Punta Cana Princess: Amazing resort

The resort was clean and the staff were amazing. They supplied fresh water daily and if you ran out all you had to do was ask, at no charge. The ala carte’s were all very good. It was so nice to have one every night. Would definitely recommend it to everyone and would also have a return trip there.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Not amazing but pretty good.

When we arrived at our room we were disgusted. It was so old looking and smelled musty. Being so late at night we had to stay there. No sleep that night and this was an upper class room. I wasn't happy with my agent at that time. We complained and they said they would help us at 9am next morning. We sat in the lobby all the next day waiting for a room. They offered for us to change resorts at a cost of $1000 each. Imagine. We declined. Finally they took us to look at the lower class rooms late a [... read more]fternoon. They were great, clean and updated. We lost at least a day but it turned out a lot better after the room disaster was corrected. The alacartes were good until the cats entered and the birds flying around. The buffet was just ok. I would not go back there myself but not saying it is a bad resort. All in all it was an ok trip. Grand Bavaro Princess: Bavaro Princess All Suites

Considering the resort was hit last year by hurricane it was amazing to see that the gardens and grounds had been restored to such a high level. Most of the gardens were exquisite. Was disappointed to see that the big pool by the beach had been reduced in size since our last visit in order to build more bungalows. We were unable to use the beach very much to catch the sun due to high winds and getting sand blasted while using loungers and palapas. I watch the pool guys meticulously clean the pool every morning but even with all his efforts the pool seemed to be dirty due to paint chips missing. The food quality has greatly declined since our last visit. All the buffets had the same food over and over and all deserts tasted the same whether they were custards, white cake or chocolate cake. At breakfast the bacon was inedible. Not a very good selection on the salad bar of ingredients or dressings to create own salad. The steak house served very tough fillet mignon and T-bone steak that could hardly be cut or chewed. The Japanese restaurant served the best food we ate at this resort for our 2 week stay. We were also locked out of our room 2 nights in a row. The first night required 2 trips to the front desk and a 75 minute wait with the door open for the security guards(they were very nice and appoligetic) about the inconvenience. The next day the same thing happened....we were locked out again and the security had to change the lock once more.....this time was only an hour wait....mindless to say while the door was open biting insects made their way into the room and proceed to enduce multiple bites on my legs and feet. The morning of our departure the hotel did try to make amends by offering us a 2 day free stay which they realized that we could not accept due to our flight leaving in four hours. Complaints were made to the Sunwing rep at the resort but there was no compasion for our ordeal. All in all we will definitely not return to this resort.......we have been there X2 and both times our holidays were less than we expected.

Paradisus Punta Cana: Very nice resort

All the staff worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay and were quick to offer any assistance we may have required. We found everything from the rooms to the grounds and the buffets clean and well-kept. The restaurants were very good and the buffets offered a wide variety of dishes. Not every dish was amazing but we were always able to find something good to eat. Sadly we could never find a chair at the pool because they are apparently reserved for towels. Secrets Royal Beach: Great Resort!

Loved this resort! Preferred is not necessary as the resort Is lovely without the upgrade. Would recommend this resort . Great service , food !! Rooms are large and spacious. We had room overlooking pool! Grounds are breathtaking and well mantained.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing Majestic Elegance

Well I was a bit concerned before leaving for trip of all the negativity on rooms being overbooked and poor quality at resort. I was greatly relieved to get there and not have a problem in this area od concern at all. We had a room very close to where we requested with our other couple we travelled with. One couple that met us there had not booked club and we had hoped to upgrade but on arrival it was full up so they couldn't that day. they were told to request in next couple days but they d [... read more]ecided not to bother. They were happy with their room and it was close to us. We managed nicely with the 3rd couple as we were able to go to ala cartes together and do various activities. We spent time at the swim up pool bar with them and also used our club perks as well. The butler Joan, was very attentive and we saw him every day. In fact he also was great with our other guests. We didn't pay him a exorbitant tip, but we did tip him appropriately. The rooms were very clean and our cleaning lady Oneil was always on time and our rooms done early each day . The bartender Felix in the main lobby was very entertaining as well as Maxima and the bartending staff at the swim up bar . The staff at the Buffet was always smiling and cheery as well as the a la carte staff we used. Forget our cook at the Japanese restaurant but was very helpful in making sure if you didn't like the seafood you still had the other food as well. He was very entertaining as well with his little show for us. This was our 2nd time at the Elegance and would not hesitate to go back again very soon. In fact, my brother in law is intent on a swimup with the two rooms next time.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: No complaints

The experience at this resort has been the best in all the "all inclusive" resorts that I have visited in my extensive travels. Food, accommodations, staff are excellent. We never waited more than a few minutes to be seated or served at a restaurant.

Secrets Royal Beach: Secrets

Good hotel great beach and a variety of restaurants. Don't select the tropical view as it is a view of the service road .we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. Rooms were dated but clean and well stocked

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Well Run Resort

The Ambar Green section is very well maintained and the staff are efficient. Food was exceptionally good. Buffet was always great! Don Pablos Ala Carte was a fav..Many folks loved Brazilian steak house but not great for me. I had a hamstring issue so Trolly was needed to get too far e.g. beach is likely 800 meters away from building 85. Trollys are regular so not a big deal.It is a sprawling resort with many sections. I couldn't play much with gimpy leg or I typically would have hunted things like pool volleyball, which is not played in Green, but saw nets in the Bavaro.and esmerelda sections. Beach is great, ....we had stayed at the RIU next door a few years ago and new it was good. Great quality in the Green Adult only section, though I may try another area if I was feeling more energetic.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Tropical dream resort

What a fantastic resort. My compliments to all staff. Enjoyed their broad smiles, always. Excellent variety of food to please everyone's palate. The grounds were so beautifully landscaped. Our swim up accommodations were very pleasant to the eye. Alphonso, our butler, made himself available to us. What a nice man. Housekeepping staff are to be commended for their daily cleaning of the room. The bars, the beach and the nightly entertainment kept us very amused. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: 2nd Chance

We just got back from the Bahia Esmeralda last night. Last year, I was not overly impressed with this resort for the price we paid. There's just something about this place that makes you want to return. Rooms: Bldg 90 and 91 are closest to the beach. Rooms are very spacious, plenty of storage with the basic hairdryers, ironing board & iron, umbrella etc... Beds are firm but comfortable and you can choose your pillow softness. Fridge is always stocked with 50 ml liquor, beer, chips, pop and wat [... read more]er. I would take a facecloth though as they seem to be hard to come by. I think they use a room spray when they clean because our room ALWAYS smelled amazing. On that note, I have give a shout out to Yubelkis for taking care of us all week! She took pride in her work, did it with a smile and always aimed to please. Restaraunts: There are two breakfast buffets, both serving pretty much the same stuff. The earlier you get there, the fresher the food obviously so if you're a late riser, go for an omelette :) There are many a-la-carts to choose from if you book this resort. I'm not a very good food critic as I'm fussy and found that variety was lacking. My husband thought the food was fantastic though. If I could suggest anything, it would be to the Italian restaurants. With so many amazing Italian dishes to choose from, these menu's really need a make over. Sadly, I had better at a 3 star a la cart in Cuba. There needs to more than spaghetti and cheese pizza to choose from if you don't want meat or seafood. Honestly though, food is just personal preference, no one will go hungry. Entertainment: There are nightly shows that are a lot of fun and games and such at the beach and pool bar daily. The resort chain is so large, and by booking Esmeralda, you have access to all of them so there's plenty to keep you occupied during your stay. Beach: This is a tough one for me and the one reason I said I wouldn't return after last year. It's CROWDED! A little better this year as we didn't have anyone to accommodate that needed shade, but even pulling a lounger down closer to the ocean, there was little meaning in "personal space." It's the one downfall to this resort. If you need shade, or want to sit poolside, rising time is generally between 6:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. I was witness to a LOT of chair "stealing" this week. What I would suggest to readers, is BE NICE! Don't reserve a chair poolside and not show up for 3 hrs expecting it to still be there when there are people that would really like to sit there and can't because there are no loungers left! For the most part, people were very nice, I noticed a couple with an umbrella they hadn't put up so I asked if we could take it and they happily agreed. Overall, this is a wonderful resort, small and intimate if you stay on Esmeralda property or large and action packed if you wonder to the other resorts included so there's a little something for everyone. This is no longer an "adults only" as far as I can tell. I thought it would be adults only from Jan - May but I think it's just family now. Loved everything about the majestic elegance . The grounds were super clean the rooms were perfect! The staff were all great but especially our butler Joan . He was so attentive. Checked on us every day. The buffet was always good. Lots of choices and delicious

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

Everything about this Resort was wonderful, no complaints. Our stay was very enjoyable, the grounds are immaculate,the staff friendly and cheerful and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean, with a large comfortable bed. A la Carte was great, as well as the Buffett a lot to choose from. Pool was nice a little noisy, but that’s to be expected with the bar being there. A lot of pool activity, always something to do. I would recommend this resort to any body.

IFA Villas Bavaro Beach Resorts: Very nice resort

The hotel is really nice and the staff is helpful and friendly. It is ~7 minute walk from the reception but they have carts going to and from the beach very often. We did not find this an inconvenience at all. The evening show was AMAZING! I would go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great holiday at a great resort.

I have read some of the other reviews and I agree, it is not perfect, it is possible to find faults with a lot of things if you look hard enough, but we go to these all inclusive resorts to relax, recharge and enjoy, not complain. All in all, I have no complaints about this resort. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food was very good, and the beach was amazing.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Would not return:

This resort has amazing staff. The staff are friendly and work very hard to attend to your needs. The grounds and pools are very clean .The bar service and entertainment at the pools are also very good. The buffet is very small and has few vegetarian choices. The wait time for the al a carte restaurants are very long ( 1 - 1 1/2 hours). Our room was only cleaned 4 days during our stay . We called housekeeping but this did not help . This created a shortage of towels for us. The shower is in  [... read more]a soaker tub with a small section of glass for the wall and the water sprays out all over the bathroom floor . On the other shower wall is frosted glass and if the shower points this way the bedroom floor is covered in water You need to use the towels to clean up the water . When housekeeping did not clean our rooms we were short of towels.

The hotel is excellent, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, the restaurants and food was top notch! The staff go out of their way to make your holiday excellent. Plan on returning to any of the Majestic Resorts in Punta Cana!

Excellence Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

This has got to be our fave all-inclusive resort ever. Grounds immaculate; rooms super clean; food at the a la cartes as good as any 5 star restaurant and loved you didn't need reservations; staff were friendly and very helpful, no request was too big or too small and was handled immediately; there were enough chairs and "umbrellas" for everyone whether at the beach or at the pool; loved that towels were readily available and you didn't need to exchange them. The only suggestion I would make i [... read more]s that they add more places to put away clothes and hang wet towels, bathing suits, etc., in the rooms.

Grand Palladium Palace: Had a wonderful holiday!

Our bed was the most comfortable that we have ever had on a holiday and the room was clean and spacious. We loved being close enough to the beach to walk their easily. The resort was very clean and easy to access the many bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent customer service. Thanks so much!

Blau Natura Park Resort: Exceeded Expectations but still needs some Repairs

As this was a 3 1/2 star hotel, We managed our expectations before arriving. I was pleasantly surprised by the Blau. The grounds are beautifully manicured and there are flamencos, peacocks and other types of birds all around that are stunning. I would recommend staying in one of the select rooms only as although they are not glamorous they are much better than the standard room which are in need of much repair. The food was very good and so was the service for the most part. The beach had seawe [... read more]ed that wasn't picked up daily and so I probably would not recommend this hotel if your looking for a pristine beach. All in all, with some TLC and with much needed repairs including the front reception area outside roof, this could easily be a 4 star resort. We enjoyed our time there.
