.. the buffet restaurant was amazing, clean and fresh..the servers were excellent, thankyou Mario..great fellow.. the A La Carte restaurants were good, but prefer less buffet. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Good resort

All in all this is a very good resort. We were on the Don Pablo side (Luxury). I enjoyed this as we had our own pool area, restaurants, lobby, etc as well as being able to use the rest of the facilities. The A La Carte restaurants were great !! The buffets were really good as well. The pools are very nice !! The rooms are also very nice .... all suites :) My only negative comments about the resort are: The resort layout is the not the best. It took most of us about 4 days to figure out where things were and how to get to the restaurants, lobbies, etc. Not a huge problem when you are on vacation though !!! We didn't see too much of the entertainment but what we did see was ok. Nothing fabulous but ok. All in all, it was a good resort for the money spent !!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Favourite Resort in Samana

I have been to the DR 7 times 4 of which to Samana and this resort is my absolute favourite. Breath taking views, very clean and fabulous meals and staff. I would recommend this resort. You will not be disappointed.

The hotel is very well looked after. The grounds are neat and tidy and rooms are in good shape. The staff in the hotel bar, beach bar, restaurant and a la carte were superb! So much fun and provided great service. The housekeeping staff were exceptional, my room was always well stocked and clean. My only disappointment was that I believe the front desk staff tipped a local about me going into town to get some money. A person met me and my friend part way between the hotel and the bank and seemed [... read more] to know that was where we were going and persisted in accompanying us. In the end it made me so nervous that I ended up abandoning and coming back to the resort. When I approached the front desk staff to talk about what occurred, a new person was behind the counter and he just laughed and said that man that followed us to the bank must have just liked us. I would also caution that this resort is pretty quiet at night, we traveled as a group of 10 women and were there to have a fun get away, but no night life after 11:00 as most people at the resort are couples. We were also "shushed" at the buffet for being too boisterous.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Very impressed

This was my first visit to Mexico and from getting off the plane to arriving at the lobby of the Akumel resort was very pleasant.(approx 1.5 hrs but worth it) We were given #71 villa and I would without hesitation say very clean ! After dropping off the luggage off to the buffet WOW. What to choose ... Took me by the end of the week to figure my menu likings.... I would recommend that you book your ala cartes when you arrive so you can get in.. Don Pablo was our favorite .. Spectacular 2nd place [... read more] was Harlequin. We had read before on blogs that you have to get up early and get a lounger by the pool we didnt do that we were at the beach close by the pool/pool bar - It worked well. Everything was in close proximity. The trolly system was good once you figured out getting you to the lobby and other resorts (not hard just have to ask) and by the way we were able to go to all of them enjoying the buffets. This year we went with two other couples next year we are hoping to go with more. Missing Mexico until next year....

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good food, beach and rooms

A very big resort with 5 resorts in one so you don't get bored easily. The buffet food is good (much better than I experienced in Cuba and Mexico). The a la cartes are hit and miss (favourites were the seafood (El Pescador) and Italian. The beach is nice but a little wavy on some days, great colour. This season there was a lot of seaweed (not gooey but like sticks) in the water and on the waterline. The staff picked it up every morning and you would have some accumulate into the late afternoon. [... read more] If you like to sit in the shade on the beach you must claim your chairs before 8 am! The entertainment was lacking. We only went to one evening theatre performance - Circus theme on Thursday night - because we had heard it was the best - and it was very good. Bring plenty of mosquito spray because you will need it in the evenings. Having said all that I would still give the resort 5 stars as it was a great week and the above mentioned things were minor nuisances but not enough to over shadow a great week!
