Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not bad not great

The room was a drab and shabby but clean. The bathroom was nice but had trouble with hot water most of the time. The buffet restaurant was on the not so good end of what you can expect in Cuba. The "a la carte" restaurants were really not much better. The grounds were pretty. The staff was friendly enough, with a few exceptions. The beach almost disappears at high tide, but at low tide it's absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Allegro is filled with somthing for everyone

A smile from the ground staff, great help from the service desk, in the dining room you are always welcome, rooms are cleaned daily, even if you came alone, you are not lonely, because there is a game for everyone, even at night, there are entertainment for the kids and adults. The new Manager sings for us at the Welcome Table. The staff knows you and calls you by name, that really makes you feel welcome. Don't forget Cubana Airlines, great flight. I could compare, because it was my (5) fifth oc [... read more]casion at this Hotel. Money well spent for renovations.

Melia Cayo Coco: loved this resort

Food selection was great as was the food quality. Grounds were clean and beautiful. Loved going for walks..... staff were very helpful and always pleasant. Plenty of activities day and night. Never a dull moment.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: not rated as per sunwing book

After checking luggage and waiting we approached the desk again to ask why we coulndt go thru the next area. Person didnt know she checked her computor and said plane late here is voucher $15. the voucher was enough to buy 2 coffee's after all your in the most expensive airport on earth. 5hrs later plane left only to tell us in the air tha tthe airport in cayo coco will not be open they will have to land in santa maria. having travelled there twice we wanted closer to airprot not another 2 hr ri [... read more]de to resort. so in snata maria at 3 am bus finally arrives to bus us over to our resort another journey in its self(not impressed) and dont beleive this is the best sunwing could do. bus stopped half way after 2.5 hrs for a washroom break in the middle of town no washroom bushes and patio.(Discusting) dont do this in my country and now they want you to do it in cuba, come on people show respect! Bus finally gets to resort front desk persons are rude. the room we had smelt like barf so i phoned desk they cant help. so we go back to desk ask for manager he not around(he was never aorund all week for anyone to speak to) finally after an agruement are room was cleaned. pools were great and the bartenders saved the week aske dif things are ok-we gave our list of complaints and said manager not aorund very upsetting. this was our second trip to cayo coco different hotel in cuba we have stayed at two memories and wont go back. pay more and go iberostar where the maager welcomes you speaks each day with people he bends over backwords helping to make sure every person has a great time! departure form memories in lobby like at heard of cows all the airplane people wait for buses and long line ups. finally we find the diamond bus (this was the only thing that the extra $100 got you) they ran out of the premuim liquors etc on day two. remember we lost the whole night. sunwing gave out another voucher $75 for future travel ok but if you you it at resort $25 was taken away not sure if that was the tip for booking our trip or if sunwing told them to take away again from the people. bad in every sense of the way! over all i would never recommend this report no shade, beach rocky, staff misserable other then bartenders at family pool.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Extra Special Treatment

My Stay at Memories flamenco...was Fantastic, The staff bent over backwards to make sure of that . They were friendly and very helpful ..at one point of my stay a young man had watered a plant ,Not realizing the water leaked out on to the floor and i happened to wipe out and thought i broke my hand and foot they were right there making sure i was OK , brought me ice , pills for pain etc ...i was amazed at how well they handled every thing . Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing Trip

We visited Pastana a couple of month ago and we still talk about it! We had a blast! Our room was clean, new and beautiful decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful Gustavo and Victor made our trip. The food was good and we went to the Italian restuarant 3 times - great food! The beach was beautiful! Great music and fun games to keep everyone going! The nightly shows were so fun to watch. The whole resort was clean. We had a great time

Tryp Cayo Coco: Old but beautiful

Spent two weeks there apon arrival was upset with transit there plane issue an spent 6 hours in air port an 4 hours on bus was not happy with room when arrived but was quickly fixed by our rep Jorge with air transit had an amazing two weeks there people were wonderful William in the buffet hall is an amazing server an yanara cooked the best eggs an chicken at the grill all in all I was there two weeks an didn't want to leave when time come would recommend this place to anyone .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Memories Flamenco - A Wonderful Vacation!

Gorgeous beach and a beautiful board walk (makes for great photo ops)! Service was impeccable, great staff. The shows were well put together and very entertaining. Overall a great experience, made all the better by the helpful staff at Trip Central for helping us book everything!

the room at the resort was very clean with fresh linens everyday , the dining staff were amazing and the grounds crew were always busy the walkways and gardens looking nice.Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.)

Hotel Playa Coco: simple but pleasing!

We choose this resort because of the grandchildren! Ice cream parlor .what a treat to walk in and step up the little stairs to over look the ice cream freezer.They were in heaven! The beer garden was right next door..cold bottles and greatest fried chicken fingers or fried fish,tacos,or french fries.lots of loungers around the pool.great beach as well. food was good.always something to eat...pancake maker and lobster cook seem to be only able to cook one at a time! which make line-ups.besides th [... read more]at was my only complaint.. our room was good size,but the beds are low and old! but i did sleep well, The airconditioning unit was poor..so we were moved and it was abit better but not the best. There is a quiet pool area with a bar and a wine garden & nurse;s office.not much shade.gardeners make hats for the kids. Lobby has a bar and entertainment each evening.We never went to showtime as it was 9:30 and alittle late for the children. We enjoyed our stay,servers ,bartenders,front desk employees are all excellent

Muthu Colonial Hotel: a friendly and amazing resort

First..... this is my 4th time at that friendly resort...this yr it was the best , new beds, very clean in public areas etc....dining was better than the previous yrs ... I enjoyed the langostina at lunch for the repited clients and I never went to a resort that the entertainment is fabillous especially the dancers. Even if I knew the second week would be the same show,,I was their to encourage them and telling them that yrs after yrs the dancers are getting better and better (and the shows also [... read more]). Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful people beautiful resort

The rooms were great , the food was excellent as well as the beach area food . The only heart breaking was the beach with all the coral and rocks that no one could get to the water unless they went through an area where they had thrown sand for the children . I cut my foot twice and bruised the bottom of my feet that it lasted 3 weeks . I actual went to the doctor because I was afraid of blood clots . You ask why complain now ? Well I felt that no one would care first of all because it's an area [... read more] that's protected and second of all it's not Trip Centrals fault although I did call to just say that you should warn people to bring water shoes( a must) and let them know . I have pictures of the beach that was just heart breaking for not only grown ups but for little ones who can not go near the water but just play on the sand .

Hotel Camino del Mar: Tropical paradise with the right ambience

The resort was the right choice in relation to enjoying a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The staff were very friendly and outgoing. We enjoyed the food and the beach was an amazing sight everyday with the turquoise water and palm trees.

Hotel Playa Coco: Ok. Get what you pay for

Overall ok. Beach great for families with kids. Beautifull! Food. Lack of selection and lack of food! Period. Lines to bbq grill for bbq chicken only to realize there is none left. The beach bar the lady serving not sure what her name was but really took pride in her job. Always had a smile on her face tipped or not. Wish that i could say the same about the rest . Overall be open minded when chosing this resort and dont expect much. If you get a good price then its worth going but otherwise not  [... read more]worth the money. Spend a couple hundred more elsewhere.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Gorgeous resort

Great service, food and rooms. The lobby bar and terrace had some exceptional servers. Entertainment was the best I've seen in a resort down there. The magician and the guitar man were astounding. Nice beach. The only problem we had was finding chairs. Beach chairs and bar chairs were not too plentiful. Anything busy and people were standing. All in all though, 4 plus a bit, thumbs up....would enjoy coming back!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Loved Memories

This is our 4th time to Cuba (second time to Cayo Coco) and our best trip yet. Went with little expectations as we always do travelling to Cuba. The first few days I really liked this resort, by the end of our stay I loved it. Yes there are a few small problems but not anything to spoil our fun. Rooms: Pre-set and given the keys to you on the bus ride to the resort which was nice to not have to line up at the reception upon arrival. Large, clean, no bugs. House cleaning was great. A couple time [... read more]s our mini bar was not stocked but not a big deal. Food/buffet: Overall good variety and tasty. Not sure what ppl are complaining about when they say there is no flavour. Also I seen steak sauce and spicy salsa if you needed to add it. Dessert is usually not so great in Cuba and I had full intension of not having any but was very surprised when I found a few that were really good e.g.. cream puffs, cream filled sugar donuts and a kids cereal with white icing. Large container of ice-cream were available at the buffets. Bread was awesome. All the "hot food station"servers were super friendly and always had a smile and a wink for you. A La Cartes: These were pre-set and given to you on your bus ride to the resort. Our first was at the Ranchon--Liked the outdoor setting but nothing else. Menu choice was not to our liking and we felt rushed. We were actually thinking of not going to our other reservations at this point but then changed our minds which we were glad we did. Our next was the Creole. Setting was more cozy and not rushed. Service was awesome. Tried some different foods and enjoyed them all. Last we had was Florencia. Again setting was nice although a little chilly that day in the restaurant. Food was great. Service also good. We really wanted to try the Asian but were unable to change our reservation. We were told by others it was also very good. Churro Bar: A great place to find a nice snack in the middle of the day. Not sure if they have them everyday and they apparently are only there until they run out. We hit it right a couple days. Snack Bar: Our fav. for anytime of the day. Great pizzas. They have poutine burgers, ice-cream pastas and cappuccinos. Service was awesome. Breakfast can be ordered/ huge fresh fruit and bread basket. We actually preferred it here then the buffet for breakfast as it was quiet and we got a hot meal instead of waiting in line. Also it's open air space...your on vacation who wants to be indoors? Pool: Never even stuck our toes in...lol.. (Always at the beach). Although we did venture up a few days just to get a break from the sun and find the churro bar. Looked clean...good music playing and lots of fun activities going on. Loungers were hard to come by especially if you wanted shade and I'm assuming you had to get up very early to save a spot, but lots of space in the water for swimming or taking a dunk. Beach: Yes lots of coral but we knew that before leaving. It's beautiful. Always a sandy spot to walk through the coral. Also there was a boardwalk to bring you out to knee deep water. Lots of shade but you have to be up early to save a spot. 5 minute walk is a beautiful area that is shallow with lots of sand dollars. Also saw a couple stingrays there. There is hobby cats that the staff can take you for a ride. Had a great time with Alejandro. He dove down to bring a starfish up to us...saw 8 dolphins..a flying fish and snorkelled by the reef. This was free but of course we gave him a nice tip for the amazing time we had. It was nice to have a chat with him, learn about his family and life in Cuba. Also everyday there was seafood paella rice, fish, potatoes and veggies severed everyday on the boardwalk. Diamond Club: Read a lot about ppl saying it was not worth it but we thought otherwise. We decided to pay for this only because of the late check out but we loved everything about it. The staff was enforcing that non diamond club not be using that area. The beach area was much better the regular side as the beach was not as crowded, there was a beach bar and waiters serving drinks too. A couple days the had bbq hamburgers/hotdogs and fries. Look for Ismale. He is a great friendly guy working long hours. Loved the late check out. We were also told we had a special dinner invite but we didn't make it as we were still at the beach..lol. My only complaint was when we first arrived at the resort around 9:30-10pm we were approached by a staff member with a bottle of rum asking us to follow her. (we were told our rum would be in our room?) We thought it was odd and was a little concerned about where our luggage was going as no tags were on them to show they were ours plus we just wanted to get them and find our room as we have had past experience with our luggage not showing up for hours at other resorts. At this point we were also thinking maybe this lady wanted to try to sell us a spa pkg/condo time share type thing. We did not realize she was the Diamond Club Manager and only wanted to greet us and tell us where things were and what we were entitled to. Wish we had been told on the bus (we were not on a Diamond Club only bus) that this was going to happen and it would have saved us feeling bad for not wanting to listen to her. Entertainment: Only stayed up for two. Very professional dancing and costumes. I applaud the person who does the choreographing. Awesome. Even the backdrops on the set were well done. Micheal Jackson show excellent. Overall...We plan to be back which is a lot to say for us..We always said we would never book the same resort but have changed our minds. Hoping to go back soon. Even our daughter is looking to visit next month. We loved that the resort introduced us to all the management at the night entertainment and they were visible throughout our stay. The sendoff and goodbyes from general manager on the bus was a nice touch and made you feel like family.

Hotel Camino del Mar: great beach resort

This was our fifth time at the resort. Great staff , good food, lots of variety. The fresh cook stations are the way to go, with two sea food stations, one with chicken, lamb, pork and beef. Made to order pizza and a pasta station with 2 -3 varieties of pasta and sauces. Salad and desert bars plus a full hot buffet. There are four restaurants, and snack bars at the pool bar and the beach bar. The grounds are beautiful, lots of flowers and hedges, several ponds with flowering plants and tropical  [... read more]fish and of course large palm trees. There are many daily activities to get involved in if that's your thing. For us the beach is what keeps us coming back, soft white sand gently sloping and protected by a barrier reef a couple miles off shore. There is a long wharf that runs out about 200 metres into the water. There is good fishing early in the morning and again in the evening from the wharf. During the day snorkeling around the wharf is great with a wide variety of fish. In the early evening there is entertainment in the lobby or on the patio just off the lobby bar at around 9 pm there is a full stage show at the out door theater, with a different theme each night. The rooms are a bit dated but are kept spotless by the staff. The rooms are being upgraded bit by bit. There is a full children's program for families. Great place for people from all walks of life. Good value for the money.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Best Holiday ever

The hotel, dining room and cottages with new mattresses was the best in the 8 years coming to this resort. The staff and especially the manager Eddwin and his people at the front desk were the best of any resort I have visited since 1994.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort

The Hotel is wonderful, the staff is unbelievable. It was our first time staying at an all inclusive and visiting Cuba and we were so pleased with our selection. The food is delicious, the evening shows were awesome and the Lagoon room we had was great. We would love to return one day. The entertainment staff is the best.

Hotel Mojito: Super experience

The grounds were beautiful, the staff wonderful, and the Brazilian chef was amazing. The food was more like on a cruise ship than a Cuban resort. the annimation staff were wonderful and we had a great time
