Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Sol Melia Hotels and Resorts - Veradero Cuba
This hotel ranks at the top for Cuba visitors. The beach is fabulous and you definitely need to upgrade to Royal Service. The pool was hot and required more daily maintainence. I am fussy when it comes to eating and I never went home hungry!
Melia Cayo Coco: Good hotel
Nice hotel but it is not a 5 or 4 star, run down and since we have been there 2 years ago the hotel reduced the food, eg.from lobster to lobster paella only and the hotel redused the staff as well, we paid same price but it is not the same any more as it was 2 years ago.
Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing new resort!
Great new resort. Was there with my wife first 2 weeks of August. Everyone was friendly and enjoyable to be around with some of the staff. Made new friends. The beach was very lovely with crystal clear ocean. The food was good - no complains, you need to choose what you like and let them know how to prepare it . Nice variety of food in the buffet for everyone's taste. We had the opportunity to dine in all the 3, plus the level, reservation restaurants. All were good. My 2 best restaurants were: [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: What a fantastic resort.
I stayed in a royal service ocean view room in June 2014. This resort is just amazing. My room was spotless. The marble floors were very clean and the washroom in my suite was nothing short of spectacular. The walkout shower was an experience to remember. The whirlpool tub was large and I enjoyed the scented salt crystals which were provided at no extra cost. I found the king size bed a little hard for my taste so I mentioned that to my butler and he said he would fix it for me. I went out and b [... read more]
Melia Tropical: Melia Caribe Tropical Punta Cana
Check-in was dismal - took one hour after which two employees took another 15 minutes separately telling us all about the resort while trying to get us to attend a meeting about the Melia chain (all of which we had heard at check-in). The room was fair (noisy air conditioner and lighting wasn't great). The bathroom shower was fine if you were five feet tall or shorter, otherwise you had to stoop. No container for the Kleenex box and the glasses weren't wrapped in paper. No kids' amenities in the [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort!
We had an an amazing holiday at this resort. We stayed in the Royal Service section, which we highly recommend. The service was great, and the food was incredible for Cuba. This section offers a private pool, an amazing restaurant, and a private beach area. Our room had an ocean view, which was wonderful. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles. The proximity to Havana is great, and one should not miss that excursion.
Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort
My first time at this resort. Staff was always helpful and friendly. Very clean rooms/resort, great nightly entertainment. I am looking forward to going back in the next year or so. Highly recommended
Melia Cayo Coco: Best ever Cuban vacation
The hotel is a 5 star facility "ADULT ONLY", which was exactly what we were looking for. The service is great, the grounds are kept well and the food was outstanding. We will be back in the near future.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princess Del Mar Sol Melia Hotels and Re
I would recommend this resort to others. The hotel room and grounds were clean & beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The shows were colourful and fun to watch. Food selection was pretty good but some flavour was missing. One negative was the mosquitoes in the bathroom (I was bitten several times in the middle of the night).
Sol Varadero Beach: Good resort
We stayed one week at Sol Sirenas Coral. The food was great and the grounds and public areas were very clean. The service was good the rooms were cleaned every day. LOVE the beach so beautiful. I recommend Sole Sirenas Coral.
Tryp Cayo Coco: We Would Go Back In An Instant!
The Tryp is an amazing resort compared to others in Cuba. The management goes out of their way to please. The food is excellent with lots of choices. The beach is lovely and clean with plenty of beach chairs. We especially liked the quiet pool area. The bartenders were wonderful there. The restaurant on the beach is good. They even had lobster there one day for 10 cuc. It was very warm when we went because we went in June, would choose to go at another time of year next time. The lobby bar was n [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Awesome!!
The grounds, service, hospitality - top notch! Best in Cuba by far!! - This was my 2nd time staying at the resort, but never had the Royal Service the first time. I would take Royal Service again in a heart beat. My mom and I went for mother's day and staff were very helpful with her getting around the resort. Always someone there offering my mom a ride. No waits for restaurant tables, pool chairs, etc. No getting up at 5am to put a towel on your chair - absolutely wonderful!!
Zel Cozumel: Very comfortable and relaxing resort.
Very clean, well maintained, friendly staff. A generally small resort that does a great job of entertainment and amenities to compete with the larger resorts. Service is generally self serve, but getting out of my chair to get a drink is preferable to me. The best beach in the entire area, long, clean, with great swimming. I returned for a second year in a row.
Melia Marina Varadero: beautiful resort
This hotel is beautiful, the grounds, the rooms, the dining well kept and clean. Very impressed. The only thing i would like to see changed is the buffet it seems a bit repetative. Different menus would be nice.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Melia Peninsula Varadero
I have always liked this Hotel, this was 8th or 9th time to Cuba, and this is one of the few hotels I would go back to. This was our second time there and the staff have always been great ,and service is always out standing. Never went hungry and had a great time as always.
Melia Buenavista: Amazing quiet time.
The hotel was beautiful, clean, spacious room and very nice hotel staff. I must say the 24 butler service was key where we were able to order food to our room. I say this because the A-la-carte restaurant were aweful from appetizer to desserts. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was always on point. Lunch at the pool grill was fantastic, as my wife and I had delicious burgers, stone oven baked pizzas and amazingly delicious grilled snapper fish. On our last night we were able to have a romantic d [... read more]
Hotel Vigia: Excellent Resort
This was my 4th visit to Sol Cayo Guillermo and it did not let me down. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Beach is amazing. The buffet was plentiful and excellent variety to offer. Definitely will return.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: great resort
The nightly entertainment was excellent. The specialty restaurants were awesome. The staff was very friendly. The Caribbean night and carnival was an excellent touch to the resort. The water sports were excellent.
Melia Las Dunas: average
Ok, but resort requires some over due maintenance. Such as broken or missing ceramics in one of the pools, light fixtures and windows in dining area requires cleaning, and generally a good coat of paint.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Just a great getaway from Montreal.
We have been there 3 times in the past year and it is always a great trip. We have talked to other travelers staying at other resorts only to hear how much they wished they had stayed at Tryp instead. The trip is simple and easy being only minutes from the Airport. The staff is very warm and friendly and will receive you well at Tryp. The facilities and excursions should keep you busy and entertained while enjoying the beauty of the area. The food has always been very good offering you lots of [... read more]
